I PLAYED it cautiously on Monday with a 1pt Super Single and with one part of it void the profit was 0.5pts.

That's better than a loss and it was good to see all of Greg's goals tips coming up on the young Belgian games – and in fact his advice on the St Johnstone Under-20s' match made it a nap hand of five out of five.

We've brought Jordan on board on a more official capacity so watch out for his football and sports tips. He's been as consistent as Greg in his posts and win rate and is another good addition to the site.

As well as Scott Allott and Desmond plus Johnb's racing section and Ace Venturer's golf tips (he had another winner this week with Brandt Snedeker) it's a formidable bunch of free tips. And if you want even more the members' forum is the place for general chit-chat, exclusive members' competitions and extra tips.

After a quiet Monday it's a busy Tuesday with eight Premier League games and nine in the lower leagues. In Scotland there is one Premiership match as Partick entertain Motherwell and two big games in the Championship with Hibs at Morton and Rangers at Raith. The weather could be a problem north of the border so keep an eye on club websites for latest news.

Hibs should be on a high at Morton after reaching the League Cup Final but fell eight points behind Rangers who edged out Falkirk on Saturday. A double on the duo tonight – Gers travel to Raith – pays 11-10 with William Hill.

My only worry would be if Hibs rested some players ahead of Sunday’s Scottish Cup derby against Hearts but the league should be boss Alan Stubbs’s priority.

Rangers won 5-0 at Stark’s Park earlier in the season and face a side who have lost form and a couple of players.

The sides have met six times since Rovers surprised the Ibrox men in the 2014 Challenge Cup Final. Gers have won them all and netted 23 goals. Back them to take this one by at least two at 4-5 with bet365 and Ladbrokes.

In the Premier League I like the look of Spurs at Norwich. The Londoners are on a great run and face a side who have conceded 14 goals in four. Spurs are 10-11 at William Hill to win and the same price to score two or more goals – and that's Jordan's top tip today.

There are another seven games tonight and I've studied them all closely. The general concensus is the Premier League has been the toughest to call this season and while I like leaders Leicester at home to Liverpool and Bournemouth at Crystal Palace I'd prefer to take them draw no bet or not to lose.

I don't fancy backing Man United at odds on at home to Stoke either. They've lost on their last 12 visits to Old Trafford but it's not the fortess it was and if Stoke were in better form I'd be tempted by them at just under 5-1.

However, they did perform well and win over 90 minutes at Liverpool in the League Cup semi-final and showed their intent by splashing out £18million last night to sign Porton midfielder Giannelli Imbula. This is Mark Hughes's 100th game in charge of City and the ex-Man United striker would love to celebrate the landmark with a win.

Stoke not to lose pays 6-5 at bet365 while Stoke draw no bet is 18-5 at 888sport.

Man City should win at Sunderland but are short at 1-2 so for me best bet on the WDW market is West Ham, one defeat in 12, who 37-40 with McBookie to beat Aston Villa. Remi Garde must have been shocked at being able to add no new signings to his squad in January and you get the impression the club have given up the ghost this season and are already planning for life in the Championship.

In the Championship I like the look of Burnley at Sheffield Wednesday while Wolves should beat Bolton at home but are a little short when you consider Neil Lennon's men have shown some improvement in recent weeks.

Southend look a decent bet at Shrewsbury in League One while Portsmouth can win at Morecambe in League Two.

I'm remaining cautious with the Super Single and backing West Ham draw no bet and Spurs not to lose as a double. That pays just over evens but will be 1-4 if West Ham draw and Spurs win or draw.

There's a lot I like tonight – and that's without taking into account European matches – but I'm not going mad with the bets and hopefully I've picked the right ones for the top tips.

    SUPER SINGLE:
Man City 3+ goals @ 7/4 skybet…Managed last 4 meetings plus Sunderland have this season continually conceded at least 3 against the ‘better’ sides, twice against Arsenal and against spurs, man city and chelsea and even a low scoring Man Utd managed it plus 6 against Everton.

    Double:
Spurs win @ 10/11 ..Lost just once last 7 lg games, won 5/6 aways all comps and havet lost away since opening day against United.Norwich losing last 4 all comps conceding at least 3 each time should mean they are lacking confidence.Last meeting 3-0 to Spurs.
    Man City win/over 1.5 @ 4/6…reasons above
Double returns £35 to an £11 stake paddypower..May get better odds on above betts elsewhere. GOOD LUCK.

Dulwich Hamlet are top of the Ryman a Premier and have been in fine form recently, scoring plenty of goals.
On Tuesday evening they travel to struggling Staines a Town who have not only lost their manager recently but have also taken just three points from the last twenty seven available.
Bet365 offer 4/6 for a Dulwich victory. The option of Dulwich half time/full time appeals more at a more generous price around 8/5.

