IT'S a busy and fairly attractive card on Tuesday but due to being away for a couple of days I've not had as much time as usual to do my research.
I have, however, spent most of the morning looking at team news and studying stats and form in my trusted RFO.
I've decided to keep it fairly simple and my Super Single is Man Utd -2 at home to Cambridge in their FA Cup replay. United were of course held 0-0 away but with Louis van Gaal playing possibly his strongest side I can't see anything but a comprehensive victory at home to the League Two men.
United led Leicester 3-0 at half-time at the weekend before taking their foot off the gas and I don't think it's asking too much for them to beat Cambridge by at least three. United -2 pays just under evens at 4-5 with bet365.
For the Top Treble I'm starting with Alex McLeish's in-form Genk – five home wins out of six and 14 goals scored – against an Ostende outfit who recently lost 7-1 to Kortrijk. Add Dutch sizzlers PSV at Breda as they try to maintain their winning run.
Complete the treble with PSG at Lille in the French League Cup semi-final. This is a tricky one for PSG but they have won six in a row and named a full squad for a meeting with a side who held PSG at home in the league last month but have netted just once in three outings. PSG are just under evens and look worth the gamble at that price.
I might put up a goals bet later but need to look at a few stats.

This new way of calculating the stats after January’s losses smacks of spin doctoring.
Why not publish the daily figures with and without cover tips to satisfy the 24/7 gambler and the 1 bet a day gambler which I am one of.
bad jasper, I’m doing it because I can – that’s the beauty of the internet. I can’t do it with my newspaper tips nor can the guys in the naps table. It’s not my problem if you can’t grasp the concept of covering and as I’ve said before you don’t set the rules. Also don’t compare football to racing – it’s much hard to cover a horse.

Fab, that’s exactly what I’ve said. It’s funny because I was talking to a very well-known tipster today, someone who is on TV a lot, and he said he didn’t care about his past losses because he couldn’t do anything about them. All he cared about was the next bet and in some ways that’s true. January’s gone – all that matters is making February profitable. Anyway, I’m calling it a night after two pretty hectic days.

Bayern look to return to winning ways after a big shock loss to Wolfsburg and I think they can do it.
Schalke lost huntelaar through a red card and marco hoger through Injury in their last match. Both will play no part.

gg1a, to be honest I don’t care what your view or bad jasper’s view is on covering bets. This is my personal bet and I’m letting you know how it’s doing – at the end of the day in one month I don’t think I’ll cover more than a handful of bets anyway. You talk about credibility – credibility’s also about giving people advice and options. No one needs to cover but if they have a large stake on a single that can be covered cheaply it’s has to be considered. I didn’t cover Celtic -1 on Sunday because I couldn’t see Rangers scoring – but many people would have covered for pennies as soon as it went 2-0.
Not getting on here much so busy lately it’s mad but do have a few banker bets below enjoy I hope.

It was a long road back returning from a one year suspension in July but Viktor Troicki has made short work of the journey, climbing from 847th all the way up to 54th at the beginning of this week.
The former world number 12 Serb has looked highly motivated and focussed since his return and has achieved a number of excellent results including 2 challenger titles and runs to the quarterfinals at Gstaad and Shenzen and semis in Vienna towards the end of last season.
He’s started up 2015 looking like he’s eager to continue the climb back towards the top 20, beating 4 top 50 ranked players to take his second career ATP title in Sydney, then following up with a good run to the third round of the Australian Open where he beat Vesely and Mayer before having the misfortune of running into Berdych.
The 167th ranked Ukranian Marchenko plays almost exclusively on the Challenger circuit these days, having only won one ATP main draw match in the past 3 1/2 years, that coming over 178th ranked John Patrick Smith.
Marchenko just barely made it through qualifying, outlasting 194th ranked Marius Copil in a third set tiebreak Monday.
That match likely took a lot out of him and I don’t expect him to offer much resistance to the very in form and motivated Troicki on Tuesday.

