ARSENAL, Spurs and Stoke – I flagged them up as possibilities for Wednesday's Super Single after West Ham landed lucky on Tuesday night.

I still believe all of them will win but of the three I've plumped for Stoke at home to Swansea.

Stoke have recovered from a sticky patch with two good displays in beating Man Utd at home and drawing way to Southampton.

They've lost just twice at home this season and have beaten Swansea 2-0 at home in both of the Premier League meetings at the Brittania.

Swansea were lifted by Garry Monk's appointment and ran out easy 3-0 winners at home to Cardiff but they struggle on the road with just three wins and I reckon Stoke will edge a win.

Arsene Wenger was furious after his side's 5-1 thumping at Liverpool on Saturday while Man United's 2-2 draw at home to Fulham must have felt like a defeat to Davie Moyes and the club's support.

Wenger will put the Gunners' shocker down to a dreadful start while at Old Trafford the problems run deeper and confidence must be rock bottom.

The Red Devils have failed to beat Fulham, Stoke and Sunderland in recent weeks so Arsenal look a decent shout at 23-20 with William Hill and Paddy Power as long as they can more out of Mesut Ozil than they did at Anfield.

As has been pointed out though best bet could be both to score and it's come up in six of the last seven meetings at the Emirates.

Spurs continue to challenge for a top-four slot and can win at a Newcastle side who have failed to score in three games since selling Yohan Cabaye. The atmosphere at St James's Park has been poisonous and Spurs, 7-5 at William Hill and Coral, can take advantage.

Man City should bounce back from failing to score against Chelsea and Norwich by seeing off Sunderland at home but are no bigger than 2-11 at Ladbrokes and bet365. City's last four at home to Sunderland have finished 3-0, 3-3, 5-0 and 4-3 so over 2.5 goals looks a decent shout.

Liverpool were unstoppable against Arsenal and travel to face the Fulham side that frustrated Man Utd. Brendan Rodgers's side have won four out of six at Craven Cottage but I don't like backing them away at a best 4-9 (various).

Luis Suarez didn't claim any of the five against Arsenal and will be keen to make amends so instead I'll back him at 31-10 with BetVictor.

Three of the last four meetings between the sides at Craven Cottage have gone over 3.5 goals so it's another to look at for over 2.5.

Everton are also a tad short at 1-2 at home to a revitalised Crystal Palace but after much thought I'm putting them and Liverpool on the Top Treble with Twente away to Groningen.

Twente have won four out of five and scored 10 in five outings to maintain their title and should beat a Groningen side with just one win in 10.

On the continent there are cup games in France, Germany, Italy and Spain. Barcelona head to Real Sociedad 2-0 up and should extend that lead but have a poor record there so again I'd prefer to look at both teams to score.

On Tuesday I tipped Cristiano Ronaldo at 3-1 to score first and if Lionel Messi – who hit a double at the weekend – starts I'll be on him to hit the opener.

Roma take a 3-2 lead to Napoli as they attempt to reach the Italian Cup Final and should at least avoid defeat. Oor man from Napoli is sitting on the fence in this one but I'm going over 2.5 goals which has come up in five of six meetings between the pair in Naples.

In Germany you'd imagine Bayern Munich will thump if Hamburg away if they want to. Hamburg have lost their last five and conceded exactly three in all of them – including three successive 3-0 defeats. To score 3+ Bayern are just 8-13 at Coral while Bayern -1 pays 4-9 at Stan James.

Staying in Germany and Bayer Leverkusen should beat Kaiserslautern at home while Hoffenheim v Wolfsburg always seems to go over 2.5 goals so back that again.

I like the look of Brentford draw no bet and Bayern tomorrow for just under evens most places. Brentford sitting first and Sheffield United 21st…am Bayern are Bayern after all!

  2. Paul O 10 years ago

I’m gonna get in early and say Arsenal here for the super single. Right they were thumped 5-1 away by Liverpool at the weekend but look at United who conceded a late equaliser at home to bottom club Fulham. I’m a spurs fan but to me this is a no brainer tbh. Arsenal at 11/10!

  3. honda 10 years ago

Okay so I know everyone will say we will win, and we really should against this very average Man U side. The thing that concerns me is the labored way we have been playing lately, that on top of Van Persie always scoring against us and the seeming curse we have against them, I’m not as confident as everyone else, Man U should definitely up their game against us, they just love to beat us. I so hope I’m wrong (obviously). Love the price on Spurs though.

Mr f,this is not meant to be cheeky or offensive, but this site was meant to be a football site when you started it.Its far too racing orientated now,can you not do a racing website for all the so called racing experts who seem to have nothing to do all day bar post there tips all day, again I’m only making a point.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Good point Stefano and I totally agree. By the way Keith Dalgleish has an excellent chance in the last at Musselburgh tomorrow with Hurricane Hollow. Get on it big time!!

    • cooldude 10 years ago

Is fighting banned in international hockey raal?

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

      Dudes, no.

    • Stefano marsh 10 years ago

Is this your full time job?

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Stefano, no. My full time job is an executive position with a major conglomerate Raaljaca Industries. We specialise in providing annoying racing information on predominantly football based threads.

    • jamie 10 years ago

      Lol.
      Jamie.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Stefano, threads are separate so why are you reading the racing section if you don’t like it. It started as a football site but there’s room for racing and we’ve always tried to cover it.

    • Stagger 10 years ago

Stefan, all you need to do is bypass the horse racing threads and go straight to the football ones. Which is why I’m on this thread because football is my preference. I have been looking at the Sack Race market and there may be some value to be had in it. It’s been a crazy season for Premier managers getting the boot and there’s no reason why the axe shouldn’t fall again soon. I note that Rene Meulensteen is a general 6/4 to be next to go and when you consider the hard work that Fulham did to make the top flight, the thought of returning to the Championship must be terrifying to the board. However, I think they’ll stick with Rene. More value lies with Chris Hughton at 4s, a big price possibly because he is known as a good guy, Norwich are in trouble, look at their last four fixtures! Monk is 4s, Lambert 10s and even Moyes is worth a silly sov or two at 18s. But Hughton, following Tuesday’s night’s Hammering, seems a candidate at 4s. (Alladyce by the way, according to sackrace.com, is a comparative outsider)

    The 3 rules to guarantee winning from backing football games;

    1. Back Mr F’s Super Single at a rate of 5 times your normal stakes.

    2. Back every single tip Greg Browning puts up for the overs markets in any game.

    3. Back the anytime goalscorers in all foreign and domestic matches tipped by The Chief.

Follow these 3 rules and these guys and you will make money without a shadow of a doubt.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

      My heartfelt apologies for missing Rule number 4;

      4. Back any first goalscorer tipped by Chris Guy within the first 20 minutes. This bet had his account at 365 closed due to his success.

    • przemm 10 years ago

      I would add point 5

      5) If there’s any African Football Tournament, back every single BTTS tip that Raaljaca is giving :)

Think Spurs are a brilliant price away to a Newcastle side who have been beat 3-0 two weeks running and are still missing Remy through suspension and have injury doubts over numerous key players. If Tottenham score early, the atmosphere could get very nasty as Mr F has said. Think I’ll be on them to win and on the -1 handicap, which is 3/1 at Skybet.

  8. Oor man in Napoli 10 years ago

Raal, we can let Mr F, The Chief and Greg get on with it then!! Im sure all the other good tipsters on here can have a rest at wasting all their money!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Oor man, you specialise in the Italian games and have an excellent strike rate but I am concentrating on every day betting. Mr F tips a super single virtually every day, Greg tips overs virtually every day, The Chief tips anytime goalscorers virtually every day and Chris Guy has a phenomenal strike rate at prices that require 1 or perhaps 2 to come up in every 7 or 8 tips to make good money. Plenty other tipsters but they won’t win you regular money. Out of 40 or 50 horse racing tipsters I have 5 who I follow daily but do not always back their selections unless I am comfortable with them. Football wise I follow the 4 I mentioned as they are proven at winning regularly.

    • robert miller 10 years ago

sorry raj… but as much as I have utter respect there are NO GUARANTEES… at the end of the day every one of these guys are placing faith on abilities on people who lets be honest would not know if they passed in the street…. in competitive sport anything can happen… that’s why we love it…. another name to add to the guys who spend a much respected time is THE DANE

  9. Paul O 10 years ago

Lol Honda… A spurs fan betting on arsenal and an arsenal fan betting on spurs that’s priceless m8 :-) but seriously I backed us on Sunday because I really believed we could win and we did but we were lucky… I would like to think we can get a result at Saint James park but the only thing that would stop me would be our lack of goals. Paulinho & vertongen are back and we definitely are the better for it but I can see tomorrow being a draw ( head ) but of course heart says win

    • Scott 10 years ago

Paul, if we (Sunderland) can score 3 past Newcastle then I wouldn’t worry too much about Spurs getting goals against them. Their defence is very poor without Collocini.

