THE Super Single experiment is on hold as I once again put up my own selection. Allowing readers to vote for a pick off my shortlist produced mixed results with two winners out of five – and three close calls.

Yesterday summed up the luck as five of the six singles I put on the shortlist won – Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score first, PSG -1, Braunschweig v Dortmund btts, Vitesse double chance and over 3.5 goals in the Jong Ajax game. Unfortunately the one 60 per cent plus of the site users went for – Southend – drew.

There was a mixed reaction to me allowing punters to pick the single but I thought it was a worthwhile exercise.

I've chosen Derby as today's Super Single and they are 13-10 at Ladbrokes away to Birmingham who brought in striker Federico Macheda on loan from Man Utd late last night. Derby are also on the Top Treble so for reasoning check that post.

The Top Treble features three aways – Derby, Leicester and Brentford. That pays 13-2 at Ladbrokes but an enhanced 15-2 at Betway.

All week I've been happier with away picks than homes and that's reflected in my choices. My homes start with Wigan against Charlton and the biggest price is Kilmarnock at home to Ross County with the Rugby Park men boosted by top scorer Kris Boyd's decision to stay. The homes pays 25-1 so I'd perm them.

Derby, Leicester and Brentford could have been the three aways but that would have been boring so I'm on Spurs – aiming for six away wins in the league – at Hull and Colchester at a Peterborough side who have conceded eight in their last two matches but scored eight as well.

I'm completing a big gamble on Dumbarton at Hamilton with the Sons lifted by the extension of St Johnstone striker Chris Kane's loan deal until the end of the season.

This weekend's homes and aways should be played for low stakes. The Super Single and Top Treble are my main bets but by popular demand I've put up draws and match results and btts Yankees.

I'd advise a 10p Yankee on the latter as I've taken a few surprises – but it's worth risking £1.10.

So here are Saturday's top tips, mostly taken from my Daily Record column.

      Sorry 4 repost:

Been busy trying my hand at the horses past couple of days which has ended today with my Nap Lexis hero finishing 2nd and my NB Swift blade winning.
Thats me left with 2 Nap wins from 3 picks and 2 NB wins from 3 picks ,losers in both finishing 2nd so not too bad for a novice me thinks but im giving it up and getting back to the footy tomorrow.
Today i posted my thoughts on the Feyenoord v Vitesse game in which i advised BBTS @ 1/2 which came in in a 1-1 Draw, also mentioned the Vitesse or draw market @ 20/21 which was a decent price for any that took it,only bet that didnt give a profit but returned the stake was the vitesse draw no bet market which i advised @ 2/1,so not a great day but still produced a profit.
Havent really had a good look at the football yet but standouts after a quick look are LEICESTER @ 10/11,Brentford @ 4/6 which mr f has also picked in his treble,i also like the chances for Swindon at home to Oldham, swindon are very decent at home and have won 10 from 13 scoring 31 times from 13 home games, oldham on the other hand arent great on the road having only won 3 times and losing 9,what makes me even more sure of the home win is the fact 2 of Oldhams 3 away wins were against teams in the relegation zone whilst the other victory was against a team in the bottom half of the table, this suggests they struggle when away to the better teams in lg 1.Transfer window enters its final day but Swindon have already taken a decent player from Charlton called Michael smith who has already bagged 3 goals in his 2 games, Swindon win is a very tasty 11/10.
Might do a further post after i have another look but my TEEBLE PICK is:
      LEICESTER @ 10/11
      BRENTFORD @ 4/6
      SWINDON @ 11/10
      £10 STAKE RETURNS £66.82

      Super single

      ASTON VILLA + 1 @ 6/4
Reasons include evertons injury crisis, missing key defenders and forwards, villa have been poor for best part of the season but I expect them to find the net at least once tomorrow having recently scoring 4 agaist West brom but more impressively scoring twice away to Liverpool in a 2_2 draw, finding the net in a 2-1 defeat against Arsenal and beating a resurgent sunderland 1-0 away thier only defeat in an unbeaten 11 match run all comps.
Last time Everton beat Villa at goodison in the league was 2001,last 4 visits all resulting in score draws most recent last season finishing 3 each. Back ASTON VILLA on the handicap market + 1 @ 6/4 Skybet.

    5. Alex 10 years ago

2 from 3 yesterday and it has set us up for another superb week. Trying to be selective on Saturdays is very difficult, but be sensible and don’t get greedy. Bigger cards don’t mean bigger profits.

      BAYER LEVERKUSEN V STUTTGART 2:30pm

They look very strong at home do Leverkusen and although their last home match was a shock 0-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt, they’ll need a win to stay in 2nd place. They scored 10 goals in the previous 3 home matches prior to that loss and come up against a Stuttgart side that have conceded 3 or more in 4 of their last 5 away matches. Bayer Leverkusen to score over 2.5 team goals pays 6/4.

      AUGSBURG V WERDER BREMEN 2:30pm

Bremen are a shadow of the side that they used to be and come up against an Augsburg side with a great home record this season. They’ve won 4 of their last 7 home matches with over 2.5 goals and Bremen have lost 4 of their last 7 with over 2.5 goals. No surprises for guessing which way this is going to go. Augsburg to win and over 2.5 goals pays 6/4.

PEC ZWOLLE V RODA JC 6:45pm

On the face of it, Zwolle are heavy favourites here. However, I’m not so sure why. Roda have scored 2 or more goals in each of their last 6 away matches. That is pretty incredible for a team that are struggling at the wrong end of the table. Zwolle have conceded 2 or more in 3 of their last 5 home matches, winning none of them. The best bit about this? The price for Roda JC to score over 1.5 team goals. A massive 2/1. This looks like a great value bet.