I tipped this on the weekend as my first bet for February so thought I’d add a my reasons for taking this market.

Norwich are tied for the lowest amount of clean sheets in the league with Sunderland (3)

Norwich have conceded at least 3 goals in their last 3 matches in the Premier League

Spurs have scored 7 goals in their last 2 league games

Spurs are undefeated away from home since their 1-0 loss to United on the opening day of the season

Spurs have scored in every away game since that loss

Spurs have scored two or more in 3 of their last 4 games away from home

The previous h2h was a 3-0 win at White Heart Lane

Norwich did some business in January, unfortunately they only really strengthened their attack with Naismith and Bamford. Gary O’Neill will sit out once more after his ridiculous challenge against Bournemouth and will now face the in form team of the league over the last 5 games (tied with West Ham).

    Tuesday – Premier League – 7:45PM

    Tottenham Over 1.5 Team Goals @ EVS @ William Hill – 5 points (Best @ 49/50 @ Marathon)

leaders leicester are 17/10 at home to beat liverpool and should do so,can you give a reason why leicester should beat liverpool mr f,been racking my brains over this game and would love to know why you think leicester will win, after watching the reverse fixture i cannot find a reason for a home win, leicester simply could not get hold of the ball and were second best all game.

    • sean567 8 years ago

Look at the league table mccathered. Leicester are much much much better than Liverpool. There’s your reason

    • wax 8 years ago

League leaders against 7th placed team. Leicester have a better attack and a better defence .. How many more reasons do you need .

    • maccathered 8 years ago

oh ok then,i thought leicester were outplayed in every department in the reverse fixture and wasn’t they top when they met.

Have a feeling Liverpool will surprise tonight. All the pressures on Leicester to keep their title run going. We’ll just catch them on the break with the flying Firmihno.
Still gonna have Lester dc in my bet for insurance anyway.

    • nazalus 8 years ago

Maccathered, take your red – tinted specs off and accept the fact,Liverpool ain’t what they used to be.
      I’m neutral of the 2 teams,but I think it’s going to be a score draw tonight…1-1 or 2-2.

    • maccathered 8 years ago

nothing rose tinted, just intrigued as to why leicester will win tonight, liverpool are not what they once were true,i agree a draw will be about right but i doubt liverpool will lose.

    • john smith 8 years ago

Well Leicester showed tonight why mr f and others tipped them macathered.

    • john smith 8 years ago

They only lost 1-0 though, no they are at home, Liverpool are not so good away from home with a poor defence that could struggle against Vardy, Mahrez etc.

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

maccathered, I haven’t picked my top tips but I don’t think Leicester will lose and they could win.
The game you refer to was at Anfield and yes Liverpool did a number on them.
I worry about the number of goals Liverpool have conceded recently and the number of games they’ve had although playing weakened line-ups in the FA Cup.
When I said Man City would KO Everton in the League Cup semis you went against that and you also said over 2.5 goals had no chance.
You are entitled to your opinion on any game but you’re not always right.

    • mgreen68 8 years ago

MACCATHERED.your correct on the reverse game at ani road, leicester were well beat mate and if we had a half decent striker we would have won by more. However Leicester are a different team at home with the crowd on their side.Lets hope we stick to em’ mate and shut their fans up and a few more too ?:)

    • alva glen 8 years ago

Leicesters next 3 games will let us know how good or lucky they have been so far. I expect them to win tonight because Liverpool and Klopp don’t know their 1st 11 a bit like Man.U. Leicester sat back in the Anfield game and just could not get going I don’t expect that to happen tonight.I thought Klopp should have put out his strongest team v W.Ham on Sat and tried to get the tie won now he faces a trip to London for a replay which I don’t think they will win.Foxes to win for me and could be Btts too !

  17. alfieoc 8 years ago

Once again for maybe the 5th or 6th bet in a row now I have been let down by one or two teams or a goal or two and is become quite draining!

My bet was a 9 fold:

Istanbul Basaksehir FK vs Tepeciskpor – Instabul Basaksehir to win @ 1/5 – ***WIN***

    Beitar Jerusalem vs Maccabi Tel
    Aviv – Over 1.5 Match goals @ 4/11 – ***WIN***

Jong PSV ca RKC Waal- Over 1.5 Match goals @ 1/5 – ***WIN***

Fortuna Sittard vs Helmond Sport – Over 1.5 Matchs goals @ 1/6 – ***WIN***

Deportivo vs Real Vall Over 1.5 Match Goals @ 1/4 – ***WIN***

Paris Fc vs Clermont – Over 1.5 Match goals @ 4/9 – ***LOSE***

Stourbridge vs Marine – Stourbridge win @ 8/15 – ***WIN***

Redditch Utd vs Frome Town – Redditch Utd to win @ 1/3 – **PostPoned**

    Maritimo vs Beleneses – Over 1.5 Match goals @ 1/3 – ***WIN***

Can somebody please tell me where I am going wrong as this is become a norm for me to expect to lose by a team/goal or two!!