  10. cooldude 10 years ago

Oor man, your incredible run of 8 games has come crashing down! is it a record

  11. Endrit 10 years ago

I think the best tips for tomorrow are:
    Arsenal win
    Man City win
    Tottenham double chance
    Liverpool win
    Napoli BOTH TO SCORE

  12. Paul O 10 years ago

Being a Mackem hardly sways your opinion against Newcastle Scott ;-) it’s a tough one to call and they’re 7/5 for a reason lads.. Not trying to put anyone off just airing on the side of caution

    Raal, Chris,

I think I missed your 365 story. Victim of your own success?!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Tonyboy, Chris Guy had such a success rate in backing first goalscorers within 1-20 minutes that they shut his account. I think he tipped and landed Kris Commons regularly!

  14. Oor man in Napoli 10 years ago

I think i self perpetuated my own crash Cooldude…..but i said that already.

  17. honda 10 years ago

Haha, very true mate :) I was going to do a write up on it but decided otherwise after they all lost, I’m still saying I was unlucky with them all though ;) , they were well reasoned enough I think. I just feel Newcastle miss Collocini and especially Cabaye, is Remy out as well? Plus Spurs of late have been strongest away and after a heavy defeat in the derby and with the crowd on their back, I can see Spurs coming through. Hope your right about Arsenal :)

I love the true Heavyweights mate but not the pretend ones.

    • Lokti 10 years ago

Yes Johnson can win (his style is all wrong for Chisora), he’s one of the most elusive heavyweights in the world, all shoulder rolls and slips and slides and isn’t a concussive puncher. I reckon Chisora will win on a debatable points decision. Frank Warren isn’t going to let anyone get in the way of a Fury vs Chisora clash this summer so we could see some dodgy judging.

    • cooldude 10 years ago

right so my money is on Johnson. cheers

  19. Tonyboy 10 years ago

For me Weds is all about Spurs beating Newcastle.

Newcastle have injury concerns over seven players: Fabricio Coloccini, Mathieu Debuchy, Cheick Tiote, Gabriel Obertan, Gael Bigirimana, Yoan Gouffran and Papiss Cisse.

Leading goalscorer Loic Remy completes his three-match ban.

Spurs were poor last time out, as were Newcastle but I think Spurs will edge it here.

Take the win or Spurs to score >1.5 goals at around 2.2/2.3

  20. honda 10 years ago

What did I do to deserve this?

    • honda 10 years ago

That moderation thing can get really annoying :) I basically said with Collocini out, no Cabaye, no Remy? And Spurs bieng generally best away, after getting beat in the Derby and the crowd on Newcastle’s back, Spurs should pull through

  21. honda 10 years ago

    is aguero not injured still?

  26. Paul O 10 years ago

Aguero is out for another 5 weeks JJ afaik

  27. Andrew 10 years ago

Right, im going to have another go at this one. Yes I like the Arsenal, but not sure if that’s a good thing haha!

I think Monaco will be tired but buoyed after sunday, and I think with an extra days rest Stoke will fancy all 3 points. Write up tomorrow but do think Assaidi is overdue a goal!

    Andrew

  28. Sparky 10 years ago

After watching spurs on Sunday I couldn’t back them with counterfeit. Everton played them off the park. I know its a results business and spurs are better away from home but they’ve been getting away with murder for me you only need to look to their goal difference to see that. Yes newcastle area struggling and cabaye going and remy suspended are hard to deal with but at home they give most sides all they want sunderland apart of of course.

Best bet for me tomorrow night is easily Stoke at a massive 17/10. In great form and swansea is a good match up for them. Swans had good win sat but that was a derby vs a poor Cardiff and I personally still don’t think everything is well behind the scenes at the liberty with the 2 groups the foreigners and uk players.

    • Andrew 10 years ago

      Agreed Sparky,

Really fancy Stoke actually. Reality is Cardiff were very poor against Swansea, rather than the Swans being impressive. Ive watched pretty much every one of their league games this year and I think in central midfield it will be a total mismatch. They lack steel, and Stoke can control things. Plus Swansea are very weak on the left, well overpriced are Stoke.

    • Sparky 10 years ago

Andrew I think stoke should be closer to evens than 2/1 and if the weather forecast is correct it only makes the a better bet for me!

U must be worried about your team? Solskjaer hasn’t exactly hit the ground running! :(

    • Andrew 10 years ago

To be honest mate….its an absolute nightmare lol.

Forgetting about the way it was handled, Mackay had us well drilled and organised, the sort of stuff you need to stay up. Solskjaer is difficult to dislike, but I have to be truthful mate, I think wed be better off in the long run maybe waiting for out chairman to get tired of his toy and selling up. I try not to bet on us, either way because I let my heart rule my head but ive been to a few home games this season and the performances are lacking in character since the turn of the year! Just glad both of our fans behaved in the derby, nothing worse than when we behave like clowns after the game

    • Andrew 10 years ago

      Sorry mate, awaiting moderation again.

Agreed about the weather though. Stoke still know how to play ugly from Pulis’ days, not sure Swansea do, not enough bite…and that’s un unbiaised opinion :)

    • Sparky 10 years ago

Yeh sad movies m8. Sooner the owner gets bored and you get back to playing in blue the better!

    • Andrew 10 years ago

Awaiting moderation again mate, didn’t want to sound rude though so just seconding, cheers for the sentiment. Bluebirds in red is just a massive joke!

  29. Sparky 10 years ago

Raalj. Good win for the cabbage tonight in the kiddies derby. Decent crowd out at livi for the snowball fight! :)

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Sparky, was surprised to see the Jambo’s leading but think a few got bit tired late on after having P.E. this afternoon at school ;)

    • Sparky 10 years ago

Raalj ur not wrong. 1st half u were better than us and deservedly went in 1 up but 2nd half we were all over u even before u had man sent off. Conditions were tricky to say the least pitch horrendous added to Lapland like snow for a bit!

Worst thing was our lad from arsenal made his debut! Looked more like justin fashanu than sol Campbell!

  30. Oor man in Napoli 10 years ago

I know Raal. I think there are lots of great tipsters here and I dont think any should be excluded. I think many aim at a craft, and many put in the effort. I dont like elitism. It breeds something dangerous in my view and only adds trolls. But if someone was so lazy to not want to think about anything and go for safety then Mr F, obviously, and Chief and Gregs are great. Cant argue at all.
But equally, i dont want those guys to be put under pressure like Alex has lately.
Im just saying there are lots of great tips on here, and to forget one is to forget all imo.
    If that makes sense.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

      Oor man, it does indeed.

  32. Chris Guy 10 years ago

Giving it a bash to win £1 million just for the sheer fun of trying. Out with the £2 lotto tickets and in with the big priced goalscorers lol.

    Skrtel First Goal 46mins + @ 100/1
    Vidic First Goal 46mins + @ 100/1
    Pique First Goal 46mins + @ 100/1

Recommended for very small stakes I.e. £1 patent unless you want to be mad and go for the jackpot like me. Craig Alves I know you love these kind of bets with the big payouts.

    I’m going for the following:

    3 x £5 Singles
    3 x £2.50 Doubles
    1 x £1 Treble (pays £1,030,300)

If the above win you’ll all know I’m a millionaire lol.

Chris, is that for goalscorers to score 1st goal on 46 mins or over ???

  39. maxclover 10 years ago

When’s the last time saurez scored first

  40. Chris Guy 10 years ago

Ok guys starting from this weekend I’m going to show you a fast track way of getting your account closed with Bet365. As others have stated my account was closed due to my success from first goalscorers in the first 20 mins. Bet365 are the only bookie that offer this. Luckily I have friends who now place my bets for me and others on this site including Raaljaca have offered too which I much appreciate.

Anyone who wishes to track my progress can do so from tomorrow. To make things easier I suggest backing singles only at flat stakes with no progressive betting. The beauty is all you need to hit is one winner in 7,8,9 or even 10 bets to show profit. For instance at the weekend I back Tevez for Juventus. He was 3/1 for first goal and 10/1 for the first goal in 1-20 mins. He scored two within 20 mins so that was a winner. I’m not going to suggest stakes as everyone’s affordability is different. I personally place £50 or more on each selection but this could be anything of your choice, even £5 or 50p. Whatever you choose make sure you keep stakes the same throughout. You may be best sticking to smaller stakes as Bet365 no likey you winning too much. My selections will be posted every day but I will also state if no bet advised.

For the purpose of the site and followers I will start my account off with £200 and place £5 level stakes for each selection with my target to get to of £1000. The reason for only backing singles is because Some weeks I could choose many selections and although the rewards would be greater the risk is higher and it becomes expensive to cover doubles and trebles etc. If I hit a few losers then please bear with me as it requires patience and faith. As many know it could often be the one you miss that turns out to be the winner.

By the way my response from why Bet365 closed my account was because I apparently won £14k from them over a period of 90 days.

