WATFORD turned chances into goals at Leeds last week and will be hoping for more of the same when they face Wolves at Vicarage Road.

Gianfranco Zola’s side netted six against nine men and face an outfit who drew 3-3 at home to Brighton last week and whose fans have seen both score in four of their last games.

Two of the last three meetings have produced five goals with both scoring in each.

I’m staying in the Championship with Burnley v Charlton. Burnley have scored in five of their last six including a 4-3 win at Bristol City while Charlton’s only clean sheet in five was at Bristol City on Sunday. Their recent run includes that amazing 5-4 victory against Cardiff and both sides are in good scoring form.

Now for a third game from the Championship and it’s Nottingham Forest v Sheffield Wednesday. I’m hoping Forest’s 0-0 midweek draw with Middlesbrough was just a blip because six of their last seven have seen both score.

I was quite impressed by Wednesday as they went down 3-1 at Boro last Friday and they could have had a few more goals. They have netted in four of their last five and the last two meetings of the teams have ended 2-1 Forest.

Right let’s go down to League Two and try Shrewsbury v Crewe. Five of the Shrews’ last six have seen both score – with all games over 2.5 goals – while Crewe have netted nine goals in three successive wins so should be on target at Gay Meadow.

I was tempted to complete the line with Arsenal v Spurs but as it’s the early game I think I’ll leave it out. Instead try West Brom v Chelsea.

The Baggies have been one of the best home performers of the season with five wins out of six that have helped move them into the top five. Steve Clarke’s side have netted an average of two at home and will be hoping to maintain that run against a Chelsea outfit dealt a blow by skipper John Terry’s absence.

Chelsea are unbeaten away and will be looking to win the game so there should be goals.

Both teams to score

Watford v Wolves

Burnley v Charlton

Nottm Forest v Sheff Wed

Shrewsbury v Crewe

West Brom v Chelsea

Mr F … I’ve just tried to bet online with paddypower with a mixed accumulator of 3 games with btts, 3 games to produce over 2.5 goals and 3 out and out winners but it won’t let me … Is there any other bookies that allow mixed accumulators?

    • Profile photo of Mr Fixit Author
      Mr Fixit 6 years ago

AC, as Phil says if it’s nine different games you should be able to do it with any firm that offers the prices. If you have nine different games call the helpline and ask why the bet’s been refused.

  3. phil 6 years ago

If they are 9 separate games it should allow you to bet. Have you got 9 different games?

  4. AC 6 years ago

Ah right, I have the arsenal v tottenham game in the BBTS and Over 2.5 goals … I’ll change that one and see if it allows it ..

    Cheers Fella’s

AC, yeah try that. Btts and over 2.5 goals in the same game is known as “related contigency” and they won’t allow that on accumulator. It’s like betting 0-0 and under 1.5 goals on the same match.

  5. AC 6 years ago

Yeah it’s gone through this time, You learn something new everyday … Cheers for the help again Mr F and Phil.

I’ve gone for an accumulator of

    Cardiff v Boro
    Leicester v Ipswich
    Watford v Leeds

    Over 2.5
    Arsenal v Spurs
    West Brom v Chelsea
    Norwich v United

    To Win

    £5 brings in £540 .. fingers crossed!

Cairnsy, haven’t looked at it to be honest. Been working on the weekend articles. Might take a view on it later.

  7. cairsny 6 years ago

alright mate. i feel evs is a big price for a league 2 side against a bue square north team

    • Micky 6 years ago

Burton to win is a cert, I’ve gone for a HT Draw / FT Burton @ 7/2, cos the 2nd half seems to be their usual score time. Also, Zola for 1st goal at 5/1 looks good.
      Best of Luck ;>)

  8. Craig alves 6 years ago

just came across this for btts, all the stats from this seasons English leagues.
had £10 on 2-2 in play wi Brazil Columbia last night but neymar missed a pen on 80 mins, made Roberto Baggie’s one look decent, that would have made it interesting finish but wasn’t to be.
my free £10 bet fi boylesport is on Inter Valencia Leicester Dortmund and btts Cardiff/Boro for £53
was gonna throw west brom DNB in but decided against it

  9. cairsny 6 years ago

cheers micky. what makes u so confident on them. am sure they equalised last minute for the replay. but should win a second time around i think

    • Micky 6 years ago

minnow teams usually only get 1 chance to cause an upset, also Altrincham have had better away form, so have now missed their chance.
Luton had a similar hick-up with Nuneaton, but soon sorted it out in the away leg.
Burton will be looking to get the 1st goal early, but I still feel it might take over 45 mins to come, so the safest bet is to stay with the away win

  10. Eddie 6 years ago

thats a good site loads of info on leagues throught europe

  11. cairsny 6 years ago

a agree with that mate the class should prevail tonite as did in other games. a like the look of two nil. am i right on saying that two divisions seperate them?

