IT'S the last day of the month – of the year in fact – and I'll finish in profit in the Super Singles which is always the aims.
Last night it was one from two with Wycombe winning but Everton being held at Hull. I'd considered Everton to score 2+ – which was Greg's main tip – but I went for the win because I didn't see Hull scoring two.
My Top Treble became a single winner on Newcastle but Hearts downed the both teams to score treble and on the night they were poor as they lost to Aberdeen.
I've steadily reduced the accumulator losses and hope to wipe them out today with a couple of wins.
It's another busy one before the Scottish sides break for the winter while the English carry on with a packed festive card.
Hopefully today results go to plan – it's Monday I'd worry about and that's a day for small stakes.
I've posted separate Scottish and English previews with the focus north of the border on the lunchtime derby between Rangers and Celtic.
Kick-offs are 3pm unless stated so check the early ones. Good luck with all of your bets and have a Happy New Year.

You take big sexy Erik midweek?? I actually placed my bets £7.50 on anytime, 1st last and to score 2+ the early hrs of match day but for the old firm, skint cos xmas or would’ve done same bets, gutted like ?
You must have admired the Celtic fan with the first-scorer double on Van Dijk and Sviatchenko in midweek.
Won my Line of the Week prize too and has his £50 prize on 3-1 Celtic.

Morning gents,
Some big games tomorrow alright…
The Old Firm Clash North of the border will take centre stage and there’s folk far better equipped than I to preview that…I like Chris Guy’s 11/4 penalty shout and the beers are on Alves when his Sviatchenko brace comes in ?
Down in England, all eyes will be on Anfield for the late kick off as they entertain Man City…
Neither Klopp nor Guardiola seem to prioritise defence rather than attack and though its great for the neutral, come the season-end, you can’t help but think both managers might rue the fact they didn’t emulate Conti’s more measured and ruthless tactics!
Still, it ought to make for a decent spectacle tomorrow and whilst BTTS looks great, there’s no value at all. Instead, I’ll up the risk and lower the stake with 2 selections:
BTTS 1ST HALF…11/4
??
BTTS BOTH HALVES…9/1
?
****************************
I put up a post last week re West Ham’s visit to Leicester and though I can’t be mithered going through it again, the upshot was that I worry for Leicester fans at the minute and can see The Hammers capitalising on their shaky confidence and form as pressure and reality mount on Ranieri and his team.
WET HAM OVER 1.5 TGS…2/1 (now 7/4)
??
****************************
CHELSEA VS. STOKE – Stoke can’t be looking forward to this one!
Chelsea have clicked into gear these last couple of months and will want to end the initial part of the campaign on a high – with Costa and Kante back from suspension, Stoke might just find themselves having another arsehole torn as a ‘Welcome to 2017’ present.
CHELSEA OVER 2.5 TGS…6/5
???
****************************
If I had to design a competition prize for someone I really didn’t like, I’d send the winners on a 2 day Northern Seaside Spectacular – they’d spend Day 1 in Grimsby followed by Day 2 in Blackpool. Whilst they were there they could take in tomorrow’s game!
The only highlight apart from boarded up shops and vomit would be a chance to see my favourite League Two striker -Omar Bogle – in action.
The main man has (like both the above towns) been off the radar of late, but I’m backing him to make a mark tomorrow.
OMAR BOGLE ATGS…6/4
****************************
Best of luck with all bets and hope 2017 brings health and happiness in equal measure…along with plenty of chances to pull the bookies pants down ?
Like the tips just hope no one from the Blackpool tourist board is reading.
Never been to Grimsby and never watched the film either but most Scots have fond memories of trips to Blackpool as kids.
Haha – all meant with tongue firmly planted in cheek…growing up in Manchester, Blackpool was our destination of choice every summer for years…fond memories and someone was telling me the other day, they have done all the sea front/beaches out to be fair – wouldn’t want a beach holiday in Grimsby mind ?
Lived in Scarborough for a while and that was a massive destination for Scots every year seem to remember?
Yeah been to Scarborough too but Blackpool was the No.1 choice.