      ROTHERHAM V LEYTON ORIENT 3:00pm

Leyton Orient are in fine form both home and away but away from home, they’ve only lost once all season, scoring at least twice in 10 of their 15 away matches. Rotherham’s home matches are goalfests, especially recently where they’ve conceded 2 or more in each of their last 4 home matches, totalling 10 goals in that time. I’m backing the trend to continue for both teams here and the good news is that Orient over 1.5 team goals pays 6/4.

      TIPS:
Bayer Leverkusen over 2.5 team goals – 6/4
Augsburg win and over 2.5 match goals – 6/4
Roda JC over 1.5 team goals – 2/1
Leyton Orient over 1.5 team goals 6/4

Only 4 bets from me today despite it being a massive day of football across Europe. As I say, my criteria is so high now that a lot of games come close but I’d rather keep it smaller. I would start putting a shortlist up, but this write-up takes long enough as it is! We’ll see how it goes. Anyway, best of luck to all!

Might be right concentrating on european games Alex, fook knows what the weathers gonna be like in these isles tomorrow.

PEC Zwolle vs Roda JC (Eredvisie – 18:45)

Roda JC over 1.5 team goals – 2/1

In Roda’s last 6 away league games they have managed to score at least 2 goals, and in 3 of those games have managed to score 3! Combine that with the fact that Zwolle have conceded 2 at home 3 times in their last 5 league home games, including their 2 previous, and 2/1 looks a very generous price! I’ll also have a small go at over 2.5 team goals at 7/1 but my main bet will be on the over 1.5.

Posted 5 tips over the past week or so and got 3 winners at 1/1, 6/4 and 9/4 so it’s been a decent start. Hopefully can continue with this pick tomorrow, good luck to anyone who has a go on it!

    9. Sean Ireland 10 years ago

Mr F why are Aberdeen at around evens against St johnstone tomorrow in the lg cup? I think its a great price unless there is something ive missed.

    10. Nathan 10 years ago

Anyone any thoughts on Fiorentina against Cagliari? Okay there away but 11/8 looks a nice price!

    11. Kev_Tranmere 10 years ago

I’m sticking with a big leicester SS MrF, at 21/20 they are a team who are winning even when playing crap(Leeds last week for example) but Birmingham midweek too, and when teams are winning when having a wobble, I think 21/20 is well worthy of a safe SS and is too precious to be risking in a treble. Leicester -1 is also worth a punt at 13/5 as Pearson should of had a good word with the players after their recent close shaves.

    12. Greg Browning 10 years ago

All the best with your bets tomorrow gents, not going to have a chance to have a look at tomorrow’s card so won’t be posting anything!

Will be at the league cup semi watching my team against Aberdeen, fry up at 9am, beers by 10! :)

Posted a number of times about this match and nothing has changed, i expect Aberdeen to win! I have a considerable single on Aberdeen – as an insurance bet + they have a stronger team than us + we are missing a couple of big players ( Mannus and Davidson) – oh and did i mention we havent beaten them in our 26 previous cup encounters!

Aberdeen are a decent price still and have been good to me this season on the betting front!

I won’t let me heart rule my head – They are probably my must confidant bet of the year so far!

      Back Aberdeen 10/11

      • robert miller 10 years ago

hi Greg…. ive backed Aberdeen on the strength of your posting earlier in the week……. but the fact that they have not beaten them in 26 outings means nothing…. it,s how you perform on the day that counts…. have a good day….

      Bank Builder Day 2

      Stoke v Man United

Rooney RVP and Mata all fit and can see Man utd winning this by a few goals. They were 4/5 just over a wk ago and are now 4/7. Man utd know they need to be winning games like this and they have an easy 4 games out next 5, barring Arsenal away, to start closing the gap on the 4th CL spot. Stoke have lost their last 4 games and aren’t the same defensively since Pulis got sacked plus Man utd have the last 5 games H2H.

      Doncaster v Middlesbrough

Doncaster have been scoring goals lately and the Billy Sharp signing will be a boost for them. In their 3 home games this year they’ve scored 8 goals and conceded 3, 2 3-0 wins & 3-2 defeat. H2H doesn’t look good with 1 win 1 draw and 5 defeats. Middlesbrough are hit and miss this season but with Doncaster at home I’m taking them just to score at 2/5.

      Man United win 4/7
      Middlesbrough NO clean sheet 2/5

      £8.89 double returns £19.55

    14. Steve The Pirate 10 years ago

Garrr, I know your game Peggy (Greg). Your team’s never lost when you’ve tipped them to lose and you be trying to get your team to the final! Which is fine by me, there not be a cold blooded sailor alive that doesn’t enjoy another Dons semi final collapse.

Good to be seeing Alex’s tips doing well this week, a suggestion to bump up the value of the Leverkusen one though, go onto Coral and bet Leverkusen on a race to 3. Instead of 6/4, you’ll be receiving 2/1. If Stuttgart score three before Leverkusen, I’ll eat me right ball with fish and seawater, so barring that happening, it’s just bumping up the price you’ll get.

I had a hefty win playing the race to 2 goals on Ladbrokes earlier in the week, there be many a good candidate for this market in tomorrows games. Well worth a shot or two from the cannon, arrrr!

      • Alex 10 years ago

Steve – There’s something in that race to three. Being on bet365, I tend to only look at that. Need to widen my net!

Morning Guys, Saturdays are normally tough, but with the transfer window last night it makes it even harder for punters, as following who has gone were and which players may have had their head turned has too be taken into consideration like Leeds. There will also be games postponed due to the weather, so I’m focusing on the premier league and some anytime scorers as the Superbowl looms large!

