Dec 23: Mr Fixit’s Top Tips

THERE was no praying, no sweating and no worrying. My Super Single cruised in on Tuesday and Greg Browning’s nap coasted home.

That’s eight in a row for Greg (thanks to Oozie for putting up a list) who posted an over 2.5 goals double on Portuguese Under-19s games. His next tip might not be until Boxing Day but if he sees anything he likes before then he’ll put it up.

My Linlithgow Rose Super Single was 21-20 when posted but went off much shorter after a huge gamble. Some bookies priced up Rose too big at 2-1 on Monday and they went off odds on. Having said that their 5-1 win was helped by two Wick red cards.

The fourfold I put up was also a winner but it was reduced to a double that paid just over evens after two call-offs.

On the members’ forum my Bet of the Day was also a winner but reduced to 2-9 because it became a single. The 2-9 – Southport to score – was going to be my £10 to £100 Challenge bet that would have taken to my target but I decided not to do it. The Betting Club bet was also a winner so there is £26.50 going on the next selection.

It’s a big day on the forum and I’m taking a 2-9 shot today to hopefully go 1-0 up on Greg. The Betting Club and Bet of the Day tips are also up as well as some good stuff from Johnb on racing.

Picking them has been tough over the last few days and it doesn’t get any easier on Wednesday with Lokeren v Anderlecht in Belgium, some Turkish Cup games and a Serie B card to look at.

Both to score at Lokeren pays 10-11 with William Hill and has come in eight of the last nine meetings between the teams. Anderlecht are also 10-11 to win with Coral and it’s tempting for a side that’s won on five of their last six visits to Lokeren.

Victory will move Anderlecht to second but Lokeren’s form has improved with only a defeat to Bruges in their last five.

In Serie B one side who have mentioned a lot on the site are Crotone who are at home to Trapani. Crotone have won eight of their last nine home matches and are 5-6 with Betway.

Another side who might be worth backing at home are Pescara who have lost one of their last 11 in front of their own fans. Pescara are 8-11 with Ladbrokes at home to Modena.

Having some research the only other side who stand out is Novara at home to Cesena but I’m risking a Top Treble on both to score at Lokeren and wins for Crotone and Pescara. It could have been to score 2+ for the Italians as an alternative.

As far as the Super Single goes there won’t be another one until Boxing Day and I’ll put up a shortlist today or tomorrow.

And remember to check out our friends at We Love Betting for their latest tips and video chat.

I’ve enjoyed a great couple of months but an absolute stinker this last week or so.

Hitting a losing run is always a good leveller and puts things well into perspective – brilliant to see the SS and Acca’s well in profit for the Festive month and also Greg’s tips on fire Mr F – it’s been a cracking launch to the new site.

Looking ahead to tomorrow and a limited card, I’ve had a good look at Pescara’s home game against Modena.

I’ll not bother posting my stats or reasoning as there’s people much more versed in ‘doing’ Italian games than me but I’ll be taking this one as an early NAP:

    Good luck.

Only fixture sticking out to me is Fenerbahce to score & win!! Looking at past results I’ll definitely be on it! Can’t see them keeling a clean sheet but should be far too strong for their opposition if they field a strong team that is good luck everyone not a easy day of fixtures

Italian Serie B, I am on 4 home teams to score a goal.

    Crotone to score
    Novara to score
    Pescara to score
    Ternana to score
    Fourfold @ 2.15 with WH

Crotone scored in every home game this season.
Novara scored in 9 of their 10 home games, Cesena conceded in 9 of their 10 away games.
Pescara scored in all their home games, Modena conceded in all their away games.
Ternana scored in 7 of their 9 home games, Lanciano conceded in all their away games.

    0.5pt bet, just for fun.
I consider the two Cyprus division 1 games fairly certain, otherwise I would not have included them on such low prices. Agia Napa is certain to be the 1 out 3 team to be relegated and Salamis is a very good team. Anorthosis will win it to stay at the top along with AEK. I wouldn’t touch the other two games. Apollon is considered a favourite and is better in defence and offence, but it’s a local derby and anything can happen. Enosis-Ermis could also go either way, i consider the draw a very likely outcome.

