MY Super Single tally is looking a bit better after Sunday's 7-5 winner.

I went for a “best bet” treble and it landed thanks to Ajax and Marseille not losing and a win for Deportivo.

Bayern Munich and Spurs won but let the Top Treble down with only one-goal victories while the both to score treble runs on to Everton v Liverpool.

On what was a decent all round my Bet of the Day for members won as did the Daily Double on the app – and that's five in a row.

And well done to Kelly who completed another £1000 challenge – and this is now the place to do them.

Tonight Everton v Liverpool takes pride of a place and I've posted a separate preview. For me it should be action-packed with plenty of goals and it has the highest red-card rate of all Premier League games.

In La Liga it's Athletic Bilbao v Real Betis while there are some lower-league games to look at including a couple in the Dutch Jupiler League.

As I'm already waiting for btts at Goodison my only tip today is risking 1.3pts from the Super Single profits on a score draw in the Mersey derby.

Great work with the Super Singles Mr F ?

‘Final round of Christmas Lunches’???…Holy sh*t – you must’ve had more cold turkey than Iggy Pop and it’s not even 5 days ’til Christmas yet ?

Good excuse for a piss up – just hope I’m still standing to watch Everton v Liverpool.
Well done with the 9-2 by the way.

Been a night of ups and downs but see if we can’t end the evening on a high…

    Night Owl…

    BOCA UNIDOS VS. ATLÉTICO PARANÁ:

This one sits 0-0 heading into h/t and I reckon the 2nd 45 may well hold a couple of goals!

The thing is, Parana are lacking a bit of bite – no pun intended…they really are all gum and no teeth.

So that leaves Boca and they managed to score 2, 1 and 3 team goals in their last 3 H2Hs. They also managed 2 goals in both of their last 2 league games at home!

So, just the one selection at a big price…

    BOCA UNIDOS OVER 1.5 TGS..9/2

    Another quality tip Hull :-)
Was on Boca to score 8/11 and over O.5 in-play at 1/2, not bold enough to go for your tip but now 3-0 so covered it easy in the end!

  4. HullShaker 7 years ago

    Good stuff Davros sir ?

    EVERTON VS. LIVERPOOL:

Need to have a more detailed look at this one tomorrow but initial thoughts are actually a draw with a nice price at nearly 3/1 (27/10)

Also have a nagging suspicion that there may be a penalty and red card at some stage in the proceedings…9/4 and 11/4 respectively.

All based on gut thinking but sometimes 40 years worth of following certain derbies will give you an infinitely better ‘insight’ than studying form and stats on ‘tinternet.

Best of luck with all bets tomorrow ?

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

Neither team are hugely reliable at the back and I just wonder with Liverpool the most likely team to make an impact early on – how long would they be able to hold that lead for?

Everton have harvested a massive 11 points from a ‘losing position’ this season alone which is the highest in the EPL and maybe points to more than just a coincidence!

Could be worth exploring and this bet fits the bill nicely!:

EVERTON TO WIN OR DRAW FROM BEHIND…4/1

      CORRECT SCORE 2-2…11/1

bit of resoning for my above tip
I know these derbies inside out and this is imo the worst everton team to face liverpool.Liverpool know they need the win to close the gap on chelsea and of course everton will not want to lose this game but they simply are not streetwise enough to cope with liverpool’s attack, the scoreline at anfield in the last game should give you a clue as to where everton are at liverpool are simply the better side here and the fittest and if you watched liverpools last game v middlesbrough they won that game with some ease where chelsea etc struggled,If this game had been a few seasons ago i would have said draw all day long but times have changed and so have liverpool.

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

Good luck Macca – certainly agree with the ‘fittest’ side – it is what Klopp does best and one of the main reasons his Dortmund side achieved what they did.

Very few ‘controls’ in football that you can govern yourself as a coach (budget, fan base, ground, etc) but fitness levels yes and having played football all my life, the toughest teams to face aren’t always the ones with natural skill – they are the ones that press for 90+ minutes and don’t give up on any ball.

      Best of luck pal.

    • maccathered 7 years ago

Cheers hull gl with yours to,lallana looks good for anytime scores he’s on fire.

  14. HullShaker 7 years ago

Always keep an eye on the Premier League 2 games – not so much a betting-related thing but more an interest to see what the Youth and lower-tier set-ups are like at various clubs.

Think I’ve mentioned before my old man was a ref when I was growing up so I was dragged around every ground in the North of England at some point or other.

The North-West Counties was the bigger stage back in the day with teams like Marine and Skem but my favourite was the old Lancashire League.

Basically this was all the North West’s’ sides Reserves, A and B teams – so you’d maybe see Liverpool A vs Crewe A with loads of Youth players coming through playing alongside the pros coming back from injury.

Games were usually played at the training grounds and I fell in love with football whilst kicking a ball around an empty half-time pitch at places like The Cliff (Utd) , Platt Lane (City) and Melwood (Liverpool)…happy days and my autograph book was a cracker.

One of my favourite grounds was Blackburn’s Ewood Park and this was just before Shearer, Sutton and co arrived…loads of Scots players then (would have been around ’91 maybe) Henry, Munro, Irvine. Was a great set-up for the kids and Youth football – a proper family club…not sure what it’s like these days but I dare say old Jack Walker has turned a few times in his grave with events over recent years.