    • cooldude 10 years ago

Chris do you even need to work making this amount of money ha

    • billd 10 years ago

Chris – I’m in and will set £200 aside to test your suggestions….

    • simon 10 years ago

Thanks, I’ll follow these bets to small stakes. I wish I’d made that sort of money backing scorers, or anything at all for that matter lol.

  41. thechief 10 years ago

Max officially it was Stoke, after Shawcross scored an own goal. First “proper” was against Cardiff.

    Balance £200

    Bet 2 – £5 Negredo First Goal 1-20 mins @ 7/1

    Good luck everyone

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Chris, interesting experiment. All I’d say is so don’t guarantee profit – that’s a dangerous statement to make and I’ve taken it out.

Mr F, you have just extracted the caffeine from my tea :)

    • georgeh11 10 years ago

Chris guy whats your strike rate like with the goalscorers in 20mins?

  45. thechief 10 years ago

Just want to say thanks to Andrew and Interyernan, did reply on the other thread, but got the “yellow banner”

Although to be fair I did mention bribing Raaljaca, with regards to the naps competition, which on a betting site could be frowned upon haha :)

    • Andrew 10 years ago

No, thanks to you thechief. Had a horrible night on my personal selections, you pointed out a really surprising price which helped me almost break even haha!

Yeah the bri…be…ry bit (don’t want yellow banner) might have contributed lol (think that’s how it works anyway, certain trigger words hold up the post)

Andrew, we don’t know why the moderation preview is causing a problem – it’s a technical issue. Very few words will block comments.

    • Andrew 10 years ago

Ah ok Mr F, hopefully just a teething issue. Cant believe you have snow up there, will see for myself I hope!

  46. Azzurri06 10 years ago

    Chris Guy, Raal,

Is this type of bet – first goal scorer plus time span – only available at Bet365?
I can’t seem to find it with any other bookie.

Cheers and keep up the good work!

  47. Oor man in Napoli 10 years ago

    Napoli 7 Roma 0
    Thats my tip…

Anyway its close. Too close for me to call. Few teams, in the big matches, can get anything in San Paolo. So Roma will have to be good, as i dont think Napoli will mess around.
Last home game was Napoli 4 Roma 1. Napoli have played 5 games in 2 weeks. Roma 3. So they have a bit more bounce.
I said Roma last game and a few made a couple of bananas from it. This time….erm….I will leave it for Oor man in Roma!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Oor Man, Oor Man in Glasgow is going for the draw then if you can’t call it. Right, off to walk the dug in the snow then have a beer and another look at tomorrow’s card.

  49. thechief 10 years ago

Chris good luck with those mate, if anyone can you can :) If Vidic plays he would be most likely in my opinion, I may have a punt on him anytime, as Arsenal usually play zonal.

  50. Chris Guy 10 years ago

Bet365 are the only bookie that offer the first goal in 1-20 mins. Go to the game then click on olayer and you are looking for the section that says time cast.

    • Elliott 10 years ago

Boylesports offer ‘double bubble’ on first goalscorers…which is where they double the odds if your player scores in the first 20 minutes.

Essentially the same bet but with the added bonus/insurance of getting a return if they score first after the 20 minute mark.

  51. Andrew 10 years ago

Oh and Chris, ill be all over your tips…taking the mrs to Edinburgh for valentines day, lots to pay for lol

  52. Alasu57 10 years ago

      Alasu57, bet365 don’t have any shops.

Bills in sure you will be happy. I’ve never had a losing month to be fair. Anything can happen in betting but I’m fairly confident I can make you some decent profit. The betting requires consistency and discipline.

Lol, sorry , I meant to say in another named bookies …

  56. Chris Guy 10 years ago

Alasu57 no. You need to open an account with Bet365.

  57. Craig Alves 10 years ago

Got to be done Chris :) defo worth small stakes as one day it will come, maybe tomorrow or maybe 30 years time, it WILL come in :). Last year I was close with the player to score 2+ treble had commons and somebody else and was waiting on suarez in the sunday game but he couldn’t even get 1. Also my pals mum got a random 20p lucky 15 up at Cheltenham 50/1 40/1 18/1 and another and all came in, she was waiting on the last horse because jockeys name sounded like condom. ended up collecting almost 8K off £3 :)

  58. Alasu57 10 years ago

  59. Nathan 10 years ago

Chris, how many bets a month would you be putting on? I.e 2,3,4,5 a week etc? It just helps with what stake I’m going to decide to use that’s all

  67. Wallyboi1 10 years ago

    Fulham v Liverpool over 4.5

  68. Chris Guy 10 years ago

Hi Nathan realistically I’d say anything from 4 to 8 selections. Also remember your stake can be anything mate. I’d say if you cann afford it then go with the £5 stakes, you’d have to get 40 wrong in a row to lose the lot and that won’t happen. If you prefer you could start with £2 stakes and once you’ve built up a bigger balance you can place larger stakes

  69. Chris Guy 10 years ago

Paul any chance you can at least take the moderation preview off the site regulars and same with others as they become known to the site. A comment of mine is being previewed by the moderators and I can’t see any word I’ve used which would explain why?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Chris, I’ve probably said 100 times now that this a technical issue. We don’t know why moderation preview is appearing on certain comments. Do you really think we’d do that with guys such Greg and even raaljaca has experienced it.

Good on you Chris – May you continue to give them a good kicking. They bring out the punch bowl and then castigate you for drinking it – what did they expect?!

  74. Cammy 10 years ago

    My picks for Wednesday:

    Arsenal at 6/5
    – too good a price not to take for me, I know Man U could make it hard, but Arsenal’s home record is still incredible, one goal conceded in 11, plus David Moyes never had won a game away at Arsenal with Everton, and United have lost away this season to Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool so far this season

    Newcastle v Tottenham BTTS @ 8/11

BTTS has occured in their last 8 meetings at St. James park. Newcastle haven’t kept a clean sheet in 8 home matches. Spurs haven’t kept an away clean sheet in 7, with BTTS coming in their last 6 away league games.

    Hoffenheim v Wolfsburg Over 2.5 goals @ 3/5

Hoffenheim continued their over 2.5 streak in the league at the weekend, now they have 10/10 home games gone over. All 11 of the meetings between the sides have gone over 2.5 goals, with 8 of those over 3.5 goals which pays 11/8 and I may consider as well.

  75. Pete1 10 years ago

Well, so close. My super single ‘Luton’ came in at 1-1 but my Mega Super Single ‘Aston Villa’ had a dominate game but missed a lot of opportunities to post an upset. Ok, lets hope I get 2/2 the next day.

Mega Super Single (Upset prediction): AS Roma (12-5)

    Super Single: Tottenham (14-10)

  76. Kanen 10 years ago

Mr F ,for the second time in a row i advised against betting on yesterdays favorites (chelsea and leyton orient).

Today wont be any different with Arsenal, Everton and Tottenham being the talk of the town. I would again advise leaving those tricky games out.

    Safer bets would be:
    Liverpool win
    Hoffenheim btts
    Sheffield utd btts

Decent call mate, did see your post but thought Chelsea were good things as part of a five fold at Ladbrokes 8/11…. feel like a bit of a sucker (the other four selections came)

  77. Harry 10 years ago

After another brutal weekend results and chelsea carrying it on last night, I might back off all bets until normal service resumes. Can’t seem to pick my nose these days never mind a winner.

  78. MiniDuffman 10 years ago

Yesterday wasn’t great. Leyton Orient weren’t anywhere close and from what I hear West Ham’s keeper had a great performance (And apparently so did David Marshall for Cardiff). A new day, but I don’t fancy much. I will be putting a nap up, but I won’t have much on it:

    Sturridge to score anytime (11/10)

    Best of luck.

Raal, i personally do not fancy ur comments pointing tipsters to follow, all tipsters are good. Nobody wins every time, so show some respect to everyone that invest time to post tips… U shld rather advise people to be wise and not to follow every tip, not making a list and mentioning names, while leaving out great names like Danny, Alex, Sean, Game, D, E, K and many others… its discouraging… I have huge respect to Mr. f and every other guys here… U guys are all great..

My bank builder failed thanks to Leyton Orient again so apologies for failing at the first but on a brighter note the £10-£1000 is still going all be it slowly but successfully. A great win on the SS, I did not fancy west ham but a great call by Mr F and congrats to all who followed. Well done Sean Ireland with a tasty treble, ironic when I chose to follow it is without success and when i don’t jump on it becomes a singing success, I am the cursed one.
Bet 7 came home nicely to return £47.21 and would have gone on santos had the winnings being credited in time, shame as Santos won.

  87. Horsing Around 10 years ago

What are your opinions of a Man City win or over 1.5 goals in the game? Looking for an approx. 1/10 for my next challenge bet.

  88. Andrew 10 years ago

    Morning folks,

Horsing around, a safer option may be Sunderland no clean sheet, which should pay around those odds, I believe a similar bet on west brom last night as was mentioned was 1-8

    Hope that helps

    • Horsing Around 10 years ago

Hi Andrew, thanks for your comments.

