I WAS one goal away from a full house of winners on Thursday – but I had Napoli's injury-time equaliser to thank for a 9pts win on the Top Treble.

Napoli to lose at Fiorentina was added to wins for Braga and Roma for a nice return.

The Super Single was Napoli's Dries Mertens to score and he did to take his tally to eight in three league games.

Two parts of the over 2.5 goals treble won but Espanyol v Alcorcon finished 1-1. Espanyol's goal clinched victory on the members bet and the app Daily Double produced a winning single.

So it was a good night all round and well done to Jordan too as he had one winner and a loser on the Torino match.

Friday's much quieter as we edge towards Christmas Day. There are four Scottish Premiership matches and I'll put up a preview but all are tough to call as the teams are so evenly matched.

Juventus meet AC Milan in the Italian Super Cup in Doha and the champions are hot favourites. Both have taken strong squads with Juve minus injured duo Leonardo Bonucci and Dani Alves while Milan are without Davide Calabria, Riccardo Montolivo and Mati Fernandez.

Having looked at the games I'm risking 1pt on a double chance double – Motherwell not to lose at home to Aberdeen and Guimaraes not to lose at Arouca.

The Motherwell bet is reasoned on the preview while Guimaraes should at least draw at an Arouca side with just six goals at home in seven games although that's earned them 10 points. Vitoria will go level with Sporting in fourth with a win and have serious ambitions of European football.

They are unbeaten in six and haven't lost on three recent trips to Arouca.

Remember to check out WeLoveBetting for their tips and video chat.

Superb work last night Mr F!

Just about on the home straight to Christmas and before the family stuff kicks off (quite literally with the Outlaws ?) just wanted to say a massive thanks to yourself, Paul, and all involved with the running of the site.

It is a pleasure to post and the hard work that goes on behind the scenes is greatly appreciated – seems to me the site has continued to go from strength to strength again this year and long may it continue.

What a great set of lads (and lasses) who give so much to the site and make it the community that sets it apart from others out there.

I hope 2017 brings everyone happiness, health and plenty of moments to give our bookie friends the middle finger!

    Merry Christmas ?

Cheers, site’s doing well considering the limited time myself and others have to put into it.
It’s been a bit calmer thanks to the membership aspect and we have a new feature that might interest the likes of yourself in the New Year.
Thanks for your input and have a good Xmas.

Put up my thoughts on yesterday’s thread regarding the Mexican final Leg One but quite fancy a trip down under for the morning…

BRISBANE ROAR VS. WESTERN SYDNEY WANDERERS (08.15 KO):

These two have met 7 times over the course of the last 2 campaigns and in only one of those matches have both teams failed to score.

More recently, BTTS has landed in 5 out of 6 and 4 out of 6 for our teams respectively.

Also worth taking at crafty peek at Coral’s both teams score and 4+ goals market as this has sailed home in 4 of the last 7 H2Hs.

Three selections to have a look at here – each with a fair shout:

    BTTS & OVER 2.5 MGS…EVENS (365)
    ????

    BTTS & OVER 3.5 MGS…19/10 (Coral)
    ??

    BTTS 1ST HALF…3/1
    ?

    Best of luck ?

  3. Alves 7 years ago

Prices out wi PP, 10/11 for the hoops and 5/2 for rangers. Rangers DNB at 13/8 but don’t be conned by the 1 goal wims for Celtic, Rodgers has been rotating the squad and come 31st it’ll be a fresh starting 11 with Tierney back in the team, sinclair back to 100 % and dembele will probably be given the nod but griff should be given his chance imo, dembele signed because of guaranteed 1st team action so he’ll be given the nod either way with 4 gls in 2 games so far

    • Alves 7 years ago

It’d be mad no to back Sviatchenko tae at double figures anytime (probably) after his goal in semi last season and disallowed gl in league cup this season

  4. HullShaker 7 years ago

CLUB AMERICA VS. TIGRES (03.00 KO):

America miss a penalty on ’27 and heading for a half-time draw but up steps Senor Gignac on the stroke ?