On to today, likes of :

    Man city – WIN
Tottenham – WIN or over 1.5 goals
Rangers – WIN or over 1.5 goals
    Juventus – WIN – Wednesday
    PSG – WIN – Wednesday

Will put a bet on later listing odds and returns etc.. GL hope this weeks turning point!

    • liam_l 8 years ago

Then reduce your acc by one or two teams mate. Soon as you start increasing the teams in the acc pot you are effectively playing into the bookies hands

    • alfieoc 8 years ago

Thanks appreciate it just find it hard to find real value on less teams unless I put more than a 5er on at a time.

    • maccathered 8 years ago

if your going to do a bet of that size i would reccomend doing singles always then you are guarunteed a return.

    • alfieoc 8 years ago

Thanks only problem is singles get next to no return I don’t see much point in putting a single that returns a couple quid more I know I’m being greedy but trying to fine less teams with same money doesn’t evert really return much.

    • dom77 8 years ago

Or do a heinz or goliath so all is not lost. I guarantee one team will always let you down.

    • HullShaker 8 years ago

Alfie…stick to Over 1.5 match goals – no more than doubles or trebles. With due respect Dom, I’d give Golith’sHeinz, etc a wide berth…if you must better to perm your own accas.

    • alfieoc 8 years ago

Hullshaker I have been aiming for more over 1.5 goals accas as reading posts over the last couple months realised straight WDW can go tits up quite alot so been taking note from yourself and others to try narrow down where I am going wrong and info like this helps so thanks once again!!

    • alfieoc 8 years ago

Sorry to sound like a noob but I haven’t read much into what goliaths and other bets are and do need to do a bit more researching thanks for info guys.

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

alfieoc, where you’re going wrong is simple – ninefolds.
Every time you add a team there’s less chance of winning.
Also consider the odds – statistically even a 5-1 accumulator will lose 5 times out of 6.

    • alfieoc 8 years ago

Thanks MrF only reason I went for them odds yesterday was mainly due to lack of games I knew much on where playing even researching I couldn’t find much value so tried to stack everyone’s thoughts into one acc. Will defo be taking comments on board so thanks!

    Today’s treble

    Wolves O1.5TGs

  25. davros 8 years ago

Looking at tonight’s games, there seem to be some good opportunities on the WDW markets, looking at narrowing down an acca from the following games:-
    (Norwich v) TOTTENHAM 6/7
    (Sunderland v) MAN CITY 5/11
    WEST HAM (v Villa) 10/11
    WOLVES (v Bolton) 3/4
    BRAINTREE (v Welling) 4/7
    (Morton v) HIBS 4/7
    (Raith v) RANGERS 1/3

I’m really struggling to leave out any of the above teams as I think all 7 will win (possibility Braintree may be left out), any thoughts?

By the way, the above 7-fold pays 29/1…………

  26. sam c 8 years ago

Over 2.5 in the Wednesday v Burnley game looks very good value at 10/7! Burnley themselves have been in great goal scoring form and their last 5 away games have all seen over 2.5 (all competitions) Wednesday also have goals in them and have netted 12 from their last 4 championship games!

  27. HullShaker 8 years ago

    Morning gents,

You beat me on this one @Hampy! :)

    Dutch Cup:

    AZ v HHC
    AZ over 3.5 team goals @ 2.08 with 888

AZ are playing some great football at the moment and totally outplayed their opponents since the beginning of the new year. They beat Feyenoord 4-2, Cambuur 3-1 and NEC 0-3 in their last 3 games. Tonight they play amateur side HHC who reached the quarter final by beating NEC 2-0 at home. AZ coach John van den Brom has said he is not going to make a lot of changes for tonights game to keep the momentum going and there is a semi-final place at stake. They beat Cambuur and NEC by scoring 2 goals in the first 15 mins. They should be able to do that again tonight and that should lead to a comfortable win. The last time HHC visited a Eredivisie team was in the 3rd round last year and they lost 6-1 to Zwolle.

After a wretched Derby County month, I’m so glad to see the back of January. Our form this past 6 games I think reads 4 losses, a draw and a win. 2-3 games into that run , I called it a mini-crisis. My stance has changed a little and we’re right on the verge of a repeat of the 2014/15 season close. Surely not??? That season ended with 1 win in our last 19 games and we free-falled from the top slot to 7th. The last game was a 3 nil defeat at home to Reading.