Sunderland cleen sheet (No) is currently 1.03 so would have to wait in-play but then there could be an early goal. Over 1.5 goals is 1.12 and the win is 1.18.

My 1st bet yesterday was West Brom clean sheet (no) and that was at 1.12 – with them being the home side, etc.

    • Andrew 10 years ago

Eeeek! They don’t fancy that one then haha. Yeah the early goal is always a worrier, but the early red card is looking like a good bet against Sunderland these days lol

  89. Scott "The Cat" 10 years ago

    BTTS ACCA odds of 4.71

Premiership – Man U vs Arsenal
Spanish cup – Real Sociedad vs Barcelona
Greek Cup – Olympiakos Volos vs Panathinaikos

Not much time to research last night, but Man U and arsenal screams BTTS for me. Arsenal always score at home, the last two games they didn’t were both against Chelsea. And we all know Man U are leaking goals like a sieve. Man U also have the ability to score even if they are having a rubbish season. Arsenal have a great defensive record as of late but look at their opponents – Liverpool were the biggest team to not score against them at home recently.

Barcelona tend to concede away from home and I’m sure everyone expects them to score too. Sociedad aren’t a bad side who are doing OK for goals at home, and every H2H other than most recent gives BTTS.

The Greek cup and Volos are the league below but scoring well. They have funnily enough always won the H2H at home when these teams have met. I fully expect panathinaikos to score being in the league above but I think Volos will nick at least one.

  91. craigdon 10 years ago

A wee look at this Friendly starting in 20 minutes between Puszcza and Stal Stalowa I think I’ve spotted value. I don’t likefrielndlies so this is just a small bet for interest. Two Polish teams, the home team are the league above the away yet are available at 2.4 on betfair thats almosy 6/4! While the the home side are no great shakes the away team are also minging away from home and haven’t won away in 6. Like I said, home team league above you would expect odds on so have a wee go at the price.

  92. Toddy 10 years ago

  93. georgeh11 10 years ago

Toddy, click on the game you want to place the bet on then chose players. Then go to timecast and choose player and time

  94. Sean 10 years ago

I see a few guys thinking the price on Arsenal is too big to ignore tonight and yes i do agree United have been very poor but the reason you are getting the gooners at evens or above is Arsenal have won just one of their last 13 games against Man Utd,Six of the last seven PL meetings at The Emirates has seen both teams score and United have only failed to score in one of their last 18 PL away games,i just cant see Arsenal winning this one as they do struggle against the so called better teams, this season shows they have failed to beat Chelsea drawing 0-0 at home prem lg and losing 0-2 home capital one cup, losing 6-3 against man city this season and drawing and losing to them last season, drawing 1-1 home to Everton this season and drawing the 2 meetings last season and not forgetting thier last game a 5-1 demolition against Liverpool.I do believe Man Utd are playing them at the right time with Rooney and Van persie back and a game they simply cant afford to lose.If pushed id back the draw at around 5/2 But ill be taking the ‘SAFE’ BTTS @ 4/7.
Be careful backing anything ive noticed someone suggesting that you are on to a loser listening to stats posted by myself and others in here.GOOD LUCK.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Sean, any recent head-to-head stats on Man Utd are irrevelant as loads of teams have proved. This is Man Utd under Moyes as opposed to Man Utd under Ferguson – and at the moment you can’t compare the two.

    • Sean 10 years ago

Mr F my reasoning is based on RECENT Stats as ive stated united have scored in all but one of thier last 18 aways and what ive said about Arsenal struggling against the better teams is true this season as in the recent past seasons :)

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Sean, I’m just saying thet regarding Man Utd only losing one in 13 to Arsenal is rendered irrelevant under Moyes. Look at West Brom and Spurs winning at Old Trafford – never happened under Ferguson.

    • Sean 10 years ago

BTTS is the pick as ive stated but i do fancy united to come away with a point Mr F.

    • Hopper 10 years ago

Sean, Followed you on the 12-1 treble last night, cheers

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Sean, I think there will be goals, with both scoring likely.

  95. dhami 10 years ago

Thumbs up Mr F. I added real madrid to the ss.

  96. Andrew 10 years ago

Right then, lets have a pop at tonight

    STOKE CITY v Swansea City

The hosts have picked up since I last tipped them against Sunderland, losing only once at home in their last 9 games (and that was against Liverpool). They’ve only lost twice here all season though in the league, the other being to Norwich back in September. They haven’t kept a clean sheet in the last 9 games, relying instead on outscoring their opponents, which is a good indicator up against a leaky Swansea defence. As Sparky mentioned last night, the weather is going to play a factor here which favours Stoke more than it does Swansea. Stoke may have Assaidi missing, and are still without Arnautovic and Robert Huth.

Swansea on the other hand have been poor away from home all season. Garry Monk may tighten things up defensively but don’t forget this was a squad assembled to play a continental brand of football, and a lot of Laudrup’s problems this season came from defensive frailties, or a perceived lack of ‘british’ style defending. They’ve only won 3 times on the road, and the worrying part is they’ve only scored 7 goals, with Bony scoring none of them. Shelvey will miss out, which I feel is a big loss for them in the attacking sense, and with Michu only just coming back it is difficult to see where the goals will come from. They haven’t kept a clean sheet away from home since September, and have only managed this feat twice in the league.

The reverse fixture was the controversial 3-3 draw in which Stoke got an injury time penalty. If Assaidi is out, ill be on Charlie Adam to score since he has bagged 3 in 4 at the Britannia, including against Manchester Utd in the last home game. All things being equal, I think Stoke will win this, but are always vulnerable to giving away a goal.

    Stoke to Win 15-8
Charlie Adam to score anytime 7-2

    Other picks I like:

Crystal Palace DNB 5-1 (Bonkers Bet)
    Monaco Win 3-4
    Twente Win 8-13

    all prices at Bet365
    Good Luck Everyone

  98. Damo 10 years ago

Cheers chrisguy, I will be following. Had some success with it myself after you highlighted the market but not tried to bet it with any consistency.

    Challenge 10-500

    Dunfermline U20 v Dundee Utd U20
    Over 2.5 goals *WIN*
    33.53 to return 48.43

    Santos over 1.5 goals *WIN*
    48.43 returned 67.80

5 bets to go and with a good card this evening I will be hoping to complete it today.

    BTTS Treble

I’ve put together another treble again with the percentage of games home/away that seen btts and added the number of last 5 h2h that have seen btts. Barca stats don’t look promising but Sociedad have an incredible record against Barca at their place where Barca haven’t won since 2007.

    REAL SOCIEDAD (36%) V BARCELONA (42%) 5/5
    HOFFENHEIM (90%) V WOLFSBURG (60%) 5/5
    GRONINGEN (70%) V TWENTE (64%) 3/5
    FULHAM (75%) V LIVERPOOL (75%) 1/5 (at craven cottage 3/5)

    6.7/

This is really going off the beaten track but Greg have you had a look at the Hong Kong reserve league for goals?

brentford at 27/20 looks good for the win, whats your thoughts mr f on this match?

  101. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Morning gents, Tuesdays are really busy days with matches, today is a lot quieter!

There’s a match about to about to kick off

    TSW v Kitchee ( reserves)

I highlight it as there always seems to be goals in Kitchee matches ( usually conceded) it’s a speculative post but in going on over 1.5 fhg 5/6 over 3.5 match goals 4/5 for small stakes!

    • Damo 10 years ago

ha I just actually posted asking if you had looked at the Hong Kong reserve league for goals. Looks like the bookies are a bit more on the money with the overs/under. Other game opened with over 2.5 fhg and 5.5 ftg. Bit steep!

  102. Andrew 10 years ago

    Morning Greg,

Cheers for yesterday, 9-0 was lovely stuff. Noticed this is a funny division, small stakes it is! This Yeun Long game seems to have potential too but just watching that one!

    SUPER SINGLE

STOKE to beat swansea @ 6/4

Stoke although sitting 1 point behind the swans in the lg are a hard team to beat at home having lost just twice this season at the Britannia,Man city, chelsea, everton and man utd have failed to win thier this season and the 2/2 draw at Southampton and 2-1 victory home to Man united shows they are in decent form.
Swansea have won 2 of thier last 3 prem lg games but these were at home to cardiff and fulham 2 teams hardly in form, away from home Swansea havent won in thier last 7 losing 5 of those games.Ill be backing a narrow home win in this game.
    Stoke to win @ 6/4

  105. Madi 10 years ago

Van persie has scored in each of the last 5 meetings between these 2, 2 times for arsenal and 3 for Man U, just read that stat. 7/5 anytime has to be the bet of the day right?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Madi, I know the RVP stats but although he’s scored in his 3 comeback games he doesn’t look as good as he was. He might well score but for me it’s not the bet of the day.

