MY only bet on Monday was a Top Treble that was beaten by Milan's penalty miss at Roma after earlier wins by Fiorentina and Bolton.

At least Bolton continued my run on the challenge bet and on the new App I landed the Daily Double.

I wasn't about much yesterday (another Xmas do) so well done to anyone who picked a winner.

It's a busy night on Tuesday with Everton v Arsenal and Bournemouth v Leicester in the Premier League and Celtic v Hamilton and Aberdeen v Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership.

There's almost a full English Championship card, FA Cup replays and Scottish lower-league games as well as matches on the Continent. For FA Cup games team news is vital – for example Charlton are making eight changes at MK Dons and I'd expect the home side to also ring the changes.

I've posted a UK preview and having checked form, stats and team news here are the top tips.

For goals I have to start with both to score at Bournemouth. Everything points to it and let's hope it's not one of those obvious choices that let a lot of people down.

Add over 2.5 goals at Fulham v Rotherham. Fulham have netted nine in their last two (4-4 at Wolves and 5-0 v Reading) and 11 in their previous three home outings. Rotherham won 1-0 at home to QPR at the weekend after five in a row over 2.5 goals.

Complete a goals treble with over 2.5 at Stenhousemuir v Livingston in Scottish League One. Airdrie 0, Stenny 5 was an inexplicable result on Saturday although Airdrie had a man sent off when 2-0 down.

Stenny's last five games have gone over 3.5 goals and lost 4-1 at Livi in August. It's actually bottom v top but Stenny's stunning weekend win against second-placed Airdrie will put off people backing the away at 4-6 so goals should be the way to go with Livi's seeing overs in five of their last six.

The Top treble is actually a fourfold and starts with Fulham to win and Celtic -1 at home to Hamilton. Add Arsenal to score 2+ at Everton and Brighton not to lose at Blackburn.

For the Super Single I'm taking Aston Villa draw no bet at Norwich. The Canaries have won one in nine but that was a 5-0 success against Rotherham in their last home outing to keep Alex Neil in a job.

But they followed up with a 2-1 defeat at Barnsley with Neil questioning his side's desire after a shocking first half. The boss who took them up to the Premier League and back down seems to be fighting a losing battle and I can't see them beating Villa,

Would have gone with the straight away if it wasn't for Villa's poor form on the road (one league win in 10) so will keep the stalemate on side and go with Villa draw no bet.

Ok, I had £20 on, and Roman didn’t have anything in the £60 price bracket, so it’s back to delivering the post tomorrow.

    Night Owl 2…

Going a little ‘off-piste’ here and hopefully won’t end up being a little piste off with the outcome.

JUVENTUD ANTONIANA VS. AH ZAPLA (1.00 KO):

There have been 10 matches played between the 2 within the last 2 and a half seasons. In 7 of those 10, there have been a minimum of 3 goals.

It’s not one to go mad on but the price for 3 or more is a good one!

    Good luck ?

Hull first time in a while ive followed a Night Owl, The Strongest over 2.5/3.5 goals. Scored 3 goals in first half, bet one win and i have cashed out bet two as was nearly offering full profit.

Now on to JUVENTUD ANTONIANA VS. AH ZAPLA before bedtime.

    Cheers mate

    Night Owl 1…

One game of interest for any on a late shift! No time for full reasoning but may be worth a little trip over to La Paz – don’t forget your oxygen masks…

THE STRONGEST VS. NACIONAL POTOSÍ (12.00 KO):

The Strongest have had an indifferent patch of form over October/ mid-November but have picked it right back up.

Only a matter of time before they ‘do’ a side and no doubt it will come at home…could well be that Potosi are on the receiving end in the early hours.

I’m taking Strongest goals here and they have managed a minimun of 2 in 6 of the last 7 H2Hs…

    OVER 2.5 STRONGEST TGS…EVENS
    ???

    ***WON***

3-1 to The Strongest at half-time – cover available for the 5/2 with no 4th goal at 5/1…advise to leave ?

With only 10 Potosi men to oppose, this could be interesting!

    Can’t resist this:

    Strongest Over 4.5 TGS + Strongest RT5 corners…1.77/1

      Indeed they were…

Finished 7-2 to The Strongest and what a game!

      ***************************

Decent looking card tomorrow but not around much to post til early evening – should well be a few goals in the lower leagues and have put together a shortlist of the 5 games I expect to see a few in:

      STOURBRIDGE
      BARROW
      BRACKLEY
      NANTWICH
      CONNAH’S QUAY

Hi gents. Couple days off with nothing tempting me in the footy. Looking for goal tonight down in Bournemouth. I back goals when Leicester traveled to Sunderland. Four of Bournemouth’s last five have seen BTTS & Over 2.5, with Leicester seeing the same market land in six of their last seven.