There is a bit of light at the end of the tunnel though. I expected we’d be beaten by Burnley, expected we’d have a go at Man Utd in the cup and we did, the truth is we’ve actually been playing far better than our results suggested, but the ” plan b’s ” put into the last 30 mins of these games have seen us shoot ourselves in the foot.
We know we’ve missed Will Hughes all season and we’ve had to adjust. That same opening game saw us lose Bryson too. Bryson has struggled to shake off that injury but he’s right on the verge of coming back. He’s involved with the reserves and under 21’s matches and has been making an occasional cameo since early December. I can’t see it being long before he’s playing more of a role in the starting 11.
We’ve sent Ryan Shotten out on loan along with a keeper and I think another player, and if I’m truthful, Darren Bent could also follow, but the boss has already said there will be no new faces unless we get a bad injury.
For me, the team balance just isn’t quite right and with Hughes out, we’ve come to rely on Forsyth bombing down the left flank. Since he picked up his season long injury, Derby have been a bit limp – but his counterpart on the opposite flank Christie has stepped up to the plate and upped his game.
Martin up front is still being marked out of the game – every game and its hitting our goal tally and results. To think we as a team topped so many of the championship goals/away record/attack/defence tables around xmas and look at how 4 or 5 games can change that so drastically. Everybody else seems to of upped their game and Derby have taken a step back.
Derby’s midfield is a bit like the England Gerrard/Lampard situation, we have too many players who are so similar and regardless of what combination we’re choosing, that pairing for us isn’t working.
We have the players at the required standard, but the tactics/team selection and formation need looking at. Me, I’d drop Keogh like a hot potato and bring in Buxton. ( Buxton is a player who started life at Mansfield, then to Alfreton, then taken to Burton and then onto Derby ) – I’ve always felt he’s competing at a level that is just beyond him, but he’ll give you his all for 95mins. He’s matured as a player so much and when we expected him to be left behind come the next season, he’s still there, still fighting tooth and nail to contribute to his game.
Hendrick for me is an absolute must. The boss should stop looking at 1 or 2 other midfielders who have sneaked a goal and rubber stamped their name on the next starting 11 and go back to Hendrick because you know what you’re going to get from him.

On to tonight’s game: At home to Preston.

We’ve beaten them the past 4 meetings and whilst they used to be a stubborn team to beat – back in the days when Billy Davies managed them before we had him manage us, but that has all changed now.

If Derby hadn’t had their run of recent bad results, this match would be priced at around 2/5 – 1/2 maximum.

You can still get them at 3/4 with bet365 and that is a terrific price. We know we’ve got to do better as a team and stop the rot. This is that game that’s going to do it.
I’ve also looked at the Derby team goals and I really really love the over 1.5 Derby goals with bet365 @ evens.

Derby are not the only team to have the metaphorical slap from teams they should of beaten on paper. Borough, Ipswich, Hull and Brighton have all had a patchy period this term.

I am so confident Derby will return back to winning ways today, we might even cover a straight handicap, but a straight win @ 3/4 is a big enough price, as is the overs 1.5 derby goals @ evens with bet365.

    Best of luck guys.

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

nathanufton, really good write-up as usual. I looked at Derby several times and while I expect them to win and 3-4 is decent I’m leaving them alone until I see a return to form.

Hull, what are your thoughts on the Iceland cup at 6pm.

Not Massively fancying it myself for goals. Although could be wrong. Think the bookies reflect this though. May have a look Inplay myself. Something like a goal in each half.

Don’t think I’ll be lumping in anything greater than o2.5

Sorry Rich, just in now. Didn’t fancy it tbh – see it’s 3-0 with 20 to go so hope you took the Over 2.5.

West Ham vs Aston Villa, West Ham win & over 2.5 MG’s 9/4 **NAP**

    West Ham over 1.5 TG’s 11/10 **NB**

West Ham are playing really well at the moment. Payet has returned from injury and has been putting in fine displays Valencia is scoring regularly, Moses has returned from injury and Antonio and Noble’s performances have also been positives in recent times. They should defeat Aston Villa at home with the match seeing at least three goals. At Upton Park they’ve put two past Man City, Liverpool and Southampton within the last few weeks so they should follow suit against an Aston Villa side who were defeated 3-1 by fellow strugglers Sunderland at the Stadium of Light only last month.

    Prices with Bet365

    Good luck all

    • bullseye 8 years ago

Thats a decent price mate, the only thing that would put me off is having to rely on Aston Villa to score. Its certainly within their capabilities but you dont know what to expect from Villa nowadays and what with the board not letting Garde sign any of the players he wanted in the window I’d expect morale to be low as he ponders his long term future at the club.

