I CALLED all four Scottish games correctly on Wednesday night but one English tip cost me my Top Treble.

The Super Single won thanks to both to score at St Johnstone v Rangers but the double chance treble of St Johnstone, Motherwell and Southampton crashed with a red card for Saints aiding their downfall as Spurs ran away with it – and well done to HullShaker who tipped over 1.5 Spurs team goals.

It was a good night all round with members bet and daily double app bet winning and my advised bets on the Scottish preview all coming in.

Greg's nap was a loser but for once he'd be happy after tipping Rangers to beat his St Johnstone side.

After last night's thrills and spills in the Scottish Premiership we have a quiet night before the festive madness returns.

There are two games in the English Championship with Aston Villa v Leeds the standout and Rotherham taking on Burton. I'll check team news in the morning before making a call on them.

Elsewhere there are lower-league Italian games and Portuguese Cup ties and while it could be a no-bet day I've decided to risk 1pt on both to score in the two Championship games. If nothing else it will give me something to keep an eye on tonight and stats suggest all four sides can hit the target.

Was just about to place the bet and noticed McBookie are offering the double at 3-1 (max stake £20).

Remember to check out WeLoveBetting for their tips and video chat.

Crazy, crazy bet. My first thought was it could be Chris Guy who always backed Van Dijk to score first at Celtic until the prices shortened and who has been backing Sviatchenko to score first almost every game.
His kind of bet and his kind of stakes but not him.
It’s a Scots lad from Bonnybridge and he’s been in touch with us via Twitter.
I’ve advised him to enter my Line of the Week contest in the Daily Record – that’s another sure-fire winner.

    Morning gents,

Some belting winners on the site yesterday from the usual suspects and I’m hoping to extend the winning run with 8 of my last 8 selections coming up trumps.

Inevitable that it will come to an end at some point and although Thursday’s card isn’t jam-packed full of obvious bets, there may well be some fun to be had in the Frozen North.

I’ve gone through the lower league card including Macc Town’s cup replay against Altrincham and for one reason or other, have found something to put me off all games but one…

    WARRINGTON TOWN VS. SPENNYMOOR TOWN:

Warrington’s last 6 home games have seen both teams finding the net and whilst Spennymoor are arguably the better side, they have shown time and time again that they are susceptible to conceding goals even from a strong position.

This holds true when looking at their ‘away days’ in particular – they have scored and conceded in 6 of their last 8 matches on the road.

2016 has seen the sides meet up twice – once in April and again in August – both at Spenny’s North Eastern residence with scorelines of 4-1 and 2-3.

    Two selections to consider:

    BTTS…4/7
    ?????

    OVER 3.5 MGS…17/10
    ???

(No market for ‘BTTS & OVERS’ as yet but If it does appear, I’d suggest it would be around the 6/5 mark – if it is, I’ll be on that!)

Best of luck with all bets today ?

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Good write-up – hope it lands for you.

    • sean567 7 years ago

What site is that on hull, can’t even get btts market on bet 365. Best they will do is over 2.5 mgs at 29/40

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

Coral sean – people don’t seem to like them but they don’t half cover some matches and markets.

As a rule, if you find a game where 365 do their basic 18 markets, Coral will have an average 46 markets, almost always including goals up to Over 5.5 and 1st/2nd half markets.

They have their downsides (site is incredibly slow and cash-out is rotten) but I use them a great deal.

Also in my good books as gave me a £50 free bet this week ?

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Don’t know how the proposed Ladbrokes-Coral merger will affect things but may speed up the website.

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

Interesting times indeed Mr F – was never a fan of Laddies…believe Coral shop staff are treated pretty well by senior management so hope that doesn’t change…many treated like dogs with other chains – I hear Bet Fred are the worst.

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

      I can’t comment on that as I don’t have a local Betfred.
I know shop staff are pretty low paid in general so I try always to treat them with respect and give them a little cut of any winnings.
When odds are cut it’s not their fault and that’s the biggest complaint as far as I can see.
My local shops are William Hill and Ladbrokes and the staff are good, especially in Ladbrokes.
It’s a better shop all round because it has Sky and Hills don’t so it means people hang about longer when matches are on.

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

You’re dead right with shop staff…
always pays to look after them – its often a shitty job with low pay!

