    Challenge Cup

    Bath v Cardiff

Bath have some quality coming back into the side and I fully expect them to reverse the last weekends result, but there is no value here. 4/5 of Bath’s home matches and 3/5 of Cardiff’s away matches have seen the first half the highest scoring.

    Highest scoring half: First half

    Scottish Open R3 bets:

    Waken win – v Hamilton – 13/10 365
    Wilson -1.5 – v Lines – 7/10 Coral
    Hawkins -2.5 – v Dunn – 7/5 Betfair
    Mann win – v S O’Sullivan – 4/5 Coral
    White +2.5 – v R O’Sullivan – 6/5 WH
    Robertson -2.5 – v Swail – 11/10 PP

I didn’t think I’d ever be backing Jimmy White and especially against Ronnie O’Sullivan but here we are. Let’s hope he continues his early round from into today.

Two rounds on today so hopefully those bookies bother to get the evening games priced up as soon as the matchups are known.

2 pre-tournament bets for the PDC World Championship:

    Outright – MVG – 3/4 Betfair
    4th Quarter – Peter Wright – 6/5 Skybet

Yes, it’s boring, obvious and short priced selection with MVG but does it look like anyone can actually beat him? Not exactly. Same could’ve been said going into last year’s tournament when RVB knocked him out despite MVG averaging over 105. I actually think RVB may be his biggest threat again this year as he has come into some reasonable form in the previous 2 tournaments. I considered the 6/1 on RVB to win his quarter and the 20/1 on him in their ‘who will beat MVG?’ market but there are a lot of good players in his section meaning he would have to be on top form on a consistent basis which he has struggled to do on many occasions. MVG is probably the only person who has won me more money than Virat Kohli and I’m happy to back a man who has won 27 (I think it is) straight TV games and a man who simply despises losing.

The Peter Wright quarter bet was one I had picked out before reading the lockup tipster’s preview and every preview I seem to read is bigging up Wright’s chances of going far in this tournament. This should come down to a Wade v Wright QF if the seedings hold up and I’d fancy Wright big time in that game. He seems to have settled on a set of darts which has paid off for him as he has reached 3 SFs and one final in the last 4 TV tournaments. I expect another big showing from him over the next couple of weeks.

I haven’t looked at this evening’s games yet but I’ll prob have something up later on.

Clippers couldn’t find another shot to beat the -6 last night so lost by a point. Fine margins.

    LA Clippers -6 @ 81/100 @ Marathon Bet – 2.5 points **LOSE**

Tonight’s NFL is a tough one to take, although the obvious result should be the Seahawks. The LA Rams fired Jeff Fisher earlier this week, a task I thought should have happened last year. While the Rams weren’t playing for Fisher anymore, they’ve actually beaten Seattle the last three times. If Jared Goff wasn’t under center I would be all over the Rams +16, but he is and last week against Atlanta, still showed he is far from NFL ready.

Over the past four weeks, the Rams rank in the top five worst teams against QB’s, RB’s and WR’s, also giving defenses plenty of turnovers in the process too. Seattle should win this fairly easily at home, but 16 points is a lot to cover against any team, @lee-cunliffe will tell you this too.

Thomas Rawls rushed for 67 yards in his loss to Green Bay on Sunday with one reception for 7 yards, expect him to be the bell cow. Russell Wilson struggled mightily in Green Bay throwing five picks (not all his fault) and should have a better game tonight.

Finding value for this one is fairly tough being a divisional game with the Rams having slightly more motivation, even though their season is over. As much as Jared Goff isn’t NFL ready, he’ll still be needing to throw the ball a lot, and his yardage is very low against a Seattle side that have given up plenty of TD’s through the air over the past two weeks.

Thomas Rawls (Seattle Seahawks) Over 90.5 Rush and Receiving Yards @ 17/20 @ Ladbrokes – 4 points

    Other likes

    Seattle Seahawks Over 27.5 Points @ 11/10 @ Betfred
    Seattle Seahawks D/ST TD @ 10/3 @ Skybet
    Jared Goff (LA Rams) Over 177.5 Passing Yards @ 5/6 @ 365

Good luck if you have a bet

PDC World Championship Round 1 Day 1:

Lewis vs Mcgowan – Lewis most 180’s 11/10 Skybet **NAP**

Smith vs Evans – Smith highest checkout over 110.5 5/6 Coral **NB**

    ————————————————————————————–
Caven vs Painter – Painter win
Lewis vs Mcgowan – Lewis win

    Double 8/5 Bet365
    ——————————————–

Mick Mcgowan is a steady type of player and is not paticularly that much of a power scorer mostly due to his throwing technique which can lead to a lot of variation in his grouping whereas by contrast “The Rasta” Jamie Lewis has shown steady improvement and has been getting all three darts into the treble twenty bed quite frequently. In his match last year (at the worlds) against Gurney at the round one stage he nailed three maximums alongside five 140’s so considering his improvement throughout the year and his previous I’ll be taking the odds against price on offer from skybet and making that my NAP for the day.