Yeah your really gamblin on Villa to score in that one. I was kicking myself after the ManU btts offer last Friday night, hope it dosen’t happen again tonight.

  38. GregBrowning 8 years ago

    Afternoon gents

As often is the case the Belguim and Scottish youth games served me well yesterday but it back to senior football tonight! Quite a few matches i like the look of, the difficulty was deciding which one to make as the NAP

    Morecambe v Portsmouth

Not a place you want to be travelling to on a cold windy winter night, especially if you are from the South, Pompey will be looking to put Saturdays cup exit to bed by getting back to winning ways in the league! What you’ll see from Portsmouth’s a away matches is goals, usually from both sides! 9 of their last 10 away matches have seen both teams score and they play a Morecambe side who like Portsmouth aren’t too clever defensively but are good for a goal! 10 of their 12 home matches this season have seen both sides net and given Portsmouths away record its difficult to see these two not scoring! This could easily go over 2.5 goals but siding with both teams finding the net!

Back Both Teams to Score 19/20 (BV) (NAP)

Sunderland v Man City – over 1.5 Man City team goals
Stenhousemuir v Brechin – over 2.5 match goals

    Double pays 6/4 (NB)

    Lens v Brest

The hosts are a tough nut to crack at home and don’t lose many! Nancy and Dijion have both travelled here in recent weeks with only the later claiming a point! Brest, like so many French clubs really struggle on road and have won a paltry 2 games from their last 20 away matches in Ligue 2! Taking Lens to edge this

    Metz v Laval

Very simialr to the above match, Laval don’t travel wel! Metz decent at home and closing in on the automatic promotion places! They have a great record against Laval having won 4 and drawn 1 of the last 5 at Metz and have suffered just one defeat in 11! Taking them to edge this

Both matches more than backable as singkes at pretty generous odds in my view but doing this as a double

    Pays just iver 23/10

Small stakes over 2.5 goals treble

    Arsenal v Southampton
    Norwich v Spurs
    Man United v Stoke

    Pays 17/2

    • oozie 8 years ago

Hi Greg, it says Stenny v Brechin is PP on FOTMOB
Might just go with the Rovers v Stranraer over 2.5 match goals

    • oozie 8 years ago

Just checked the Stenny twitter and it says it’s still on so far, not sure why it’s showing PP on FOTMOB.

      Good luck with the bets.

Hull-shaker – good luck with your NAP mate! Couldn’t agree more

    • HullShaker 8 years ago

Cheers Greg – you too pal. Yep, Portsmouth away games = goals + Morecambe home games = goals so should have a solid chance alright. Think 6/8 of Morecambe’s last home have seen Over 2.5. Also had a wee go at Over 3.5 at 2/1.

  41. gebony 8 years ago

Yesterday was perfect as all my predictions turned green. Not only did the teams won; but it was a convincing victory all round.

There are lot of games and the fact that they are much is another bane on its own as I spent more time than usual in the search for valuable games.

After reading enough team news and stats I was able to scoop something out as usual. But note I won’t be stating reasons why i picked them as time is far spent today and the games are many.

    Here are my picks:

    1. England Premiership

    West Ham – Aston Villa – 1x

    Norwich – Tottenham – 2x

    Leicester City – Liverpool – 1x

    2. England League 1

    Stenhousemuir – Brechin City – 1x

    3. England Championship

    Wolves – Bolton – 1x

    4. Northern Ireland Premiership

Carrick Rangers FC – Glenavon FC – 2x

    5. England National League

    Braintree Town – Welling Utd – 1x

    Ipswich v Reading Home win @ 5/4

    2pts x 2 singles and a point double @ a touch under 3/1

Championship is always dodgy and I usually try to avoid it ( hence only 5pts) but you would expect both home teams to win in the scheme of things and the fact that they both had a weekend off sways me.

Dulwich Hamlet have been backed in to 13/20 to win at managerless Staines Town this evening. The hosts also had a key player ask for his registration to be cancelled yesterday which hardly bodes well for them.

Mr f i see you like Burnley and with good cause but I took Sheffield Wednesday in a speculative lng shot Acca.
Thinking they need a good performance after there cup disaster.
Is there any chance McGeady will play for them tonight? Just seen he signed but can’t get any news on it.

Very similar to mine albeit Arsenal instead of man city.

Now interestly turn it into the quad for just shy of 10/1.

Don’t do quads as a rule but blimey, it doesn’t half have a chance…. Maybe a point on that

  53. richb20806 8 years ago

Tonight I’m on Spurs o1.5tgs with a large stake. Put it on the weekend when Jordan highlighted it at evens. Dropped a bit now.

