Defending champ Michael van Gerwen is 2-9 against 7-2 shot Terry Jenkins, while Raymond van Barneveld is 2-7 to sink Jamie Caven (3-1) and Vincent van der Voort is 4-7 against 13-8 underdog Max Hopp.
Other top-10 seeds stepping up to the oche are James Wade (4-6) v Stephen Bunting (5-4) and Robert Thornton (1-3) v Benito van de Pas (3-1).

Huggybear, I’m really liking the look of the Kings to win and cover +2.0 at Brooklyn. DeMarcus Cousins is healthy again and after scoring 39 with 11 rebounds against knicks I can see him causing trouble for Nets defense.
I also think Jazz will easily cover +11.5 in a high scoring affair. Jazz perform their best against the big guns & it doesn’t get much bigger than Clippers in L.A.
Also, after looking more I think the Pacers/Bulls game will go UNDER. Pacers are ranked 2nd in defense & most their games go under. They’ll keep it tight and might even cover the +5.5.
There’s my take on the games, you stew over it and decide the NAP ;-) I’ll come up with a treble later as am more confident with today’s card.

Hey fish.After a horror show yesterday with the football I managed to recoup some loses with the darts. Paddypower do a match special of most 180s highest checkout and match win. And I backed Lewis with that bet and it came in. I’m thinking of backing Barney tonight with the same bet most 180/highest checkout/win at 15/8. Barney already finished a 167 and 170 in the first round.

I said against Mervyn King that Max Hopp was a good young player and even though King played injured he was hit by a barrage of 180s. Hopp hit the highest of the round with ten. VVV is a prolific 180 hitter and is in the best form of his PDC career. He 7 maximums against John Henderson and they can cover O11.5 match maximums at 11/10 Betvictor, in a match that should have plenty of legs in it.

Wade v Bunting
I said the other day the Anderson – Klaasen match was the second best match of the round for me, because this is the one I have been looking forward too. Bunting rapid rise through the PDC ranking means he runs into the machine in round two, next year this could be a Quarter final, as Bunting climbs the rankings.
You case make a case for both these guys, Bunting is reigning BDO champion and is looking to make history by winning the PDC title, while Wade is getting close to his best and a return to the premier league is a cert for me. Bunting averaged 90 in his first rounder while Wade was averaged 97. I cant see anyone running away with this and it wouldn’t surprise me if it goes all the way. I will be on O24.5 legs at 1/1 Skybet.
One thing this season Wade as done, he as upped is scoring power, he used to be a strong 140 hitter, but as started hitting the maximums. He had 4 in his last match and looks a bit of value at 11/5 Boyles to hit more than Bunting, as Wade rarely switches, while Bunting sometimes does if is first dart doesn’t go in right. It is worth a small punt for me.
It is a tricky game to call, but I fancy Wade to come through, his constant scoring and his ability to take out big checkouts under pressure I think sees him home. Bunting remember is only making his second appearance on the big stage, and any loose darts or missed doubles will be punished by the machine. Its Wade for me 4/6 Ladbrokes.

As I’ve tipped Doublds though I recommend Huggy’s single to ensure no loss for the day if doubles don’t land. With Huggy’s record there’s as close to a banker that you’re going to get ;-)