**don’t know who the f*ck
‘Wet Ham’ are ??
Maybe its a subliminal message to tell me I’ve had to many post-christmas buffets ?
Lol @ Blackpool. Last time I went was a stag do about 12 years ago, I was the only guy out of the party that never slept in his own bed that night. Good times.
After yesterday’s win… I’ve got a bit of confidence to offer another tip on my own league… (here’s hoping I don’t land flat on my face!)
Central Coast plays Melbourne City today, in the only match of the day in the A-League. Everything in this match points firmly towards an away win, with Mariners being horrid so far in the 16/17 season; with only a solitary win at home, and 4 losses… and the dubious honour of the home side having the worst defence in the league. The odds also reflect the strong likelihood of the away win.
Melbourne City – score both halves…1.90 (3pt)
Tim Cahill – ATGS… 2.50 (2pt)
Bruno Fornaroli – score 2 or more goals… 3.40 (2pt)
(Bet365)
Hope everyone has a wonderful New Year’s! :)
Great write-up Obi and well done with yesterday’s pick…for some reason, I’ve the hoodoo on Australian picks so will leave yours and hopefully not jinx it!
Good luck pal ?
Thanks Hull, appreciate the kind comment. I’ve been lurking on this site for months, and only offered a couple of comments to date, and a couple of tips. Whilst I do consider that I know the A-League like the back of my hand, it’s sometimes a bit daunting to offer tips… when this seems to be the site that has the best group of tipsters I’ve ever seen all in one place. I don’t want to look like a complete twit… looking like a partial twit is completely okay though, so I’ll aim for that. ;)
Best of luck with your tips too mate, I’m all over those (as per usual).
So long as fornaroli is banned from taking any more penalties ;)
theres your cahill and melbourne first half goal!! well tipped mate!
Thanks guys. :)
Melbourne City – score both halves…1.90 (3pt) WON
Tim Cahill – ATGS… 2.50 (2pt) WON
Bruno Fornaroli – score 2 or more goals… 3.40 (2pt) LOSS
Bruno did score the penalty this time, but couldn’t nick himself a brace. Certainly a surprise FT result with 2-2, but there was never value in the result, only in the goals and corners markets (which I was toying with the idea of backing).
Still… as the big fella Meat Loaf once said “2 out of 3 ain’t bad”.
That ends my month after 4 tips @ +8.5 points. After the kind words from you goodly folks, you’ve given me the nudge to start putting tips up on here moving forwards from 2017. Have a good one all!
Wasn’t up in time to tip it but I backed City over 6.5 corners and over 1.5 team goals dbl. I know you’ll know the league better than me but for city games that bet is always worth a shout. They do love a corner and a goal
Today’s selection is an 8/1 shot which will hopefully pay for my night out bringing in the bells.
Possibly will place a double approx even money in the morning.
Rangers v Celtic O2.5
Liverpool v Man City O2.5 BTTS
West Ham to score
Chelsea over 1.5 goals
Melbourne City
8/1
I am about to head to sleep for a few hours to then wake up and venture to Ibrox.
It’s a strange feeling I’ve got this now, I know it’s an old firm game in 9 hours time but I am not even excited. Probably when I wake up the butterflies will start, if not then certainly when I walk inside the stadium. My excitement is subdued as we are not at Celtics level and I fear another beating but this time in our own back yard. The only positives we can take going into the game is we recently bossed hearts/Aberdeen at home and our home record under Warburton has been brilliant.
We shall see, one thing for certain there should be goals.
Hopefully I will be going into the bells raising my glass to a win and 3pts closer to Celtic in the title race……
All the best when it comes gents.
@hullshaker
I was in blackpool yesterday for a funeral. It is as you describe.
It’s actually my home town. Left 10 years ago.
Fun fact – blackpool has the lowest life expectancy in the country
Fun fact 2 – I was for a short time, Omar Bogle’s teacher. (He went to school in the midlands).
Good luck with your bets
Yay, Dom! Where have you been hiding? You’ve not had a go on my bets have you?
Only joking.
Remember you saying before you had taught Bogle.
