MONACO face lowly Valenciennes at home tonight knowing a win will edge them ahead of PSG at the to of Ligue 1.
PSG face a big test at home to third-place Lille on Sunday so this and is chance Monaco are not going to miss.
It was a French side Lens who beat the top treble on Friday but I was happy enough with Grimsby landing the Super Single.
Monaco are not as flamboyant as their Paris rivals and have scored 12 goals fewer but their defence is equal with both conceding just 11 in 18 games. You can't get better than 3-10 on a Monaco win so consider them to win to nil for the sixth game in a row. That pays 3-4 at Ladbrokes.
Valenciennes are short of confidence and with just one win in 18 games so you have to fancy Monaco -1 and I'll be on that to kick of the Top Treble.
Most people look at Radamel Falcao when considering first scorer but the Colombian has netted just two in his last seven matches.
Emmanuel Riviere has bagged two in three outings so could be the better bet at 4-1 with 888sport compared with 11-4 for the former Atletico Madrid ace.
For a fairly low risk treble Monaco could be added to Porto at home to Olhanense and Benfica at Setubal but that pays just 4-5 at Ladbrokes.
That's no use for most of the site users so I'll increase the odds by adding Serie B promotion chasers Pescara at home to second bottom Padova. Pescara are unbeaten in nine league games and face a side with just one win in six. They look a decent price at 17-20 with Ladbrokes.
Complete the treble with Twente at RKC as they bid to go joint top with Vitesse. RKC are unbeaten in four since losing 5-2 at Heerenveen but Twente's have hit 12 in four successive wins and should have too much firepower for the hosts.
Eintracht Frankfurt could be a popular pick at home to Augsburg in the Bundesliga after busting coupons with a 1-0 win at Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday.
However, it's worth noting Eintracht are yet to win at home in seven outings this season and face an Augsburg outfit sitting eighth and going for three wins in a row. Eintracht are 11-8 at Ladbrokes and a Super Single contender.
Monaco to win to nil was another option I considered but I've been persuaded by the arguments for Jong PSV at Oss. Jong PSV hammered Dutch second division leaders Dordrecht 3-0 last time out and face second-bottom Oss who lose too often at home – six defeats and two wins in their last eight.
Jong PSV are on the up and are 6-4 at Ladbrokes but as has been said not all the players who impressed against Dordrecht will be available. However, Oss lost 5-1 at home to Sparta Rotterdam last time out and seem to do better on the raod.
The three English games tonight don't look easy to call but I'm going for over 2.5 at Tranmere v Gillingham with the home men's last six seeing 21 goals and the Gills' previous four producing 18. RKC v Twente in Holland and Southend v Rochdale in League Two complete my treble.

Pescara are finally into that top group going for serie a and they are THE infom team at the mo with 5 wins one draw from six. Home form is so so but away is sparkling. Padova and sparkling go together like bacon and ice cream and i cant see them doing much in this game.

It was a decent day yesterday. If you were doing a level points system, you’d have staked 4pts and returned 6.35 so that’s good news! The two biggest prices were the two winners in the end so on an adjusted stakes like I do, you’d actually have made a little less, but on most days that wouldn’t be the case. Anyway, onto today and I have to say, I see almost nothing to take my fancy and that’s why I’ve only put one bet up. There’s plenty of games and some short prices that look okay, but generally I look for over EVENS value and that’s what I’ve gone for.
EXETER V CHESTERFIELD 7:45pm
Chesterfield have scored plenty of goals on the road this season and even though their form has dipped in recent weeks, they’ve still scored 8 goals in their last 5 on the road and 3 of the 5 have seen them score 2 or more. They’ve scored 2 in each of their last 2 away games and come up against an Exeter side who have self-imploded barring a 3-2 away win over Accrington last away match. At home, their form is very poor and have conceded 9 goals in their last 5 home matches – once again 3 of those have seen 2 or more conceded. The H2H record shows that Chesterfield hit four past their opponents last time they met and I’m expecting them to hit at last 2 in this one too. Over 1.5 team goals pays 6/5.

Just studied the martingale and labouchere betting systems. the martingale system is more profitable of course But!!! it will take about 7-8 consecutive losses to lose all your bankroll in the labouchere system provided you adopt an adequate budget you work with whereas the martingale loses after 5 consecutive losses following the same trend!! so i’d finish up with the maringale at the of the year and adopt the labouchere system in 2014 because Mr.f will never lose 7 in a row never!!

maobi, I’ll have a look but while I’ve never lost 6 or 7 in a row and rarely lose 3 in a row you have to accept it could happen. So like every system you must be able to handle losing your initial bankroll.

By all means tho, Le Havre are not solid at home and have lost 3 so far this season.
I watched Auxerres last away game v Metz and Auxerre were playing better than the leaders and looked like they were gonna score the first until Metz broke the deadlock in the 48th minute and again 2 minutes later, then Auxerre fell apart but they were impressive up until then.
This could go either to be honest but Auxerre draw no bet is still value at 5/2 William Hill, ive got a couple of quid on that.

