I FELT a huge sense of relief as my alternative Super Single won at 6-4 to end a losing run of five.
After several days of weird results it went to plan on Tuesday as Championship favourites Derby and Ipswich notched convincing wins against Leeds and Charlton respectively.
I was so confident about the duo I put up a 5pts Super Single/Daily Double so was happy to end 2014 on a winning note.
There are a couple of games on Wednesday but I'm not spending time on research when there is so much to consider for New Year's Day. Anyone who wishes to advise on games such as those in Turkey is welcome to do so.
So I'll wish everyone a Happy New Year when it comes and let's make 2015 a winning one.
I'd also like to thank everyone for their comments and tips and we ended the year with our busiest ever month as the site continues to grow.

Aberdeen v Perth St Johnstone KO 3pm
The leagues two form teams meet in what is the match of the day in the SPL! We’re on a great run at the moment DWDWWWWW and the bookies managed to lure punters in by having both ICT and Unites as favorites for our last two games! The run should surely see Sir Tommy Wright win manager of the month but knowing scottish football they’ll Probably give it to McInnes. In fairness though, Aberdeen themselves are in a great run and have propelled themselves to 2nd top! A win on Thursday would see them go top for a few hours as at least! I was on Absedeen to win at ICT by a close margin, and thats what they have done all season , shut the other team out whilst grabbing a goal! They’ve kept 7 clean sheets in there last 9 league games but have players in Pawlett, Rooney and McGinn who are a real threat going forward! With it being new year and the chance to go top a bumber crowd is expected! They usually average around 11,500 but there could be 16,000 on Thursday! This will either work for them or go against them! Matches between the sides at Aberdeen have been tight affairs and I expect the same again! As always all good things must come to end! To go 8 games unbeaten with 6 wins on the spin is a fantastic achievement for St Johnstone but I have a feeling that run will come to end on Thursday, albeit, by the odd goal! Confidence is high in both camps but with Aberdeen being at home, big crowd, their strength in defence and the opportunity to go top, I think they’ll nick this one!

My knowledge of any league other than the English championship is sparse and research/legwork can be key to swinging the wins in favour of us punters.
Theres no better way of learning about a team than from ones own fans.
Do you think Aberdeen can handle the weight of expectation? Are the team scraping results or winning with ease? Is the squad up to full strength, whats the head to heads between the two? any history between the two? Any ex St Johnstone players in the starting Aberdeen line-up? Does this tie typically get messy? How good is the ref?
Hopefully this past week I have earned a bit of kudos and a put a few quid in peoples pockets, and I know what it takes to put in a decent write-up, so the more info we get the better chance we have of finding that elusive winner.
Also, and most importantly, we all want our own team to do well, but make sure you bet with your brain and not your heart. If you’re not sure, or you have an inkling of a doubt, then please warn us, any element of the game.
I shall have a good look over this next day or two and see if I can roll my winnings onto something that has a great chance of landing.
No disrespect intended either if that’s how I have come across, but I shall look into this more, see if I can dig out some interesting stats. ( I like a mixture of form/and stats ).

I never did it for affect, sometimes people put up tips without explaining why, the devil is in the detail and helping out and pitching in with some info that some not so informed punters may have overlooked may be the difference between taking the tip and/or avoiding.

Nathan, Aberdeen never played St Johnstone 3 weeks ago. We last played them on the 3rd week of the season and got beat 1-0. Both teams are on a great run, but Aberdeen have had 8 clean sheets in their last nine games and haven’t conceded in the league for around 450 mins. We’re creating loads of chances right now but just not taking them. I said before the Inverness game it’s only a matter of time before someone gets a doing.
We’re actually a better team away from home as the onus is on the home team to come out and play and that suits our style of play. At home if a team sits in and keeps it right we’ve struggled to break them down even though we have the majority of possession. I dont think that will be the case tomorrow as I think St Johnstone will come up to try and play football.
This season even when we haven’t played well we’ve managed to grind out results which is something we wouldn’t have managed to do over the last couple of seasons.
The club is on the up after recently becoming debt free and 4 first team regulars have signed lengthy extensions over the past couple of weeks. It’s a long time since there’s been such a good feeling about the club in the city and there is a genuine feeling we could be on the verge of seeing something special starting.
Another point to bear in mind is we can go top of the league, all be it for a couple of hours if we win so the incentive is certainly there. I also expect there to be a big crowd crowd as there’s been approx 2000 sold in the last 48 hrs.

With regards to the £50 free bet i always go for a goalscorer or attempt a guess at the final score. Much more fun when watching the match in question. There isn’t a way that I can see to guarantee a cover above what’s built in anyway however I am looking at the 3 trebles to build in the Cover’s opponent ( last night sheff wed for instance ) to win at the moment.
We’ve been picking from a poor and limited card the last few days so the pics have not been easy so from tomorrow it should yield more success.
We will have a better quality of banker to choose from (team a) and NB (team b) plus the evens cover will be the SS from Mr F which we didn’t have yesterday as it was a 2 team double.
Keep the faith and with a much stronger card starting tomorrow this should start to kick on a bit.

The way you place your Bet 365 bet is the exact way i do it every time. Over 0.5 and cover 0-0 with Betfred. (9/1 tomorrow) But ‘No goalscorer’ is 10/1. The refund with Bet Fred if it finishes 1-1 only applies to correct score losing bets though doesn’t it? And would not be refunded on ‘No Goalscorer’.
Anyway, over 0.5 and 0-0 cover/No goalscorer and then go big odds on in-play is the way to go for me too. I’ve won big before and for a free fifty bet for cost of a pound or two its worth looking for that big winner.

I’ve been to all home celtic games and watched all others on telly. And the difference in the last few games even in Europe is down to lustig and denayer being injured and Ambrose and Matthews being in the team. Lustig is probably one of celtics most valuable and talented players and denayer was beginning to really impress me. And IMO Ambrose and Matthews are two of the worst players we have, I’m sure they will win against Patrick tomo though, not often go 3 games without a win. When those two players come back into the side though I think we will see a much improved celtic. Anyway happy new year all

At home they are especially strong having lost just once ( could be the artificial pitch) 17 points seperate these two and I can only assume that’s what the bookies have based this on! 4/6 for me is way to short a price for Hamilton! I’m certain the bookies do this purposely to try and lure punters in in thinking Hamilton are a strong favourite! I disgree and feel their is a value in siding with Motherwell!! Confidance has been restored and they are unbeaten in their last 6 away matches against Hamilton! 17/4 is a massive price but like Boxing Day, I’m taking Motherwell not to lose!
