ADRIAN LEWIS begins his quest to win a third World Darts title tonight as the first round draws to a close before the tournament takes a four-day break over Christmas.
Jackpot is 1-12 against debutant David Pallett who is 19-2 to pull off a massive upset. The

If you followed my game plan though you would have broke even with the Jazz winning in Memphis bringing up the NAP! I also advised after this game to invest same as stake on a single of Warriors -11.5 which cruised in so still a decent profit made.
I might take Huggies advice and just put $50 on each of my selections as singles going forward as will likely earn decent profit regardless. With so many games its easy to include the wrong one in the treble (like today) which lets me down, even tho 5 from 7 got up. I’ll think about my strategy today…

Portland Trail Blazers are coming off a very ugly loss last night, they’ll be tired and having to back-up against a rested OKC Thunder side that should have Durant back wont be fun for them. I don’t think it will really matter whether Durant’s back or not though as Portland is really struggling right now and OKC having been getting bigger & better each game and should roll right over Portland.

Cannot argue with your tipping but a couple of things to bear in mind about the OKC game. Blazers were without Aldridge last night who has been awesome, and may have him back today, whereas Durant is questionable.
If Durant is out and Aldridge is back it could make quite a difference, and Blazers could shock.
Mregnid, thanks for the heads up. Just been reading news, Aldridge has an upper respiratory illness and status for tonight still unsure. If he plays, I’d say he would be far from 100%…still think OKC too good at home

King v Hopp
King has been playing well in second half of the season and is huge favourite against the young German. Hopp took a set of Thornton last year and I think he may do so again. If he can nick the first set and the crowd start to get to King then this could go quite long despite the odds. I am taking O16.5 legs at 1/1 Ladbrokes. It is risky as 3-0 King sinks this but I just fancy Hopp to play tough. King is very consistent on double 16 and is pretty good on his combination finishing, I will take him to cover his checkout line set at a 112.5, it is 5/6 Coral.

I also like OKC but today I prefer

-> I like the way they have worked as a team for the last week or so (without annoying Lance Stephenson) and I think they will play great again against the Bucks, who definately miss Jabary Parker and maybe Ilyasova

Kevin Durant will not play for the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night against the Portland Trail Blazers because of his sprained right ankle.
The game will be the third straight he has missed because of the injury.

craneguy, for basketball theres 2 ways to bet:
Spread – Football equivalent of handicap.
Lets say we go with attila and huggy’s nap: OKC -6. That means OKC has to beat Portland by more than 6 points for the bet to win. The opposite way to bet would be Portland +6 (the bet is a winner if portland dont lose by more than 6pts).
Its a way of evening out the teams as stronger sides are expected to win , but can they cover the spread? Odds are usually 10/11 for both sides
WIN/WIN – Just like in football but there’s no draws, the game just goes into extra time (5minutes per extra time)until theres a winner. The odds refflect the likelyhood of the outcome, just like in football.
huggybear and Atilla, Aldridge plays tonight for Portland. Does that change the thinking somewhat?

Craneguy it works exactly how you would think. Your bet on OKC -6 means that they have to win by more than 6 points. As Eagle said, if it’s a draw at the end of the four quarters the game goes to overtime. And the result at the end of overtime is the one that counts so if the OKC game is a draw in normal time and they win by 7 or more in overtime your -6 will have won.