Nea Salamis vs Agia Napa, Nea Salamis win 2/7
Ethnikos Achnas vs Anorthosis, Anorthosis win 3/10
Novara vs Cesena, over 2.5 match goals 23/20
    Bari vs Brescia, BTTS 10/11
Lokeren vs Anderlecht, Over 2.5 match goals and BTTS 11/8

Ive picked 3 games from Serie B to do a safer, medium and risky treble on.
Ive looked at the 3 games and have made the 3 trebles based on levels of safety.
    All 19:30 Kick Off’s
    Pescara v Modena
    Crotone v Trapani
    Novara v Cesena
Pescara take on Modena whos away record reads 0W 2D 7L, with 4 losses on the bounce and failing to score in 5.
Pescara have lost 1 at home in 9 with 2 draws and 6 wins and look the more likely to win this match.
Crotone are the form side at home in Serie B with 8 wins and 1 draw from 9 home games and sit top 16 points above there opponents.
They have kept a clean sheet at home in the last 3 in a row. Trapani have lost 4 of there last 6 on the road with 2 draws and failed to score in 4/5 bagging just the 1 goal.
Novara are the form team at the moment with 6 straight wins and have also won there last 6 at home in a row keeping 4 clean sheets. They have been deadly hitting 4 goals in 3 of there last 4 home games.
SAFER: All 3 home sides on Draw no bet
MEDIUM: All 3 home sides 0.0-0.5 Asian Handicap
    Novara & Over 2.5

Took 2 bets today first one looks like an absolute banker Crotone 4/6. Keeping the research to the basics its a team who are unbeaten at home with only 1 draw to blemish that record, vs a team with only 1 away win.

Trapani’s most common score away from home is 0-0 however Crotone have never failed to score in a home match and I expect them to win comfortably.

also took a 3 team longshot that pays over 9/1
    novara to win
    pescara to win
    anderlecht to win and btts

Novara won the last 6 matches in total and the most in form team in the division against a team who have 1 point and 1 goal from their last 4 away matches.

Modena havent been able to buy an away win all season and only managed 2 draws in the process. While Pescara aren’t in unbeatable form they should have enough to win this one.

In Belgium 80% of Lokerens matches have been both team to score with them netting in their last 5 home matches, although they have hit some decent form recently it was against lesser teams, with the last time they played a top 3 side at home they ended up losing 2-1.

Anderlecht should win this one with their last away win against brugges giving them confidence however I can’t see them keeping a clean sheet.

Novara, Pescara, Crotone to score 0.8/1
    Novara > 1.5 TGS 6/5
    Pescara > 1.5 TGS Evens
    Lokeren BTTS and Overs 11/8
Felice Evacuo ATGS 15/8 (scored a few recently and takes the Novara penalties)

Eyeing one up for a Night Owl and bit of time this morning so will pop thoughts up now.

Bermuda shorts donned and a pint of mulled wine in hand, I’ll be pretending I’m over in Antigua and not Hull for Christmas…

Two H2H’s this season so far – Parham have the bragging rights in both with 1-0 and more recently 5-2 victories.

Parham sit 6th but form is pretty good, the only sides that have troubled them of late are the 1st and 2nd placed sides. If we discount those 2 games, Parham have scored: 2-3-2-5-4-6 TEAM goals in their recent games.

Otto’s Rangers languish at the foot of the table with 1 win and a draw in their last 13 games. They have conceded 2 or more goals in 7 of their 9 recent games.

Not a lot out there in terms of markets and I’ll probably have a look just prior to KO on Coral and see whst 365 offer in-play.

    Bets worth considering:

    OVER 3.5 GOALS

Good luck with all bets today.