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Yeah and shops are open much longer because of the FOBS.
Girl in my local Ladbrokes had to open shop at 8am on Boxing Day and said there were no punters till about 10.

    • sean567 7 years ago

Cheers hull, I managed to find it no bother on skybet. Wouldn’t let me do the btts/over 3.5 as a double, so just the over 3.5 it is

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

      Best of luck Sean ?

  7. HullShaker 7 years ago

    ASTON VILLA VS. LEEDS UNITED:

Was going to leave this out but have had a fair bit of free ‘study’ time tonight and, as a result, have come away more confident than I’d originally thought regarding Leeds’ visit to Villa Park.

Villa themselves are the only Championship side undefeated at home and, looking for a 6th successive home win, was the main reason that I was initially put off.

    But…

Leeds are certainly putting something together at the minute and I know a few die-hard Leeds fans who are as bouyant as I’ve seen them in years.

Away form will need to be key to break down Bruce’s boys and perhaps Leeds are the team they wouldn’t want to face at present with a win and score rate higher on the road than it is at Elland Road!

Roofe is beginning to grow in popularity after his summer move and might be worth a shout having already made his mark on December with 2 goals showing reliance on Woods’ goals aren’t essential.

So, Villa certainly ought to find the net but with Leeds pressing for a 3rd spot as we head into the New Year we could have a late Christmas cracker on our hands – just shy of 75% of games at Villa Park have seen BTTS and it’s a shout I really fancy…

    BTTS…21/20
    ???

    ROOFE ATGS…10/3
    ??

Double up with the Spennymoor selection and you’ve a BTTS double paying 2.22/1

    ?

    Rham v burton btts/o2.5

    4.2/1 bet 365

    • sean567 7 years ago

Absolutely no recent form suggests btts/over 2.5 in villa- Leeds whatsoever, so I think they are due 1.
Rotherham- burton however suggests goals goals goals. In Rotherhams last 20 matches both teams have scored in 13 of them and overs has happened 15 times. In burtons last 20 games btts has happened 9 times and overs 7 times. Not amazing stats for them but much more recent form has seen btts in 5 out their last 6 and overs in 4 of those games

  15. wasclueless 7 years ago

    Tomorrow
3 good looking ties in the Welsh Premier League tomorrow – once again a “form” guide is available as they all played each other on Boxing Day – Also TNS look to take the out right world record of consecutive competitive wins from Ajax ….
    Cefn Druids v TNS 0-4
    Airbus v Connahs Quay 0-3
    Bala v Rhyl 6-1
Hopefully 365 will open up more markets later …

    • sean567 7 years ago

I’m afraid East Kilbride have already beaten ajaxs world record earlier on this season mate ??
Maybe not recognised by all, but certainly by Ajax who sent them over a van load of beer and a specially recorded message from Edwin van der sar congratulating them on doing so

    • wasclueless 7 years ago

Ajax and Van der Sar may have recognised it but the Guinness World Records don’t ……..

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

It’s not recognised because it wasn’t not in senior football. Great achievement by Kilby but throughout the world there will be loads of semi-pro and amateur teams who have done it.
Ajax’s reaction though was a touch of class.

Did you guys read about this lucky git??

    https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/perfect-timing-footie-fan-cashes-110714031.html

Also, just a little heads up on Derby. With Forsyth out all season and his understudy Max Lowe also injured, Derby have been fielding their third choice left back Olsson. Well he limped off with barely 10 minutes on the clock with a suspected hamstring issue. Derby then put Anya in that position – no idea what the reasoning behind it was since Anya is an attacker, I’m assuming McClaren thought he could become a bespoke wing back. Anyway, we grabbed our 7th cleansheet on the bounce on home turf. That’s now the highest in the world. Kaiserslautern and FC Copenhagen and an Iranian team are on 6, but with no immediate games in Denmark and Germany for those 2 to increase it.

The last game against Birmingham was another ” a bit stuck in the mud ” game. No team really dominating. Dare I say it but we’ve become a bit ” Bournmouth “. – meaning we’ve managed to find a win from a tight uneventful game that would otherwise of been level pegging. I don’t know a manager in the business who would turn down a narrow win week in week out at the expense of end to end 90 mins of football.