      Everton v Aston Villa

On Villa last trip to Merseyside last weekend, I tipped Benteke to score at Liverpool at 9/2, I tipped him again in midweek at 6/4 and I will be on him again to complete the hat trick today at 3/1 at William Hill & Betfred.

Everton are starting to pick up injuries and players like Lukaku, Coleman and Distin join a long injury list, so Villa 6/1 at Hills appeals as a small stakes bet. They are however 17/10 at Coral on the double chance. Villa have just lost once on their last nine meetings at Goodison.

Aston Villa have scored at least 2 goals in their last 3 away matches against Everton in all competitions. I really like the O1.5 Villa goals 7/2 at Stan James.

Elsewhere Robin Van Persie has scored 9 goals in 8 games against Stoke and he returned with a goal against Cardiff if midweek, 23/20 Betvictor looks value to me.

      VILLA DOUBLE CHANCE 17/10
      VILLA TO SCORE O1.5g 7/2
      BENTEKE TO SCORE 3/1
      VAN PERSIE TO SCORE 23/20

Good luck if your having a bet

Steve the gay pirate, just because the mid wife laughed at you when she saw your face doesn’t mean you are a funny guy. Surely you have better things to do than clog up this forum like going for a drink with friends/family etc? Then again maybe not. It’s not our fault that you are hung like a field mouse. Spurs beaten by a strong City side midweek but think they still have the firepower to get past Hull.

With the return of RVP and Rooney, and hopefully Mata getting more comfortable at the club this week, I reckon United should see this off but another thought is Under 2.5 match goals at 10/11 with Paddy Power. 1-0 or 2-0 is my prediction.

Finally, going to add Mr F’s SS into the treble.

        Halzeek,

The competition ran from Jan 1st – Jan 31st. January ended 7 hours and 50 minutes ago.

We don’t work on the site 24/7. Give us a chance to now contact the winners please. All will be notified in the coming days.

        Admin.

Haizeek, bookies agree prizes with us to give away and all are given away happily. Remember we are not crediting the accounts ourselves – details or usernames are passed on and it’s done by the bookies.

I’ve got to say, there are two stand out bets in the premier league today. SPURS at above evens away to hull looks a steal, but even better value is VILLA away at Everton. Okay, Everton are hard to beat at Goodison but their injury list is increasing, and with benteke and others hitting form,it wouldn’t be completely surprising to see villa get a result. The double chance is a great shout at over evens, but the real value lies with the 19/2 at betvictor for btts and villa to win. It’s a bit of a longshot, but those odds are very overpriced in my humble opinion.

    40. Jeezy 10 years ago

Damn Danny didnt see the tips but nice ones.U did ok i think with 3 of them won.I went for corners over 7 and 10 and both won.

    41. sloanmeister 10 years ago

Nice 1 danny, any tips for newcastle v sydney??

    42. patrick 10 years ago

Hi Danny any thoughts on Australian game jets v sydney

    43. Jeezy 10 years ago

Last 3 h2h meetings won by West Sidney 2 of them on Newcastle Jets soil and 2 went over 2,5 goals, last fixture was in dec 2013.
      3 bets for me

      West Sidney win
      Over 10 corners
      Santalab to score anytime
Maybe under 2.5 but i will wait for these 1

    44. phil 72 10 years ago

N1 DANNY had btts over and 2-1
      Good start

    45. craig alves 10 years ago

Sunderland fotta be in wi a chance since cabaye and remy won’t be in Newcastle line up. just put all my bets up so I dont have to go into every selection all the time on betvictor. Paddy power added free £5 to my account tae but keeping it for tomorrow incase all bets lose today, spurs X2 Arsenal 2+ should be safe tho

    46. phil 72 10 years ago

Can see villa game being a score draw

    47. craig alves 10 years ago

Danny good dhout again with the early Australian game, a bit too early for me tho

    48. Darren G 10 years ago

Guys, I noticed last night that PP were doing a special on Man U to win away to stoke at 2/1 if you download the PP iPad app, I got pretty excite when I saw this and deposited 150 I’m to my account only to discover maximum stakes are limited to £10, I did expect this but was still hoping for no limit !

      • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Darren G, you’ll never get no limit on specials like that, it’s usually a tenner or up to £25.

    49. Horsing Around 10 years ago

On to another day, does anyone know whether Bet365 guess their odds on the more obscure games?

For instance, this morning 10-15 mins in-play Ceres are playing Laos FC in the Philippines UFL Division 2 and were 1.081 to win the game.

I did a bit of research and had seen that Ceres had smashed the same team in a cup game late last year so I thought I’d go on over 1.5 goals h/t and Ceres to be winning at h/t.

It is now h/t (0-0) and their odds are now 1.8 for them to win the game which is incredible when you consider 30 mins before they were 1.081 to win.

Any thoughts? I’ve been stung a few times by this – fortunately this morning was only a small stake.

      • Horsing Around 10 years ago

Now they are losing against a team who were around 15/1…..I just don’t get it.

Any feedback would be great as I’ve lost another small stake thinking Ceres would score first in the 2nd half.

      • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Horsing Around, bet365 will never guess but they price up so many that sometimes their expertise will be lacking or they’ll just get it wrong. That’s why they’ll act so quickly when they start seeing money for a team.

    50. Horsing Around 10 years ago

      My four-fold today

      West Ham (Double chance)
      Man United (Win)
      Spurs (Win)
      Everton v Villa (BTTS)

      Odds around 8/1

    51. James 10 years ago

Nice wee 4/1 from me today.

Swindon and Kilmarnock both to score 2 or more.