Yep, lot of problems if you head off the main strips in Blackpool – now overtaken Hull and Boro with the most deprived (depraved) wards in England.
Take care mate and all the best
Away before 8am today for old firm game so sticking this up just now

Best of luck all & all the best for the new year when it comes in case I’m in no fit state to post later
CCM vs Melbourne city
As we have seen over the season so far CCM are the whipping boys of this league and I can’t see the manager changing his tactics to change that so yes today I see goals again. The last two between these two have seen 11 goals. Surprisingly Fornaroli has played in both of those and his goal return is only one so I am going to look in other areas for goals as well.
Over 3.5 mtgs 11/10
Goal after 77.59
Over 1.5 second half goals 8/13
Anytime goalscorer
Fornaroli 4/7
Chill 6/4
Brandan 13/8
Logshots
Fornaroli 2+ goals 12/5
Cahill 2+ goals 8/1
Brandan 2+ 9/1
Over 4.5 mgs 5/2
I’m going for Fornaroli to bag 2
Brandan received a red last game and is out. Noticed that 365 are offering player markets on him, but he is not able to feature here. Looks like we’re on similar tips as the ones I listed above. Hopefully it’s a case of great minds think alike. Best of luck kierons!
That’s a good shout mate forgot about that, I just remembered him hiding next to Bruno hoping not to get noticed by the ref. I’d stay away from Kamu as I don’t really rate him he is lacking end product. But Bruno and cahill against this weak defence can easily bag two.
My atgs in the oz league have been pretty good recently so fingers crossed
What looked like it was gonna be a poor day in Oz turned out okay.
Over 3.5 mtgs 11/10 win
Goal after 77.59 win
Over 1.5 second half goals 8/13 win
Anytime goalscorer
Fornaroli 4/7 win
Chill 6/4 win
Brandan 13/8 void
None of the longshots came in but overall a good start to the day
Cahil AGS 6/4
Cahill FGS 6/1
Both Won!!
First post on here, I’ve been following the various tipsters for 18 months and enjoyed some great advice
My main Saturday bet is always a BTTS double and then a double on Desmond’s 2-2s. I’m going to post my own double as well.
BTTS Double
Leicester
Preston
Best of luck to all
By the looks of people’s comments on here and in the media this week on the Rangers game there’s no point in us turning up as its already foregone conclusion. In big games at Ibrox under Warburton we have managed to put in some big performances. I’m expecting the same today, whether that will be enough remains to be seen.
I’ll be going for Barry McKay anytime today. He’s been in really good form this month and managed a couple of goals. He also scored against Celtic at Hampden in April.
McKay anytime 15/4 William Hill
Hope your right mate watp
A long shot for fun today
Huddersfield
Barnsley
Derby
Wolves
Fleetwood
Peterborough
All to win pays 40/1
Nice one obi wan and nate pesh!
Central Coast Mariners to score in the second half
19/20 (Bet365)
The Mariners looked the better side before Cahill struck, and I fancy them to bag one in the second half. Although they look as though they intentionally do not want to score on occasion, they have bagged a goal in each of their last 3 home matches, and City have conceded in every away game so far.
*WON*
City cannot defend for toffee.
Anything from Desmond today?????
Waiting for his tips – he was out on the lash last night.
Cheers Mr F,,,Got them now ???
Got a free fiver bet with sky ,so i am going for Tavernier and Lustiq both to be carded 12/1
I am also on Carl McHugh to score anytime for Motherwell 9/1 bet365.
seeing as goals seem to have largely dried up recently in the EFL i’m looking to the ryman league this afternoon
i’m hoping goals look likely at several of them and have picked this six fold
sudbury v canvey island 4/7 – stats show 7/8 home team and 5/6 away team overs
harrow borough v lowestoft 4/6 -both teams rarely fail to score, prob away win
folkestone v grays 8/13 – home team like to score, grays conceded 7 in last two but scored in previous six
staines v hendon 8/13 – both teams just love overs
leiston v enfield 4/7 – again both sides mental for goals scored and conceded!
harlow v leatherhead 8/11 – ditto
six fold pays over 17/1 but can see all the games today going over so gonna do that too 263/1!
also agree with goals at rangers and liverpool, plus probably bristol rovers, chelsea, clyde, man u, brentford, plymouth
daft aways
exeter
cambridge

@mr-fixit unless I’m mistaken or misread, your preview about Southend in the English footie said they’re playing Northampton. Sheff Utd are playing Northampton @ 1pm.
