SUNDAY was pretty much a repeat of Saturday with the Super Single losing and Top Treble winning.
I can't complain too much about that but of course it's the SS I'm keeping figures for and I'd rather it came in.
Everton let me down and that was frustrating after they played so well against Young Boys in midweek.
There was a lot of talk about Bas Dost on the site and I again tipped him to score first. He netted both goals against Hertha Berlin to take his tally to an incredible 10 in his last six games. Should have been the Super Single!
I wasn't too ambitious with the Top Treble – taking Lyon, Wolfsburg and Villarreal for a 2-1 win but three points on that more than covered the Super Single loser.
My goals treble is still running after both scored at St Etienne-Marseille and over 2.5 goals at Wolfsburg. The third leg is both to score at Cagliari v Inter Milan and I expect it to come after the way Inter played against Celtic last week – reasoning is on Sunday's goals tips post.
And I've included btts at Cagliari on a second treble with over 2.5 goals at Jong Ajax and Jong Twente. Reasoning for those are on the goals tips post – the Jong games I'm also doing as a double so I've a few hats in the same basket.
On Monday there are two games in Serie A – Napoli v Sassuolo and Cagliari v Inter Milan – while in La Liga Levante face Granada.
Napoli should beat Sassuolo but are without Gonzalo Higuain. In his absence a guy to look at for first scorer is Manolo Gabbiadini who has netted in four of his last five matches. He is 11-2 at Ladbrokes and BetVictor to score first and 7-4 at Betfred to net at any time.
I'm taking Napoli at a best 1-2 with Betfred to win. They've been strong at home recently winning five of their last six and the one defeat was to leaders Juventus. Sassuolo have won just one of their last seven on the road and that was away to AC Milan.
I was going to add a Porto side who travel to Boavista but they look too short to include at 1-4 with BetVictor. Porto, who played well in their 1-1 Champions League draw at Basel last week, have lost just once in 13 while Boavista have won one in eight.
Porto should win but the sides drew 0-0 in Oporto earlier in the season when the home men played most of the match with 10. It was also 0-0 in Boavista last season and Porto have failed to win there on their last four visits. If you want a bet on this one it could be Jackson Martinez to net at 3-4 with Coral.
Fenerbahce have won 11 and drawn three of their last 14 Turkish league games and are another short-priced outfit at home to Akhisar and a double with Napoli pays just under 1-1 at Stan James.
I've decided on a small card not to put up a Super Single. Having spent a few hours researching games this morning maybe the only team I see that I like over evens are Romanian outfit Ceahlaul.
Now I'm first to admit I know little about Romanian football which is why I'm not willing to risk them at a best 5-2 with bet365 at home to CFR Cluj. However, I've seen three or four “experts” tipping Ceahlaul or at least backing them not to lose.
The reasoning is around a financial crisis that's hit Cluj, resulting in the 24 points being deducted to leave them bottom of the table as well as losing their coach and 9 or 10 players in the winter break. Cluj have, however, managed to retian former Raith, Inverness and St Johnstone striker Gregory Tade.
I want to stress this isn't my find but I'm happy to risk one point on a Napoli, Fenerbahce and Ceahlaul draw no bet treble. If Ceahlaul draw the double on the other two will pay just under evens.

Had a nice little earner this weekend. I changed my betting plan and it is profitable, if you have a little patient.
I started with a fiver on Friday night, reached 40quid Saturday morning. Withdrew 25 and started again with 15. I have withdrawn another 35 this morning. Leaving me with 15 in my betting bank and 60 profit for the weekend.
May not seem a lot to some of you guys. But for someone who has struggled with betting and is new to this game. It is a welcome sight for me, plus, it’s the most I’ve won.
I use this site to obtain tips for upcoming games and do my own little research. I wait inplay and see how things pans out. If I’m happy, I’ll bet on over 0.5 goals. Odds ranges from 1.10 – 1.50. Nothing much to shout about. But as the pot builds, so does the returns.
If I had continued my pot building without withdrawing – id be most likely sitting on £150 plus.
To conclude, betting on goals is definitely the way forwards.

Israel’s Liga Leumit Matches see’s 2nd against last and the latter have been involved in over 1.5 goals in the last 5 games and also have conceded 10 in 5 away games so this is good enough for me to add to make it a four fold.
I usually don’t like doing more than a treble on any bet but i think the stats stand up for these selections and hopefully they come in.

