IT was one of those days when I was a goal short on four lines and ended up winning nothing.
Results weren't great but hitting the bar so many times was frustrating. I can't complain too much though at the end of a good week.
Jordan, Desmond, Greg and Scott all shared my pain on a day when most of us were scuppered by the likes Coventry, Northampton and Aberdeen.
While his Nap and NB lost Greg did land an 8-5 team to score treble thanks to Swindon, Oldham and Yeovil. The rest of us were p***.
It's another big day on Sunday with the Capital One Cup Final between Liverpool and Man City and that's a tough one to call. I've posted a separate preview but I'm more interested in the Man United v Arsenal Premier League match.
United have saved Louis van Gaal's job for now with FA Cup and Europa League wins with weakened teams. Their injury situation is a nightmare and while the kids did well against Shrewsbury and Mydjtlland facing title-chasers Arsenal is a much tougher proposition.
Their record at Old Trafford is poor but they beat United 3-0 at the Emirates earlier in the season. I think Arsenal, a biggest 6-4 with McBookie and BetVictor, will win but for the Super Single I'm on Arsenal to score 2+ at 8-5 with McBookie and Coral.
I'm putting up a both to score treble now because one game kicks off at 11.30 – if you miss that add btts or over 2.5 goals at Barcelona v Sevilla tonight.
Five of six Heracles-Roda games have brought btts and it was 3-1 in the reverse fixture earlier in the season. Heracles lost 6-2 at home to AZ in their last home outings and Roda have netted in five of their last six.
Valencia always seem to conceded except in cups and both should score at the Mestalla as four of the last five meetings have gone that way.
There have been loads of goals in Portugal recently and five of Moreirense's last five have seen btts and overs while Tondela's last six have seen both score with five going over 2.5 goals.
I'm also putting up the Top Treble as Villarreal v Levante kicks off at 11am. Villarreal are supremely strong at home, losing just once, and the only goal conceded in five games was to Napoli in the Europa League.
They shut out Atletico Madrid and face a side sitting second bottom with one win on the road. Villarreal look worth backing at a best 7-10.
Add PSG, who have beaten Lyon four times this season with a 12-2 aggregate, to do so again and odds of just under evens is tempting for a team unstoppable in the French League.
Complete the treble with Utrecht not to lose at home to Feyenoord. Utrecht should win and are 6-4 to do so against a side who followed seven successive league defeats with a 1-1 draw at home to Roda last Sunday. But the double chance price is good enough to put on a treble.

komolube1, can’t do match about the results sometimes – had 6 or 7 good days so can accept a few bad ones.
Having not watched the Wolves/Derby game, I did listen in to it and have to be honest, Derby were Dire. They were that bad. Martin scored a peach of a freekick to level the scores but aside from that, we just did not show up.
Stats went out of the window and Wolves suddenly decided they actually want to be part of next seasons championship rather than be involved in this years relegation scrap.
Teams that are on the ropes are generally there for the taking and on a weekend where we could of capitalised by gaining points on Hull and closing up the top 5/6 teams, we lost ground. Why do we shoot ourselves in the foot like that? I would say it was a similar way in which everyone expected Hibs to dominate last week but got burnt by a team they were expected to take apart.
Derby’s previous results pointed to an away win with Wolves form being atrocious. That went out of the window early on and Derby spent much of the match playing catch-up. The late goal sunk us and there was no recovering from that.
Home advantage against Huddersfield could be key but I’d like to see a change or two before that match ( maybe brink Buxton back into the back 4 and take another look at Bryson ). Martin seems to of found his shooting boots which is a plus. In the previous game where he came on as a 60 odd minute sub, his predecessor Darren Bent had only touched the ball 6 times ( a kickoff and a restart included ). I can’t see Bent being held onto for much longer, he doesn’t contribute enough.
Right across the team there were too many 5’s and 6’s, not enough 8’s and 9’s and I sincerely hope we can make the necessary changes to stay in amongst the top 6. I still find it unbelievable that we had no wins in 7 weeks yet we only ended up 6 points off the top spot hanging in there in 5th. Sheff Wed now breathing down our necks is going to be a tough few weeks now for the Rams faithful.
It was a strange one from the point of view of a wolves fan. I did predict before the game that we have a tendency to play up to the bigger games where were not expected to win. I’d say that we weren’t amazing but it was certainly our best display of 2016 so far. I do expect us now to get something from the boro game on Friday but wait til next week when we’re at home to Bristol city. We will have taken 4-6 out of 6 in 2 games and the jungle drums will be beating. I’d expect Bristol to turn us over…. This is life as a wolves fan.

If I was going to make one observation about Derby I’d say that you seem to push forward a lot but in the final 3rd seem a bit like confidence just disappears out of the window. Yesterday just seemed a bit toothless.
I wouldn’t worry though you’ll finish well ahead of us haha.
We won’t be in a relegation scrap but we will definitely finish bottom half of the table.

After identifying some value in overs in the Lech Gdansk match over in Poland yesterday, I think I have found something of value for tonight –

I have had some success on corner based accas recently, including fourfold winners yesterday and last weekend.
My acca for today is over 8.5 corners in the following matches:
Palermo v Bologna
Udinese v Verona
Sampdoria v Frosinone
St Etienne v Caen
Barcelona v Sevilla
£3.17 returns £13.41 (I only play with small stakes).
I find corner betting a lot more enjoyable than goals because there is always hope – 3 or 4 corners could easily happen in the last 10 minutes of play.
