THE Champions League was kind to us in midweek with the four results going the way of the favourites.
Two of them – PSG on Tuesday and Bayern on Wednesday – brought up my Super Singles and that's five in a row (four if you missed Aberdeen on Saturday).
My Top Treble also came up on Tuesday, at just 6-4, and also predicted Atletico Madrid to win, Diego Costa to score and over 2.5 goals and btts at Nottingham Forest v Leicester so it was a good night all round.
Thursday is all about the Europa League and that means trying to latch on to sides playing full-strength teams. A lot of stars will be rested and you have to factor in the fact eastern European sides such Dnipro and Dynamo Kiev (whose match with Valencia has been switched to Cyprus) haven't played a competitive match since before Christmas.
I've spent half the morning looking for team news and basically most of the top sides will be resting some or most of their stars. That makes results tough to call so I'm keeping it simple and not advising or doing any bets until I see actual line-ups.
My Super Single in today's Daily Record is Genk at Anzhi and I'm standing by the Belgians as I aim to make it 5/6 in a row on the site.
Anzhi have struggled since the start of the season when the financial plug was pulled resulting in the departure of big-earning stars such as Samuel Eto'o. In January three more of their best players left – Lacina Traore, Ayodele Adeleye and Jucilei.
They sit bottom of the Russian league and will of course be rusty having not played competitively since reaching the group stage ahead of minnows Sheriff and Tromso.
Belgians Genk sit sixth in the table and can take advantage of Anzhi woes by notching a win. They are 7-5 at Ladbrokes.
Of the short-priced favourites the ones I'm most confident about are Juventus v Trabzonspor, Porto at home to Eintracht Frankfurt and Fiorentina at Esbjerg.
Juventus, who host the final, are too short for the treble but I'm taking Porto despite failing to win a home game in the Champions League.
They are on form domestically with eight wins and a draw in nine and face an Eintracht side whose last two away games have been 5-0 and 4-0 defeats to Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. They have injury problem and their confidence must be shot to bits so take Porto at a best 1-2 with Coral.
Add Fiorentina who have named a strong squad for their trip to Scandinavia. Mario Gomez is set to start after resuming his comeback with a sub appearance against Inter Milan last week. Fiorentina are a best 7-10 at McBookie and if Gomez starts I'll be on him at 19-5 at McBookie to score first.
Complete the treble with a slightly riskier Sevilla at Maribor. The Slovenians are an ordinary outfit who will be beaten if the Spaniards field a strong side – and they've taken away virtually a full squad.
Sevilla haven't won in six but played well to draw with Valencia last weekend and win could kickstart their season. They have won the Europa League twice in recent seasons so let's hope they take this tie seriously.
There have been a few comments about tonight being about goals and that could be true – but you have to pick the right ones. I'm putting up a fourfold mixing both to score and over 2.5 goals which hopefully has a chance.
Anyway have a go if you like the tips – but remember the perils of the Europa League and keep stakes low.

Defoe is reportedly injured, check bbc website, spurs have a whole host of players out, Dnipro are a good side, it will be tough for spurs. The only drawback is as Mr. F pointed out the lack of proper games due to the break for Dnipro. Still a dnb Dnipro seems value here.

Watch out though for a guy called Adin for Trabzonspor. He was the joint highest scorer in the group stages with Defoe and is definitely the star man for them in the Europa league. Trabzonspor have a half decent team actually with the likes of Bosingwa, Zokora, Bamba and Malouda all names you might recognise. The latter 2 are currently injured though.
I think Juventus will win easily against Trabzonspor, they are averaging 3 goals a game at home, and have scored at least 3 in their last 6 home games. They may make a few changes but nothing too major, their squad list is still pretty much full strength. What’s more, Trabzonspor are still without a manager and their defending has been awful recently. I was going to take Juventus -2, but will do Juventus Over 2.5 team goals @ 5/6 as it is quite possible they concede.
I also reckon Valencia are a good shout at 23/20 at a neutral venue as have a strong team with them. Dinamo Kiev will be without Yarmolenko who is suspended.
I think there is only one guy who can stop Spurs and his name is Yevhen Konoplyanka. I’m a Liverpool fan and I was gutted when we didn’t capture him in January. Dnipro maybe a small club but Konoplyanka is a big player who should be at a far better club. Tim Sherwood has already come out to say how much he admires him and I’m sure they linked to him aswell in Jan. Hugo Lloris, Kyle Walker, Younès Kaboul, Aaron Lennon, Mousa Dembélé and Emmanuel Adebayor are all ruled out with knocks.

Draw no bet will be better odds. DNB means if the game ends in a draw your stake is refunded, if your pick wins you obviously win.
Double chance means you are covering both the win and draw.
If the game ends a draw and you have a draw no bet then that gets voided but if you have double chance your bet wins

Stormin, we wouldn’t run contests if there were no prizes. We’re constantly offered free bets to give away so there’s no problem there. Mark, tricky as Napoli dont rely on one person to score. It depends on how Swansea defend.(dont know this as I havent watched them much, and only under Laudrup)
Callejon and Mertens are superb players as they do everything and usually can score great goals. Hamsik and Inler take the long shots.
Pandev is direct – get the ball / position / shoot. He doesnt mess around.
Take your pick really according to the Swansea defence!

Ajax v Saltzburg. Ajax be a fine side who’s form seems to improve as the season goes on. They will be looking to score at least twice to take advantage during the home leg. 13/8
Napoli at Swansea. This comp be not the priority for both teams, but the Swans have more to lose domestically (into the relegation mix) therefore will be less concerned about this one. Napoli be top quality and have to be one of the favourites for this competition. This one feels the most touch and go, but if Napoli field a decent team, they can be backed at 31/20

Wakefield v Bradford
The Yorkshire derby takes place at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium in Wakefield as the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats take on the Bradford Bulls. I saw the highlights are these two openers and Wakefield were close to upsetting Salford, whilst Bradford faded alarmingly against Castleford at home. Missed tackles and they got bullied upfront, and that will be a worry from Bulls supporters on such a short turnaround. I think Wakefield will ultimately wear down Bradford and win, but I’m sticking to try scorer market.
Jarrod Sammutt faces his former club and he is one big reason I think Wakefield will win, he is a prolific scorer he scored 31 tries in 39 games for Bradford and I think he will torment his former club. He is 11/10 to score various.
The second scorer is flying winger Peter Fox, his partnership with centre Dean Collis could cause Bradford problems and with the added creativity of Sammutt, I would expect another big season from Fox. He is 5/6 Skybet to score.

Hey guys, I made a 10 fold acca yesterday morning (3 to come in) Valencia being one of them, but BetVictor have voided that game cutting the odds by more than half. I guess there’s no point in questioning it until it does actually come in, but where do I stand with that? I guess playing at a neutral venue does give the ‘home’ team less of an advantage, but still for it to be voided? I’m not so sure….
If the original odds were for Kiev playing at home then they are probably right to void it mate.

Summary I did well on some in plays with Napoli my only let downs. Blind bet to be honest just thought a team that’s played champs league and sitting 3rd of serie A would see off Swansea. Not impressed by them and Swansea very unlucky. By far better side could of and should of won.
Very disappointing napoli display. Swansea dominated throughout and deserved a win. Shocked at just how slow napoli looked at times and how poor their central midfield was with Inler not impressing me. Was an absolute stroll for Swansea tonight but still expect napoli to turn them over in Naples.
