I DIDN'T put up a Super Single on Monday and have no regrets. I'd picked out four possibilities and three of them won – but I could have posted the loser.
On quiet nights no bet is often the way to go but that's not the case on Tuesday with the return of the Champions League.
It's PSG v Chelsea and Shakhtar Donetsk v Bayern Munich for starters and I've posted a separate preview.
Elsewhere there are three games in the Championship with Derby at Rotherham, Reading taking on Wigan and Cardiff facing Blackburn.
There are also games in League One, League Two and the Conference as well as a Scottish Cup replay between Berwick and Spartans and having checked team news and stats I've picked out my top tips.
On Monday I couldn't find a Super Super and the problem today is picking the right one – with the likes of Chelsea draw no bet, Bayern Munich -1, Blackburn, Reading, Derby, Bristol City and Sheffield Utd all teams I like.
Of course not all of those choices will win – but four or five might come up – and in the end I've decided to go with Sheffield Utd at Notts County.
Nigel Clough's men recorded a superb 3-1 win at leaders Bristol City last time out following a 4-1 success against Colchester. County notched their first win in six against second-bottom Orient at the weekend and the key stat for me is they've suffered eight defeats at home this season. The Blades are just under evens and while I'd like the price to be bigger for an away I expect them to win.
For the Top Treble I'm going with some of the sides I've mentioned. Reading could give Yakubu a start after hitting the FA Cup winner at Derby and should beat a Wigan outfit who have been in general woeful under Malky Mackay.
I like Blackburn who remember made eight changes for their FA Cup hammering of Stoke while Derby made seven changes for their defeat to Reading. I'd rather take Blackburn at 9-5 with Coral than Derby, who will be without top scorer Chris Martin, at 11-10 at a Rotherham side showing signs of improvement.
Neither makes the treble though with Bristol City in there at home to Peterborough as they bid to bounce back from that Sheffield Utd loss. City beat the Posh 3-0 away and Darren Ferguson's side remain inconsistent although stats suggest both will score.
Complete the treble with Bayern to win at Shakhtar and I expect them to do so by at least two goals.
I've put up a both teams to score treble and hope to make it six out of six after five out of six on my last two attempts.

Just a pre-match opinion about my beloved Derby, these are my thoughts only and as I’ve not picked up a local paper in a while, trying to get reliable current info on Derby is proving tricky.
As much as I’d of liked McClaren to of fielded a stronger side on Saturday, he chose to put in 7 changes. The team never seemed to want to get out of 2nd gear, and neither did reading. The referee although bad, at least he was consistently bad, both teams picked up lots of cards which ultimately led to Warnock getting his 2nd yellow on his debut. – his words ” I should of known better for a player of my experience ” – maybe it was the will to do well that cost him an early bath and probably the perfect opportunity to get into the FA cup semi-final.
From the game perspective, McClarens match plans went out the window. He planned to put Thorne on prior to the sending off from a winning position and close out the game. He changed from 4-3-3 to 4-4-1 and made some subs, our wingbacks came on and gave Derby the attacking outlet that was missing. Then Bournmouth score against the run of play, we reply, then they get a 2nd goal.
For McClaren, he said post match, we did not want this game going to a replay, it was either win or lose, that was the only result he wanted and it never went our way.
I know Mr F was on Bent scoring the 1st goal, but my pre-match opinion was an anytime option.
Derbys goal was initially credited to our new attacker who we got a promising look at, but eventually, it turned out to be Bents goal.
Martin, I’m a little unsure about his injury status, Thorne wasn’t used and he’s match ready. I can see him going back to the side that beat Bolton with maybe a defensive change or two. Hughes for me is our dynamo in midfield and is improving/evolving with every game and Hendrick is outplaying Bryson for the starting 11. Ince is on fire, as is Bent. 4 from 4 and 5 from 5.
I also stated that I see Bournmouth receiving an upset. Some teams on the fringes of the lower league order suddenly start to fight for their league status. As have Blackpool. Rotherham are a similar team class-wise.
I do think that Derby will be too good for them but I’d err against caution with dropping them on your acca with a handicap on the goals market. Rotherham can pull out surprise results and if Derby are not at the races from the off, we could struggle to break them down. At this stage I’d take a 1 nil win and every game from now until the end of the season is a big game.
A good result could allow us to capitalise on Bournmouth dropping points and put us top – at least until Middlesborough play Wednesday.
We’ve got good quality cover if we pick up a few injuries or bookings as we go into the season close so long as we don’t try to rest half the side each week, if the squad is managed and rotated properly, it could be the deciding factor between whether we get auto promotion or not.
I queued for my Wembley ticket through the night, met the CEO Sam Rush and COO John Vickers, big Sam said prior to the heartache at Wembley, if we don’t go up this season, we WILL go up next. Lets see if he’s a man of his word. Apart from the £4.80 beers and the £10 hamburger outside Wembley, I don’t like the idea of a the prospect of another Wembley play-off situation.
We have a phenomenal away record, I think 8 wins, 1 less than our home record and the stats and form point to a Derby win.
Alves yeah looks like a solid bet to me too only worry is championship can be very unpredictable in midweek games. For the first bet I got just Over 9-1. Last week I had a 9-1 and a 12-1 winners doing these kind of bets but also lost on 3 other accas. But for small stakes on a very reasonable price you can’t really go wrong.

