Poor night at the office, Raptors killed me after Cavs and Hornets winning by over 5. Raptors only came alive in the 4th quarter, disappointing as one of the best team on the road against one of the poorest teams in the NBA. In saying that Raptors have traveled a bit over the last week.

When you look at Rockets last 4 losses they were against Grizzlies, Spurs, Jazz and Raptors… who all have a solid defence, Clips are ranked 8th in oppg and 6th in defence efficiency.

Basing this bet on Lyon’s home form even though they are several places below Bordeux in the league. Lyon convincingly beat Newcastle Falcons and Toulon at home which is no mean feat. Bordeux have a couple of away wins this season, recently v Exeter Chiefs but it is the strong home form of Lyon which has value here.

This should be a try spectacular with both teams liking to play open expansive rugby. I expext Wasps to do the job here but not without conceeding a few against an improving Newcastle. They won both their last two home matches with 48 and 38 points on the board versus Lyon and Harlequins. Wasps are a different prospect but do tend to concede a few. They have conceeded this total on 7 out of 9 away matches. Newcastle have gone over this total 6 out of 8 home matches.

Sorry not much time for a write up again on this afternoon’s action but to be brief Peter Wright should have too much for Wade with his high scoring, including a lot of 140’s and consistent finishing. Anderson has dropped two sets at this stage before and someone like Chisnall who brings power scoring to the table will always have a chance to register a couple of sets especially on his throw.
Chisnall has already hit twelve max’s in fewer set’s so he should meet his target. As matches progress he usually begins to find his range more on them.

@raoul-duke the more I look at it and with your reasoning I’m liking that match up even more ..surely not 5 losses in a row for the clippers..they will be defending harder in this match up – find a way to limit Houston from taking loads of 3 point attempt..I think de Andre Jordan will have interesting matchup against nene-imo I think Dj will over power him…but with CP3 bk Dj should be able to add more baskets in offence and we all know he rebounds like a monster.. be interesting to see the lines for CP3 assists and DJ points&rebounds..think DJ will be forced on the free throw line a few times tonight too ?…

Plenty of college football action today with a big one in particular between Florida State and Michigan kicking off at 1am.
For those who are interested, I would recommend backing the underdogs on spread and taking the under on points in singles, doubles, what have you. The reasoning for this may be hard to swallow for some, however, as of this morning, in the bowl games that have already taken place (28 games) ‘Dogs have covered 21 times. That is close enough to 75% of the matches. Under have come in 17 times in 28, which works out to be around 60%. I took this approach yesterday and went 2-1 respectively in both the spread and the totals.
Just a heads up for anyone looking to bet for interest.

MVG averaged 105 and 104 in his earlier round victories over Reyes and D.Webster respectively. So far in this afternoon’s quarter finals we have seen three averages posted (two 104’s & a 105) that are higher than the required ask of a 103. The relentless nature of Van Gerwen’s game including the copious amounts of 140’s and the excellent use of switches down to the 19’s means he nearly always ends on a ton plus average and tonight should be no different.
Both Taylor and Barney have taken out high ton plus finishes in this year’s tournament with Barney nailing a 156 against Robbie Green and Taylor a 167 against Kevin Painter. The new extended length of the matches means there are more opportunities for certain things to happen and in a match that could require most of the sets, there is a decent chance that both will be forced to and will check out a 120+.
Taylor hit eight 180’s in his 4-2 win over Huybrechts. With the increased match length of the quarter final stage he should be able to meet his target of nine max’s.