Most of the tips seem similar today and I’m on pretty much the same which never fills me with confidence. Main treble BTTS in Lokeren v Anderlecht, Crotone Win and Novara Win – 2 points. Add Bari, Spezia and Pescara to Win for a 1 point 6 fold.
Also on Crotone as a single and the following as a slightly smaller single:
    Novara v Cesena – Highest Scoring Half – 2nd Half @ 11/10
Novara’s last game finished 3-1 with 2 goals in either half but before that they won three games on the spin by a 4-1 scorline, scores at half time in those games were : 0-0, 0-1 and 0-0. 4 of their last 5 home games have scene this market come in and with Novara (3rd) playing a side just two places below them, I’m hoping for a tight first half with Novara coming out on top in the 2nd. Score Prediction HT 1-0 FT 3-1
Correct Score 0.2 points Singles and o.1 point Double
    Anderlecht Win 2-1 @15/2
    Crotone Win 2-0 @7/1

    Going for the following 4-fold;

    Spezia win
    Crotone win
    Novara win
    Fenerbache win

    £15 returns £73.20

Spezia have been in fairly consistent form, bar 2 draws with the 5th and 6th place teams above them. They’re playing bottom of the table Como who have only notched 1 win in all 19 games so far.

Crotone are top of the Serie B and are in fine form having won their last 4 games in a row, playing mid-table (and inconsitant)Trapani.

Novara are also a team in fine form having won their last 5 games on the trot, playing 7th place and inconsistant Cesena. Have gone for draw no bet on here just in case Cesena turn up.

OVer in the Turkey Super League Cup, and second place Fenerbache who’ve won their last 2 and should really be beating Antalyaspor.

    Good luck all who follow.

Chancing 1 point on Nea Salamis to Draw @ 19/5, they are 2/7 to win but have only managed to win 3 of their last 11 home games! Ayia Napa are bottom of the league but have drawn 3 of their last 5 away, with one of those defeats coming against the top team in the division. Worth a point.
Safer afternoon treble pays 1.39/1 – 2 points on
    Anorthosis 1/3
    Fernebahce 2/5
    Skenderbeu 2/7
Fernebahce are the dodgiest, I can see the away side getting on the scoresheet and have taken Ferne BTTS/WIN along with Anderlecht BTTS/WIN as a 0.5 point dble.

Draw Win @ 19/5, disappointed in the safer treble. @samroutley Poor card today and I’ve already placed a couple of early bets in Auz, 1 winner, 1 loser and I’m on over 4.5gls and Over 5.5 gls in the Bhutan (Currently 2-1) – thanks to Hull and Crane for flagging that game up. Also tipped Maldives to win and BTTS @ 13/10 which looks good. Not much else on today, Cagliari should win at Evens but wouldn’t risk more than a point or two on them. Most of the Turkish cup games have gone over 2.5mgls so that could be worth a look, I’ve taken overs in games at Karabukspor, Bursaspor, Besiktas, with Cagliari to win.

not decided on a bet for tonite but wee heads up for tomorrow 10am ko Maldives v Bhutan

    o2.5mgs 1/2 365
    o4.5mgs 7/4 coral shop
    o5.5mgs 18/5 coral shop

Bhutan don’t mind shipping a goal or 10 but only lost 3-0 in their last game which was unusual, last h2h between both sides ended 4-3 game is listed as a home game but after a bit of digging appears to being played at a neutral venue sorry don’t know where………..

ps cheers hull for the email on the coral odds I don’t have an acc with them but matched on line odds in shop, think you mentioned on email o4.5 was just under 3/1 now 7/4 so looks like getting heavily backed

Even fewer games tomorrow so will take Western Sydney > 1.5 TGS, Cagliari to score 0.75/1
WSW top of the A league have scored 2 in their last 5 games. Newcastle their opponents are not in great form.
Cagliari second in Serie B face Salernitana. Cagliari have consistently scored this season and I hope will net against Salernitana who sit just above the relegation zone

Turkish cup to be played tonight and an interesting match between Samuel Etoo’s Antalyaspor and some big names as well playing for Fenerbahce, from Van Persie to Nani, Markovic and Fernandao.

