IT'S another big night of top-class Premier League arras action and pick of the bunch is the mouthwatering showdown between Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson.

Van Gerwen beat the Flying Scotsman 6-2 at the weekend in the German Darts Championship final and has been in stunning form since losing to Anderson at the World Championships in January, winning 31 of his 32 matches and averaging over 103.

Both have started the Premier League campaign in style with two straight wins and world champ Anderson – priced up at 7-2 by bet365 – will be fired up for this one. However, I can't go against the dazzling Dutchman on current form and am backing van Gerwen to win at evens with bet365.

Phil Taylor was on top of his game as he thrashed Adrian Lewis last week to bag his first points and can follow that up tonight in Liverpool with victory over Merseysider Stephen Bunting at 8-13 with BetVictor.

Lewis should bounce back with a win over Kim Huybrechts at 4-7 with Boylesports and the night's other matches sees Raymond van Barneveld take on Peter Wright – with both aiming for their first win – and James Wade against Dave Chisnall.

England play their second game at the Cricket World Cup at 1am UK time and, following a hammering by Australia, they are now 1-2 at William Hill to get beaten by co-hosts New Zealand. Eoin Morgan is on a terrible run of form and is 5-6 to score 22 runs or less with Ian Bell 5-6 to manage 33 or more.

Given his recent poor form which includes four ducks in five games, it is 8-1 that Morgan is out for no score. His team are 13-8 for the win at William Hill.

Today's sporting schedule also features golf, snooker and tennis among the highlights. Good luck with your bets and post your sporting tips and chat here.

Scott's darts treble

Van Gerwen win
Taylor win
Lewis win

Good evening/morning gentlemen. As you know the NBA is back in our lives tomorrow night/morning depending on your body clocks so thought I’d get the details up early for all of you.

The OKC Thunder are at home to the Dallas Mavericks with bookies favouriting OKC by -5.5 points (they were -6.5) this morning.

The second game see’s the Spurs head to the Clippers in LA with the Spurs -2.5 favourites.

Tyson Chandler is still listed as day to day with Rajon Rondo still listed as out for the Mavs, although reports are saying he may be back to feature, SG Monte Ellis should feature after playing 37 minutes. The only concern on the Thunders side is Serge Ibaka who suffered a cut on his nose last time out but can’t see why he should be out.

The Mavs will need Rondo back to guard the All-Star MVP Russell Westbrook who has been outstanding. He has had three 40+ point games and a triple-double in his previous seven games.

Think the Thunder take this at home and push on to lock in that playoff spot.

Blake Griffin will still be out for the Clippers after his elbow surgery, with the Spurs having a clean bill of health. The Clippers have surprised a few beating the Rockets and Mavericks in their last two games without Griffin, but they’ve faced the Spurs three times this season and have lost twice, they’ve also lost at home to the Hawks and Heat, two of the top four defence in the league, with the Spurs ranking third. I know home court advantage etc but I think with Griffin out and the two losses against the better defenses, I’m going to take the Spurs +4.5.

    OKC Thunder ML
    Spurs +4.5

    @ EVS @ Skybet

Lets say half stakes as it’s only a two game night. Good luck if you follow.

Good call that Harry! What you on with for the England New Zealand game?

  4. Attila 9 years ago

Venus Williams & Kevin Anderson – added to the black book! Atrocious play as heavy favorites.
I’m sticking with AD’s safe Acca for a biggish stake, & Wet Lettuce treble got a smaller stake.
Lets hope more normality with results today!

      *BLACK LIST I mean…

  5. Attila 9 years ago

Actually, not going with Wet Lettuce treble as I can’t bet against Navarro the way she is playing.
Does anyone like Raonic or Simon? They’ve not been mentioned in yesterdays thread at all…

    New Zealand next to win

  7. Attila 9 years ago

AD – what do you think of this?

    Wawrinka, Young, Raonic, Nadal -2.5 @ $1.83

(Nadal is only $1.04 to win so got a bit more value from -2.5)

  8. alva glen 9 years ago

Darts : Go along with the Van Gerwen tip but go with caution on Taylor one this is Buntings home patch and he aint no wall flower.Bunting scores heavy and I think he can be world champ one day.Taylor still hard to beat tho could be a draw !

