THERE are plenty of games to choose from this weekend with FA Cup ties added to the mix.

I’m kicking off my line with a clash that features two sides who have been banging in the goals, Bury and Southend.

League One Bury have netted exactly two in four of their last five matches while League Two Southend are sure to give them a tough test after hitting 11 in their last three matches and winning five of their last six.

My second pick from the FA Cup is Carlisle v Bournemouth. A couple of weeks ago I wrote that Brunton Park had seen more goals than any English ground this season and overall Carlisle’s last six have seen both score with 24 goals scored.

It was 4-2 to Bournemouth at Brunton Park when the sides met in October and five of the last six meetings have witnessed both scoring. Bournemouth have netted in their last six with four out of five seeing both hit the target.

Other FA Cup ties catch the eye – including Sheff Utd v Port Vale and Fleetwood v Aldershot – but I’m heading to the Premier League for my next pick. There are another two London derbies this weekend and one sees Fulham v Spurs.

Fulham may have held Chelsea 0-0 at Stamford Bridge at the weekend but there are usually goals at the Cottage. Their last two have produced eight goals and two of Fulham’s last four aways have been 3-3.

Spurs have lost their last two in the league on the road – 5-2 at Arsenal and 2-1 at Man City – and the London rivals have enough forward-thinking players to suggest both will score as has been the case in three of the last four clashes.

Other Premier League games that should see both score include Liverpool v Southampton and QPR v Aston Villa but I’m heading for the Championship and Peterborough v Blackpool.

Five of Boro’s last six and six of Blackpool’s last seven have seen both score. Posh have been struggling with players but at home usually score and have done so in their last four.

Blackpool are still finding their feet under Michael Appleton but have netted in their last seven with their previous four matches ending in score draws.

Complete the fivefold with Wycombe v Bristol Rovers. The last three meetings have totalled 16 goals, including a 6-3 win for Rovers, and Wycombe’s last four have seen 15 goals.

Rovers drew 3-3 at home to Bradford last week and before that conceded 13 in four games but replied with seven of their own.

Both teams to score

Bury v Southend

Carlisle v Bournemouth

Fulham v Spurs

Peterborough v Blackpool

Wycombe v Bristol Rovers

Nothing really takes my fancy tonight, so just going for a fiver double on:

    Randers to win (Denmark Cup)
Astra Giurgiu to win (Romanian Cup) – Asian Handicap 0.0

  3. The Dane 6 years ago

No tips for today from Mr. Fixit so I’ll be resting my “Mr. Fixit-bankroll” today.

The BTTS tips will be used the same day as they are played.

The Dane, not really prepared to put up anything on tonight’s French or Spanish cup games. Might look at the Friday matches but for me it’s about the weekend now.

Mr. Fixit, I respect for you for not just posting picks to satisfy us investors and have no problem resting my “Mr. Fixit-bankroll” a day or two.

AC, if you by villian mean someone who’s aim are to safe and slowly rob the bookies for as many money as possible … then you’re right :-)

The Dane, I always do tips on busy nights, but not always on quiet ones, depends what’s on. No point in putting tips up for the sake of it and by the end of the week I’m concentrating on the weekend when I have the newspaper column to finish by Fridat afternoon and all the site stuff to do. Might be some Friday tips up when I’ve had a good luck at the games.

  4. AC 6 years ago

Haha The Dane reminds me of a Bond Villian … I can see him sitting on his swivel chair at his desk … stroking a cat

Being a spurs fan i’m not totally sold on this Villas Boas guy, yes the players are scoring but their style of play is not exactly great to watch, i think Adebayor needs to go…but for BTTS against Fulham it looks very good

John, I know a couple of Spurs who are not exactly thrilled by him. Can’t make for a good atmosphere at home when he’s not trusted by the faithful. Not as bad as the Rafa situation though and at least Spurs usually score.

  6. Dave 6 years ago

Peter Murphy out with a hernia for a few weeks so our best defender won’t be playing.so i’d say carlisle has to be a cert for both to score.carlisle to win with both scoring is 5/1 and Bournmouth is 4/1.

Dave, good info there and makes me even more convinced about btts in the game.

Just been on sky bet site morton ht ft 22/1 draw no bet 7/2 somebody making a boob don’t know if they would pay out as odds just to woo are 1/6

    • Profile photo of Mr Fixit Author
      Mr Fixit 6 years ago

Hughie, they’ll pay out if they don’t notice the mistake but otherwise probably not.

  8. Hughie 6 years ago

    Sorry to win 1/6

  9. Neil H 6 years ago

    Hughie well spotted

Just been on and placed some bets buty chances are they will get voided. The way I see it though may as well give it a go as you never know. Looks like they have got odds wrong way round. I could only deposit £50 but put on £24 on Morton HT /FT at 22/1. £24 on Morton Draw no bet at 9/1 and £2 Morton 3 nil win at massive 250/1.
Just as finishing writing this notcie betting has been suspended and game is no longer on list.
Fix it do you reckon they will honour bets or likely they will void them Early xmas present if they dont!!!!

      Mr Fixit 6 years ago

Neil H, depends what it’s going to cost them. They don’t have to pay out because it’s a genuine mistake but sometimes do to keep customers happy.

  10. Hughie 6 years ago

Dundee iutd same price only 4/9 ht ft so suspect they won’t pay out .

  11. Hughie 6 years ago

Bang goes early Xmas from sky bet hope you get paid out Neil gl.

Hughie, I won’t take full credit for Rennes btts but obviously wouldn’t have mentioned it if I didn’t like it.

Craig, that’s a good week. I’ll always put up winners and also losers too. Some good advice posted here every day by punters who know what they’re talking about so we can all help each other.

  18. Craig 6 years ago

Yeah its been good, i appriecate you not always pick winners but the info givin is very good from what ive read do far thanks to everyone on here to. i Was getting greedy looking for a big pay after winning £600 from a 4-fold earlier this season so been having 6 and 7 folds. Until reading less teams higher stakes. been 1 team away on 80% of bets I was having

Craig, If you keep being one away you’ll get there in the end but the best way to go is always to reduce the selections.