Swindon have done so in their past 5 home games, and Oldham have been terrible on the travels. With the strike force Swindon have at EVENS its very generous.

Kilmarnock are a good side, they just added former player Ermerenko who is a cut above alot of the SPL players, and him linking with Boyd is sure to equal goal. County are a very poor side. Only my team Hearts have conceded more goals than them, most recently got hit for 3 at Partick thistle.

4/1 for the double too good to pass up.

    52. Flickhead 10 years ago

Brave selections today mrf think I will stick to your safe 3 of derby brentford Leicester but add man utd for an accumulator.
Will have a go on your draws
      Good luck today

      • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

jimmybee, it’s all about Derby for me today really. I had to pick the Super Single before the Macheda loan to Birmingham went through so hoping he won’t affect the outcome. All week on the site Birmingham fans have been dismissing their side’s chances so we’ll see if they’re right.

    55. el tel 10 years ago

Game coming up Australia state cups

PENINSULA POWER VS. MORETON BAY UNITED
Both teams full off goals looking at the stats so get on over 4.5 odds 2.7 to get your day started
Or the away team over 1.5 odds 2.25

    56. el tel 10 years ago

I fancy an upset today in the Everton game. I no villa not great but with odds of 6.5 I reckon that way to good to miss

    57. phil 72 10 years ago

Palace or draw 3-1 might waste a little money on that :-)

    60. John Regan 10 years ago

I totally understand the super single due to my team birmingham having a really hard time of it were relying to much on loan players but i just can’t back against them I’m hoping macheda can do something today good luck with your bets.

    61. Remco 10 years ago

      MR F,

What do you think of the match Swintown Town – Oldham Atletic. Swindon is in a realy good form home. Overall they lost 2 matches and drawed once. 10 games have been won. Oldham is in a realy bad shape and only won 3/15 away games.

      Swindon to win @ 2.15

Is the point system back on Mr Fixit?
Thought it had been shelved but I much prefer it as a guide to your thoughts of relative strength of each ss.

      • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

simple simon, the concenus was to shelve the points system and of course last week I let the site pick the single. Derby today would be a 2 or 3-pointer.

Off to study and tred safely.

    68. Madi 10 years ago

Message published before I finished! I fancy a score draw here. I agree with mr f lots of aways look good Leicester derby spurs Man U. I even like the look of reading and Huddersfield. Have a £2 7 fold on the above at 500/1! Trixie of spurs derby and Leicester. Today’s either going to be a great day or the usual Saturday downer!

    69. Jimmybee 10 years ago

Anyone got any decent tips other than quit?

Horsing Blackburn and Kilmarnock double?? Looks solid to me :)

      • Horsing Around 10 years ago

I will take a look – thank Kev.

Need a 10th corner in Aussie game and Paok U19 to score again otherwise it’ll be 1 out of 9 tips won. Awful.

    74. Jeezy 10 years ago

Horsing i follow others tips like The Dane,Alex,Raal,Greg,Sean and because i suck at mines i play them but small stakes :)

      • Horsing Around 10 years ago

I know what you mean – I usually do follow some of those guys. However, I do prefer to bet in-play and have been on quite good runs in the past but those guys don’t seem to do it themselves.

One tip I will give for free that will 99% come in because I’m not going to touch it is Barcelona Women. Whenever I’ve bet on them they’ve let me down for goals or for hem to win in-play.

I can guarantee they will do it today (kick-off at 1045).

My tip – Barcelona Women game to have loads of goals.

    75. Bill the Fox 10 years ago

I’m looking at the goalscorers market today. Wondering if anyone has any tips?

Like the look of Chris O’Grady today away against his former club Sheff Weds – 11/2 first or 15/8 anytime @ bet365.

Also depending on his role in the lineup today, Yann Kermorgant 9/4 anytime @bet365 to score against his old club Leicester. Has netted 3 times against us since he left following his awful play off penalty miss .

      • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Bill the Fox, a couple of players I’m looking at are Benteke and Adebayor as well as Rooney for Aberdeen and Boyd for Kilmarnock.

    76. jacmar 10 years ago

my bets for today Leverkusen mainz and schalke games over 2.5 goals £25 gets £117 wae hills. As I always bet on german and dutch games try a small stake £5 on all german 2.30ko”s and 4 dutch games tonight over 2.5 goals. Good luck with all bets. Mr fixit u do a great job keep up the good tips.

    77. Thebettingman 10 years ago

Hi guys last night was unsuccessful as Southend failed to score for me
But on to today was thinking spurs,Leicester and derby
10 pound stake gets me 85 in return what do yous think?

    78. Jeezy 10 years ago

@Horsing.Another market i like to play a lot is corners. has good odds and i think its safer then goals or result. But i bet mostly on games i can watch.Overs are very good.(8or9 per match).U should try. Today i am at 5 won and 1lost.And of course small stakes

      • Horsing Around 10 years ago

Might have to look into that – 2 out of 11 now for me today. Some Italian U19 match failed in scoring over 0.5 goals with 15 mins to play and Brisbane Roar bitches let in a last minute goal to make it 1-1 when I needed them to win.

Off to watch The Hammers now – got a good feeling about today to off-set the shambles I’ve had with my cash this morning.

I wish the internet was never invented and I hope that some day the government ban online betting….hahaha.

    79. Ritchie 10 years ago

Overs games..Fulham,Rotherham,Hoffenheim & Derby games today! If the games are 0-0 after 10 mts or so? can get evens in-play! Bit of value!G`luck today!