I’ll be first to admit I had a poor weekend which was a shame because there were plenty of winners out there to find. The good thing about the Christmas period is that the games come quick and fast, so there’s chance to turn things around quickly. However, tonight looks a little… awkward. So I’m combining a few selections into a smaller stakes punt:

    Fulham O1.5 Team Goals
    Celtic O2.5 Team Goals
Bournemouth v Leicester O1.5 Match Goals

    Afternoon gents

Was goals galore in one game but a lack of them In the other part of my Belguim Double last night

It’s a busy looking card tonight

    Everton v Arsenal

Toffee’s boss Ronald Koman has made it public that in his eyes his team aren’t good enough to compete with the tops sides ( a direct dig at the board I think ) Arsenal travel here looking to return to the summit but should be in for a tough match here under the floodlights! On their day Everton are a match for anyone but unfortunately they have been inconsistent and are on a poor run! The gunners will field a strong side – should be a cracking game! I think we’ll see both sides met here and that should lead to goals!

Back over 2.5 match goals 8/11 (Boyle Sport) (NAP)

    Stenhousmuir v Livingston
    Fulham v Rotherham

Mr F and I are on the same page here with these two! Stennyeill be buoyed by their 5-0 demolition of Airdrie at the weekend while livi will be keen to extend their lead at the top

Fulham, the team that are pretty impressive going forward bit defensively are a bit of s shambles – should see both sides netting here

Back over 2.5 match goals double 13/10

    Halifax v Eastleigh

These two battles out a draw in the last match with Eastleigh stealing a last minute equaliser! Three was nothing between the sides that day! They make the long trip fo Yorkshire with a depleted squad ( missing 8 key players)

Taking Halifax to qualify at 4/5

I think he’ll score. He’ll have a good a chance as any tonight. I’ve stuck £100 on him anytime @ 10/1 as well as £50 on Lustig Anytime @ 10/1. Lustig scored Celtic’s first goal when they beat Hamilton 1-0. Let’s not be forgetting Sviatchenko’s goal against Rangers should have stood.

    • squarker 7 years ago

Thanks mr fixit I was looking at them scores Everton like to get 1.1 draws but I think arsenal might have to mutch for them so I will go with 2.1 arsenal to nick it buy 1 goal

Have been away for a few days but another good weekend for me on the IN PLAY accas, made another £850 profit on Saturday

I’ve found my best market with IN PLAY Goal Line accas (12 to 14 folds) – really do have the highest strike rate on this compared to any other bet in terms of win/return ratio.

Goal Line 1.5, 2 and Goal Line 2 are what I’ve been going for – checking the teams last 5 games to ensure they’re in good goal scoring form (both teams preferable). In November I returned £2K (£1.6K profit) just from this in play goals acca market and am in profit for December (approx £800).

It would be great if we could post photos in the comments section (would require more hosted storage for the website of course) as I’d like to post a screenshot of selected games as an IN PLAY tip = There isn’t time to type them out in here before a goal is scored.

Anyway by no means bragging as I detest that hate, I’m just saying this market is a real sweet spot, if you choose teams in decent form. Return really increases in an acca when you select Goal Line. Plus I like GL as it voids rather than losing if only that exact amount of goals are scored. Note I only will ever stake £5 or £10 max for £250-£600 return.

I’ve found whilst the first few accas may lose (only by the odd goal), a few usually come in to clear any lost stakes + large profit.

    • interyernan 7 years ago

Interesting stuff. Are you picking a particular league for this dude? Any particular time in play ie: at half time etc.

    • alex_mufc83 7 years ago

Not a particular league no, I choose from a lot of leagues that are in play. The main thing I’m going off is using the Form (with you can now also see on Bet365 before kick off) and also whilst in play I will look at stats… number of attacks etc as a guide.
Generally speaking most (not all of course) games will see at least 2 goals which is why the over 1.5 goals market is nearly always a low return (often 1.25/1.28/1.33) but choosing “Goal Line 1, 1.5” or “Goal line 2” really boosts this in a big acca. You have to be quite quick to select the games as they’re in play though, I do it on a phone as it’s much quicker than on a PC.

    • theboss 7 years ago

The thing I find with this is if your doing 10+ teams always 1 or 2 goes suspended and a goals go in! Hard to keep up!

U can post images here with [\img] I think.

Or use like tiny URL and post the short URL link?

    • alex_mufc83 7 years ago

It does happen for sure @theboss but I just hit accept and quickly choose another game to add (or if the acca still has a large return just put the stake on that)

    • theboss 7 years ago

Sounds good but would love to see some sreen shots of your bets ?

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Twitter it is then. If you have any requests or suggestions for the site email to admin as they don’t always read the comments.

    • alex_mufc83 7 years ago

Generally do the selections at anytime after 10 minutes after kick off (as odds slightly increase). If there’s already goals in a game that’s at HT let’s say 2-1 score line, I’d go for Goal Line 4 (for example)

Also cash out is generally available on this market which helps… i sometimes choose exactly the same acca twice (2 x £5 stake) so that can cash one out that has a decent return to cover all my stakes.

