ANDY MURRAY had a shocker in Rotterdam yesterday as he crashed out in straight sets to Gilles Simon and in his absence Saturday serves up two enticing semi-finals.
First up is Simon looking to spring another surprise and the Frenchman is 23-10 at StanJames against defending champ Tomas Berdych, who Boylesports go best price at 2-5.
Then it's big-serving Canadian Milos Raonic taking the underdog role at 5-4 with Paddy Power against slick fourth seed Stan Wawrinka, who has won all three of their previous meetings and is 3-4 at winner to extend that winning record.
And while Andy is a goner his brother Jamie is in doubles semi-final action alongside John Peers. They are 9-10 at StanJames to reach the Final at the expense of Unibet's
even-money shots Dom Inglot and Florin Morgea.
England kick off a big weekend of Six Nations rugby against whipping boys Italy, with Stuart Lancaster's side evens at bet365 to cover the -29 point handicap. That's followed by a much more even encounter that sees Ireland -6 points priced up at evens by Boylesports, while the visitors to Dublin, France, are 11-10 at Paddy Power on the +6 handicap.
Other sporting highlights on a packed Saturday of sport include golf, rugby league, boxing and early-hours Cricket World Cup action.
Good luck with your bets and feel free to share your sporting tips and chat.

Not one for write ups usually as most researched bets don’t need explaining but I know cricket isn’t too popular on here so hope this is informative for anyone that reads it. Posting this early and I’m very confident on it With both teams at home and in very impressive form.
Australia are 2/1 favourites for the tournament and have a complete hold over England at the moment, beating them in 3 ODI’s in a row recently and being at home the conditions will suit them. England lost their warm up game yesterday to Pakistan.
New Zealand are looking very impressive lately and are also co-hosts so will be playing at home in favourable conditions. They’re a lot of people’s dark horses for the tournament. They recently beat Sri Lanka 4-2 in an ODI series and comfortably won the match played at the stadium this one will be at.
Cricket World Cup
Australia Win vs England
New Zealand Win vs Sri Lanka
Double 1.14/1 Ladbrokes
5 points
**WON**
As easy as it gets, NZ won by 98 runs and AUS won by 111. Which in ODI’s is the football equivalent of a 5 nil thrashing!
Querrey to beat Nishikori @ 5/2
Querrey to win 2-0 @ 11/2
Nishikroi has been pushed all the way this week by two players he shouldn’t have had too much trouble with. In fairness to him, Harrison and Krajicek both played great matches, and he dug deep a set down and came up with some great tennis at times. But the fact remains he was close to being knocked out by players of a lower level then his opponent today, and Querrey has the benefit of experience and belief that neither of those two had. He has beaten Kei 3 times in the 5 they’ve met, though Nishi did win the most recent in 2014. Nishi is a much better player now than he was in their previous meetings, but he’s struggled to make inroads into his opponents serve this week and Querreys serve is another level up and looks to be in really good form. The fact this meeting takes place on indoor hard will help the American as well, and if he puts in another good serving performance and backs it up with clean hitting off the ground, Querrey can win this.
i also like Cuevas to beat Giraldo for anyone looking for another acca leg. CUevas is @ 8/13 and the added meat he has behind his first serve should be the difference.
Gilles Simon v Thomas Berdych
over 10.5 games in set 1 @ 11/5
Berdych is on fire and has started fast his three matches this week, winning the first sets 6-1, 6-0, 6-1, which doesn’t make this bet look great on paper! But Simon has played his way to the absolute top of his game, and you only need to glance at his H2H with Berdych to know he will be in with a shout here. Simon has won 4 of the last 5, including a three set win in their most recent meeting in Shanghai last Autumn. Their matches are usually fairly close, and, interestingly, the first set of the last two has gone to a tiebreak. Simon wasn’t broken at all by Chardy and was good enough again behind serve against Murray to only get broken twice. I think in the end Berdych’s power will probably break Simon down, but he could have a real scrap on his hands early on.
