THERE are plenty of top games on Sunday and I’m kicking off the tips with a both teams to score treble.
Let’s start with Roberto Mancini’s Inter Milan at home to Lazio. Mancini celebrated a convincing win against Chievo in midweek but it will be tougher against a Rome side who have won their last three and netted eight goals in that spell.
That Chievo victory was the only time in five domestic outings either side had kept a clean sheet and with both scoring in the last four meetings at the San Siro I’m on a repeat.
Next go to the Bundesliga and add Freiburg v Hannover although it could just as easily have been Hertha Berlin v Hoffenheim.
On the h2h both teams have netted in the last playings of this fixture with a total of 18 goals. Freiburg have failed to net in their last two but one was against Bayern Munich while Hannover’s last six games have averaged 4.25 goals apiece.
I considered Liverpool v Arsenal and Dundee Utd v Celtic but in the end settled on Excelsior v Ajax. The last two meetings at Excelsior have finished 1-4 and 2-2 and the home men have netted in five of their last six – conceding in all of them.
Those matches have totalled 30 goals – 18 of them conceded – so you have to expect Ajax to net at least two. Over 2.5 goals would be an alternative to btts but remember Ajax conceded four in the cup in midweek so the hosts will fancy their chances of scoring.