    80. Adi 10 years ago

Swindon, fleetwood, brentford, man u all over 1.5 team goals, have backed them all as singles, doubles, trebles and fourfold, fourfold pays over 9/1. Swindon strong at home and usually get a couple. Fleetwood strong at home so same reason. Brentford are flying and shrewsbury can be very poor at the back, and finally man u with rooney, rvp, and mata should get at least 2 against a stoke who certainly arent the right defensive unit they were under pulis!

For now, this is the six-fold i’ve gone for:

      Man Utd

Im off to watch Bournemouth today Eunan Okane missing today so could be the difference. Bmth dominate teams but what happens is the away side lets you have the possession and stifles you and hits you on the counter I feel that’s what will happen today with Leicester. If bmth can take the chances which will be to a minimum they could nick but going for an away win.

    90. dazmez 10 years ago

I’ve just read some of the comments regarding Steve the pirate and I’m quite baffled to be honest. He brings some valid points and views + he’s a funny guy for me!!! Why don’t people leave the getting users off this site thing to mr f and concentrate on finding some great tips so we can all win some money today!!! ( :

        Morning folks,

Just a quick reply Shaun seen as I’m a fan of Steve. We had a moron posting last night using Steve the pirates username, hope that clears things up. He wasn’t the real Steve, and he wasn’t very nice (in sure you know the type by now, jut some random idiot)

Levante are good value for me at home to Rayo today at 13/10 5pm KO. In their last 7 games they’ve won 3 drawn 2 and lost 2 and scored in all but 1, a goal less draw at Rayo in the Copa Del Rey although went through with a 1-0 win at home. This may not seem that good but they’ve played Barca 3 times, losing twice and drawing 1-1 at home, in the last 4 games. Rayo sit 2nd bottom and have lost 15 out their last 20 away games so not the best travellers.

      Levante win 13/10 @betvictor

Now that the “fake” pirates comments have been removed from the thread, it looks like the replies are directed towards the real Pirate Steve, especially to anyone new to the site and reading the top tips for the first time. To avoid confusion, the comments replying to the fake pirate should also be removed

Interesting McCormack bet raaljaca. I’m backing a complete Leeds meltdown as my SS today so hopefully it’s a 3-1 or more Huddersfield win with McCormack nicking one

      • raaljaca 10 years ago

Hsta, I think Leeds players may just raise there games, daft term I know, as a tribute to McDermott. God help Leeds if they appoint Festa.

Congrats on McCormack, mine looks dead, managed to get a little cover at 11/8 but just short of the stakes I put on so slightly down.

Horsing around, have read a few of your comments recently, first I will say that I havent been doing this long. Perhaps instead of doing so many bets (over ten) and so many what seems like in play bet, you could just find say 3 that you have researched and feel confident about, and split what you normally stake in a day just on those 3 bets. Could try it for a while and see how it goes :)

Regarding Steve the pirate, sorry I didn’t realise we had an imposter.

      My bets for the day

Big bets: van Persie, Boyd and McCormack first and anytime scorers. Top treble: Cardiff, spurs and brentford. BTTS treble everton fulham and Leeds. Spurs to win outright.

Small bets: benteke and Rhodes first and anytime scorers

My big gambles of the day are eriksen first and anytime scorer, this is a big price but I will take my chances. Partick to win at home, surely today’s the day!!! I will also stick a first and
anytime scorer five fold containing van Persie, benteke, McCormack, Rhodes and Boyd.

      Good luck everyone today!!!

    137. The UHT 10 years ago

Guiseley were a big letdown midweek, losing to Barrow. In horrible conditions, they played against 10 men for over an hour, but just could not convert their pressure/chances.

I really like this treble for today, but since any/all of these games could still be called off, or be affected adversely by weather conditions, I’m not writing them up any more fully! However, with teams playing to form, on level pitches in benign conditions, I would fancy this to come in.

      Southern Premier League
Hemel Hempstead v Cambridge City HOME @ 4/5

      Northern Premier League
Witton v Worksop AWAY @ Evens

      Isthmian Premier League
Thamesmead v Enfield Town HOME @ Evens

      The treble pays at 7.2.

      . . .

      Good luck today, everybody!

Afternoon all. Here’s to a good day.

Been following the site since late last year but rarely post. The best thing i have learned is discipline when betting. I used to do stupid accas but now stick to singles and doubles.

My aim each week is to turn £10 into £40. I then withdraw £30 and start again. Im sure to some this doesn’t sound much but makes a big difference to me.

So thanks to the all the usual suspects for their tips.

*** Anytime Scorer and win treble ***

Generally bwin isn’t the best bookie for football but I’m finding myself using them more for their doubling and trebling of first and anytime scorers for selected EPL games.

They are also competitive in the anytime scorer and win market and this treble caught my eye. I fancy Man U and Liverpool both to win comfortably and although Bilbao are goign well,Real will be too strong. Don’t think the scorers need much explanation!

2.9 Robin Van Persie to score and Man Utd to win vs Stoke
2.6 Luis Suarez to score and Liverpool to win vs W Brom
2.3 Ronaldo to score and Real Madrid to win vs Ath Bilbao

      £15 singles
      2 x £7.50 doubles
      1 x £7.50 treble

Treble pays £173.40 to a £10 stake at bwin

For what is likely to be a tight game I can’t believe Aston Villa at 6-1. I will be keeping this a small punt and hoping for a bit of luck. With Villa having found some good form in front of goal and Lukaku out for Everton they might be able to nick it. Benteke has stepped it up again and he grabbed two against Everton in this fixture last Feb. Draw no bet is 10/3 and even the double chance pays 7/5 but I am just going to take a chance with a small stake on villa.