  108. Alex 10 years ago

Morning all! You don’t want to be known as the nearly man in terms of betting, but I feel like that tag might sit well on me at the moment! Carlisle and Kaizer Chiefs were both one goal away from landing it. But no excuses, they were losing tips but I don’t care about people slating my tips, I’m a big boy I can handle it! :P Anyway, I’m not going to stop putting up my thoughts and nobody has to follow them, I’m just trying to help people select their bets for the evening.

    NAP: GRONINGEN V TWENTE 7:45pm

My bet of the day comes from Holland where Twente take on Groningen. Twente have scored at least 2 goals in 10 of their last 12 Eredevise games including each of their last 4. Away from home, they’ve scored 2 or more in 6 of their last 9, including 4 of their last 5. They come up against a Groningen side who’ve conceded 2 or more in 8 of their last 12 league matches including 4 of their last 5 and their last 3. At home, they’ve conceded 2 or more in 4 of their last 5 home matches including each of their last 3. The H2H shows that Twente won the reverse fixture this season 5-0 and they’ve scored 2 or more in 7 of the previous 9 meetings between the two sides. I see very little reason to not think that Twente will score 2 or more tonight and I’m making it my NAP at 4/6.

    NB: NEWCASTLE V TOTTENHAM 7:45pm

Spurs are looking good under 4-4-TIM and come to Tyneside after an excellent win over Everton at the weekend. The Toon on the other hand are in disarray and come into this one off the back of two 3-0 defeats. They’ve conceded 6 in their previous 3 home matches and their previously tight defence at home has wobbled. Spurs have scored 2 or more in 5 of their last 6 away matches and only failed to do so against the Premier League’s fifth tightest home defence in Hull City. Newcastle won at The Lane earlier in the season and Spurs will be keen to avenge the result that day which was earned in no small part to the heroics of Tim Krul. Spurs tend to score well against Newcastle although they’ve only scored 2 or more in 1 of their last 4 visits to St James Park. Still, with Newcastle drifting to mid table security and Spurs seeing this as a must win, I’m backing Spurs to score 2 or more at 11/10.

    TIPS:
NAP: Twente over 1.5 team goals – 4/6
NB: Tottenham over 1.5 team goals – 11/10

That’s my selections for a quiet Tuesday outside the PL. Best of luck to all!

  109. Alasu57 10 years ago

Arsenal top top? Yes man u have been dreadful but arsenal have been just as bad, if mata Rooney and van persie pay man u won’t lose, ps told you about Leyton orient yesterday :-)

  111. Cuttothejase 10 years ago

Started my own challenge yesterday, and today bet number 2 I’m also going for sturridge anytime scorer. Didn’t get the best odds with william hill and I know bet365 are offering better if anyones interested.

    Bet 1 – west ham £10 returned £20
    Bet 2 – sturridge anytime scorer £20 returns £38.

I’m also going to carry on doing correct scores in lucky 15/31 bets in the hope of winning a nice amount one day!

  112. lee cunliffe 10 years ago

@ Chris Guy, at first i looked at your bets and thought its difficult enough to predict a first scorer let alone a time to score, then I looked little deeper and certain teams have strong trends towards scoring early. For example M city & Liverpool have scored 10 goals in first 15 mins this season where as the likes of Tottenham & Fulham havent scored any in first 15 mins. Count me in on your experiment :)

  113. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Nice one Alex, had the exact same NAP on Twente last week ( they won 0-2 )

    Good luck :)

  114. Damo 10 years ago

There’s a game kicking off in the Hong Kong reserve league at 12.30

YOKOHAMA HONG KONG RES. VS. TUEN MUN SA RES.

Home side have a goal difference of 43 after 12 games away side -21. Might be worth a look at the overs market when it comes in play.

Alex, definitely keep putting up your thoughts and stuff on games. I may not always back a tip but you still get a lot of important information from people when they do put their thoughts up for when considering your own bets!

  115. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Andrew, no worries mate! Keep an eye out for Gkobal / Loyola / Socceroo and Army matches!

Yeah seen some funny results! Worth a shot :)

  116. Andrew 10 years ago

    Agreed Damo,

Alex consider it a compliment that people notice, find your tips invaluable in putting me on to games I normally wouldn’t consider. Cant thank you enough actually!

  117. Tony 10 years ago

Heavy long shot for the night
    Man utd 2/1
    Spurs 13/10
    Stoke 11/8
    Brentford 6/5
    Napoli 6/5
    Hoffenhiem 13/10
Barca 2/5. 2.50 for 638 an a will we watching the second half of barca game for my big windfall coming in (lol) ps try not to pull a muscle from laughing to much

  118. Andrew 10 years ago

Yeah you’ve worked out who the likely suspects are it seems now. By the way, continuing my research into the Icelandic matches, as soon as I can pronounce the names ill post some tips haha!

  119. Alasu57 10 years ago

Yes I know what I was told Mr F, but Ladbrokes gave me those prices for the market 1-20 mins…

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Alasu, that’s my point. They basically created those prices because they don’t do the market.

  120. craigdon 10 years ago

2-0 to the home team in the Polish game I tipped up. Cashed out for most of my profit and moving on to the next one, same deal Home side from league above and away team loom rank. Bonus that the home side here are better, however odds reflect that. Back Olimpia v Radomiak at 1.6 on betfair.

  121. Craig Alves 10 years ago

WOW Alex Did you sleep or something?? bit late this morning :)

  122. Tony 10 years ago

Man utd will be to good for arsenal on the nite bad form or not this is when they will start playing.
Spurs should shade it going by form.
Stoke should shade it britania hard to win at usually.
Brentford top of league an should win by 1.
Napoli at home an final at stake 1 nil or 2-1
Hoffenhiem close game a think home advantage reason for them.
Barca final at stake to much quality, heard that they havent beaten sociedad for about 5 years away from home?

  123. Madi 10 years ago

Fair enough mr f. I’ve taken it as I think it’s a great price for him as anytime scorer. I’ve also read that Rooney has scored his most goals then against any other opponent (10) and he got his 1st and 100th pl goal vs arsenal! Juan mata has scored in all 4 of his last starts vs arsenal. Lol. I’m sticking with rvp to come good again. Hope it ends a draw, 2-2 would suit me perfectly!

  124. Jw 10 years ago

Hope your right Alex need twenty to win for a good double done them to win.
GRONINGEN are poor at the minute so hopefuly them form table is correct and twenty take all 3 points
Not sure if to cover the double thou … I won’t be winning a huge amount if bet wins but could get my stake back and a little profit if I cover .

    STAKING PLAN.

The following tip are one of 30 matches I’ll be posting as an example on how to manage your bankroll (staking plan).

The stake in percentages are from a fixed bankroll. All 30 bets will be bought and sold at Betfair.

My advice are not to bet the first 30 matches but just to see what I’m doing and then maybe join on the next run. I expect between one and five bets every day.

    Bayer Leverkusen – Kaiserslautern
    BUY Bayer Leverkusen
    Odds 1,52
Stake: 4.95% (of my total bankroll for this series)

    The Dane.

pitch inspection at 1pm at Sheff Utd V Brentford, if it goes ahead I am liking Brentford to win BTS @ 4/1

Sheff utd scored 9 in their last 5 at home
Brentford scored 9 in last 5 away

Brentford top of league unbeaten in 8 facing a mini revival of late from Sheff United but should have to class

Tip Brentford win & BTS 4/1

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

lee, I was thinking draw but I’ll leave it out for now.

  132. honda 10 years ago

Good luck everyone today! Something I’ve found hard to get hold of as late :)

  133. Jamesb 10 years ago

The 2 I’m most looking at tonight is Leverkusen and Barca .

Of course I’l wait to see line ups and if keissling starts I’l be on leverkusen. At home they are a force.

Barca won’t take this game lightly. They will want to keep momentum going, and that includes messi who is trying to get his worlds best player tag back from ronaldo.

  134. lee cunliffe 10 years ago

Mr F draw is a fair shout esp after what backing away teams have done to the Super Single of late, I cant help but thinking Newcastle are looking like a broken team at minute since they sold Cabaye, 2 3-0 batterings back to back and with Spurs needing to win to continue their push for top 4 I can see a narrow away win and so am taking Spurs at 5/4 (for my sins)

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

lee, you’ll have noticed I’ve gone for a home for the single. Will do a single on Spurs though.

    • simple simon 10 years ago

Mr F great super single again today as yesterday – HOME’s

but two aways on treble almost guarantees failure,

      Super Single
      Arsenal

      Daily Double
      Everton &
      Stoke

  135. Godazi 10 years ago

My SS today is Man United, the reason being whenever these two meet form goes out of the window, they always open a new chapter when they play. Having said that if United bully the midfield Arsenal do not have a prayer .
Ozil is too much of a light weight and if united play Fellani or Kagawa I predict a United win.

    Man United to win

    • Blink 10 years ago

Yes Godazi, could be but how many times has David Moyes won an away match against one of the ‘big four?’