Anyhow, there is a point to this…

NORWICH CITY U23 VS. BLACKBURN ROVERS U23 (13.30 KO):

Neither team setting the world alight but both more than capable of a goal or 2…think we might see a few here as both teams make a bid to propel themselves further up the table ready for the New Year.

    BTTS…4/7

    OVER 3.5 MGS…17/10

Good luck if you have a go ?

  15. maccathered 7 years ago

How times have changed hullshaker i remember we was always at melwood growing up as a kid, autographs are a plenty, shame though melwood is going to be demolished in the future for better training facilities.:(

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

My lasting memory of Melwood was they had endless ‘wooden planked’ goals stretching down the training ground so you could ping free kicks and shots all day long and so long as you hit the target, the ball came back to you.

Must say, Everton’s (Bell Lane?) was great too and only up the road…once saw Neville Southall doing the most brutal work out in goal ever…might have been a big lad but he was fit as you like then.

Some one crouched down on his goal line whilst someone else popped consecutive shots in each bottom corner…Southall had to get each one then leap over the crouched player to get to the next bottom corner…went on for 25 minutes and it was a proper clarty pitch none of this 3G stuff back then.

Put this one up last night:

Big game in Merseyside tomorrow and Liverpool interest me but not the one with Klopp and Co!

One to note tomorrow in Uruguay …
LIVERPOOL MONTEVIDEO RES. VS. NACIONAL De MONTEVIDEO RES.:

Around a year ago I followed some of the Uruguayan Youth/Reserve games and they seemed to swing from fairly straight-laced games to out and out goal mullerings.

Of the latter, Liverpool Montevideo were right in there with the high scoring games with a 12-0 being the highlight!

Limited markets and will add to the post when in-play if anything appeals. Absolute bast*rd to track the Uruguayan Youth Leagues but have managed to glean enough to spell out potential goals

Nacional’s last 3 saw 5-3-4 match goals whilst (I think) the previous H2H finished 4-0 to the ‘Scousers’ ?

Good luck and keep stakes low but 4 goals is a realistic target.

Currently sits 2-2 with over half an hour left

    Afternoon gents

    One bet from me tonight

    Everton v Liverpool KO 8pm

It’s the Merseyside derby for me and I expect this match to go the same way as the city v Arsenal game! Both are capable of scoring, it’s a case of finding a winner! Everton have already put Arsenal to the sword under the floodlights here last week and I’d be very surprised if they didn’t net here! Liverpool will be looking to cut the gap at the top of the league to 6 points! They really can’t afford another slip up! Should be a cracker ??

    Everton v Liverpool

Personally I think this is a great night to get on the various Request a Bet’s with SkyBet.
    Few things to consider:
    – Both team look very likely to score with both of them possessing serious weak links at the back so goals looks likely with BTTS and over 2.5 looking very reasonable bets to double your money.
    – Both teams are very direct with wingers so corners should be in high numbers for both sides.
    – Local derby and add to the mix a certain Mike Dean as referee, booking points looks a very sensible bet with good chances of a penalty or two and maybe a red card or two.

    Selections:
BTTS, each team 3+ corners and 30+ booking points
    6/5

Over 2.5 goals, 10+ corners, and 40+ booking points
    2/1

Over 2.5 goals, 12+ corners and 30+ booking points each teams
    9/1

    Good Luck everyone!

Absolute crud that was! All Merseyside bets losers – thought I had the draw in the bag ’til late on.

Everton deserved nothing from that game and although Liverpool were poor at least they made a bit of an effort.

Any coincidence that the top two teams in the EPL have no European involvement…I think not.

    Well done all winners ?

Everton know their place and always bow down/bottle it against big brother.
Seen it so many times, they didn’t seem to believe they could win tonight.
Where was the spirit they showed against those other renowned bottlers arsenal last week ???
Arsenal, Everton, 2 of a kind, bit spineless really. They have the players to do better, but not the spine to carry it through.

    Night Owl…

TIGRE VS. ATLÉTICO TUCUMÁN (00.15 KO):

The last time these two met was back in February with Tigres pulling Tucuman’s pants down and sticking 5 past them without return.

The previous two H2Hs are neglible in terms of form and squad and stretch back a number of years but interesting to note there was 4 and 6 goals on top of the 5 earlier this year.

More recently, Tigres are in mixed form but they are strong at home with 3-2-3 team goals scored in their last 3 on home turf.

Tucuman themselves have a couple of solid wins under their belt in the last 2 despite mixed form and shouldn’t be completely written off.

I can see a few goals here and prices look too big.

Three selections worth consideration (and one worth a longer shout)

    BTTS…3/4
    ????

    BTTS & OVER 2.5 MGS…5/4
    ???

    TIGRES OVER 1.5 TGS…11/10
    ???

    LONGSHOT…

    TIGRES OVER 2.5 TGS…18/5
    ?

    Good luck ?

I will join you on the Tigres over 1.5tgls@11/10 and risk it for a biscuit over 3.5mgls@12/5?

      Looking like a write-off webber old fruit…sorry sir ?

    • riggsy09 7 years ago

I was on it in quite a big way to try and round off a big day of wins. Only needed them to score 2 but they couldn’t even score one. Hate waiting for overs games!