      Benteke anytime 11/5
      Villa 6-1
      Benteke fgs 0-20mins 18-1

Andrew, as you know Villa were on the Super Single shortlist. I got shot down putting them there but they have a great record at Goodison. Tipped them in today’s Daily Record and have backed them to win and not to lose so hoping they’ll hold it.

raaljaca, just back from seeing Bankies lose in last minute so a bit pissed off. I don’t understand why people make those sort of comments because in football both teams can always score. Deeky said the same about Braunschweig last night. All they had to say was “I don’t think they’ll score” instead of “they won’t score”. Anyway good to see Derby back level and hopefully they’ll kick on.

Super tricky 3 games tonight in Serie A to predict

      AC v Torino
Well Balotelli is out and so is Abiatti the goalkeeper. I like neither replacement for them, though to be fair, Pazzini has not had much of a chance.
Its a balanced affair yet the thing that could swing it for me is in the advanced midfield.
AC between them have only scored Kaka5 Robinho3 Honda0
      then look at Torino;
      Cerci 10 Immobile 10 Kaddouri 2

22 goals vs 8…Of course if football was as simple as this. …..

Yet Milan will play 4231 and I think Torino will sit back soak in the pressure and counter. Those three in Torino can be fierce on counter attack. It will be interesting to see how Milan deal with it.

Last game in turin, Torino were two nil up until they gave away two goals. An early bad habit they gave up fortunately…so far..

Draw or Torino 13/10 (they are 4/1 to win)

      • Oor man in Napoli 10 years ago

        Cagliari v Fiorentina

The Sardinians still wont get the usual full support while their stadium is being renovated so a small crowd of 5000 will watch it.
The main miss for me is Valero for Fiorentina with Anderson coming in for his first game.
Valero makes a big contribution to Fiorentina but last week Aqualini stepped into that role and scored three goals.
Fiorentina have Tomovic still out and Montella will switch to back 3.

Cagliari will soak up pressure and counter attack which they are very good at. Fiorentina will need to watch this. Cagliari have played decently but they dont quite have the depth to win games.

Form is easily on the side of Fiorentina but Cagliari could steal a draw.

I fancy btts and Fiorentina to win which is risky but 3/1
But i fancy a Fiorentina win overall

        btw
Cagliari president has just bought Leeds Utd so he has two fingers in two pies each and nowhere to stick his thumb.

    178. Nathan 10 years ago

      Aberdeen 4-0 St Johnstone

      Aberdeen 10/11 WIN :(

This is not from tinted glasses but The score line is not a fair reflection of how this match turned out! Aberdeen were on the back foot for the majority of the match but somehow managed to sneak three goals all from horrendous mistakes! I’ve won a handsome amount from This game but it doesn’t mask my disappointment! Seriously
      pissed off!

Only + point is the bankroll is in a very healthy position! Hope you are all having a good day with your bets! I left after the third goal, on the train back to Glasgow ready!

Jeezy, that’s unbelievable really. I’m so glad I made the comment to cover at 3-1 Derby and pleased I did so at 3-2. Had a bad feeling but it’s crazy it happened two Saturdays in a row.

      • raaljaca 10 years ago

Given the nature of the bet at 3-1 the draw and/or Birmingham can be covered for small stakes to guarantee a profit all round. I appreciate not every body has that option but those who do should never ever shy away from turning any bet into a guaranteed winner. If every Super Single bet led by 2 goals minimum in running then a profit is 100% guaranteed with the correct covering bets.

      • Jeezy 10 years ago

free fiver on Levante Forest and Liverpool @paddypower returns just over 5/1 after a disappointing day, only good thing is my £5 trebles still on the go for £30.47 if Arsenal can score twice tomorrow but after today wouldn’t surprise me if palace win 3-1 :)

    194. Max 10 years ago

well, lets hope fiorentina restore todays losses. We can then look forward, tomorrow seems to be a nice day.

    195. Alex 10 years ago

The SS is just cursed at the moment, absolutely crazy

      Update:
Augsburg win and over 2.5 goals – 6/4 – WIN
      Leverkusen over 2.5 team goals – 6/4 – LOST
Leyton Orient over 1.5 team goals – 11/8 – LOST

-0.5pts so far but I like the look of Roda later!

Any views on St Etienne at home to low league valenciennes, and Nantes away to 2nd bottom Sochaux? Need wins for £120 off a £2 stake. A 6 fold which includes wolves, cardiff, Wigan, and Bayer leverkusen. 3 of which came from a goal down!! Surely lady luck is on my side tonight :-)

Raaljacca I would love to retire and make a living gambling but as we all know there is a lot of hard work and studying that goes into the tips guys like yourself and others provide so for that I thank you and I’ll continue my office life. Derby were the right side today, I did Gateshead at 6/5 as my single bit was on derby also and the late goals twice in row is unreal. I’ll buy Mr f a beer to commiserate the desperate bad luck

    203. craigdon 10 years ago

Trying a wee fivefold, luck has to change.

      Fiorentina
      Monchengladbach
      Porto
      Benfica
      Herenveen

Pays around 12/1 but of the lot Monchebgladbach are the value bet, 7/5 away to a poor Hannover side.

      **** RACING SUMMARY****

On Friday night Johnb gave us 3 selections of which 1 was a NAP 1 was an NB and the other was pipped for his NB. The outcome was that the NAP became a non runner and the other 2 romped home. If you backed the 3 in doubles and a treble you would have staked 4 points and got a return of 40 points. John also gave a horse running at Meydan that he said would have been a NAP but he also said it fitted the profile of a horse that lost recently due to lack of fitness and this one duly lost. 4 tips and 2 big priced winners with a non runner. I personally am finding it very difficult to put into perspective just how good this man is but put it this way if he was to do this as a full time job people would 100% guaranteed, pay good money for his knowledge so just appreciate exactly what we have here through Mr F’s work and Johns willingness to share.
      Other guys who struck gold today with winning NAP’s are;

      DUNCAN POUNDCAKE

      SWANY

      BLAYYERS (again)

      ABBAS

      TOPTIPSTER

      DANNY

DEANDRE (his hasn’t run but will win in 10 minutes!)