The method I use involves a Betfair account and a Matched Betting Calculator (Google it as there are loads online).
Bet £50 on under 6.5 total goals on Bet365 @1.015. Then, on Betfair, LAY under 6.5 total goals @1.04 for a stake of £51.26 (liability £2.05). whatever result occurs, you will stand to lose £1.30 from both scenarios.
However, essentially, this means that you have just brought yourself a £50 inplay free bet for just £1.30! Now, you can either A) Take a chance and hope to win or B) try to get yourself about £30-35 of “free money”. Either way is great and down to preference. Personally I will take B) so I can take a punt on any event I want afterwards, with the winnings. Here’s how I do it…
… Wait until halftime in the match so the odds are more settled and movement is minimal. Open up either the Correct Score market or the Over/Unders on both Bet365 and Betfair. Then find a bet that is over odds of @5.00 on 365 and is as close as possible to that price, to LAY on Betfair. Adam its all dependant on the size of your betting bank. Was advised early on that you should never bet more than 10% of your betting bank at a single time.
For example if my betting bank was £100 I would decide how much a point would be. For this kind of money I’d go with £2.50 per point. Meaning the most I would go with on a single bet would be 4 pts.
Generally for the bank I have I very rarely go more than 4 pts on any bet anyway.
Its a great idea for somewhere like this because someone’s £2.50 is somebody else’s £50. Its all dependant on the allocated funds per month for betting.
It helps you to keep your betting sensible as well. I’m sure everyone on here will admit to winning a bet and then throwing more than they should have on the next bet and then losing it. Very tempting to do but with a sensible staking plan its better to go with more points if it is a single bet i.e. Liverpool to win at 11/10 and less points for 4/1 accumulator with Liverpool, Hull and Sunderland to win.
You want to be in a situation where you win your single bet but then still end up in profit if your smaller bet doesn’t come in.

It’s not a great price but if anyone backed it they can cover their stake with Liverpool not to finish top 4 at 4/9. Bearing in mind they’re playing city this weekend. Harry- I tipped that at the start of the season at evens :) I actually backed it again at 7-1 and 9-2 Ladbrokes 2 weeks ago. To be honest I would back it again at 2’s should I have a decent day today although there is some merit in waiting until after City. Jordan, I think we’re nailed on for 3rd to be honest, fixtures aren’t bad for us. Also, if Liverpool beat city on the weekend we could be just 4 points behind them. It’s crazy but we’re 8/1 for a top 2 finish. although I think we’ll end up 3rd as city should have less games than us until end of the season. Perhaps baldy but I’d go by current form over history. Dortmund have won they’re last three but conceded 4 in their last 2. I watched them Friday and they weren’t convincing to say the least. Went 3-1 up from an error from Stuttgart at the back and then conceded from a corner straight away. Stuttgart had only scored 4 goals at home all season too. Hence my NAP for tomorrow is Juve over 1.5 team goals.

– Fair play to Rotherham they came to have a go at Wolves the weekend but by doing so they were left vulnerable for us to pick the holes in their weak defence. Wolves have struggled in recent weeks to break defence minded sides down at home (Blackpool – two late goals and Charlton which finished 0-0). If Rotherham had have frustrated us for half an hour they may have got a positive result out of us.
A team with the capabilities of Watford who destroyed a Blackpool team a few weeks ago will be fired up for this one after their disappointing result over Norwich on Saturday and I reckon they should net at least 3 here.