I also have to add Kevin Anderson to beat Donald Young to my bets today. He is playing ludicrously well behind his monster serve. This surface is perfect for him, and he has dropped serve a grand total of 0 times so far and only faced his first break point in 4 sets of tennis in the very last game of his match against Johnson as he got a little nervy and Johnson swung out when serving for the match. Aside from the fact he is the better player, the stats behind serve, so important on this surface, suggest Anderson has the edge. Young has averaged just 49% first serve accuracy over his three matches, winning 79% of those that land. Anderson has averaged 64% first serve accuracy over his two matches, winning a whopping 92% of those that land.
Anderson to win is just 4/11 but that’s good enough for me to include in multiples. 2-0 is 10/11 and also tempts. Back at your discretion!
Hi As, Been using some of your tips thanks. For all 365 are doing a 50% bonus on doubles in tennis (ATP etc). With adds tips being value imo then extra bonus great. Beat the bookies.
Done Querry and Anderson at odds 4.66 and guess now 5/1.
“Our fantastic new Tennis offer gives you the chance to earn a bonus of up to 50% on accumulators including matches from all the top tournaments and events.
This applies to pre-match accumulators on To Win Match, First Set Winner and Set Betting markets for Singles and Doubles matches from any Grand Slam, ATP, WTA or Challenger Tour event, as well as Singles and Doubles matches from the Davis Cup, Fed Cup and Hopman Cup”
Hi add, sorry fingers like pigs tits on keyboard
Thanks ad, 3rd time lucky
Gary, I believe the bet365 offer really does mean UP TO 50% bonus. On a double though i think you actually only get 5% or something. To get 50% you need a 10-fold or something silly! A little misleading, gotta read the small print!
The overs first set gamble loses. Definitely on unders second set!
My confidence in Berdych to win the title is growing by the second!
I don’t post too often but st. Vincents are playing Corofin in the All Ireland club championship semi final in a few minutes. Vincents are 11/8 -1 point to win. This is a great price. Vincents are current all Ireland club champions and have one of the best footballers in the country in Diarmuid Connelly. This is well worth a punt for anyone that fancies it.
Just to add Gary that while I think Querrey has a better chance than his odds suggest he is still the least likely to win of my tips. Pliskova/Anderson/ Wawrinka and Cuevas are all more likely to end up as winners. But hopefully they all do!
Berdych looks untouchable right now. If he keeps this up I’ll end up tipping him to win Wimbledon, and that not something I ever thought Id be doing!
So much for Simon showing up today as all the experts predicted. He’s been taught a lesson by Berdych…mans on fire! Don’t know why i doubted him?!
Btw AD – I really like Cuevas. He’s invincible on Clay, and he’s also beaten Giraldo easily on both times they’ve met before. Best bet of the night I think.
Think ill just do a treble of Cuevas, Wawrinka & Anderson – pays $3.36
Pliskova served @ 35% in the first set…….it’s just not possible for her to win with a percentage that low. Hopefully she finds her serve this set.
This has been a truly shocking performance. What is wrong with Pliskova?!? I would genuinely have done better than she has today.
Pathetic
She just knocked my treble. She didnt even turn up !
did you watch the match Brian? pathetic is definitely the word. maybe she is suffering some delayed effects of jetlag or something……i’m really struggling to find an explanation for how poor that was in every department. 38% first serve and 1 ace to 5 double faults….that wasn’t even a county level performance.
I did Ad was on Bet365, still cant believe it myself lol.
Ad – PLISKOVA
Womens tennis :-((
More up and down than a tarts knickers
Someone explain how they get same prize money as men for majors? Political correctness gone mad.
Only hope for me after Isners defeat – now is Wawrinka to go all the way, for the 4/1 winner.
Extremely early bets here but I think these have very good value.
NFL Ante Post Bets
Green Bay Packers to win the NFC @ 4/1 EW @ 1/2 odds (2 places, NFC Final would win @ 2/1) Ladbrokes/WillHill
Green Bay Packers to win the Superbowl @ 8/1 EW @ 1/2 odds (2 places, Superbowl 50 place would win @ 4/1) BV (Ladbrokes/WillHill @ 7/1)
Green Bay will be holding on to pretty much all of their star players. The only player to hit free agency will be WR Randall Cobb, who may well sign a new contract anyway. The favourites are Seattle for obvious reasons, but with unclear future of Marshawn Lynch, and Seattle scraping through the NFC championship with that 2 point conversion and the botched onside kick recovery, my money is on the Packers and Aaron Rodgers to prevail this time round. Best not forget, I’m a Packers fan. But I can’t turn down these prices.