      Exactly zero times

Maybe he will break his duck but I wouldn’t bet on it

  136. Chris Guy 10 years ago

With my 1-20 mum goalscorers I hope to hit an average I at least one win for every four selections.

Someone also commented that Boylesports are pretty much offering the same bet but it’s not, in fact it’s far from it. Boylesports paying out double the odds if your player scores first in 20 mins. This only applies to epl games and maximum stake is £42 (50 euro). Bet365 applies to all games I.e. I got Tevez from 3/1 to 10/1. If you get the same price though I.e 3/1 with Boylesports and 6/1 with Bet365 then you are right if would make more sense to bet with Boylesports as you’ll still be paid out for first goal at the standard odds after the 20 mins whereas you wont with Bet365. Bet365 also tend to give you better odds though and you can back European games too.

    • przemm 10 years ago

Chris Guy, I have a plan to start a project called BookiesCanLose and apart from picking “standard” football markets, I would create a separate section called First goalscorer and follow your tips to prove that it is possible to win with bookies.

Would that be OK with you?

  137. lee cunliffe 10 years ago

its been quiet morning at work so i have spent time analysing stats and compiled a list of the average number of corners each team have gained and conceded per match this year, also the average number of cards picked up by every team and the average number of cards dished out by every individual referee this season to see if any stats stand out when certain refs are officiating certain teams. May help on the cards v corner markets, obv each game is different but for example Lee Probert gives on average 2.7 cards less per game than say Phil Dowd, Cardiff average 1.15 cards per game Palace /fulham/liverpool 1.3 cards per game so if Probert is apointed ref can back under 4 cards in game, ill have look at match ups tonight see if any correlations can be seen

  138. honda 10 years ago

    Stoke are 15/8 with bet365

  139. Caleb 10 years ago

Would this treble be worth putting £40 on: Twente to win, Leverkusen to win and Liverpool to win.

  140. Sean 10 years ago

Another game that interests me is Fulham v Liverpool,on first impressions you look straight at the away win but at 4/11 this offers very little value.
Im more interested in the goals market in this 1,Liverpool sit 2nd in the goals market in the lg this season having seen an incredible 93 goals whilst fulham sit 3rd with 79 goals in thier games this season, recent games between the two also suggests goals last 3 showing 4-0,1-3,4-0 victories for the scousers. Take the 6/5 on offer for over match 3.5 goals.

The curling broom, or brush, is used to sweep the ice surface in the path of the stone, (see sweeping), and is also often used as a balancing aid during delivery of the stone.
Prior to the 1950s, most curling brooms were made of corn strands and were similar to household brooms of the day. In 1958, Fern Marchessault of Montreal inverted the corn straw in the centre of the broom. This style of corn broom was referred to as the Blackjack.[21]
Artificial brooms made from man-made fabrics, rather than corn, such as the Rink Rat, also became common later during this time period. Prior to the late sixties, Scottish curling brushes were used primarily by some of the Scots, as well as by recreational and elderly curlers as a substitute for corn brooms, since the technique was easier to learn. In the late sixties, competitive curlers from Calgary, such as John Mayer, Bruce Stewart, and, later, the world junior championship teams skipped by Paul Gowsell, proved that the curling brush could be just as (or more) effective without all the blisters common to corn broom use.[21] During that time period, there was much debate in competitive curling circles as to which sweeping device was more effective: brush or broom. Eventually, the brush won out with the majority of curlers making the switch to the less costly and more efficient brush. Today, brushes have replaced traditional corn brooms at every level of curling; it is rare now to see a curler using a corn broom on a regular basis. Curling brushes may have fabric, hog hair, or horsehair heads. Modern curling brush handles are usually hollow tubes made of fiberglass or carbon fiber instead of a solid length of wooden dowel. These hollow tube handles are lighter and stronger than wooden handles, allowing faster sweeping and also enabling more downward force to be applied to the broom head with reduced shaft flex.

  150. lee cunliffe 10 years ago

ok am going to try a little bet based on the stats complied on corners/cards/referee performance. This treble pays £400 off a £1 trixie so am not expecting miracles but here goes

Everton win, under 4 card, 10-12 corners 11/2

Man City win, under 4 cards, 10-12 corners 18/5

    Liverpool win, 4-6 cards, 10-12 corners 8/1

  151. Cuttothejase 10 years ago

Correct scores predictions tonight, low stakes lucky 31.

    MAN CITY 3-0 SUNDERLAND
    LIVERPOOL 4-0 FULHAM
    ARSENAL 2-1 MAN UTD
    SWANSEA 2-1 STOKE
    EVERTON 1-1 CRYSTAL PALACE

I don’t feel like everton or tottenham will win tonight, with newcastle going through a bad patch I could still see them winning vs tottenham.

  156. Cuttothejase 10 years ago

Not many people will agree with my bets today but here they are:
    Single – Sturridge anytime scorer (best odds i’ve seen bet365 – 11/10)

    Treble:
    Arsenal win 5/4
    Man city -1 8/15
    Liverpool -2 11/5 – Treble gives 10/1

    5 fold:
    Arsenal
    Man city -1
    Liverpool -2
    Swansea
    Everton draw

Odds – just over 200/1 because it’s very unlikely, small stakes. Going to pick out some clean sheets later because they seem to be happening a lot recently.

As said before I’m mostly dodging the premiership games due to the weather, I’m in my office listening to the wind howling and rain pouring! Lots of other leagues are cup games which I’m not overly keen on so a small card for me today.

After some lunchtime research I found some extra teams for my BTTS ACCA posted earlier but it’s a bit late now. I did find the following though:

SCORE OF THE DAY pays at 5.0
    Argentina B Metro
Los Andes 1- 0 Defensors de Belgrano

The home team have scored just 1 goal per game in 4 of their last 6 home games. The other two they drew 0-0 and lost 1-0. They’ve kept clean sheets in 3 of 6.

The away team have scored 1 goal all together in their last 6 away games. In 4 of those 6 there’s been no goals against, the other two they lost 2-0.

Last two H2H have been 0-0 but I think Los Andes can scrape it.

    BETS OF INTEREST
Man City race to 9 corners pays 2.0

This has struck in 4 of 6 of their H2H. The other two were a cup game and an away game for City.

Man City have smashed the corners hitting at least 9 in their last 3 home games including against Chelsea recently. The 3 before that they scored 7,8 and 5 corners.

Sunderland love to soak up the pressure conceding a minimum of 6 corners in their last 4 away even against lesser teams. Two of those four games they conceded over 9 goals against Fulham and Everton.

I’m not sure if the weather will help or hinder but with man city on the attack this should come in at a decent price.

    TASTY TREBLE pays at 3.5
Groningen vs Twente – Twente to win
Leverkusen vs Kaiserslautern – Leverkusen to win
Galatasaray vs Antalyaspor – Galatasaray to win

    Good luck all.

  166. Mr Fixit 10 years ago

freeman, if you weren’t simply trolling you’d realise last night’s Super Single won. Anyway, each pick is not linked to another so it’s possible to go a long stretch without a win if you’re picking over evens. Luckily it doesn’t happen to me very often.

  172. The Turk 10 years ago

After losing heavy in the Turkish Cup previously,(Fenerbahce losing to Fethiyespor) I was certain of not having a bet in the cup again.
However todays game Eskisehirspor V Sivasspor has tempted me as Sivasspor has nothing to play for and a must win game for Eskisehir. It is simple if they win they are through to semi-finals.
@ 4/9 I think Eskisehirspor are still value to beat second string Sivas side as they will be resting players. I have flagged it up last time Sivas played in the cup that they were to rest players as a result they lost 1-2 at home to Bursaspor.
    Other bets to consider
    H/T F/T Eskisehir @ 11/10
    Eskisehir O 1.5 Team goals 4/6
    Eskisehir O 2.5 team golas 2/1

I really like the SS by Mr F today and have a feeling we are on the way for a good run for a while, fancy him to go on and break his own record.

    Good luck all.

Will you be on Arsenal and Spurs in some way tonight as well Mr F?

Decided to do a trixie of those two and Stoke with a free bet, the treble pays 13.55/1!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Cammy, I might do a Arsenal, Spurs and Stoke Trixie. I like them all but I imagine one will let me down.

    • Cammy 10 years ago

Yeah same I reckon one might let me down, but all have a good chance.

Be careful of taking Chris Guy’s bets, try 50p stakes instead of £5 or £50. I bet his 1st and 2nd bets dont come in today, then he will panic and post bigger long shots to get your money back and they wont come in either.

    • honda 10 years ago

      I think you didn’t read his post….

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Honda, I’ve edited Steven’s comment because it was way over the top.

Steven, leave out the capitals please, you come across as an awful dick. if people want to in 5s or 50s they will, so dont come here and shout that racket towards us.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Steven, give it a rest. Everyone knows the risks with Chris’s bets – a 100-1 shot speaks for itself. And no winner is guaranteed – not a 4-5 shot and not a 45-1 shot. I won’t be doing any of the best suggested but anyone if anyone fancies giving them a go it’s up to them.