    A-P GIGNAC ATGS…8/5

    ***WON***

    • hampy 7 years ago

well played hull i had tigre draw no bet but cash returned on that one

  5. Alves 7 years ago

    Higuain to score 2+ 13/2 @skybet

  6. HullShaker 7 years ago

    Worth staying up for ?…

CLUB AMERICA VS. TIGRES (03.00 KO):

Leg one of the Liga MX Final (Apertura) here and Tigres last played on the 4th December with Club America playing games on; 5th, 11th, 15th and 18th (the latter 3 in the Club World Cup) so this could well have an impact.

BUT the concensus seems to be it will detrimental to Tigres not America. Tigres were hitting form in the run-in and this lay-off may be hard to get back from as opposed to the hosts who are fresh in terms of match fitness.

Tigres arguably have the better players though and if they can keep this 1st leg tight, it’ll give them the advantage as they enter Leg 2.

Don’t think they’ll be many goals here but if they do come it could well be Andre Pierre Gignac who has been a revelation during his time in Mexico.

    3 selections to consider:

    DRAW…21/10

    ***WON***
    ???

    CORRECT SCORE 0-0…7/1
    ?
    Lost

    A-P GIGNAC ATGS…8/5

    ?? Finished 1-1 ??

    Australia 850
    Brisbane vs wsw
As I’ve mentioned a lot recently Australia is a bit of a goldmine for btts/over 2.5 (there was a full house on the fixture card last week) and today sees another game where that market looks good again. It’s happened 5 times in the last 7 meetings, and also 5 in the last 7 at Brisbane. In those last 7 meetings there have been 28 goals scored (plus 1 in extra time). For the wanderers their last clean sheet was 17 games ago and Brisbane have managed just 5 in their last 20 matches. I see goals today. Main bets are
    Over 2.5/btts 10/11
    Btts 8/13
    The roar over 1.5 8/11
With a small punt on the speculative btts both halves 11/1

    Brisbane v WSW

WSW haven’t kept a clean sheet all season and have patchy form at best whilst Brisbane have had a good recently and sit poised for the challenge in 3rd spot.

Jamie McLaren has scored in his last 4 which includes one against WSW but also has 8 in his last 5 match ups with WSW. Interestly 2 of his last 4 have been penalties….

    Brisbane win 17/20
    Brisbane O 1.5 TGs 8/11
    Maclaren ATGS 5/6
Brisbane to score a peno 6/1

    Good luck :)

Looking ahead to the 26th and surely WYCOMBE @ 11/5 are seriously overpriced. They are on a great run atm winning their last 6 matches conceding just once in those games. They are away to Plymouth who had to go to pens during the week so surely Wycombe will be the fitter of the two.

I’m currently waiting on some prices from the Welsh league but otherwise I’ve already sorted the majority of my Boxing Day punts. Going to post them now to account for any price changes, plus I don’t really fancy spending tomorrow or early Boxing Day going through the card!

There’s a lot to like about the card, I feel, but one team that inevitably sticks out are Fleetwood. Their home form this season has been terrific, and despite regularly notching a goal home or away, the bookies tend to overprice them. It seems it has taken the visit of @hullshaker ‘s Bury side to reduce the odds, but they are still worth a sniff. Fleetwood have won 7 of their 11 home games and average nearly 2 goals a game in doing so. Bury managed to flatten a lot of us when keeping Sheffield United to just the 1-0 loss last month, but have since continued to lose in emphatic fashion.

I’ve doubled up Burnley and Reading to score purely because of their home form. Both do the better of their business in front of their own fans and are, in my eyes, severely overpriced just to nab a goal. I think we all know by now that if Burnley are to stay up, then these are the games they simply have to get points from. Middlesbrough are no mugs and have been reasonably tough to break down this season, but I fancy both sides to go for 3 points here. Norwich are a top side in the division but concede plenty, so there should be a goal there for Reading.

