I'VE had a decent week so won't be giving much back on the Europa League on Thursday.
Three English teams are in action and I've posted a separate preview on their matches.
On Wednesday I posted a Super Single and Daily Double and it was one out of two with Hibs beating the first and Derby and both to score bringing up the latter to put me in profit on the advised accas.
This is a week where I should have posted my Super Singles in the Daily Record. Yesterday was my first loser of the week on the site but in Wednesday's paper my SS was Sergio Aguero to score first at 19-5, on Tuesday it was Dundee -2 at 2-1 and on Monday Man United -1 at 21-20.
I did predict Aguero on my Champions League preview as well as PSV v Atletico under 2.5 goals and Man City and Atletico to qualify. On the site my Betting Club tip was Man City draw no bet and Sion and Derby were my teams to score.
Jordan's double chance treble won and Greg's only tip was a Derby win – so overall it was a good night and only Hibs' shock defeat stopped it from being perfect.
I've spent time looking at tonight's Europa League card and haven't really got anywhere. For now I'm putting up a double – Basel v St Etienne both to score which is also Jordan's tip and Olympiakos to beat Anderlecht at home.
Jordan has posted plenty of stats on the Swiss game and here's some more. Basel have scored in 35 of their last 36 games in all competitions while St Etienne have netted in all of their seven away matches this year. It was 3-2 to the French side and everything points to goals again.
By all accounts Olympiakos bossed their first leg with Anderlecht but lost 1-0. They're a much better side at home and should be able to turn this one around.

Posted this earlier on today on my thread so thought I’d share here too. Price has actually drifted back out and you can get 11/8 on LA now. Santos Laguna have drastically fallen behind in Mexico in recent years selling their best players to other clubs and not replacing them very well. They would have done a fair bit of travelling over the past week with an away game in Mexico City on Sunday, and now a trip to LA to face the Galaxy. I’m only risking a point on this because like Seattle yesterday, its the Galaxies first competitive fixture this year, but the talent should be too much for the Mexicans who have not kept a clean sheet away from home this season. If you want to take the 1.5 Galaxy goals that would be my NB but @ 13/10 for the win, I’ll risk a point. Seattle went full strength last night and I’d expect LA to do the same. Keane, Dos Santos, Zardes and Gerrard should all start, with maybe their new faces in Ashley Cole and Nigel De Jong.

Basel/St. Etienne Over 2.5 Match Goals @ 23/25 @ Marathon Bet – 2.5 points
I’m sticking to the game that was the most open for both sides last week and that was St. Etienne hosting Basel at home in a 3-2 win. The French have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 5 in all comps and 6 of their last 7 away games, only keeping one clean sheet in their last 13 on the road. The Swiss concede against the majority of teams in their domestic league but they’re usually good enough to put three or four past each side too, so for St Etienne to score three in the first leg would lead me to believe we should have a repeat performance here in Basel. With only one goal separating the two teams its anyones to qualify at the moment, and a 1-0 win would see the Swiss through. That will probably be unlikely though considering the first leg, but no two matches are ever the same obviously. BTTS is fairly short with the best available price @ 15/19, so I’m going to take a smaller stab at Over 2.5 Match Goals. Two of Basel’ three home group games saw BTTS & Over 2.5 Match Goals, with only one of St Etiennes away game going over. The French however did score in every away game and I think they can here.

Singapore league catches my attention this morning, with a game between two teams who find it hard to keep a clean sheet, Young Lions vs. Geylang International. The last four meetings between these two have produced a minimum of 2goals per game with both teams scoring. Hence i advice the following bets:

Both teams to score in the Krasnodar v Sparta Prague game looks worth a bet to me. Krasnodar come into this 1-0 down and you have to go back 12 games to find the last time they didn’t score at home. They seem to concede just as many though with 9 of the last 10 all seeing BTTS. 10/11 at 10bet and 4/5 at most other places.

Probably inappropriate for the site but I hate the Euro cups ( dislike most cups ) but want to join in so the policy tonight is to be on all the eight o’clock matches as draws. The theory is that if two out of the seven come up which I think is likely I break even – anything else is a bonus but I still get the thrill of the chase without having to think too much about it.
Some great prices on teams to qualify tonight with the last 16 being a lovely incentive for some of the teams to progress in Europe and get closer to the final.
Both napoli and olympiakos are 1-0 down but both play at home. They are both very strong at home and I can see both teams qualifying.
Napoli is 2.25 to qualify and olympiakos are 2.10 to qualify.