  199. thechief 10 years ago

Afternoon guys, I will post my premier league thoughts up shortly, but have looked at the two big games in Europe as they involved two players I like to back.

In La Liga, Barcelona take a two nil lead with them when they face Sociedad, an early home goal will set up a great contest. Sociedad have only lost one domestic home encounter in the last 15 months. In the last 3 home meetings between these Real have won two and they drew the other game 2-2

In the 14 home games they have played in the league and cup no team as won there by more than one goal. I am going to take Sociedad +2 at 8/11 at Sportingbet. A fixture that produces goals I will be on Antoine Griezmann, It worth flagging up again that only Ronaldo and Costa have scored more goals than him. He is 9/2 at Paddy Power.

In the Coppa Italia Roma take a 3-2 lead to Napoli, and the home side have failed to score only once in 15 games at home. They have only kept one clean sheet in 7 matches so both teams to score 8/13 Ladbrokes looks the way to go. Higuain continued his scoring form on Saturday for me and I don’t see any reason why I shouldn’t be on him again tonight. He is 6/5 William Hill

    REAL SOCIEDAD +2 8/11
    GRIEZMANN TO SCORE 9/2
NAPOLI V ROMA BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE 8/13
    HIGUAIN TO SCORE 6/5

Good luck if your having a bet

I don’t know why but I really think liverpool will get a 4-0 win tonight, managed to get a bit extra money in play on the tennis and I’ve put another £10 on 4-0.
It has ended 4-0 twice in the last 3 meetings, and I don’t see fulham as much of a goalscoring threat without berbatov. As a liverpool fan a win of any kind will make me happy, but I hope it doesn’t backfire!

  203. Godazi 10 years ago

My super single is Manchester United, they are going to dominate the midfield of which is the driving force behind Arsenal.

United to win with a nice margin, watch this space

    • cooldude 10 years ago

  204. paul s 10 years ago

quick question mr f, im positive in last nights write up you said you you couldnt back liverpool at 4/9 away. and even today it says you dont like backing them away at that price yet there in your top treble? its quite a short priced treble so going to do a decent bit on it but if your not very confident might body swerve it. cheers

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

paul s, kind of meant on a single because they are my main bets. When it comes to trebles I don’t mind the price as much although would prefer it to be higher. I wouldn’t put the treble up if I didn’t think it would win but Fulham deserve a little respect for their result at Old Trafford.

My anytime scorer tip of the day coincides with this- Odemwingie, might have a little wager on Odem and Adam to score first.

Good luck and enjoy all the football tonight!! : )

  211. thechief 10 years ago

    Arsenal v Man United

For me its a tough game to call, Arsenal were ripped apart by Liverpool, whilst Man United were resorting to lumping it aimlessly into the box against Fulham. Fulham spent most of the game defending but when they did break they looked like scoring so that should give Arsenal confidence. I am leaving outright alone and focusing on other markets.

This particular fixture usually produces goals, with 4 out the last 6 going O2.5g. Man United have only failed to score in one of their last 24 Premier League away games. O2.5g is 9/10 Betvictor. The stats about Van Persie have been mentioned a few times, and he is who I’m looking at to score he is 15/8 Betvictor.

Finally a market I don’t normally get involved in but I have read some stats about this fixture. Arsenal have had nine men sent off against United under Wenger and since Wenger took over he has had 99 players sent off, with a fiery contest expected and with Rooney and Rafeal on the other side I will have a small stakes we see a red card tonight. It is 9/4 various for a sending off.

    O2.5 MATCH GOALS 9/10
    VAN PERSIE TO SCORE 15/8
SENDING OFF IN THE MATCH 9/4

Good luck if your having a bet

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Serious request – can someone please tell me what I’m doing wrong?

  213. PeteT 10 years ago

Steven – Like with any tip – do your research. I’d always check team news before placing a goalscorer bet – especially a FGS bet.

As for do I believe Chris Guy had his account closed by Bet365 – yes! What he described in terms of bets being reduced and reduced is standard practice for most booked – Bet365 included. That said he’s sharing his OPINIONS with us and it’s up to us what we back and what we don’t. Personally I think his plan could provide a return however the strike rate will be lower given the odds on such bets are 7/1 – 10/1 and maybe even more.

  214. jamesyboyhail 10 years ago

  217. Damo 10 years ago

    Steve,

Timecast (Time of First Goal and Player to Score First)

Players must start for bets to stand, otherwise bets involving that player will be void (regardless of when the first goal is scored). If the only goals scored are own goals, then bets will void.

So basically, your long winded rant was a waste of time.

Gala have been impressive in recent weeks winning 3-0 6-0 3-0 3-0, at home they are tough to beat! It may be a cup match but as with most home matches they play, there should be at least 3 goals! It’s a decent price!

  229. Scott "The Cat" 10 years ago

    Horsing around,

I’m no tipster, and I’m not entirely sure of all the bets you’ve taken. But I would advise not to rush, to thoroughly research and only take it if you are confident. Any doubts – any at all – don’t bet. It’s your money after all. My bank balance is doing a lot better after thorough thorough research. Of course don’t talk yourself out of bets as they may be the ones that come home as winners. But be as sure as you can, combine the stats and gut feelings to see what the result could be.

If that fails, id say keep an eye on the regular contributors on this site. Most keep their own tallys of success. Figure who you like/who is reliable and stick to their bets. They may not win every time but I would bet that most of them, particularly the regulars, end the month in profit.

When I first started gambling I picked massive 1000/1 accas and stuck a quid on. In play, next to kick off, whatever I could get my hands on. Didn’t even look at stats or form. Naturally none of them came in. Now I do my research and I’m not quite as prolific with wins as I would like to be but I’m certainly better informed and getting more winners than before.

Everyone has bad patches, just look at the week or so Alex has had. I started following this site in October and he was very well rated, still is in my book. Same with Mr. F. He has had a bad run and gets some grief. We all get bad runs. At the end of the day no matter the stats, the research or the players on the pitch nothing is guaranteed.

I’ve not followed his tips with any consistency to say for sure how the results will be but I see no harm in setting aside what you can afford and splitting your bankroll and giving it a try. If chrisguy says set aside £200 and bet £5 a time then set aside what you feel you can afford and split it in to 40 bets. He has definitely stuck up a few winners since I’ve been on the site anyway, think the first time I tried it he stuck up Commons fgs 0-20mins, Commons fgs and Van Dyke anytime which all came in!

I will definitely be trying it because I’ve had a few shots at it myself with Aguero, Commons and Van Persie and it has paid off. When you consider how quickly the big teams at home tend to score, especially the likes of City and Celtic then it makes sense to sometimes take the 8/1 rather than say 2 or 3.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Damo, Chris hits them regularly enough to make a profit from what I can see. It’s not a bet I like or do but he’s got every right to put it out there and let people decide for themselves.

  249. Alan 10 years ago

Just heard that Sky Bet are offering 100/1 for a goalkeeper to score tonight.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Alan, what price the Stoke keeper scores in the Everton game? Seems to be a mad night in England and could affect results for sure so take it easy guys.

  251. The UHT 10 years ago

    Haha!

Love ya, Raal. Don’t know about the dog’s doo-dahs. Yesterday, i was definitely more like the dog’s doo-doos.

On the other hand, I think this looks OK this evening. Two very strong candidates from Serie A and Serie B playing teams from much further down the Brazilian pyramid – and we’ll be on teams who last season showed they cared about these regional championships.

    Campeonato Paulista
Ponte Preta – Ituano KO 9.30pm

Ponte Preta were relegated from Serie A this season, but home they were OK when they had to be – home record was W6 D4 L9. This is against the best Brazil has to offer, remember. They also got to the final of the Copa Sudamericana (“Europa League”) losing on aggregate.

Equally, they care about this championship. Their home form in the league section of the Paulista last season was second – and this is the strongest regional contest of all of them with 20 teams. P10 W7 D2 L1 F16 A6

    Ituano in the same competition last season away were 10th. P10 W3 D1 L6 F9 A17

Ituano, for more context, have qualified for national leagues ONCE. Serie C – in 2003.

Ponte Preta are Evens to win.

    Campeonato Catarinense
    Chapecoense-SC – Atletico Ibirama KO 9.30pm

In the Serie B just finished, Chapecoense were promoted to Serie A, finishing second overall.

Their home record was P19 W11 D7 L1 F38 A15. Only 5th best, but Brazil favours a home win – and too many draws against a lot of still pretty good sides.

Their Catarinense record suggests they also care about the competition. they were best home side in the league stage P9 W7 D2 L0 F18 A7.

They were beaten finalists against Criciuma winning their home leg of the final 1-0, but losing 2-1 overall on aggregate.