    Fleetwood vs Bury

    Fleetwood Win & O1.5 Match Goals @ 21/20 (Betstars)
    _____________________________________________

    Burnley
    Reading

O0.5 Team Goals Double @ Evens (Boyles)
    ______________________________________________

    Fleetwood
    Dover

    O1.5 Team Goals Double @ 6/4 (Various)

    Add: Boston United

    Treble @ 7/2 (Bet365)
    ________________________________________________

The bets are effectively ordered in degree of confidence (as I usually do). However, my ‘main bet’ is waiting on those Welsh league odds. Unlikely to post again before Christmas unless I can get ahold of those odds today, so Merry Christmas to you all! :)

    • leroy 7 years ago

      Here is the ‘main bet’:

      Man United
      Club Brugge

      O1.5 Team Goals Double @ 4/6 (Various)

      Add: Bala Town

      O1.5 Team Goals Treble @ 6/5 (Coral)

I realise this is a chunk of selections but it meets my 10 points max staking plan per day, though I haven’t marked those. I’ll repost these on Boxing Day, likely with a roll-up acca of all selections when some more bookies get their prices up.

Went against my initial thoughts of avoiding the Club America game for my bank builder and dropped my pot on it for a solitary goal. Nearly cried when Club America’s penalty taker hit the bar. Great to see Tigres get the opener though which bolstered my fund to £133. Then I saw @hullshaker do the summary of the Aussie game. WTF !! An aussie A’ league game so close to xmas. Dropped my pot on over 1.5 tmg’s, no idea’s how the game ended but in my blearly ” I’m still asleep ” state, I logged on with my phone to see my new balance of £166.76. £10 added to my xmas eve beer fund, which means we now get to start drinking at 11pm instead of 11.30pm.

First ever post on here but been following website a while now and have finally decided to sign up, I’m a Norwich fan so will happily share my info on the canaries when needed, in a rough spell atm with manager not knowing his best team and getting tactics wrong on numerous occasions in recent weeks and this has had a negative impact on atmosphere at matches in recent weeks especially the Huddersfield game at home last Friday where we were deservedly beaten by a side who worked much harder throughout the match, star signing Timm Klose last January has not figured for a number of weeks now with a place on the bench been his preferred destination and £8m summer signing Alex Pritchard constantly being in and out of the squad. The only spark recently has been Oliveria who has 3 goals in his last 4 league games. Alex Neil is starting to feel the pressure and with a tough trip to Reading on Boxing Day he is running out of time to turn it around, based on recently head to head btts looks a very good shout with 5 of the last 6 achieving this and combine this with Norwich’s habit of scoring many as well as conceding many I would advise this as my strongest bet

    Reading v Norwich BTTS
    8/11 – Sky Bet

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Welcome and always good to get a fan’s insight into his own team.
I’ve picked btts on my shortlist for Monday and fancy Reading to win.

    • canaryjack97 7 years ago

As much as it pains me to say it I would fancy Reading to win as well however Norwich are hard to predict atm e.g. thrashing Brentford 5-0 a few weeks back so I’m just going to back goals, for a Norwich goal scorer I would back Oliveria who looks a very good player now he’s been given a run of games however this depends on whether he starts over a returning fit Cameron Jerome

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

For me Reading are solid at home and Norwich’s only recent wins have been those two at home.