I’m turning to an Anderson / Cuevas double to make up for that Pliskova fiasco. Also on Anderson/Cuevas/ Wawrinka. And a 4 fold with Querrey in there too. Lets hope the day’s kind to us from here on out.
5PM -7 Ireland to beat france @ EVENS
AD
I am on;

Anderson/Wawrinka/Petkovic pays approx 7/2
and couldnt resist;
Petkovic 2-0 at 5/2 7-00pm Antwerp
Come on Anderson, let’s turn this round and make everyone happy (apart from Young obviously)
Thanks to Mr. Ad for the heads-up on Cuevas, I would have miised it. Your boy Sousa did well, was always chasing Vanni, but I cashed out in fair profit. Like everybody else, was gutted with Pliskova’s non-performance, but it was a close call to take her over the Spanish girl who has a good all-round game and survived the grunting Italian yesterday! Hope everyone did well with Berdych and Stan the Man! Made up for the mishap with Murray and Safarova yesterday. I was also on Hantchukova in the early Pattaya game, nice result.
Keep up the good work all you tennis buffs, appreciate your previews and tips, makes a nice change from the football!
Come on Anderson
Petkovic…Ya Dancer!!!
COME ON ANDERSON BRING HOME THE TREBLE !

Get in there Anderson, legend!

**WON** – treble of Cuevas, Wawrinka & Anderson – pays $3.36
Sorry Attila
looks like it was your treble Ad posted later – well done anyway to both,
Good stuff Atilla, De Niro. Not so much a case of copying as a case of great minds thinking alike!
For sure Ad with your write ups/ interest know you make up your own mind on the tennis – well done Ad,
The big face off tomorrow,
I am on Stan at 4/1 for tourny win
going in with Stan 2-0 at Hills 3/1 also, hoping he gets into Berdych early.
Boom boom! Looks like be made a few people sweat there, even if he made a lot of people happy in the end! 0-40 on serve in set and saved it. Yeah boiiiii!
Guys, I’ve got a few bets for tonight that I’m keen on:
College Basketball Treble:
– Belmont ML
– Oklahoma +7.5
– Texas A&M +8.5
Pays ODDS of $2.00 (2 pts)
NHL Hockey Treble:
– Montreal ML
– Colorado ML
– Washington +1.5
Pays ODDS of $3.19 (2 pts)
Footy Treble:
– Alajuelense Draw-No-Bet
– Allianza Lima Draw-No-Bet
– Perth Glory +2.0
Pays ODDS of $2.24 (2 pts)
GL guys!
Btw – for any1 interested in my Hockey Treble…the reason I’m keen on Colorado is cos Dallas lost their best player to injury last night (the leagues 2nd tip scorer), & also lost 2 more players to injury. None of the 3 travelled to Denver today.
Also, Colorado, despite their table position have owned this series and I can see them winning again today.
The straight win in normal time pays EVENS & I think is a good bet for anyone after a single.
American hockey treble
Candadiens 5/12
Predators 5/13
Rangers 5/9
treble 2.05/1 @ bet365
-WON-
Ad/De Niro – yeh whebthere’s only a few matches on when it hits the quarters & semi’s we’re likely to be on similar bets.
So glad I managed to avoid the Pliskova fiasco (only cos I missed the start – lucky!). Simon was a disappointment but now I’m so torn between Wawrinka & Berdych? Best bet might be over 22.5 games which will be about $1.80. What you think guys?
Anyone know where to get some value in the 2 cricket games tonight?
South Africa 1/33 lol
AndyC – had a look at these markets myself. Doesn’t seem to be any bet types that have value in cricket – no handicap type bets, just win or lose or who hits most 4’s or most 6’s etc (which is just like having a throw at the stumps punting wise).
In the end I’ve decided to give the cricket a miss.
Amla top batsman in play 2/1 or de villiers
South Africa v Zimbabwe
Highest opening partnership – South Africa
1/2 Bet365
AndyC have a look at
India v Pakistan
Team of top batsman – India
4/6
Simply as I see their lineup being very strong and the Pakistan attack possibly a little blunt
Ah boys I fell asleep – thanks for the suggestions though I hope you won