Also a mention for ENDA who may not have landed a NAP but confidently put us all onto a big priced winner at Meydan. Brilliant work one and all.

      JOHNB’S SUNDAY TIPS;

      MUSSELBURGH 2.00 UPEPITO

      MUSSELBURGH 3.00 ERICHT

Johns advice is to back them tonight at the prices available.

    206. Steve The Pirate 10 years ago

Ahoy there mateys! Wow, tis been an eventful time it would seem! To be brutally honest, I’m a bit gutted I was out sailing while my imposter ran amuck. I shall do my best not to let the fame go to my head, which should be easy, cos the rum’s already done that! But to assure everyone- the gay fake pirate be not one of my mateys, I only let the finest seaman into my vessel, hah har har!

Today is a story how where I was practically close enough to the booty to ravage it, yet somehow it got away! Derby throwing it away was like slicing me spleen with me own cutlass, and Brentford also lost a stoppage time equaliser to kill a hefty 5fold. (played the 4folds too, so all is not lost there)

On the upside I highlighted 5 picks I thought were worth considering for the SS (without cursing myself by tipping them), backed them all and four of them landed, with Sunderland romping in to bring in a hefty chest at 10/3. Meanwhile Southampton, Ipswich and Sheff Wed all put their foes to the sword while Swansea drowned against the Hammers. That was the most dubious one out the lot and maybe I underestimated how tough a time they are having just now.

Anyways, I be off to heal my wounds with some rum. I had a close encounter with a swordfish today, garrrr

    207. Blair 10 years ago

Bet 365 took my cash out option away when all I was waiting for Derby to hold on they withdrew it on 85 minute for rover 500
      That seems very wrong
Does anyone know if this is a fair decision or wrong on there behalf called up and they have temporarily suspended me
      Crazy
I have been promised a call back from there sensible gambling department
      Strange really

what a day fiorentina turn to mess up the script! fixit man got anything for tonight?

    210. The Turk 10 years ago

      Eskisehir 1 Fenerbahce 1 H/T

Fenerbahce has been the dominant side in the first half. They should have scored at least another one. I really fancy them to go on and win comfortably. They always seem to do better late on in the game. They are available @ 11/8 and over 2.5 Fener goals @ 3/1

      Good Luck

    211. Greg Browning 10 years ago

The a murrayfield was alright, there was a good few of us so was a good laugh! Not a really a beer drinker, had a few JD’d and a nice number of Jura Whiskeys! :) thoughts on tomorrow?

      • raaljaca 10 years ago

Greg, we are so unpredictable that it is difficult to fathom out. Stevenson is back which is good and we are playing good football but only worry is Locke may set out to keep it tight and sneak a goal, if that happens we will lose. I want to see them throw caution to the wind and attack Caley from the start. Best bet I can see is for Hearts to go a goal down and then back them to draw or win at large odds as any game plan would go out of the window. How about McKay (Inverness) for first goal and a 1-1 or 2-2 draw!

    212. The UHT 10 years ago

Tough day all round. Don’t know what happened with Worksop earlier. Two of my three picks were postponed, but Worksop played and could only draw away. I know Mettam was fit, and I know they were ahead at half-time, and then 2-1 behind around 85 minutes. Final score was 2-2.

I just want some better weather and no more postponements in the next few weekends, but I definitely think there will be interesting midweek evenings ahead with so many matches in non-league now rearranged to those upcoming nights.

Meanwhile, we’ll be going to Brazil again this evening, and we’ll be going with the same method. We’ll be on the teams we know against the teams we’ve never heard of.

We have four quality sides at home this evening, and we know how good they are in national leagues, where the best teams in Brazil play, and we know they’re playing regional teams in the local championship who aren’t at that national level or anywhere near it.

Here are the teams I’d suggest tonight with their season-ending home position in their respective national league.

ALL are top-half sides in their national league, and all except Icasa are Serie A. Icasa are a particular favourite of mine!

      Icasa @ 3/5 7pm Serie B – 6th
      Goias @ 4/11 7pm Serie A – 8th
      Coritiba FBC @ 2/5 7pm Serie A – 9th
      Santos @ 4/9 9.30pm Serie A – 7th

      That pays around 4.4

      . . .

      Good luck tonight, everyone!

    231. Greg Browning 10 years ago

      Milan v Torino KO 7.45pm

New manager Seedorf has tasted victory from two of his three matches – tonight they host a Torino side who they have certainly got the better if in recent ears! Milan have lost just one of their last 22 meetings against the visitors and are 8 wins and 3 draws from 11 home matches against them

Just 4 points seperate these two and despite Torino having the points advantage, Milan for all their troubles this season are generally tough to beat at the San Siro! Thought about just doing a single in Milan at 4/7 but opting for home goals!

Back over 1.5 Milan team goals 4/5

      • Hsta 10 years ago

Ah go on then Greg I’ll join in with that tip!

    232. Ad 10 years ago

Leffe Ruby? Expensive tastes indeed Mr F -you can’t beat the Belgian poison. I take it that Scotland still has a poor ale-ing reputation!

