FEB 15: MR FIXIT’S TOP TIPS (GOALS)

PLENTY of people on the site like a punt on goals rather than on the outright markets so by popular demand I've teamed up with 888Sport to launch a new feature on the site where I'll bring you some of the best bets available.

Some people do goals markets exclusively and sneer at win-draw-win bets. I like both to be honest but the advantage with goals markets is you don't need to pick a result.

There are loads of different bets to look at – teams to score, teams to score 2+ or 3+, both teams to score, teams to score in both halves, etc.

My goals bets will focus on both teams to score and the teams to score two or more goals.

Yesterday's both to score treble was beaten by Wolves who failed to hit the target at Norwich so let's hope for six out of six today.

I'm starting with Atalanta v Inter Milan – and the main reason is the stats that tell me both have scored in the last five playings of this fixture.

Add Arsenal v Middlesbrough. Hopefully this will be an open game and with Arsene Wenger likely to make some changes his side are likely to concede to a side that won 2-0 at the Etihad in the previous round. Long-shot Lee has gone for Patrick Bamford to score and he looks a decent price at 12-1 with bet365 to net first.

Complete the line with Ajax v Twente. Ajax have been in poor form and have conceded in their last three to Go Ahead, AZ and Vitesse while Twente have hit the target in five of their last six and netted on two of their last four trips to the Amsterdam ArenA.