With Wigan coming knocking in 2 days time, if we can sort out the left back position, we may be looking at another home cleansheet, quite probably a win, but hopefully a win to nil.

You can be sure that Mel Morris will have his cheque book ready when the transfer window opens because we need a left back.

Finally, I noticed former Man Utd/Chelsea flop Veron @ 41 years old has just signed a deal pulling him out of retirement to join Argentinian side Estudiantes. At least he’s a freebie – he’ll still be overpriced.

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

I read about the guy who did the cashout and what a great decision it was.
But what a crazy bet – it shows you once a lifetime the daft bet might come up and that’s people do them.
I like the fact it was for £1 – anyone can afford to throw away £1.

  18. bobreaksbookies 7 years ago

    Good afternoon all,

I’ve got 5 previews for the weekend’s fixtures, here is the first of those, with all of my key facts and suggested bets.

If you want more of these, ask mr fixit!

15:00 – Leicester vs West Ham
    Prediction 2.2

    Key Facts
    * Leicester have seen BTTS in 8 of their last 10 PL fixtures. 7 of those 8 also went over 2.5 goals
    * 9 of Leicester’s last home 12 home league fixtures have gone over 2.5 goals
    * Leicester have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals in 5 of their last 6 home fixtures in all competitions (4 PL, 1 CL)
    * 20 goals were scored in those 5 fixtures
    * Leicester have not kept a clean sheet in any of their last 11 league fixtures
    * Leicester have scored in 15 of their last 18 home PL fixtures but not in their most recent fixture, a 2.0 home defeat to Everton
    * Leicester have now lost only 2 of their last 24 home PL fixtures
    * However they have only won 2 of their last 6 at home in the PL
    * Leicester have won only 1 of their last 9 in the PL. That, albeit, a stunning 4.2 win over Man City
    * West Ham have seen BTTS in 8 of their last 10 away PL fixtures. 7 of those also went over 2.5 goals
    * Over the calendar year, the record extends to 14 of their last 18 away PL fixtures – that’s a 78% success rate in the market over the course the last 12 months
    * West Ham have kept only 2 clean sheets in their last 19 away PL fixtures
    * While the Hammers have only failed to score in 1 of their last 15 away PL fixtures!
    * West Ham have conceded 2 goals or more in 11 of their last 15 away PL fixtures including 7 of the last 10
    * West Ham conceded 28 goals in those 15 away games and 20 in their last 10
    * The last 3 league meetings between these two sides saw BTTS and over 2.5 goals
    * Last year’s corresponding fixture finished 2.2 with Leicester scoring an injury time penalty to claim a valuable point on route to their remarkable title triumph

    Final Verdict

Champions Leicester are now in big trouble near the foot of the table following a painful boxing day home defeat to Everton and they will be desperate to bounce back as they welcome a West Ham side that will surely be buoyed by their fine 4.1 win at Swansea earlier in the week.

The hosts really do need a change in their fortunes and I do expect a better performance here with West Ham rarely keeping clean-sheets on the road and although the Hammers claimed 3 points at Swansea, they aren’t the best of travellers with just 2 wins in their last 10 on the road and I expect BTTS here @3/4 with the BTTS and over 2.5 goals combination also looking good and paying @6/5.

It’s hard to pick a winner in this one and I wouldn’t touch the 21/20 on offer for a home win. West Ham are in much the better form but you have to expect some kind of reaction from a Leicester side that almost always scores.

The Hammers have seen more than 3 quarters of all their away league fixtures in the last 12 months ending up with BTTS and over 2.5 goals and with Leicester struggling defensively, this one should follow the pattern of recent meetings and give us my favourite outcomes of BTTS and over 2.5 goals.

    Best Bets
    BTTS @ 3/4
    Over 2.5 goals @4/5
BTTS and over 2.5 goals @6/5

@anasewhiz sorry only just seeing this now. I tend to avoid cup games but Portuguese games are usually pretty good for this market. Fidelis Andria away games show 78% ending within 2-3 goals so has every chance also. Best of luck mate.

Last night Rangers single lost and had Rangers 6 or more corners doubled up with Spurs 5 or more corners. Spurs strolled in at half time, normally 6 Rangers corners would be in by half time but in total only managed 5 in the full match.
Very dissapointed, always tougher to take when it’s your own team.

