Feb 20: Bookies Views – Voice of the Enemy

BookiesView

EVER wondered how bookies are sizing up the weekend card. Here’s the thoughts from inside camps at 188BET and BetVictor.

There’s a look ahead to the Champions League and a good offer from 188BET on Arsenal v Barcelona

188BET View

Inverness are on a run of four unbeaten games including a strong win against Aberdeen in midweek but it’s hard to see theme beating Celtic today at 11.50 (21-2). They are a team who tend to ship plenty of goals at Celtic Park so with that in mind look at Celtic at 6.3 to win 3-0 and 9.5 for 4-0.

Down south it’s FA Cup weekend with Chelsea v Man City the glamour tie of the fifth round – or
the battle of the season’s underachievers.

Chelsea are 2.01 to win the game with City, who look like they’ve taken their foot off the gas since Manuel Pellegrini announced his departure, a chunky 3.30 (23-10).

We doubt either team will want a replay though with so many matches and commitments so Chelsea to win by a one-goal margin is worth a shout at 188Bet’s 3.70 (27-10).

They’ve played their first-leg Champions League encounter, losing 2-1 at PSG, but City have a trip to Ukraine that could weight heavy on their minds

Finally there’s a cracking game for the purists in the Champions League on Tuesday when Barcelona travel to Arsenal.

Not surprisingly it’s Barcelona who are red-hot favourites at 1.64 (around 4-6) with the Arsenal win 4.30 (33-10). Perhaps a score draw at a best for the Gunners at 4.80 (19-5) before they get put away by Lionel Messi & co in the return leg at the Nou Camp.

This season it’s Luis Suarez who has been grabbing the goals for the Spanish champions with 40 and 11 in just his last six matches.

It’s safe to say the former Liverpool star is on fire so what have 188BET decide to do?

That’s right, refund losing first/anytime scorer, correct score, both teams to score and double result bets on the match if Suarez scores. What are we thinking!?

Don’t forget money back if Suarez scores v Arsenal on Tuesday.  See site for full conditions and bet now at 188bet.co.uk.

BetVictor View

A terrific weekend of Scottish Premiership in action is in prospect with five 3pm kick-offs.

With BetVictor offering money back as a free bet if one leg lets you down on fivefolds and upwards it would be folly not to try and find a lovely little accumulator.

The Hoops are 2-11 favourites ahead of Caley’s trip to Celtic Park and will be a staple in plenty of weekend accas and look the definition of home bankers.

Inverness are 16-1 to do a job on the Hoops in Glasgow but class should shine through with Hearts and Dundee both fancied ahead of their trips to Dundee United and Kilmarnock.

The pair are 13-10 and 11-8 respectively and would be odds on were they playing on home soil which only serves to offer punters further value this afternoon.

In the two remaining fixtures St Johnstone are marginally odds against when hosting struggling Motherwell and warrant support at 11-10 to get the job done at McDiarmid.

Ross County should similarly win in front of their own fans and are 20-23 when hosting Hamilton.

The fivefold pays 25-1 with BetVictor but potentially more due to our price promise and money back as a free bet if one leg lets you down.

Dumbarton have failed to score in five of their last seven games in all competitions. They have been cut to 20-1 dark horses to finish bottom.

Despite the hosts losing four of their last five they should bounce back and appear over-priced at even money to beat the visitors.

It’s Super Sunday in the Championship with Alloa 14-1 to cause an upset at Hibs who are 1-5. Rangers should return to winning ways even without Martyn Waghorn and are 4-11 at QoS.

A fourfold of Falkirk, St Mirren, Rangers and Hibs pays 11-2.