    • Micky 6 years ago

Cairsny – Yes 2 Divisions apart
      Conf North (12th) vs Leauge 2 (7th)

    • Profile photo of Mr Fixit Author
      Mr Fixit 6 years ago

Cairnsy, I’ve had a look at Altrincham v Burton and have to admit Burton look a decent shout. However, I’m not confident enough to have a bet on them. Altrincham were unlucky not to win the first game so won’t be overawed but they have won only twice at home all season. Burton are pretty inconsistent but do have a quaity striker in Calvin Zola who netted the injury-time equaliser in the original tie. If forced to have a bet I’d look at both teams to score or Zola to score at 6-4 with 888sport. For anyone who’s keen they might get some in-play value if they watch it but I won’t be able to.

  12. Craig alves 6 years ago

just stuck fiver on Burton -0.5 AH at bet365 after reading comments, changed from evens to 1.975 but prices been getting chopped across the board

Checking on paddypower to take your five fold btts see they have an offer on,btts special, money back if just one leg of your 5 fold acca lets you down,it is listed as just for English premier and championship matches only,as yours Mr f includes on league one game could swap this for poss the Arsenal v Spurs, looks a good offer on if anybody wants to take it,or if you can come up with
another game that can be taken from the premier/championship,instead of that lg 1 game.

    • Profile photo of Mr Fixit Author
      Mr Fixit 6 years ago

James, that’s a decent offer. I think Arsenal v Spurs will see both score but as I said left it out simply because it was the early game and I’ve already taken the early one on my Scottish line.

  16. anton 6 years ago

    Cardiff v Boro will bs

  17. roberskine 6 years ago

I fancy goalscorers this weekend, can see utd running riot at Norwich once they’ve conceded the first lol. Think city are due a big win too, maybe van persie, Rooney, tevez and aguerro all to score

  18. mr broke it 6 years ago

I always put 2 btts cupons on a Saturday, i pick 4 out of 5 of Mr fixits selections and pick my own but Nothing stands out for me this weekend on the btts market. Whats everyones one banker for the weekend on btts???? Im thinking i could russle up a treble from your single bankers. cheers

    • Profile photo of Mr Fixit Author
      Mr Fixit 6 years ago

Mr Broke it, I quite fancy the two early games at Arsenal and Aberdeen but I know some people don’t like doing them. After that I’d go Alloa v Brechin or looking at Europe what about Napoli v AC Milan or Leverkusen v Schalke.

  19. Craig alves 6 years ago

I’m hoping Cardiff/Boro but as seen wi Holland Germany anyhing can happen

  20. mr broke it 6 years ago

Craig i thought the germany was a cert im amazed a goal wasn’t even scored but i think if that game was a euro semi final for example then id put my house on that being btts

  21. Reece 6 years ago

    Arsenal v spurs (banker )
    WBA v Chelsea
    Reading v Everton
    Qpr v Southampton
    All btts 6-1 betfred
The prem and championship is the best leagues for btts over 60% strike right so far this season. The better quality the teams the more likely chances and goals will b scored .

  22. Hughie 6 years ago

Anyone interested in btts or over2.5 should look at austria erste liga loads goals there but prices reflect this kick offs friday 17.30

  23. mr broke it 6 years ago

I agree reece i think the elp is great for btts im not sure i agree when people say its the best league in the world but its probably the most exciting in the world with the pace its played at and the atmosphere.

  24. Clarks 6 years ago

Do btts acca’s count for acca insurance from William hill does anyone know?? Last night Hollland v Germany like most people on here was the only one to let me down…

    • Profile photo of Mr Fixit Author
      Mr Fixit 6 years ago

Clarks, pretty sure the acca insurance doesn’t apply to both teams to score. If it does it will be settled automatically. Certainly in shops it isn’t there.

  25. mr broke it 6 years ago

Yeah Mr fixit i like the look of the early games im taking your English selections on one cupon apart from the wolves game as they’ve let me down a couple of times im thinking btts
    qpr v southampton
    cardiff v m’boro
    Birmingham v hull

  26. mr broke it 6 years ago

    I like the look of

    tranmere v mk dons
    barnet v accrington st
    Dundee utd v kilmarnock

    btts treble

    • Profile photo of Mr Fixit Author
      Mr Fixit 6 years ago

Mr Broke it, I’d be surprised if that one comes in – you’ll see why when you read my write-up tomorrow. Having said that we know the chances of btts is any game is just about 50-50 so don’t let me put you off.

    Rangers 10/11 (1/10 in 90 mins)
    Barcelona 4/6 (1/10 in 90 mins)

Chris, they are three good prices and it’s a way of getting value from very short-priced teams.

Cairnsy, I’ll put the prices up in the morning. Accies play on grass after replacing the plastic pitch last time they were promoted to the SPL.

Thanks Mr fixit, it would have been a small stake for interest anyway, I’ll wait to read your article tomorrow