Chapecoense won this tournament in 2007 and 2011, and they are back in Serie A for the first time since 1979. they’re on a high!

Tonight’s opponents have played in Serie C twice – in 2004 and 2005.

    In last season’s Catarinense, they had the 4th best away record of the 10 clubs involved. P9 W3 D1 L5 F14 A11.

Chapecoense beat them at home 1-0 in April in the tournament, though they drew in the game away in March.

    Chap are 3/5.

    The double pays at 3.2

    . . .

    Good luck tonight, everyone!

  256. Damo 10 years ago

Not a tip but going for a small speculative stake on Hoffenheim or draw at 11-1, 3-1 down but Wolfsburg down to ten men and it was an open game already.

  257. Craig Alves 10 years ago

Romero, Raggi, Elderson, Carvalho, Isimat, Toulalan, Kondogbia, Obbadi, Ocampos, Carrasco, Martial

Monaco without riviere and berba so be careful with this on.

does anyone know Oor mans pick for coppa Italia tonight

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

cooldude, he said he couldn’t call it.

  259. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Nothing really standing out for me from tonight – going to focus on cards in the Arsenal v Man U match! This is a match that historically produces plenty of cards!

One market I like is team cards and arsenal are 1/2 for over 1.5 cards! Not a great price but my only bet of the night and One feel confidant about! Goes wanting a bigger price could go for over 4.5 cards 4/6

Back over 1.5 arsenal team cards 1/2

    • Damo 10 years ago

Greg that looks like a great bet, think I will make it my next challenge bet.

  260. Richard 10 years ago

    Argentina Primera B Metro

Los Andes vs Defensores de Belgrano 8pm

This league is Greg’s worst nightmare as the highest goals per game average for any side is only 2.52 and the top scorers in the league have only 30 goals after 21 games.

The last two matches between these sides have seen precisely 0 goals scored and I doubt many of you will have seen a match where over 2.5ftg is a massive 3.60

HOWEVER, I’m gonna take this on purely on the H-2-H. The last 3 meetings of these sides with Los Andes at home have finished 1-3, 4-2 & 2-2

It’s not a certainty and the very fact that they’re offering alternative goal markets with a highest total of over 2.5,3.0 shows just how tight this league usually is but for anyone looking for a small punt at an outside bet you could do worse.

    • Damo 10 years ago

Nah Yesevil, will wait until I’ve had a proper look for something actually. Was watching the Hoffenheim game so wee bit rushed here, don’t want to waste it now!

    • Damo 10 years ago

Yesevil, I’m watching a few games at the moment trying to see if anything decent inplay crops up, I was possibly looking at Lazio clean sheet NO but I may wait until the SA games tonight.

The stake in percentages are from a fixed bankroll. All 30 bets will be bought and sold at Betfair.

My advice are not to bet the first 30 matches but just to see what I’m doing and then maybe join on the next run. I expect between one and five bets every day.

An Callejon too. Oor man in Napoli must have liked Rafas signings n surely loved them now! :) ;)

cooldude, gotta watch your tone and remember Norwich held Man City at the weekend. Right, no more fighting – looks like 1-0 Tony.

  311. Craig Alves 10 years ago

    Liverpool 6-5 down now, RT9 6/4

    ——

    My tip from last night.
WIN for both. Hope some of you got on it :)

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Tonyboy, I was on as you know but didn’t want to take an away as the Super Single.

  313. Craig Alves 10 years ago

  315. Dave 10 years ago

There ya go cool dude. Shame for u but that’s what happens when you try act clever.
If you were clever you would of backed over 2.5 goals like me.

    • cooldude 10 years ago

      beginners luck!

  316. Mark1976 10 years ago

That will be nice little treble hopefully then

  317. Scott "The Cat" 10 years ago

Richard, after putting my own thoughts on the Los Andes game earlier I tip my hat to you sir.

  318. Tonyboy 10 years ago

Paul, yep, agree that – greater risk and I rarely do always but saw the value in the way Newcastle have been playing.

Pardew sack odds will be interesting now.

  319. Scott 10 years ago

Was very confident of a Spurs win tonight and I’m now kicking myself for not taking -1 at 3/1! Still, 5/4 for the win was still a very nice price and now just hoping for a late Stoke winner like last night for the SS!

  320. Cammy 10 years ago

Dissapointed Newcastle couldn’t at least get a goal, their fans must have enjoyed that second half!

The Arsenal game was boring, same as the Chelsea game as Honda said, barely a chance in it. Man United’s unambitious tactics made little sense considering they are supposed to be chasing the teams above them.

  321. honda 10 years ago

Steve, seriously you don’t get it, just please go and ignorantly bash things somewhere else

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Honda, he’d be better putting up some tips of his own than having a go at someone else. Any intelligent gambler knows the score with Chris Guy’s scorers.

    • macattack 10 years ago

Honda why weren’t you at the match tonight.?

Cheers Scott – this could be the one and only time I ever tip overs in this league

  323. cooldude 10 years ago

  328. Bet Your Bottom Dollar 10 years ago

Never backing Monaco again. Cant even beat 10men with full half to go.

  329. Sol 10 years ago

Cant believe I actually won a bet haha, went for a Liverpool win 11/5

  330. Craig Alves 10 years ago

no really haha, only £7 back off free fiver but always nice getting late goals :)

  331. Mr JL 10 years ago

Followed Chris Guy’s first goalscorer tips but as we know Man City game postponed so with money refunded for Negredo I put it on Sturridge to score first 1-20 minutes.

This is the first time I have tried this type of bet and due to my ignorance I thought the bet was lost after Toure’s own goal opener. How surprised I was to find that my account has been credited with winnings for Sturridge scoring Liverpools equalizer.

Chris Guy, regardless what others write on here, I am going to follow your tips and although you never put up Sturridge, without your original tip I wouldn’t have bothered trying.

  332. Richard 10 years ago

Trying another even more outside bet on the late night games given my luck was in with the early match at good odds

Going for a draw trixie in the early morning games

Santos de Guapiles vs Cartagines 1am – Costa Rica Primera
Punarenas vs Perez Zeledon 2am – Costa Rica Primera
Xelaju vs Comunicaciones 2:30am – Guatemala Liga Nacional

All the home sides are unbeaten but below the away sides in the league and the away sides have all won and lost at least one game away.

All the H-2-H records show exactly one win, one draw and one defeat in the last 3 H-2-H when the home team tonight has been at home

    Treble pays 35.36

    A potential 4th option is

Herediano vs Deportivo Saprissa Costa Rica Prim 2am

Herediano break the rule by being top of the league when Saprissa are in third. However they do follow the same H-2-H rule as their last 3 at home against tonight’s opposition have resulted in one win, one draw and one defeat.

If you fancy putting this in a lucky 15 then 2 will guarantee a profit as the odds for the draws are 3.20, 3.25, 3.40 and 3.40 so even if the two shortest come up you’ll get back 16.85 (3.20 single + 3.25 single +10.40 double(3.20×3.25))

Even one would return about 40% of your stake assuming the usual bonus

  333. Tony 10 years ago

Craig + is plus mate. Good stuff need to get back to serious chances, long shots are heart break hit 3 in 3 years.

  334. Andrew 10 years ago

    Evening folks,

Posted an essay haha, not sure what happened to it but cant write it out again so in summary:

Horrible night from my personal selections. 0 out of 5, at least im consistent. Massive thanks to the usual suspects for helping me break even! A lovely 3 from 3 from raal today, cheers for that one mate!

Other thing is, 4 games I liked for goals today were Gala, Monaco, Arsenal and Leverkusen. All finished goalless. Fourfold of 0-0’s would have paid god knows how much, it just wasn’t meant to be! On to tomorrow then, and a massive thanks to all who tipped games today, I actually lost nothing, and thank god for covering, I love it!

    Andrew

  335. Scott "The Cat" 10 years ago

    Mr JL,

Sturridge scored first but not within twenty minutes?

With a day that held a few surprises none of my tips came in which is a poor effort to be honest. I didn’t listen to my own advice about cup games! I like to think the man city corners would have come in had they played

Anyway onwards to tomorrow….. On the plus side I saved a penalty at footie tonight!! That makes up for my poor tips right?? Hahaha

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Scott, I think he means he took the Sturridge part of the tip. Right, off to watch MoTD with a large cider. Will check if johnb’s tips land when it finishes.

    • Mr JL 10 years ago

      Scott “the Cat”

I accept Sturridge did not score in first 20 minutes but my account has been credited with a win. The odds were 9/1.

I like I said I haven’t done this bet before so I am not sure what happens regarding pay out after first scorer is an own goal.

Perhaps Chris Guy or other regular users of this type of bet could explain. But I’m not complaining that’s for sure

  336. Craig Alves 10 years ago

    ***WIN***

I’v put up three btts acca in the last week and after the last two missing by one goal I thought Sociedad might do the same tonight. In terms of the btts accas this week,
3 points staked, 4.7 points profit.
