THERE was no praying, no sweating and no worrying. My Super Single cruised in on Tuesday and Greg Browning’s nap coasted home.
That’s eight in a row for Greg (thanks to Oozie for putting up a list) who posted an over 2.5 goals double on Portuguese Under-19s games. His next tip might not be until Boxing Day but if he sees anything he likes before then he’ll put it up.
My Linlithgow Rose Super Single was 21-20 when posted but went off much shorter after a huge gamble. Some bookies priced up Rose too big at 2-1 on Monday and they went off odds on. Having said that their 5-1 win was helped by two Wick red cards.
The fourfold I put up was also a winner but it was reduced to a double that paid just over evens after two call-offs.
On the members’ forum my Bet of the Day was also a winner but reduced to 2-9 because it became a single. The 2-9 – Southport to score – was going to be my £10 to £100 Challenge bet that would have taken to my target but I decided not to do it. The Betting Club bet was also a winner so there is £26.50 going on the next selection.
It’s a big day on the forum and I’m taking a 2-9 shot today to hopefully go 1-0 up on Greg. The Betting Club and Bet of the Day tips are also up as well as some good stuff from Johnb on racing.
Picking them has been tough over the last few days and it doesn’t get any easier on Wednesday with Lokeren v Anderlecht in Belgium, some Turkish Cup games and a Serie B card to look at.
Both to score at Lokeren pays 10-11 with William Hill and has come in eight of the last nine meetings between the teams. Anderlecht are also 10-11 to win with Coral and it’s tempting for a side that’s won on five of their last six visits to Lokeren.
Victory will move Anderlecht to second but Lokeren’s form has improved with only a defeat to Bruges in their last five.
In Serie B one side who have mentioned a lot on the site are Crotone who are at home to Trapani. Crotone have won eight of their last nine home matches and are 5-6 with Betway.
Another side who might be worth backing at home are Pescara who have lost one of their last 11 in front of their own fans. Pescara are 8-11 with Ladbrokes at home to Modena.
Having some research the only other side who stand out is Novara at home to Cesena but I’m risking a Top Treble on both to score at Lokeren and wins for Crotone and Pescara. It could have been to score 2+ for the Italians as an alternative.
As far as the Super Single goes there won’t be another one until Boxing Day and I’ll put up a shortlist today or tomorrow.