Also having a point on this treble

*****NB***** Spurs, man city, West Ham all o1.5 tgs at 4.67/1 on bet365

Feel it has a cracking shout of landing tbf.

    • richb20806 8 years ago

Would have stated Spurs o1.5tgs as my nap but it’s copying (although my big big stake for the night)

      My next biggest is

      Wolves v Bolton, BTTS at 5/6 (bet365)

      Also consider….

      Wolves o1.5tgs at 4/5 (Skybet, bet365)

We’ve not done well for a few games to be fair but watching us play, you get the feeling that goals ain’t far away. Bolton are pish and I do feel we can do a job on them. However this is the wolves and in my 30+ years of following them we let ourselves down consistently in the “easier” games. We love leaking a goal or 2 so do think Bolton should score.

Wolves and BTTS is 11/4 on bet365 and is decent value. Won’t be backing it myself though as I don’t back my own team to win EVER.

    • robertc 8 years ago

West Ham were definitely in my thoughts as well, can’t fault them on form.

I’ve got a few mates who are Hammers and none of them feel comfy with the “favourites” tag, even against a woeful outfit like poor old Villa.

I’m kind of wishing I’d found room for them on my coupon nonetheless

      Best of luck mate

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

robertc, I know what you mean about West Ham but the fact Villa signed no one clinched it for me.
Finally got on the internet to write tomorrow’s Record column – off to walk the dug and be back around 8pm for the games.

  70. richard 8 years ago

I see this has been tipped already but thought I would offer a few thoughts

    France Ligue 2

    Ajaccio vs Nimes 8pm

Nimes are absolutely flying at the minute winning their last 4 in a row and although 3 of these were at home, the only away win was against top of the table Nancy in a 4-3 thriller. Nancy had only conceded 5 in the previous 10 home league games and it was only their second home defeat of the season so it was a very good result

Add that to home wins of 6-2 against 5th placed Clermont Foot, 2-0 against 10th placed Brest and 2-1 against 8th placed Auxerre and it all looks good for goals

Ajaccio currently sit 13th but are good defensively at home with the joint best home defense in the league which has put me off the alternative lines but Nancy had a better defence when they played Nimes so I don’t think this will save them completely

    Nimes over 1.5 tg @ 3.00

I do like that one. I’ll have a point on it myself

  71. GregBrowning 8 years ago

    Good luck Richard sir

Nimes were my NAP and next best in their last matc, I did look at them
again tonight but as you say, Ajaccio are pretty solid at home!

    Good luck ?

  72. nathanufton 8 years ago

Derby team, 1 change from the team that lost against Man Utd, Johnson dropped in favour of Hendrick….. You beauty.

    Carson
    Christie/Keogh/Shackell/Warnock
    Butterfield/Thorne/Hendrick
    Ince/Martin/Blackman

Team looks solid enough all over the pitch and sticking with my derby win and over 1.5 derby goals singles bets. Really chuffed to see Hendrick back in the 11.

    Best of luck folks.

All 8 Premier league matches over 1.5 goals 11/1. Worth a point.

  74. theuht 8 years ago

    Bet 2

    Tuesday Evening Treble

    EPL KO 7.45pm
    Arsenal v Southampton

Sometimes you don’t have to look too far. Arsenal at home. Revenge for Christmas. Ozil won’t be bullied at home. Sanchez fit.

    Home win @ 4/5

    National League North KO 7.45pm
    Chorley v Fylde

Chorley have scored in each of their last five homes: 2 x 1 goal, 2 x 2 goals and 1 x 3 goals. Away teams have scored 1, 0, 3, 2 and 0 – the two teams failing to score being the worst away side in the league and the worst side in the league overall.

Fylde are the best away side in this league. They’ve scored in each of their last five aways, 4 x 2 goals, 1 x 1 goal. They’ve won their last 4 away, too. Where the opposition is not so great, they tend to shut up shop when ahead and ride it out, but when the opposition’s a bit better, they will make a game of it, conceding and usually then outscoring opponents.

Chorley are opposition that’s ‘a bit better’.

This is not a nailed-on Overs as such – where, say, both teams have a history of scoring and conceding barrel-loads – but the odds reflect this. I also think goals are a better bet here than the away. Chorley seem to me to be hitting a bit of form.

I would have liked BTS, but it’s not on offer at 365. However, I’m still confident with Over 2.5 match goals @ 13/20. (It was 7/10 this morning – cool!)

    Southern Premier League KO 7.45pm
    Chesham v Dunstable Town

This is far more of a typical Overs match.

