I ADMITTED Saturday’s card looked tough – and that was without backing Chelsea or Barcelona.
Those clubs not winning were the big surprises on a tough day and I was happy to land two trebles.
My Top Treble landed at 7-2 thanks to Derby, Aberdeen and Brechin and a 6-1 European treble came in with Valencia, Caen and both to score at Augsburg. However, the Super Single was a shocker as Ipswich went down 1-0 at home to Reading.
Having looked at the card for Sunday I’ve decided to choose Everton as the Super Single ahead of Spurs. My feeling is Everton owe me one after I backed against them in midweek at Young Boys.
Roberto Martinez’s men played like the Toffees of last season and blew away the Swiss with a fine display as they played with pace and intensity. A repeat of that show – and Martinez isn’t expected to make many changes – should see them home and hosed against a Leicester side who have lost their last four.
Lyon welcome back prolific scorer Alexandre Lacazette at home to Nantes and should cruise to three points at home to Nantes. Back the title chasers and take Lacazette at 16-5 with Paddy Power.
Next I’m on wonderful Wolfsburg who have the hottest striker in Europe in their ranks in the shape of Bas Dost. I tipped him to score the opener against Sporting in midweek and he managed a double following three v Bayern and four v Bayer. He is 7-2 at Paddy Power to score first and 10-1 at 888sport to net at any time.
Add Spurs comeback star Harry Kane to Bas Bost and Lacazette for a low-stakes first-scorer Trixie.
Complete the treble with Villarreal who have won eight of 11 homes games and should be too strong for Eibar.
I’ll look to put up some goals tips in the morning.