“The Bully Boy” Michael Smith is amongst the best finishers in the game IMO. He has the ability to take out high checkout shots with consummate ease due to the speed and rhythm of his throw and is especially deadly on combination shots involving the treble twenty. The 110.5 checkout line for him is not asking a lot as it’s quite like likely he could be coming back to the board for Shanghai on the 20’s, anything up to 130 which could require the bull and obviously anything above that including combination shots in the same bed.

Good luck all & hopefully day 1 starts with a bang

Hi @mr-orange the only one I see there is Bunting. Darren Webster has come into a bit of form towards the tail end of the year. He whitewashed Taylor 5-0 in the group stages of the Grand Slam whilst he took a 6-0 lead against Van Gerwen in the Players Championship before eventually losing. I’d say that match up on current form is 50-50 but the rest look good for wins. Good luck mate.

Middling sort of afternoon with 3/6 but 2 decent odds against winners got me the right side of the profit line. Few bets for this evening.

    Scottish Open L16 bets:

    Milkins win -v Hamilton – 5/6 Coral
    Hawkins win – v Wenbo – 4/6 PP
    Trump/Williams win double – 23/20 Coral
    Allen win – v O’Sullivan – 14/5 888

    Challenge Cup Double

    Bath v Cardiff under 53.5
    Edinburgh +17.5

    1.83 @ bet365

Bath keep it tight at home as a general rule and Edinburgh haven’t lost by more than 15 in their last 5 away matches. The win at the weekend should spur them on rhis evening.

It’s a tough schedule tonight mate.. I would be reluctant to take the Under in the Pacers @ Pelicans game… Pet’s can’t defend and of Pacers 12 away games 9 have gone over (75%).

Imo Pacers +2.5 is a better bet, and my only lean for tonight.

Good luck whatever you go with.

A bit of a disappointing evening on the snooker. 2 of the bets losing in deciders with both the players backed having leads in those deciders and Ronnie decides to scarcely miss a ball despite putting a new tip on his cue in between games today. Evening lads

    My NBA singles tonight

Klay Thompson (gsw) over 3.5 3-pointers 11/10. PP..

Eric Bledsoe (suns) over 26.5 P&A 5/6 PP

Mr catch and shoot should get at least 4 behind the arc tonight..he averaging 4 a game and if he gets his groove going early this should sail in quite easily..

Bledsoe been a beast lately and he might even cover the line with points alone.taking the points and assists just for a bit of insurance.. but I’ve been impressed by the way he been playing lately and should have another good night ..fingers crossed..

    Good luck everyone

Morning all, it is your main man Max here, with my week 15 TNF tips. On paper it aint a great game for the neutral, the big dilemma is do you take or lay the points. On a short week it could go either way, so I am swerving it. Goff was the No 1 overall draft pick yet looks very green in the NFL. On a Sunday with props it hard to find odds against bets, but tonight I have found some lovely odds against tips for me and my followers to get stuck in to a week before Christmas.

Gurley has also struggled this season but with Kenny Britt and Tavon Austin likely to face 1-1 matchups, and Earl Bennett out I will take a chance on the Rams who have beaten Seattle 3 times in a row to score 10pts+ at evens Bet365.

Wilson threw 5 INTs last week and the legion of boom should force turnovers especially If Wagner can beat the Ram’s O-line to Goff. I expect Wilson to look to his passing options to get back on the horse after the last week but the Rams despite last week shambles have got a decent D, and I am taking a D/ST TD 2/1 Bet365.

My prop is WR Doug Baldwin O65.5yds at 11/13 Bwin. Wilson will look to him and Rawls. I expect this week they have been working on getting the rhythm with Jimmy G started. Baldwin in home games as rec of 65, 104, 89, 31. 164 and 92.

My Xmas gift is another odds against tip at Skybet which is Rawls and Graham to
    score at 7/2.

    Max’s Tips

    LA O.10.5pts 1/1
    D/ST TD scored 2/1
    Baldwin O65.5yds 11/13

    Max’s Xmas longshot

    Rawls/ Graham to score 7/2