    Chesham Home P11 O8 U3 F28 A13
    Avg GPG 3.7
    Dunstable Away P13 O8 U5 F20 A21
    Avg GPG 3.2

Chesham last five homes – three O2.5
Dunstable last five aways – four O2.5

    Since Sept 2014 – 4 meetings
    Chesham v Dunstable x 2 meetings
    Both O2.5
    Dunstable v Chesham x 2 meetings
    Both O2.5

Over 2.5 match goals tonight is 4/7

    Treble pays at 4.66

    . . .

    Good luck tonight, everybody!

It’s really nice when somebody gives you a positive shout for a call that’s gone how you’d seen it in your head, Hull! (Doesn’t always happen!!) Your picks also bringing home the bacon, I note. Looks like Arsenal may let me down and Darlo may need a push, but always good to get positive feedback! Best to you!

    Staying in France

    Auxerre vs Evian TG 8pm

Auxerre have won 3 and drawn one of their past 4 at home scoring and conceding in every game and overall were F8 A4

Evian have lost 3 and won one of their last 4 away games conceding 9 and scoring 7 – they did score in every match and conceded in all but their 3-0 win against Niort last time out. Niort by comparison with Auxerre have 12 points from 12 at home compared to 20 points from 12 for Auxerre. They conceded 2 to Tours, 3 to Le Havre and 4 to Clermont and while Clermont are significantly better at home, Auxerre have a better scoring record at home than the other two

    Auxerre over 1.5tg @ 2.37
    Btts @ 2.10
    Auxerre and over 2.5 ftg @ 4.00 or btts & over 2.5ftg @ 2.87 – not decided which yet

UHT, good to see some picks from lower down the leagues…so much value to be had if you can track/take an interest in form and team news – good luck.

I’ll be having a go at this Northern Prem/Challenge Cup Over 2.5 four-fold…

    DARLINGTON
    MATLOCK
    SALFORD
    RADCLIFFE BORO

Pays 4.5/1 and won’t be a million miles away.

    Good luck

    • theuht 8 years ago

Haha! Cheers, Hull. Funny you should mention tracking team news etc. for two years, I was subscribing to the Non League Paper and tracking lots of key non-league movers and shakers on Twitter. It was interesting, but ultimately too much like hard work!!! I think there’s a happy medium, because these leagues definitely offer opportunities – the ones you’re on tonight are definitely good for overs.

Good luck tonight – looks good!

got on vardy for a couple of points a little ago when you mentioned it at 7/2. Think when I looked a while ago it still had Ozil as favourite but not for me, even if Arsenal win the league if Leicester can hold onto top 4 it surely has to go to Vardy, seeing as many had them as relegation tips pre season!!

Some may think I’m looking through red tinted specs here, but maybe a chance to get a good price with a couple weeks to go until game time.

Europa League (I know, my stomach churns when I hear those words too). When Manchester United bowed out of the Champions League group stages, I wasn’t too keen on playing Thursday night games with it being a thorn in our attempts for top four. Now, I’m now looking at it thinking that it could be our only chance of European football next season with the way the league is shaping up.

We didn’t get the best draw in the world, but it could have been a lot worse. A trip to Denmark for the first leg where we’ll play FC Midtjylland who finished third in their domestic league, and runners up in their Europa group with only 7 points from their 6 games (a full 11 points behind group winners Napoli). By the time this game kicks off on the 18th of February, it would be just over 9 weeks since they have played a competitive fixture (12th December) in a 1-1 draw at home to Club Brugge which sealed their knockout birth. Some will remember they did knock Southampton out of the competition to get in to the group stages, but only kept one clean sheet in their 6 group games in a 1-0 win at home to Polish side Legia. They were pumped by Napoli by an aggregate of 9-1 (4-1 at home and 5-0 away).

All this may seem a bit irrelevant, but one thing that isn’t is that match fitness can be a real problem for these Scandinavian sides coming into a competitive fixture after a long lay off. They had a friendly yesterday against Swedish side AIK (0-0) and will face two other Swedish sides in friendlies within the next two weeks (Goteborg on the 4th, Malmo on the 9th). I’ll be the first to admit, United have been like chalk and cheese at times this season, but we have been considerably better since the turn of the year. We scored in away away game in our Champions League group, twice at Wolfsburg. Basically what I’m trying to say, is that I think United should be too much for them, being well into our season, and to score twice @ 10/11, I’m willing to risk a few points on this now as I expect the price will be a lot shorter come kick off on the 18th.

    Europa League – 18th February – 6:00PM

    Manchester United Over 1.5 Team Goals @ 10/11 @ William Hill – 4.4 points

Jordan, pretty sure that bet comes in if Man Utd go full strength and that’s the key.
Played really well tonight by all accounts.