Yeah it’s just a typo.
Nice 1 obi wan?
Missed Cahill but managed atgs Fornaroli
Been following site for a few weeks now & may I add I’m a very low stakes guy & usually hopeless too.. Own balance is over the 50 mark which is unheard of for me, thanks to a mix of you guys on here. Going to sit back & enjoy the Old Firm match with a few small stake bets. Keep up the good work guys/gals. Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year to all?
As a Man City fan I am fearing tonight, we’ve not won at anfield since 2003 and I cannot see this changing, Liverpool look a knocking bet at 7/5 and for more value I’m on Liverpool win btts at 11/4 and Liverpool win over 2.5 goals at 11/5. Liverpool over 2.5 team goals at 3/1 and I’ve 3.5 team goals at 9/1 are worth a look too. City cannot defend and bravo inspires zero confidence, id imagine the centre half pairing will be otamendi and kolarov which is scary against the Liverpool attack
If i were a man city fan i would be fearing tonight also.
Corners corners corners Celtics most corners is evens .Easy super single the Gers will be pinned back.
Morning gents
It’s debry day in Scotland and the match everyone had been waiting for . . . . Dundee v St Johnstone ?
I’ll be at Dens whilst my main bet comes from the Highlands
Ross County v Inverness
The highlanders meet in Dingwall and BTTS has been a key feature of county’s home matches and this is a fixtures that has a history of goals! 7 of the last 10 have gone over 2.5 with the last 5 here seeing at least 3
Back over 2.5 goals 6/5 (Betfair) (NAP)
Enjoy the game. Off to watch Rangers v Celtic before working on the Sunday Mail.
Good luck to everyone with all their bets today.

ORIENT v CAMBRIDGE
CAMBRIDGE goal before 54 mins 5/6.
CAMBRIDGE over 1.5 TGS 11/8.
CAMBRIDGE h/t 2/1.
Summary:
Similar stats to my yesterday tip ROCHDALE, Cambridge have recently put together a tremendous run on their travels. Stats also suggest they tend to score reasonably quickly and lead at H/t. Orient have been extremely poor this season, a clueless owner, managerial changes and injuries certainly haven’t helped! Their team consists of much youth, and although they’ve won their last two home games, I believe CAMBRIDGE will prove too strong a opposition today!
Hi gents. On mobile so have to be quick. Hopefully end the year with a winner, but it won’t matter if not. Profit over 12 months is something a minority of punters achieve so I’ll take it. All done infront of your eyes.

OVER 1.5 FHG 6/4.
Summary:
Tough trip today for Crawley! Their knack of conceding first half goals is unbelievable, not 1, but 2’s and 3’s on a more than regular basis! That’s my basis for this game! PLYMOUTH like a goal or two, hoping trend continues today!
12/1 winner Tavernier and Lustiq both carded a free £ 5.00 from sky double sweet.
Nice one. Called it pretty much as it went – off to work to help fill tomorrow’s paper.
Just did a big write up on Derby, somehow for the 2nd time today it’s not posted it.
I’ll summarise:
1 change – enforced at left back Anya in for injured Olsson.
Martin may return, Derby have offered a new contract.
Last game at the Ipro, it reverts back to its proper name Pride park tomorrow.
Derby have the 2nd tightest defence in the championship, not conceding at home in the last 7. BUT 4th worst goalscoring in the league. So low scoring matches.
recommended bet all day long at a straight win 11/20 ( its fallen from 4/7 )
for the brave, a win to nil is likely to deliver but price has dropped from 11/8 to just 5/4.
Unders 2.5 tmg’s is only 3/5. That is likely too.
Happy new year everyone, hope someone on here busts the bank sometime over the next 12 months.