  9. waldo 9 years ago

absolutely careless, reckless ridiculous play from ronnie o sullivan essentially handing the match to stevens last night

  10. insider 9 years ago

Garline murguruza v Carla suarez Navarro, I can see this being a difficult match for both. Both are playing well right now and Carla on her day can make a game really awkward as seen yesterday. The obvious bet for me here is for their to be 3 sets at 7/5 I can’t see either winning 2-0. Good luck if your having a bet

    • sonnyboy 9 years ago

Yes, I can’t make up my mind enough to place a bet. Might have a look in-play. CSN has a steady all-round game, plays it safe and lets her opponents self-destruct, as they seem to do quite readily as of late!! Might lean slightly towards Muggy.

  11. Attila 9 years ago

Screw it, landed a 7 Fold Tennis Acca 2 days ago so just going going for an 8-fold today:

    – L Safarova (5.5) 1.14
    – C Suarez Navarro (7.5) 1.10
    – E Makarova (7.5) 1.08
    – C Wozniacki 1.30
    – D Young 1.16
    – S Wawrinka 1.23
    – M Raonic 1.19
    – R Nadal 1.04

    8 FOLD PAYS $3.11 ($25 returns $77.72)

  12. toptipterry 9 years ago

Lewis and Taylor double for me 11/8.Very confident. My luck is in at the Mo so I’m not stopping yet.Good luck all. Surprised Taylor is priced 4/7 tbh…Great price..bunting plays far too many loose darts..6-3win for me on that one and can someone tell bunting to STOP smirking when hes throwing,he should be in One flew over the cuckoos nest.Colin monk used to be bad doing a goldfish mouth everytime he threw…Annoying as f### !!!And lewis 6-4 against Kim h.,Might do a small fun double..couple of quid.

  13. JamesSpursFan 9 years ago

Terry – it’s first to 7 in the darts matches or a 6-6 draw

  14. Scotta 9 years ago

Totally agree with MVG and Taylor (MVG in current form at evens would be a super single) but Lewis’s inconsistency means I can’t have at 4/7. Barney is great value at 6/5 against a poor Peter Wright. Missed too many doubles last week against Chizzy but he’ll be under less pressure tonight as Wright is just not playing well

  15. Ad 9 years ago

Muguruza v CSN is hard to call as people have been saying. The key will be how clean a match Mug can play. CSN is playing very well but Kvitova gave so much away yesterday. Mug is unlikely to be so generous. If she plays well I expect her to win as she has the firepower, but consistency isn’t something you can guarantee from her at this stage in her career. And CSN is playing well enough to pounce if her error count gets a little high. One for Inplay I think.

  16. Attila 9 years ago

    RUSSIAN ICE HOCKEY GAME PLAN:

    SUPER SINGLE:
    – Izhstal Izhevsk +2.5 @ $1.95 (2.5 pts)

    TOP TREBLE:
    – Sputnik Nizhny Tagil +1.5 1.49
    – Diezel Penza & Draw 1.27
    – Atlanty – Win 1.50
    TREBLE pays $2.84 (2.5pts)

Heads up on the SS – they are $9.00 to win in 60mins or $7.00 at the moneyline. They are actually 2nd on the table, away to 3rd last in table so price seems completely off. It is Russia however, & no team news is available but for them to not get beaten by more than 2 goals seems like a STEAL. I thought about taking the $7 or $9 for them to win but thought id play safe as it is lower Russian league (can be dodgy!).
GL if u follow! Think I found a little gem here :-)

  17. Peter 9 years ago

Alva Glen, I agree 100% on what you said about Bunting one day becoming world champion. Since moving to the pdc he had a fantastic first year, with this being his first premier league campaign I think he will be more than happy avoiding relegation and being in the hunting pack after judgement night. Home crowd tonight, im on Bunting getting his first win tonight and push on. Good luck anyone backing Bunting 10/3 last i saw various bookmakers.

silasvuitton – I was thinking the same thing…ride the Navarro train while she’s winning. I wont do the bet myself, but ill tip her to win 2-1!