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

      Welcome CJ

    • nathanufton 7 years ago

Norwich are blowing hot and cold for me, but maybe you can draw a positive from it all. Cast your mind back to that 7 goal drubbing the canaries took at the start of a season, remember how that season ended for you?? You were promoted.
As for star players, Derby spent a fortune on Readings star striker Nick Blackman who had 12 goals to his name by the time we signed him last January, he can’t even get on the subs bench. I agree about Olivieri – he’s quality, but some signings just do not work out. Just be thankful you’re not the guy with the cheque book at old Trafford a few seasons back, they signed a complete spunk trumpet for £18 million, then there’s old boy Darren Bent – 2x transfer moves cost 2 clubs around £40 million and he was left out in the cold. I’m still unsure about his inclusion in the Derby squad but at least we got him on a free.
Something will click in place with the canaries, and maybe Delia Smith has something extra special on the hob. It might still happen for you this season but during this xmas/new year period, if you’re not within 4-6 pts of the playoffs by mid January, then it may be about using this season to regroup, get rid of some players still milking the club for big wages and find someone who wants to play for the club.
There are some gems in the lower league’s, they just need finding, a bit of spit and a rub and dropped into the right club and they’ll sparkle. Jamie Vardy is one of them.

    • canaryjack97 7 years ago

There are too many players at the club who are not being involved at all yet earning silly amounts of money e.g. Lafferty, Turner, Canos, Whittaker, Klose atm and we would quite easily get rid of some of them. The issue this season has been players not willing to put everything on the line and think because we are in the championship we will be able to give 70% and still get results, I don’t know what you think about Bradley Johnson but the guy was incredible for us the other year getting 15 odd goals playing in a attacking midfield role, still can’t get over the fact we sold him because he really is the type of player we could do with right now, Derby seem to have picked up recently and in the form of Ince have a very solid player who seems to pop up with goals when needed, wouldn’t be at all surprised to see you finish in top 5 if I’m honest

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

I’m amazed Norwich or someone else hasn’t been able to get more out of Lafferty.

    • canaryjack97 7 years ago

From what I’ve heard it’s to do with his attitude in training but I agree completely with you

    • nathanufton 7 years ago

Hopefully, that’s the plan if we can hold our last 3 months of the season together, I’d be surprised if we’re not shooting for top 2. You’re right about Johnson. Derby lost Bryson and Hughes in the opening game of the season 1st 30 mins. Meanwhile we’re all laughing at women and kids playing candycrush, yet Mel Morris invested a few mill into the company that makes those stupid games. The makers of world of warcraft them come in and buy that company. Mel Morris’s share was £600 million. He duly brought the club he’s supported all his life, recognised a midfield crisis and within a week, we’d signed Norwich’s and Huddersfields best midfielders. Johnson has not really suited the wing for us since we play a 4-3-3, so he’s been reprogrammed to be the walking brickwall we need as our holding midfielder and it is starting to pay off. Hendrick was sold for 11.5 – 12 mill, money we didn’t/don’t need, the offer was too good to turn down for a player who cost us nothing through our own academy. Hughes and Bryson get fit, suddenly we have too many quality midfielders. BUT they’re all getting match time, there is a little rotation, we’ve also got lots of attacking options spare which I’d like to see more rotation before jan/feb – match time. Those extra faces could be the difference between auto promotion or a playoff spot.
However, with lots of teams like Huddersfield, Bristol and Fulham all mixing it up with the top 10, the championship is getting frenetic. Everybody can beat everybody.
The only 2 lightweights of the league that stand out for me at the moment are Rotherham and sadly my 2nd team Burton.
Incidentally @mr-fixit I think Burton have only scored once on the road in 10 games – they’re playing a resurgent Aston Villa. Check the stats.
Also, Derby have not conceded a goal at home in 6 games. Joint highest in the world with FC Copenhagen and Kaiserslauten.
Even with the scraped scoredraw last week, we are still unbeaten in 8 ( 7 wins ). Derby and Villa will be having the win to nil treatment on my treble. Forest also have their goalscorer back, so i’ll be having the Notts Forest BTTS. Might take a tip on the Fleetwood heads up from @hullshaker for a quad.

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Already got Villa marked down but of course they’re pretty short.
Also be on Fleetwood and probably Reading.

  32. HullShaker 7 years ago

Leroy – as ever, it pains me to say it but I’ve been eyeing Fleetwood up for goals myself against our shambles of a side ?