Nothing complicated here just a very good team against a very bad one with leaders PSV visiting second from bottom NAC Breda.
PSV are 17-1-2 for the season with 53 goals score and 16 conceded.
They come into this match having won 7 in a row, and are 12-1-0 in their last 13, not having lost since September.
Breda are in trouble at 3-6-11, having only won once since mid September.
They’re winless in 5 and have lost 7 of their last 10, and though their last 2 matches ended in scoreless draws, considering they concede more than 2 goals per game on average it’s hard to see them slowing down a PSV attack that averages 2.65 goals scored per match.
These sides have already met once this season with PSV coming away with a 6-1 home win, and while that performance might be difficult to repeat an win for the visitors looks by far the most likely result on Tuesday.

Club Brugge have their eyes on a league, cup double and won’t want to slip up in the first leg of this semifinal at home to their city rivals.
Though this will be a hotly contested derby match, that just gives me more confidence because it ensures they won’t take their opponents lightly, and there’s a vast gulf in quality between the 2 sides.
Brugge are first in the league, having gone unbeaten in 19 straight matches since August 24th.
Most recently they’e won 2 straight by a combined score of 5-0, and are 8-2-0 in their last 10, having outscored their opponents 32-8.
Cercle Brugge are third from bottom with a league record of 6-5-13 and a lack of scoring is the big problem as they’ve only hit the back of the net 16 times, an average of just over half a goal per match.
These 2 sides met up in the league just over a week ago and Club Brugge came away with a 3-0 away win, and now back at home in the Cup semifinal I expect them to achieve a very similar result.
Sheff Utd will win today I hate backing against North End but we are awful at the moment 13/10 looks a great price.
Even if it loses I will personally not be to disappointed.

Will, it’s been talked about a lot so I’m not going over old ground. It’s not using exchanges and it’s only done if it’s cheap and easy to do. You’ve got a lot to learn of you have to ask: Why cover? Every bet has to be treated differently and covering a bet isn’t always the way to go.

In all honesty mr f the only time i cover is if ive done an acca and im down to my last game. I dont have much time to keep an eye on games and cover usually whilst at work. Im actually risking to be sacked now just writing this… Joking haha. But am sure it works for some especially the larger stakers.
Same happy last game of an acca is when I usually cover, sometimes I do debate whether to see if the team can gain an advantage before covering for better odds but that is greedy.

Answer to your question is no I base my picks on many other stats sites that you’ve mentioned on Yer post but mostly go with gut felling first then either back it up or put myself off with stats.The site in question is one that I look at for some key stats of the day which is sometimes useful when trying to dig oot a winner.I don’t see myself as a tipster or have the bottle tae put up my picks all the time because many of them fail for im more of a long shot punter with the occasional single double to cover my bets and also there has been too many trolls on here to put up with if Yer bet fails that’s why I don’t put my picks up all the time for I bite to easy when negativity is thrown my way and wouldn’t like to get banned for biting back with offensive words etc but that’s how we go aboot it in the sunny East End of Glasgow anyways Yer SS looks a good shout and hope it comes in :-)

chappers, unfortunately there is no such rule. If it was 3-0 with 5 or 10 minutes to go they’d pay you as a goodwill gesture but with 45 to go they’ll maintain a comeback could have been possible so it will be voided.

dave, Sheffield Utd were close to being my SS so I’m much happier taking Man Utd -2 at 4-5 and getting a winner. It’s a long-term process for me so to make a £40 profit from the SS tonight is fine. Because I’d been away I didn’t have as much time to look at the card as usual but from the results there were quite a few surprises.
You wouldnt put your money down on them prices though david lets be fair and construed but look i know football is different and dont get me wrong here i go to old trafford 4 times a year, im in ireland logistically its tougher,i love football but my point is its very hard to change your lifestyle risking your money at prices like that, there are so much risks attached but i know raaljaca and mr fixit make a few bob being patient but I’d be surprised at the end of December with them prices or even 7/4 etc your going to have a heavy pocket!