    • Jordan 8 years ago

That’s it. Maybe not full strength but I don’t think there will be too many changes considering our other cup games this season. Its too early to tell of course and we’ll always have the benefit of having the home game to go full strength in the second leg if we need to, but I just think its a good price at the moment. Played very well tonight. Maybe the best all season.

Where is maccathered or what is he called ? ??????

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

milan, he’s a Liverpool fans and has faith in his team. Nothing wrong with that but he does set himself up with the way he queries some of the tips.

    • milan 8 years ago

Exactly mr f , I look forward to the next game he would query , maybe everton having no chance agaisn’t Newcastle ?????

    • jacksonator 8 years ago

as I have said before, nothing wrong with having an opinion, but the way he writes things it’s as if he has a crystal ball and is certain of the outcome, which unfortunately just comes across as being massively biased towards his own team – which I’m sure isn’t how he intends it. Twice he has set himself up for a fall now

I’ve just seen an article reporting that Ryan Giggs could be leaving Manchester United to go and takeover at Celtic? Surely not.

    • richard 8 years ago

@jordan All started cos he wasn’t on the bench tonight but seems he was ill rather than coming to us. Can’t say I’d be that impressed if he became our manager despite being less than impressed with Deila

    • Jordan 8 years ago

I wouldn’t be either mate. Something telling me that ex Manchester United players in their first managerial role doesn’t go well. Cough cough Neville :)

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

richard, there’s not a chance of it happening.

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

      Jordan, definitely not.

Right craneguy and Hull – what you looking at overnight

I fancy the following game for goals quite strongly – but then I fancied The Strongest last night and look what happened there

    Anyways

    Copa MX

Mineros de Zacatecas vs Leon 3am

Mineros have played 2 games so far in the group stage of this competition and have scored 6 and conceded 5. They won 5-4 away and drew 1-1 at home with Morelia who are currently 8th in the Liga MX (top div) despite being 11th in the Ascenso MX (2nd tier).

Mineros have seen 7 of their last 10 games with btts including all of the last 4 home and away and their last 4 home games which have all ended 1-1

Leon have also played 2 games so far in the group stage of the Copa MX and have scored 6 and conceded 4. They won 5-0 at home and lost 4-1 away to Necaxa who are currently second in the Ascenso MX while Leon are second in the Liga MX

Leon have also seen 7 of their last 10 games bring up btts including their last 5 away games which have all also featured over 3.5ftg and 3 of them have seen over 4.5ftg

    Over 3.5ftg @ 2.25

I do have a slight concern that most of the goals in Leon’s away games have been conceded and I’m not sure Mineros will score heavily but I’m reasonably confident of this line – if the fixture was reversed I’d be on a lot more besides

    Also fancy btts for both

    Veracruz vs Lobos BUAP
    Tijuana vs Coras Tepic

    Both priced @ 1.72

Just checked out the Vardy prices for POTY. Obviously some bookies will readjust as games have just been played. But Paddy Power have him as the favourite now @ 10/11 (was 7/2 when I first mentioned him a week or so ago) with Skybet giving 2/1. Vardy was 9/4 with Paddys just after their game kicked off and then went to 10/11 not so long ago.

Annoyed with myself for putting Dulwich in a fourfold that was let down by Arsenal failing to win.

Dulwich won 3-1 at Staines and also mopped up on the ht/ft @ 8/5.

Keep an eye on Staines in the next few weeks as they are now 9 Ryman Premier defeats from the last ten games.

Richard, giving it a miss till SA games settle down a bit and can follow some form, taken a roasting over there past couple of nites GL whatever you choose tonite ;)

only punt am thinking of is billy davies next killie manager positive a walked past him on union street today, pretty sure the killie chairman has legal offices in the toon in royal exchange square not far from there donno for sure but tbh, cant find odds on 365, wh, coral, pp on him taking over at Kilmarnock though, can anyone advise if any bookie has odds on it ta

would be a wee lift if he did come back to Scotland at killie for a shift, raise his profile a bit as been out the game for a wee while now, give killie a lift and Scottish football in general…………….

hull mite remember a posted alex rae next st Mirren manager when I seen him crossing Caledonia street in paisley just a day or so before it was announced, ye never know lighting mite strike twice………………..

    • andynffc 8 years ago

Crane, forest are still paying him, so unless he sorts it out with us he can’t go anywhere until next year…. Short term great appointment for kille as he is a good manager but long term will ruin them…. Only out for himself, eventually he will fallout with the board the press anyone who disagrees with him…. Really disappointing as he is a good mgr it’s just his other baggage he brings along which is why he doesn’t have clubs queuing up for him

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

craneguy, it was reported today Davies is the man they want. He has to negotiate a pay-off from Forest though as he is on gardening leave.