We have now obliterated our ‘worst run in history ever’ (9 straight losses) and there’s no sign of it getting better as we take on a side who have scored in every league game so far…

    FLEETWOOD VS. BURY:

Fleetwood’s emergent home form is enough to make even the most hardened Bury fan spend Christmas Day sat in the corner sucking their thumb and rocking.

The Trawlermen have played 7 home games since mid-October and have bagged a maximium 21 points with straight wins.

Even worse (if you are a Shaker/even better if Cod Army) Fleetwood have scored: 3-2-3-2-4-2-2 team goals across those 7 games. This against opposition whose defensive set-ups look like the Italian national side circa 1982 in comparison to Bury’s Last of the Summer Wine X1 circa 1989.

    FLEETWOOD OVER 1.5 TGS…4/6
    ?????

    FLEETWOOD OVER 2.5 TGS…9/4
    ???

    FLEETWOOD OVER 3.5 TGS…6/1
    ?

There’s every chance we will score and maybe even grab a brace but I’d sooner include that risk in match goals rather than Bury team goals

    OVER 4.5 MGS…4/1
    ??

    Best of luck.

It’s one of those where you’d be kicking yourself if you didn’t back it, even though it seems too good to be true!

  33. micky belfast 7 years ago

Leroy wat sort of stakes U use mate for those bets

    • leroy 7 years ago

Fair question @micky-belfast . I’ve always resisted posting my stake amounts because I fear then that I would have to start providing evidence of my points totals and records. I worry that would be unnecessary pressure on myself when really I just post my bets/’tips’ out of enjoyment.

However in this case I probably will post my ‘points’ staked per bet when I repost the selections on Monday seeing as there are a large amount of punts. :)

juventus v milan ( Italian super cup final 4:30 pm)

does any one know why they are playing the cup final in Doha and not Italy if its sponsorship then football really has been sold to the highest bidder

Arabs are cheering for italian teams in majority, they have fan clubs and serious club store sales in Arab Emirates , Qatar , Dubai etc..

They paid reasonable amount of money to get this game in Doha.

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Yeah it’s all about cash but it’s the same all over Europe. Lots of these games are now played abroad but to be fair the Super Cup matches are more exhibition than competitive. Wait until they start moving league matches.

    • punterpounder 7 years ago

I just suppose im an old fashioned fan its good that these teams get global followings but thare is nothing like seeing your team at the national stadium and as for league games in different countries that really would be sad to hear.

    • maccathered 7 years ago

Its mainly because italian football is rapidly declining and its a way of trying to advertise italian football, there aren’t as many fans in italian football nowadays not from what it used to be,basically this is a way of selling shirts etc.

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

I wouldn’t mind a weekend in Doha watching the Bankies!

Alcohol crisis over. Tomorrow nights consumption will now be sponsored by bet365. I ummed and arred on whether to go for the over 0.5 tmg’s in the Motherwell game – waiting for the price increase, then a goal, then another round of shall I shan’t I, then a damn 2nd goes in. Shoulda coulda woulda and then there’s a third.
I shall walk calmly away and consider myself lucky. Banked an extra £60 thanks to 7 minutes of stoppage time and a 92nd minute goal and my daily balance has risen from a start of £133.16 to £271.28.

I’m now tip-toeing on odds and sods and attempting to bank a fresh tenner each bet. But tonights betting is now concluded, I shall catch you guys tomorrow. Tread carefully guys and I hope you all have a profitable evening.

Also apologies to @sean567 it was your heads up on the aussie game that convinced me to use it as part of my bank builder, I took 2/9 on over1.5tmg’s. Thankyou.

Amazing offer on at McBookie and Bet Victor.

    Celtic/Rangers both HT/FT – 13/2! Max £20.

Best price elsewhere is 14/5 at Coral. Most places have it at around 5/2 and it’s below 11/5 at BetBright.

I’ll be supporting the Old Firm for once!