last three games have an aggregate score of 25-0 to Global and with Global having dropped points lately, they’ll be eager to go back to double figure goals after the last couple. Note that two of the teams they played were Ceres (cup finalists that beat Global a few months ago) and Kaya (Global rivals and another league champion contender) so no big shocker that points were dropped.

Derby- Again, evens away to Rotherham. No Connor Sammon for Rotherham due to the loan agreement and given that Derby should be relatively fresh from the weekends changes I fancy them to nick it.
Bayern- 4/9 is pretty short but Shakhtar are having to play this game in Lyiv. Srna even admitted they don’t like playing there and Bayern at full strength and flying should see this one through.

Just gone for a mad one on Whitley Bay to beat Blyth Spartans in the Northumberland Senior Cup at 14/1. Shaktar havent played a competitive match for a while now and i think this break could cost them, bayern have found there form again after hammering hamburg 8-0 last game. You cant say shaktar have home advantage here either as the game will not be played at there ground, they dont have the best record against bundesliga sides either so although i think 2/5 is short as a single im adding this to a double.

paul I’m a bit torn over the ASA game
They have score 40 goals in their last 4 but all were at home and 29 of them were against the bottom side everyone gubs. They also took 10 off Bnot Sakhnin who are starting to ship goals while Holon had only conceded a max of 3 goals in their last 10 games.
Holon have also beat the current league leaders 1-0 at home and only lost 3-2 away to second placed Maccabi Hadera so hard to predict.

dave, two 1-2 shots in a row won’t impress many – I was getting stick for putting up a 17-20 Super Single tonight.
Mr Fixit fair point but if I added for instance Bayern who were strongly fancied by most I would imagine it would been a loser, my bet could be included in visitors accas to boost up their odds. I did last week have 9-4, 6-5 and 11-8 winners too. I try to stick to a single or a double or what ever my strongest selection is on my shortlist and it is working for me, and hopefully others.

To those wondering about Emelec, it’s not a league game. It’s the Copa Sudamericana. Uni De Chile are obviously from Chile and Emelec are Ecuadoroian which is why you get these sort of prices. High altitude plays a big part in these types of games. The home town is situated 502 metres above sea level whereas Emelec play 4 metres above sea level. Hence the big prices albeit how good they are in comparison.

Look at this for comparison. The Strongest play at an altitude of 3,640 metres (11,942 ft). Internacional play at an altitude of 10 metres (30 ft). Can you imagine what that does to your lungs after a 10km run around? I reckon if Internacional were at home they’d be at least 1/3 favourites.

MrF. Sportingbet obviously made a mess of the pricing for the Berwick game. They had Berwick and spartans at 11/1 prior to kick off. I slapped a tenner on Berwick and after they scored (no exaggeration) the bet went void. It would have been interesting to see if Spartans scored first, however, it appears the bookies, even although made an error, can simply do what they want? Clearly this was a false price and some computer hitch but, their problem, and not the punters in my opinion? Is there any point chasing it?

You noticed a mistake and rightly tried to take advantage – but everyone must be aware if a bookie spots a genuine mistake they don’t need to pay you. Same deal with the wet lettuce and they’re correct not to void his cover bets because again he knew the price was wrong.

I had simiar on Spain recently they were priced at 5/1 v Macedonia..Lumped on and placed small bet on Macedonia and draw to cover.
Next day got email saying Spain bet is void due to palpable error..i said fair enought but what about the draw and Macedonia stakes i placed..tough they said bets stand.
I thought that was very corrupt as they could now put crazy prices on favourites we back and cover..they then void fave..but lose cover bets nearly everytime.
I tried arguing and thought of betting ombudsmen but couldnt be arsed in end.
