LOOKING back Sunday was a day for goals rather than winners but I ended slightly up.
My Super Single was void with Eintracht Frankfurt drawing at Inglostadt but Fiorentina's last-gasp winner against Empoli landed the Top Treble.
That was lucky as was the fact I took Liverpool to score 2+ ahead of any sort of result as they lost an extraordinary game 4-3 at Bournemouth.
I left the FA Cup alone after a shortage of goals on Saturday but yesterday's 10 ties all went over 2.5 goals so I picked the wrong day to ignore as my own goals treble was a couple short.
And just a word for Ace Venturer who notched another winner on the golf thanks to 28-1 chance Brandon Stone's victory at the Alfred Dunhill Championship.
Ace has been on an amazing run and tells me he is 260pts in profit over the last six months. Last night I said 160 but read his text wrongly – he is 196pts up on Euro Tour tips and 63 up in PGA tips so just under 260pts. That's some shooting.
On Monday there is Middlesbrough v Hull in the Premier League and it's difficult to see past the home men while Lincoln face Oldham in the FA Cup and in the Scottish Cup East Fife travel to Edinburgh City in manager Gary Naysmith's final game before he takes the reins at Queen of the South.
In Italy it's Chievo v Genoa and Udinese v Bologna and Deportivo tackle Real Sociedad in La Liga.
Having looked at the games in more detail my only bet today is a Top Treble starting with Middlesbrough to win,
Aikor Karanka's side have been improving and confidence will have been lifted by draws at Arsenal, Man City and Leicester. They don't give much away and that's bad news for Hull who have picked up four points in 27 and conceded 15 and scored just two in their last four away games.
If I was picking a scorer I'd take Alvaro Negredo at 21-10 with bet365. The Spaniard had some tough times but impressed at Leicester and could be on the way back to his best.
Add Real Sociedad not to lose away to Deportivo. Form suggests goals but the head to head with two 0-0s and a 1-0 Real win on their last three visits. Last time out Sociedad shut out Barcelona in the Nou Camp with 10 men and even finishing with nine.
Deportivo are winless in six in the league and have conceded 17 in that spell – which is why goals could be on the menu. Real look better placed at the moment and I'm taking them not to lose.
Complete the treble with Udinese to score at home to Bologna. Form again suggests goals with Udinese's last seven seeing both teams scoring but again the h2h goes against this with the last five meetings under 2.5 but including two 1-1 draws. The bet for me is Udinese to score.

Total turd tonight but fortunately placed an in-play treble of BTTS in 2nd half at Deportivo, Middlesbrough to score in 2nd half & Udinese to score in 2nd half which came in at 10/1 to save the day.
