Denmark v Australia

A win for Denmark would all but secure their place in the next round and could potentially leave them battling it out with France in the final group game to decide who finishes in top spot in Group C.
Pre-tournament I suspect the Danes would've pinpointed this match as the one where they would take all three points, but their battling 1-0 over Peru puts them in a great position ahead of this afternoon's clash. A draw would not be a disaster for Age Hareide, if France can take care of Peru later this afternoon. Denmark are slightly disadvantaged by having to play first, otherwise they may well have known if a draw would be enough to clinch qualification to the last 16.
As it is though, they'll be seeking all three points against Aussies, who need a win if they're to get out of the group.
Australia would've felt hard-done-by in their 2-1 defeat to France. They largely snuffed out the French and it took a penalty and a deflected effort from Paul Pogba to secure the win for France. It was an industrious, well-organised performance by the Aussies even if it did lack a little flair.
The same can also be said of Denmark; they too are a hard-working, disciplined side however, in Christian Eriksen they have someone who that can make the difference. Eriksen may not have stolen the headlines in their win over Peru but he's the man that makes them tick and can be the match-winner today.
It's unlikely to be game full of goals, although I'm surprised to Under 2.5 Goals chalked up at around the 8/15 mark – that's probably more of a reflection on how the group stage matches have gone so far, than the actual chances of there being less than 3 goals.