Looking ahead to Saturday, the only positive I can take is our home record under Warburton has been impeccable. We are in the poor form over the festive period, I can only hope, cross my fingers and toes we can get a result to end the year with.

Football is killing me at the moment, have a decent winner then a couple of losses!
NBA is keeping me turning over a profit, but I like a punt on the football so back I go for more today.

    Tomorrow Morning
    Sydney v Roar BTTS 4/5
Both teams in decent form. Sydney are unbeaten this season and have only conceded 5 goals … hence the odds for BTTS in an A league game … however Roar are decent and have goal scorers like Jamie McLaren in good form. Will take the odds and see if they can net having managed 7 goals in the last 3 H2Hs

With the Warrington Vs. Spennymoor game off, it was all eyes on Villa Park for me…

    BTTS…21/20
    ???

    ***WON***

9 out of 9 winners but no 10th as Roofe fails to score…not grumbling mind ?

Evening gents – didn’t post today but well done to Mr F – Hullshaker and all the other winners

13 UK games to get stuck into tomorrow + a full Seria B card

Initial thoughts are bookings in the Hearts v Aberdeen game

Been 51 cards in the last 9 meetings ( 5.6 per match ) – there’s no love lost between these two and it should be another firey affair under the floodlights at a sold out Tyncastle

Everton also look good to build on their Boxing Day win at Leicester, will either be to win or two score 2

Will post in the morning once I’ve looked at the other game

  72. kelly.d 7 years ago

as far as im concerned anyone who moves is just after a nice little retirement fund or purely motivated by money. if it was a popular league (ie. premiership, la liga seria a etc…) then fair enough but its the type of thing that could ruin football if it was to catch on

  73. nathanl 7 years ago

Been waiting for new thread but will just repost these tomorrow!

    Tomorrow….

    Main bet

    •Everton draw no bet
    •Newcastle over 1.5 team goals
•Reading vs Fulham Both teams to score and over 2.5 match goals

    2 units at odds of — 4.04

    ———————————-

    Longshot

    •Everton Win
    •Newcastle over 1.5 team goals
•Reading vs Fulham both teams to score and over 2.5 match goals
    • Hearts vs Aberdeen both teams to score and over 2.5 match goals

    0.5 units at odds of — 11.83

  74. HullShaker 7 years ago

    Morning gents,

It’s been a great few days for the site – I’ve a bit of time off at the
minute and seems like every time I check in there is someone posting winners…long may it continue into the New Year!

Friday brings a fairly decent card although I’d assume some of the lower league and lesser protected grounds may suffer from ‘pitchus frozenari’ (made that up ?) as my NPL game did last night.

Let’s start in Wales. I’m not going to write in-depth (though I have looked in detail) for the very reason that it’ll be a bloody waste of time if called off – so apologies for lack of reasoning!

All 3 games look to have goals:

    DRUIDS VS. TNS
    CONNAHS QUAY VS. AIRBUS
    RHYL VS. BALA

    OVER 2.5 MGS TREBLE…1.91/1

    ****************************

I’ve had a really good think about Everton’s visit to Hull and seems to be a lot of pundits tipping the BTTS out there but having watched them play City, I just can’t see them being broken down easily and also – as mentioned – cannot see whose going to tuck their goal(s) away.

For that reason, I’m leaving it and urge others to keep stakes low unless they know something I don’t.

    ****************************

    TEAM GOALS TREBLE:

    NEWCASTLE
    PORTSMOUTH
    ROCHDALE

Newcastle ought to be hitting a minimum of 2 against Forest – plenty of teams have done so already and an element of retribution for their 2-1 reverse must feature; Portsmouth love a goal or 3 on their travels and god have mercy on my soul for backing ‘Dale but they are on a canny run and are scoring for fun of late!

    OVER 1.5 TGS TREBLE…4.16/1

    ****************************

Best of luck with all bets ?

    • nathanl 7 years ago

Totally agree hull, can see an Everton win to nil, 1-0 maybe 2-0

  75. mr boofle 7 years ago

Friday night league 2. Wycombe 13/8 @ William hill away to Cheltenham. Cracking price. They are on a great run just now and came back from 1-3 down to get a point at top of table Plymouth on boxing day. Cheltenham 2nd bottom and really struggling.