Not sure what team the coach will put in this match since its a cup, but I am expecting a lot of goals here. Simply looking at the matches Antalyaspor played last couple of matches and not managing to score only against Trabzon this weekend but still losing 3:0, all the other matches they managed to score at least two goals against their opponents and while recieving at least one or more.

Also, both of these teams won their first matches in the cup 2:1, and I will also play this to go over because of the head to head matches these teams played:

    Fenerbahce – Antalyaspor 2:1

    Fenerbahce – Antalyaspor 4:1

    Antalyaspor – Fenerbahce 1:2

    Antalyaspor – Fenerbahce 1:2

    Fenerbahce – Antalyaspor 1:3

So always these teams play more then 2 goals, and also it is a cup match where I think it wont be that much of concetration between these teams, not a league match so I am expecting this to pass. GL!

Pescara host lowly Modena at home and will be confident of picking up the three points which will see them push further towards an automatic promotion place. Pescara currently sit in sixth place in the league table with nine wins and four draws so far. 6 of the nine wins this season have come at home so home is definitely where it is for Pescara. Massimo Oddo’s team come into this game off the back of a good but rare away win (1-2) at Virtus Lanciano last weekend. This followed a home win the previous week with saw our pick win against Virtus Entella 2-0.

Pescare will be withouth midfielder V.Verre but their best player this season G.Lapadula is healthy and ready to play. He has scored 10 goals in 18 matches, and is currently the leading goal scorer in Seria B.

What adds more weight to the pick is the terrible performance of Modena. The visitors have not managed to win in 16 away games in a row and have lost their last four. They have only managed to pick up two points from their nine away games as well. This poor form away from home means that they are just above the relegation zone in 17th position. In addition to their aforementioned issues with getting points on the road, they also need to work on their defence as they managed to keep two clean sheets all season.

Pescara have now won 12 of their last 15 home fixtures, losing one and face a side that have no wins and only two draws on the road all season. The hosts are already 12 points better off than Modena and are a strong proposition for any team in this league. Modena are having massive problems away from home and I expect them to continue later tonight.

    Evening genys

Like most men, my Xmas shopping started today, haha!

Looked at tonight Seria B card and not much else to add from what’s already been posted!

Decided not to post any bets for tonight – Pescara look the best shout to win at 4/6

The league was 8 out of 9 over 1.5 match goals at the weekend
And all 8 games were over 1.5 match goals the week before –

9 games to be over 1.5 match goals tonight is 15/1 and is worth done loose change for some pre Xmas even fun

Thanks to Oozie for pointing out the my mistake on the number of Consecutive NAP wins ive had! I thought it was 7, it’s in fact 8! Hoping to make it 9 on Boxing Day!

Unlucky with the lack of a Crotone goal Mr F – would have brought in a lovely late treble and I was on.

Pescara failed to get a second goal for my NAP…LOST.

Hoping the Night Owl bears better fruit.

Too excited to make some dollar boxing day! Leicester at 14/5 against Liverpool are they trying to give away money or? ;D City and Everton as a treble 9/1 do we go cheek my with a Watford win at Chelsea? That makes it 79/1 hmmm

dafsmith, looks like Vardy is fit so yes it’s a huge price but if Chelsea play like they did last week they should win.
At the moment got to fancy Stoke to beat Man Utd.

As a united fan i fully agree with this, sick and tired of van gaal and his boring methods, we are very vunerable and unless he changes his tactics/ or so called ‘philosphy’ we will keep on dropping points! A change is needed and Mourihno might have a point to prove.

Hm you never know. I was gonna do 3 different trebles all with good odds. Chelsea done well last game but Watford are doing better in my opinion. I’m a United fan cant bet against them i’d rather leave this game. Really cant see them losing this one to be honest but the way they are going who knows i’d rather leave that game out