Harry- I have dug out a write up I did for one of our resident tipsters. He might even remember it? I sent the email on the 16th July 2014 and would have backed it some time after then. I believe Suarez was still there and you were yet to buy Sanchez. A lot of what I said then still applies as we are non the wiser who will eventually claim those remaining champion’s league places. I cannot recall what I posted on this site exactly. Here it is if anyone can be bothered to read :)
Brendan Rogers has to be one of the best man managers out there at the moment. He took a team that finished 7th the season before last and got them to challenge for the Premier League. That had not happened before certainly not in the Premier League era. When you look at the composition of the squad it was not his new signings that did the business, it was the squad he in fact inherited. His best signings remain Sturridge and Coutinho only these two players have broken into the team and play regularly. Mignolet plays but I’m not too sure he is actually better than Reina. I expect the team to improve again and there are some obvious weaknesses such as the amount of goals the team shipped. Rogers firmly embraced the “we will score 4 and you can score 3 principle”. There was no holding back at times. I certainly did not think that they were capable of stringing 7 wins on the spin let alone 13. Even the most optimistic fan could not have thought that. Rogers will need to learn from his mistakes such as shutting up shop e.g. a primary example being the Palace game when they went 0-3 up and tried to score more goals. The manager should have stopped them and made sure that the win was obtained at all costs. That would have kept them in the race at the very least and asserted pressure on Manchester City. The Chelsea game was a game Liverpool could not lose but did not have to win, yet they fell into the Chelsea trap. I personally can’t see past Chelsea this year as they have got the forward they have craved. They are still a bit light in the department and not sure what will happen with Lukaku. Manchester City cannot be ignored, although when they previously won the league under Mancini they surrendered their crown without a fight. You just get the feeling that they are a bunch of paid mercenaries and the club means nothing to them. Toure is rumoured to want a switch back to Barcelona and is also unhappy how he has been “treated” and not shown the respect that he deserves. A lot of this is rather speculative as there is plenty of time for new signings to be made and for squads to be improved but the Champions League places will go to Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool the last will go to Arsenal or Manchester United and not necessarily in that order. I think Arsenal is there for the taking as they lack spine in the middle of the park as well as defensively. Their manager just does not like to spend money especially over the odds when other clubs are lurking. Manchester United is a bit of an unknown especially with their new manager. They will need to adopt his principles quite quickly if they are to have a chance. They have lost a few defenders i.e. Vidic and Ferdinand and they will need to purchase a rock otherwise they will ship goals. Luke Shaw seems a decent prospect but not yet a great player. The plus is that they are out of Europe and that will assist them tremendously in the way it worked in Liverpool’s favour last season.
In summary Liverpool will have the Champion’s League to contend with and the likely loss of Suarez. They have made some signings already but if Suarez goes a couple more will be needed and it’s never easy to bed that many players into the first 11. In many ways I don’t think they have to as players like Lambert will come into the side most likely after the European nights to lead the line away to the likes of teams such as Villa or of that ilk. Roger’s will need to spend wisely and thus far he has an average success rate in the transfer market in my opinion. Players such as Borini and Assaidi were loaned out only to be replaced with the likes of Aspas and Moses. If Liverpool are to challenge then Rogers needs to literally get 4/5 of his main transfers spot on. Liverpool will need to make a rapid adjustment to the additional games and to do that it comes down to the strength of the squad that is still far inferior to the teams around them. I expect them to run the leaders close and have a chance of finishing 2nd especially if 1 or 2 of the younger players step up in the squad. The players are genuinely hungry to win and are happy to play for Rogers. Rogers got a lot out of players like Sturridge, Sterling and will need to repeat the fete

I think mine was about 2 lines long and something like “I think they’ll beat spurs and be good again when sturridge is back” haha. Makes sense getting evens if suarez was still there and we did look pretty feeble and spineless in the second half of last season
Harry that made me laugh. Thankfully this was a copy and paste job. The point is you identified a market with the potential to make profit. What makes the bet stronger in my view is that statistically (last two years that is) Liverpool have done much better in the second half of the season under Rogers. However as always the proof is in the pudding i.e. performances and what we are seeing thus far is an ability to take out the teams around (West Ham, Spurs and Southampton in recent games) them and claw back a huge deficit. Its also seeing some money due to the Harry & Alex appreciation societ :D

I think if Liverpool are to finish top 4 then your forwards are going to have to start scoring goals. 5 between Sturridge, Lambert and Balotelli. Ok Sturridge has been out for a while, but he’ll be vital to your progression from now on. It’s too wide open to put any money on, 36 points to play for. Statically, any team in the top 10 could finish top 4. United are a rotten price by the way! Odds on!? Nearly choked on my own saliva.
Very true. I also did have in mind that you’re strong finishers and spurs traditionally aren’t. And at the time although you were 7th, you still had a lot in your favour. You were 4 points behind spurs but had to play them at home the next day and your recent record against them is very good which would mean 1 point if you won. Southampton were ahead of you but along with many others, I expected them to eventually drop off a bit. United were also ahead of you but in a false position in my opinion and relying far too heavily on their keeper, and their performances couldn’t keep them in 3rd place for the rest of the season was my thinking. I won’t be backing again at 2/1 as I’ve got a good stake on the 11/2, but it’s good to know all the Liverpool fans I know are confident!

Sparta are being backed heavily to win and have also only conceded twice in 7 home matches this season.