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

We have Twitter – you can post any image there.

    Evening gents,

Decent card tonight and one game stands out – it’s the big Premier League clash…

CONNAH’S QUAY VS. CEFN DRUID (19.45):

    Welsh Premier that is ?!

The Nomads are going great guns and currently sit in 2nd spot behind TNS but they are susceptible to a goal – in only 2 out of the last 15 games have they kept a clean sheet.

By contrast, the Druids lie in 10th spot (out of 12)…BUT…they can certainly find the back of the net – 9 out of their last 10 games have seen them get on the score-sheet.

Previous H2Hs don’t look great if I’m being honest but then I’ve not known a Welsh top-flight campaign see so many goals before!

    3 selections:

    BTTS & OVER 2.5 MGS…EVENS
    ????

    BTTS 1ST HALF…10/3
    ??

    BTTS BOTH HALVES…12/1

    Evening one and all!
BURTON goal before 61 mins 5/6.

    Summary:
BURTON have a good record to date on home soil, winning 5 and drawing 2 out of nine games. Their last 5 games have seen them scoring early in 4! Tonight’s opponents Huddersfield have been on a poor run of form on their travels, conceding 12 in last four outings, all of which they’ve conceded early goals!

A friend of a friend pointed out that Rotherham’s matches are the highest in the league for corners, I think the figure was 17 or so, which seems like either someone’s been drinking too much of the xmas booze already or there’s an element of truth in it.

Not done too much digging around but IF it is true, then I’d say over 10 corners with bet365 @ 5/6 is great value. And it’s only 2/1 for over 12 corners so not a massive spread there, so maybe over 10’s is the way forward.

Anyone want to do a bit of stat trawling to back it up is more than welcome.

I also know that 80% of rotherhams matches have gone over 2.5 tmg’s – the highest in the league.

If Rotherham matches average 17 corners that’s incredibly high.
I read somewhere Championship matches average 10.6 corners.

@nathanufton according to footcharts Rotheram average 5.25 corners per game and concede on average 6.5 corners so id suggest that 17 is way to high but suggests o10.5 has a great chance. Fulham who are hosting Rotheram tonight do like a corner to and average over 6 per game and concede over 5. Hope that helps

    • nathanufton 7 years ago

yep, I was thinking that too, its usually around 10-12 corners a match, BUT, there were 8 corners in the Rotherham match being played in the first 28 mins, and with just the first half done and dusted, its corner count is currently at 11.

I stuck with a tweaked goals double, over 0.5 in the sheff wed game and over 1.5 in the Rotherham match for a cheeky 18% profit. That came in good nice and quickly. Onwards to tomorrow where it will be bank 1 , bank build the 2nd.

Incidentally, it ended up 14-2 on corners in the Fulham/Rotherham match. I hope someone made a few quid on it.

    In play

Celtic to score in both halves 11/10

Usually manage to break the deed lock late in first half when still 0-0

    • dc john boy 7 years ago

Lost. Can’t believe Celtic couldn’t score a goal in the second half

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

They were shocking from what I hear. Funny thing is there was a clamour to play Griffiths and Dembele together and when Rodgers does they only score one.

      Not bad enough though

Would old like them to have dropped points

Hope they are that poor on the 31st

Floodlight failure at Pittodrie. Embarrassing ?

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Why is it embarrassing? Could happen anywhere.
Feel sorry for the Motherwell fans who travelled up although there wouldn’t have been many for a long midweek trip.

    • ray_ez 7 years ago

Floodlight failure is not a good thing mr f. That indicates poor maintenance. Mr milne is not going to be a happy bunny after that. I do know there were power issues in another area of Aberdeen last night so maybe something is up in the area. Floodlight failure shouldnt happen though. Not for long enough to abandon the match. New stadium on the horizon though.

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Problem was outside the ground as you even suggest.
Aberdeen saying it wasn’t down to them so don’t make assumptions about poor maintenance even though we know they are trying to find a new home.
An abandoned game is the last thing they’d want anyway.

Well done any winners…tough gig tonight so far.

My 5-fold acca was bust and the Welsh game decided to put up shop after an early goal and finished 1-0 ?…onwards.

    Night Owl…

ST. ANN’S RANGERS VS. DEFENCE FORCE (22.00 KO):

St Anne’s recent games have seen goals galore with: 4-5-2-6-4-4 match goals in their last 6…mostly losses but they have scored in 5 of those 6 games.

Defence Force are fresh on the back of their 9 goal win (2-7) and the majority of their own games have featured a few goals and albeit not emphatic most were wins nonetheless.

These two went head to head back in November with the result being a 2-4 away win for DF and this is a team (and league) that seems to favour early goals.

    Three selections:

    OVER 1.5 FHGS…5/4
    ???

    OVER 3.5 MGS…11/10
    ????

    OVER 4.5 MGS…5/2
    ??

Poor, poor, poor – finished 0-2 and I’ve certainly not covered myself in glory today ?