  26. Ad 9 years ago

Seriously unlucky to lose that second set. But you have to get over it, the best in the business do. I didn’t see the third set, and glad I missed it by the sounds of things. Anyone with a single on Safarova hopefully managed to cover for big profit when she went a set and a break up. Having her in an acca though is just plain unlucky. That’s sport I guess.

  37. Harry 9 years ago

Renwick I’m on NZ to win, had them in a double with Zimbabwe at 4/5. You could look at doubling them with something as they’re a bit short for straight win. Another bet with possible value would be for a century not to be scored at just under evens as I think the conditions will suit the bowlers

    • Renwick 9 years ago

Harry – Think am gunna stay away from it mate, 2 teams that on there day can beat anyone but do expect NZ to win with the form there on! Good luck!

    Premier League Darts:

    Singles

Wade vs Chisnel, Draw no bet Chisnel Evens
Wright vs Van Barneveld, highest checkout Wright 5/6
Van Gerwin vs Anderson, Van Gerwin win 10/11
Van Gerwin vs Anderson, Anderson most 180’s 5/4
Lewis vs Huybrechts, most 180’s Lewis 8/11

    Doubles

Wade vs Chisnel, most 180’s Chisnel
Lewis vs Huybrechts, most 180’s Lewis

    6/4

Wright vs Van Barneveld, 180 in first leg = no
    Taylor vs Bunting, Taylor win

    1.35/1

As was mentioned earlier in the thread Van Gerwin and Anderson met in the final of the German championship at the weekend and the levels were very high indeed. It was first to six legs but MVG played some incredible darts. None of his winning legs were above 12 darts with a 10 darter in the mix as well. Anderson won the 180 contest however and I’d expect something similar to happen tonight.

    Good luck if you follow.

Insider well done on your winner but like scotta says, the tips are just a guide to someone’s else’s thinking, I’m sure nobody blindly follows anyone that consistently loses. 46. Ad 9 years ago

What a rubbish set of tennis that was! Don’t think Haleps gna be good enough to take the title this week.

  47. Ad 9 years ago

This tennis is so bad. Haleps playing crap but so is Makarova when she gets a look in. I said In my little preview it was hard to call because neither looked convincing in the last round and its playing out just like that. If Makarova can just cut out a few of these wild missed from the bsck of the court Halep is there to be beaten. Im risking her to sort it out @ 8/1.

When Pennetta wins I’ll put my money on her to beat Halep next round. Let’s go Flavia!

  58. Ad 9 years ago

Oh well, guess it’s Wozniaki I’ll be backing to best Halep!!

Ad what you thing about Fogini at 1.60? Thanks

  60. Ad 9 years ago

    No way don’t touch fognini!

  61. Ad 9 years ago

Fabio has turned up to play today! Best he’s looked for ages. He was just as likely to turn up and not give a sh*t and lose 2-0 though and @ 1.6 there’s just no value in backing him. That’s my personal take on it anyway.

  62. Ad 9 years ago

It has to be Wozniaki @ 13/10 to beat Halep tomorrow. Was telling myself I’d take her if she was 10/11 or higher, so 13/10 is a great price as far as im concerned. Halep has been pretty iffy this week in my opinion, I’ve been distinctly unimpressed with her at times, despite some very impressive play here and there. Wozniaki has been very solid. Pennetta and Cornet both really tested her in their first sets and she came through both times, then handed out a second set bagel on both occasions. Really impressive stuff. They played here in 2012 and Wozniaki won 6-2, 6-3, though that is perhaps too long ago to be of much importance. Halep will really have to up her level to beat a solid Wozniaki who is really at home in Dubai.

  63. Ad 9 years ago

Bolelli to beat MOnfils @ 12/5 also looks big to me. Monfils looks to be in form this week but he can’t be relied upon to keep that up, even if he is at his most comfortable on a French indoor hard court. Bolelli is in fine form himself and I’ve been very impressed with him in his last few matches. If he maintains this level he will make this much closer than the odds suggest and under pressure Monfils might wobble.