A bit of a curveball from for tomorrow’s tip after a disaster today:

      Tomorrow: Watford v Brighton

Watford half time lead and fail to win 12-1 at Coral (well, they were in that position against Man City and Notts Forest in their last two games). You could even back Brighton as well in the same market at the same odds. I can see it being tight but I would be surprised if no one score din the first 45.

    239. craig alves 10 years ago

I’ll second that, shocking results man utd barca porto spurs derby…..the list goes on. I’m done for this wknd with Arsenal to score 2+ to land a treble, getting the hard bit done on Thursday wi forest/btts and even spurs double chance nearly failed. Will be watching in hope rather than expectation tomorrow and will be back Monday night for City Chelsea to look forward to now :)

    243. Dave de Gernier 10 years ago

Liverpool -1 tomorrow @6/4 has to be in for a shout for SS.

    244. raaljaca 10 years ago

Rogerdodger, trust me there is nothing suspicious. In all the Scottish Leagues every team is capable of beating each other outside of Celtic and Rangers. The teams at the top are just that bit more consistent. If you look at the turn over of managers you will see this, almost all chairman believe their club is capable of better! Backing teams to win is very difficult but profitable if you call it right as plenty odds against shots will win. I used to go for both to score in these lower leagues but the state of some of the pitches even makes that a guessing game at present.

      • Rogerdodger 10 years ago

Hmmm…..I’m partially convinced, but thanks for the input raaljaca. I’ll tread with more caution next time!

I’m guessing the people complaining are the ones that don’t bet wisely? A tip is just an opinion on what someone thinks an outcome may be, it’s backed up with reasoning but nobody can predict little things going wrong like a red card or a striker having a bad day, we win some and we lose some

Here’s my BTTS & win for tomorrow, Troy. Gonna take one or two of yours also.

    259. CloudyBays 10 years ago

BobH and BigCol, regarding the SS profit or loss margin as it is at the moment. I think it would be good if Mr F kept publishing the loss or profit in his SS column, as it would let the public know where the SS stands at that moment in time for the year..

    260. PeteT 10 years ago

There is a great saying that “the sum of the parts is greater than the whole”. In the context of this community it sums up perfectly what this site is all about. This isn’t a one man crusade to beat the bookies but, as a community, the sum of all of knowledge and skills and expertise is much greater than any one individual (and there are a number of amazing individuals here).

The key to being successful is discipline with your staking, minimising your loses (which sometimes does reduce your short term profits) and researching the information shared between everyone on the site. If you want to moan about a tip the time to do it is BEFORE the match or event, not after the event.

If you’re not being successful in the medium to long term then I suggest that you need to look at your staking and how you cover bets. Recently Mr F hasn’t shyed away from the fact his Super Singles have had dreadful luck (I mean a 3-0 lead being lost by Scunthorpe last week …. you can’t just blame the tipper!). But these are scenarios where we should cover (and if we don’t then we have to blame ourselves because the cost of covering in such a situation is so minimal in the grand scheme).

Now if you don’t like Mr F’s tips but just want to follow the Chief, Greg, Alex, Sean, The Dane or any other PUNTER then go ahead. I bet there are people here just following JohnB’s horse racing tips or just follow The Chief (for example). There will undoubtedly by those who just follow Goalscorer tips or just the super single.

For those who are serious about beating the bookies remember that the sum of the parts are greater than the whole. Have an opinion on bets, share them (preferably before the event) and stake wisely.

      • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

PeteT, well summed up. The reality is I don’t force people to visit so people who don’t like the site should find one they do. Last week I gave the cover options on Scunthorpe and again today with Derby. Anyone serious about backing a single should be aware if their team takes the lead a profit is almost guaranteed. Anyone backing Derby to draw at 3-1 up would I imagine have made more from the game finishing in a draw. I was having a really good day until the last minute – then Derby and Brentford conceded.

Can see a few goals in the Liverpool game tomorrow. McAuleys still out injured and Suarez and Sturridge should run rings round his replacement Lugano, who looked very exposed against an average Villa team. Liverpool themselves are prone to conceding a few on the road and I wouldn’t be shocked if West Brom managed to nick at least one.

Liverpool over 2.5 team goals 13/8
Liverpool to win and over 3.5 goals 5/2

Also going to have a dabble in the Arsenal v Crystal Palace game. Palace are a much improved team under Pulis and and reasonably well organised. Arsenal haven’t been at their best lately and some of their wins look a bit laboured. Since the beginning of November Arsenal at home have only conceded one goal but have failed to score more than 2 at the emirates in the same period. None of their last seven home games has seen over 2.5 goals. Crystal Palace on the other hand have only scored 5 away goals all season. Away from home they have only conceded more than 2 goals once all season (against Liverpool) and that includes games against Man city and Chelsea. Only one of their last seven away games has been over 2.5 goals. Bit of dodgier selection as a single Palace goal kills the bet and I’m sure most people wouldn’t go for it but the stats back it up. Now watch Arsenal go out and hammer Palace by 5 haha

Arsenal to win and under 2.5 goals 21/10
      Arsenal to win 2-0 5-1

Mr F seems like the SS has been cursed of late, just doesn’t seem to want to come in, I’m glad my SS for the day was Leicester although I did have a small stake on Derby, too bad they conceded last minute… Thanks anyways and thanks to Johnb and Blayyers. Let’s hope tomorrow is a better day ;)

Tempest, had singles on both – Leicester were on the shortlist but I see they were lucky too.

      Today’s Summary:

      Staked: 4pts
      Return: 2.5pts

      Weekly Summary:

      Staked: 19pts
      Return: 23.89pts

Still a good week but hopefully tomorrow will be an improvement on today! Just one goal off in every game, but that’s how it goes some days!
