IT'S a night dominated by international friendlies so if you're playing make it for small stakes.

My Super Single came up last night thanks to Peterhead and I'm following up with Uruguay away to Romania.

As new sponsors of this column I'll be quoting Unibet's odds for each of my lines (where they have odds available). You can claim a £20 free bet when you open an account at Unibet via this site.

My Bonkers Bet takes on a chance on Scotland in Slovenia but with friendlies you have so many factors to consider so there are loads of games that could go either way.

got a good result with your super single paul. i added bradford to it make it a cheeky double which came in at 68 pound for a tenner stake not a bad night at all

Nice one. I was happy with my Dumbarton and Peterhead double but should have had more faith in Bradford as Barnet are on such a poor run.

Early line for the weekend, placed it on Monday night so the prices will vary now. Pays over 28/1 with www.betvictor.com

    Blackpool v Hull – BLACKPOOL @ 6/5 (Friday)
    Oxford v Swindon – SWINDON @ 6/4
    Dunfermline v Motherwell – MOTHERWELL @ 4/5
    Arbroath v East Fife – ARBROATH @ 7/10
    East Stirling v Peterhead – PETERHEAD @ 3/4

Blackpool are a side full of goals at the moment, scoring in 9 out of their last 10 games, scoring 19 & only failing to score against Everton in the FA Cup, Hull have 6 clean sheets in the last 10, but have only scored 7 goals in the same period. Blackpool SHOULD find the net at least once & if they do I fancy them to take the 3 points.

Swindon are top of the league after a 10 game winning run in League 2, however, face a tricky looking trip to playoff chasing Oxford. It’s Oxfords home form that’s letting them down this season with 7 draws from 16. Swindon look unstoppable at the moment though & I’m on them (at the early price of 6/4) to extend their winning streak.

Motherwell are on a high at the moment & have a real chance of beating Rangers to 2nd place if they can keep up their excellent form. 5 of the last 6 meetings have went Motherwell’s way, Well’s haul of 17 points out of the last 8 games, that along with Dumfermline’s return of just 5 points in the same period points to an away win.

Arbroath are unbeaten at home in the league this season, winning 9 out of 13 to date. East Fife have lost 5 out of the last 7 on the road and failing to score in 4 of these defeats. Arbroath have only 1 clean sheet in their last 8 games, however have netted 23 in this time I’m confident they’ll outscore an East Fife side struggling for goals at the moment with just 6 in the last 8 games.

Peterhead have looked a different team since Jim McInally took over the helm, winning 6 out of their last 10 games, including the last 3. The prolific Rory McAllister is suspended for this game, however Martin Bavidge has been in form recently so goals shouldn’t be a problem against bottom of the table East Stirling, who have just 3 home wins all season.

    Both To Score Coupons
Liverpool v Arsenal – In a staggering 12 out of the last 13 meetings at Anfield both have scored

Leeds v Southampton – Both sides have a potent attack, 2 of the top 3 scoring sides in the division

Crewe v Shrewsbury – 24 goals, 1 clean sheet for & against in Crewe’s last 6 home games take BTS

Hereford v AFC Wimbledon – 2 leaky defences, only 1 clean sheet in Herefords last 6 at home

    Pays 8/1 with 888sport.com

Killmarnock v St Johnstone – 8 from the last 10 at Rugby Park between the 2 sides feature BTS

Brechin v Dumbarton – Brechin scored in 11/13 at home this season. The son’s scored in last 11 games with just 3 clean sheets

Stirling v Albion Rovers – Last 6 between sides in Stirling produced 25 goals & just 1 clean sheet

Stranraer v Berwick – 7/8 last meetings in Stranraer feature BTS. Both side games this season feature 85+ goals each in 26 games

    Pays 13/2 with Willhill.com

Both BTS lines to come up pays 57/1 with Willhill.com

Al, I’ve got my bets roughly picked and we agree on quite a few. Not the easiest of weeks though with a lot of the top teams away from home. I’ll post a Blackpool v Hull preview tomorrow and it’s one I’m struggling with. Blackpool been great away, not so good at home while Hull as you say don’t score many and don’t concede many. It’s Blackpool or low-scoring draw for me but I’ll need to decide which one I go for.

Great stuff Al. Its great to get some insight rather than just some seemingly random punts that most of us punters post here. Keep it coming.

paul do you ever do the sections football coupon in coral. should put one up.

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

George, I never do the sections now and never advise it either. Think about it, your choice is being restricted. I know the odds are huge but you’ll get the same prices on the long list with no restrictions. So by all means throw a quid at a big accer it but ignore the sections and choose any games you want. Say there are eight games in each section and you get to the last section and don’t fancy anyone you’re forced to picking two of those eight.
PS. When I was a student many moons ago and didn’t know better I put 50p on a seven sections list and won about £1400. It’s never happened again and I was annoyed because I hadn’t put £1 on it..
