LAST Saturday was superb – yesterday was surreal. Imagine if you'd woken up and decided to put £1 on Norwich, Motherwell and Falkirk. You'd be nearly a grand richer.
That's the kind of day it was and any time Man United, Celtic and Rangers lose it's good times for the bookies.
Of those three Falkirk were the only ones I suggested backing while Motherwell were as big as 22-1 at Celtic and I don't know what price they were when they went 1-0 down.
It was a close but no cigar day – almost all the lines I posted were beaten by one team or one goal.
I covered one of my Super Singles when Newport were 2-0 up so it was a 1.1 loss on the two of them.
My biggest disappointment was the aways. After last week's 159-1 success I was eyeing up a 66-1 win when Spurs, QPR and Swindon all led and Ayr were drawing. At the time cash out for a decent profit was available and I could have covered a 30-1 treble.
But it went pear-shaped for Ayr and QPR conceded a late equaliser at Bristol City. I also chose not to cover my both to score treble when Notts County were the only ones not to net in the first half but they also let me down.
It was a better day for Desmond who landed his 3-1 goals double and Greg's nap again trapped at 8-11.
I've studied all the main games this morning and I can't see anything I strongly fancy in the five English games and we could see a few draws.
For my Super Single I'm on Angers not to lose at St Etienne. They're the Leicester of the French league this season having come up and performed superbly. After losing just three of their 18 matches they sit second but are of course miles behind champions PSG.
St Etienne are without a win in five with just two goals while Angers have netted just five in five but are unbeaten in that spell with just one goal conceded. It looks like an unders game but I'm taking Angers not to lose at 13-15 with 888sport.
For the Top Treble start with Atletico Madrid whose form shows no signs of dipping and they have won six in a row. Diego Simone's side can go three points clear of Barcelona – who have been on Club World Cup duty – with a win at a Malaga outfit who sit just above the drop zone with just one win in six.
Add Athletic Bilbao at home to a Levante side they have beaten in four of their last five meetings. Bilbao's form has been mixed but Levante are without a win in five.
Complete the treble with Serie A leaders Inter at home to a Lazio side they've beaten in six of their last seven at the San Siro. Also Inter have won six of their last seven matches and kept seven clean sheets in their last eight Serie A matches at home.

Having a nightmare as usual with Ladbrokes. Got a text saying bet £10 in shop ( for grid customers ) and get a free £10 bet to use on xmas or boxing day – online.

Logged onto Ladbrokes acct @ 14:15 expecting to transfer my shop winning to online acct ( a feature of grid card ), wanting to drop onto a Roma win/Benfica double. Spent 25 mins on phone to Ladbrokes, Roma score, So I lost out on a 8/11- 4/5 price….. seething. I was told theres nothing they can do and that part of the grid card aint working… like that’s my problem?? A manager rang back offered me a free matched bet to my winning ( which is an issue because I/THEY CAN’T/WON’T transfer my winnings over to my online acct. They can’t/won’t cancel out my ticket either and just credit my acct with my owed winnings.
The free bet of £23 has to be put on a 1/2 or better and I can’t cash it out ( it still works out worse than the £41 I should of had in my acct to drop onto the benfica game ). Roma score in the dieing minutes for a 2 nil !!.
I then call for a third time telling the same acct of what happened and what isn’t working etc just past 4pm ( the benfica game which was approx. 1/3 )… guess what happened ???? Yes, a benfica goal, price now 1/14. My £23 SHOULD now be worth + £60 and Ladbrokes still have a broken system which has been broken since September at least and again, I am out of pocket.
I’m guessing Ladbrokes‘ lack of accommodating the customers basic expectations of what and why the ” Grid card ” not doing what it says on the tin might make some of us think otherwise when it comes to who’s going to get our custom in the future.
I’ve not asked for anything that I’m not entitled to, but when they state quite clearly that you can transfer your shop winnings to your online acct ( and then fail to make that happen without making people aware of it ) is a blatant case of false advertsing covered by the trade descriptions act. Wonder if IBAS are aware??? The proverbial sh*tty stick willnow be poked at the hornets nest.

If you need > 2.5 MGS in the Arsenal game then current cover (365) is < 2.5 MGS @ 23/20 … so not great odds. You have the option to wait in play for an early goal in the game then your cover odds will be better. Of course you run the risk that there is not an early goal ….
nkhan, the cover is simply the opposite so bet under 2.5 goals.