Notes on the Kasimpasa game. I know they’re playing away tonight, however the club have been struck with a 2 match ban on home crowds after the incident against Besiktas last week.
Since their clash in 2007, Rizespor have yet to lose at home against Kasimpasa.
Kasimpasa have only defeated Rizespor once (in 2009, at home) out of the 6 matches they’ve come up a against each other.
Rizespor are strong at home but have been really unlucky this season with bad referee decisions against them. Otherwise, they’ve had a good start to the season and should be looking to get back on track. Their public speaker have stated to the local media that ‘We’ve been unlucky in the league lately and this match is our way out, 3 points is our only option’

Good Morning! – Had a quick look at the dutch card for tonight and i think there’s some value.
RKC – Twente, 20.00 CET
Twente is third in the league, 3 points behind leaders Vitesse and 1 point behind Ajax. They are on a 4 game win streak, netting 3 on average in these matches and playing very decent football. Twente will be looking to finish the year with another good match, a win and a consolidation of their position in the league. Twente will only really miss Quincy Promes tonight due to a knee injury. The rest of the injured players are already out for a while.
RKC also isn’t doing as bad as they did in september and october if you just judge by the scoreboard, but still is all but a wonder team. The return of Evander Sno has helped RKC in stabilizing its midfield a little, and since he’s back RKC have only lost once (5-2 to Heerenveen) in the last 6. The stinker is, RKC basically in half of these matches got too much. Last week vs ADO they were just plain lucky and also in the matches against Zwolle and Feyenoord the result easily could have been different.
The first match between the two teams in August ended in a 0-0, but tonight’s lineups are so different that i don’t take that match too much into consideration.
I think Twente will be very motivated to perform, and under those circumstances RKC is way to weak to stop Twente. Also tonight RKC most likely will be without its coach Erwin Koeman. Unfortunately two days ago his father died.

About the Martingale system, i have 2 bad experiences from that system.
1. Followed one daily-tipster that showed really good results, until he got 6 losses in a row, then the site closed!
2. Next time i calculated that i could afford 9 losses in a row, followed a steady tipster on big site (that wouldnt close down) but he had a really bad month and showed amazingly 11 straight losses!
Now i just follow my gut feeling :-)

Evening guys, The second round of the darts gets underway tonight, but with Taylor and Van Barneveld playing the odds are pretty short and finding value is pretty tough.
The 3 favourites Wright, Taylor and RVB should all win, the first 2 named should win well, whilst RVB may need to go a few sets before seeing of Jamie Caven. The favourites bundle is 4/7 William Hill.
In the opener between Wright & Laursen, I like Wright to hit more than 5.5 total 180s. Laursen averaged just under 90 against Terry Jenkins in round 1, if he can do that then there should be enough legs in the game for Wright to cover O5.5. It is 6/5 Betvictor.

I’ve been placing a daily low stakes trixie on away teams where the odds are at least 2/1. The thinking is, if you get a double up the payout is at least double the stake placed. You only have to get the treble up once every two weeks or 3 doubles a week to break even. Example, tonight
Stake – 50p Trixie (£2.00)
Angers 3.40 – WON
Augsburg 3.30 – LOST
Jong PSV 2.60 – WON
Return – £4.42
I know the stake is tiny compared with some but I’m still road testing. As with all multiples, selection is the key but the bet is showing consistent (modest) profit. When I get more confident with the selections I’ll start posting for other people to consider

Stealth, that is interesting to me as I usually put a trixie line, although I usually find home teams which are priced around evens or above. You are right, selection is key but if you can get 2 right more than you get 0 or 1, then you will certainly make a long term profit.
I tracked my trixies in September and October and made around 27% profit in the first month and 12% in the second. I can’t remember exactly now but if I did 25 trixies in a month, I needed around 11 2/3s and 4 or 5 3/3s to profit.
A good way to do it may be to cherry pick some of the tips on here, like taking MR F’s super single, a pick from Alex and a pick from Greg into a trixie.
Cammy, thanks for the reply, it’s always interesting to hear what other people are doing and what they think of your ideas. I think I’ll follow your lead and track losses and returns for a little longer with the aid of a spreadsheet. I know more about Excel than I do about betting :-)

I find French top league football so unreliable. PSG & Monaco are often too short for value but can’t be trusted on handicaps. They seem just as likely to lose 1-0 as they are to win 4-0. The only French games I will be putting money on from now on are Gregs lower league picks.
MrT, I agree, I don’t think I have backed Monaco once this season as 1/4 is rubbish but -2 is too risky. I think it’s all to do with the way many teams’ tactics are to take as few risks as possible. This is in complete contrast to the Dutch game, for example the other night Vitesse’s goalkeeper stayed in the opponents half for about 3 minutes as they chased an equaliser in stoppage time – the other team ended up walking the ball into an empty net!

Tempest, Pescara were a good shout and were of course on the treble. To be fair I’d have been put of by the comment about Kasimpasa struggling at that venue with the guy preferring a draw.

You can use betfair Sportsbook and cash out and pay no commission although odds aren’t as good as they are on the betfair exchange.
Sometimes I lump on a relatively straight forward double, or treble as in tonight and then your banker for that extra 20 quid lets you down. Makes you think, as in tonight, a tenner on Pescara, Dordrecht, Jong PSV and angers (all tipped on here) would have returned a very very tidy profit… But if it never, your no gutted at losing a tenner. Aaaaaaah, the world of gambling. Tomorrow is another day. I look forward to lumping the super single and putting a small wager on a few of the tips as an acca.

Huge shock at the darts tonight guys with Taylor going out. He never looked right tonight and I reckon the rumours about him being unwell before his first game, may come out although he didn’t speak to SKY afterwards. Bully boy was a massive 11/2 in play at 2-2 and I had a punt on that.
