FANS don't expect a repeat of Bradford's shock win against Arsenal last night when Celtic tackle Arbroath in a William Hill Scottish Cup replay tonight.

Bradford were a biggest 8-1 to shock the Gunners in 90 minutes while Second Division Arbroath are as big as 22-1 at BetVictor.

Despite their 1-1 draw at Parkhead against a side who had the Champions League on their mind at that point, oddschecker report for the first time that 100 per cent of bets had been placed on the SPL leaders.

And you can understand why. The Champions League campaign is on the backburner so Neil Lennon's men can focus 100 per cent on the domestic scene.

I said it last night because Arsenal were playing a strong side but with all of his big guns named for the Gayfield trip Celtic should win at a canter.

They are no bigger than 1-6 with Coral but there are other ways to back the Hoops. For example minus one pays 4-11 at Skybet, minus two is 10-11 at Betfred and Paddy Power go 10-11 Celtic to win both halves which should come up.

Picking a scorer is never easy but Joe Ledley hit one at Kilmarnock on Saturday so consider the Welsh midfielder at 7-2 with William Hill to net at any time.

In England, Swansea and Middlesbrough meet for the right to join Bradford and Aston Villa in the lsst four of the Capital One Cup. All survivors will fancy their chances of a Wembley trip and if the Swans field close to their strongest side they should win.

Michu netted a double in the wekend 4-3 defeat at home to Norwich and he is 4-1 with the likes of bet365 to score first. Swansea are 4-6 almost everywhere.

There are plenty of top clubs in action in cup competitions including Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Juventus and all should win but I'd be reluctant to take a risk on them until I see starting line-ups because will be weakened.

So for the treble I'm on Swansea, Celtic -1 and Lyon who I've mentioned elsewhere. The Super Single is Marseille who play away to Bastia behind closed doors and again I've talked about them in my Euro round-up.

It was four out of five last night on the both teams to score line. That small profit is reinvested tonight but due to the nature of generally cup competitions I'm putting up just a treble starting with the games at Swansea plus Mansfield v Lincoln in the FA Cup. Oxford v Accrington would have been in there but it's off so you can add Parma v Catania or Stade Brest v Montpellier but both are early games.

Top Treble

Swansea

Celtic -1

Lyon

Super Single

Marseille (8.0)

(6-5, Betway)

Both teams to score

Swansea v Middlesbrough

Mansfield v Lincoln

Parma v Catania (4.30)

Treble pays £49.40 to a £10 stake at Betway

Willie, early Parma bts is in after 20 minutes so it’s a good start. Hate when the early game lets me down and only out it in when my others were off.

    • Willie McGuire 11 years ago

Paul shame about 4/11 Lyon at home. Poor performance.

    • Willie McGuire 11 years ago

      Lyon pump me for £218
And Real Madrid pump me for another £60

      Bad night at the office.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Willie, mixed night for me but up overall. Lyon and Celtic -1 killed the treble but I really fancied Marseille although they made me sweat. Also had fivefold for small stakes that came up including Swansea, Mansfield and three French sides I talked up in the Euro round-up.

  10. Craig alves 11 years ago

    Change of plan, hills don’t let you do accas wi enhanced odds in it so done the following;
    £5 mulgrew anytime/Celtic 6/1
£5 Marseille AC Milan Juventus Lyon Swansea £36 free £5 if 1 team lets me down. Both at William hills
    £5 Celtic -2 Lyon Juventus Barca & Swansea/Boro btts for £39

  11. Mr Chris Guy 11 years ago

Craig 6/1 for Mulgrew Celtic is a great price. It’s only 3/1 with Skybet.

  12. Mr Chris Guy 11 years ago

Can’t believe Wanyama is still 10/3 to score anytime. He is only 6/5 Stan James, 11/8 Boylesports, 7/5 Paddy Power and 7/4 with Skybet, Ladbrokes and Will Hill. I think Coral may have this one wrong.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Chris, if he scores they’ll be wrong.

  13. Flyboivince 11 years ago

Mr fix, it’s a total odd of 13.66
Am playing at a 100£ returns is £1366

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Flyboivince, OK good luck with that. Nice if it comes in.

  14. Craig alves 11 years ago

Ano Chris, hopefully get a gl cos can see Celtic hitting 4 or 5 past Arbroath tonight, gutted can only do singles tho. £5 on mulgrew anytime/Celtic, Marseille and AC Milan ht/ft paid £125. Happy with the single tho

  15. paddywack 11 years ago

Hi Paul, Posted mine up on facebook last night and see we both went for the Swansea & Mansfield Fixture in the Both to Score Market, lets hope its a case of Great minds, good Luck.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Paddywack, there isn’t much choice to be honest.

    • Paddywack 11 years ago

Agree Paul, i just did a 1.5pt double as I thought it was plausable but had a good few days making profit so didnt want to risk it on what has to be said mediocre fixyures. As it turned out my gut was right and glad i kept stakes low. Weekend looks reasonable should do ok.

    Speculative little one tonight:-

    Fingers crossed for some goal-fests!

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

James, good luck with that. Off to school show and hopefully things will be looking good when I get back.

  23. Arnie 11 years ago

and Lyon concedes the worst goal seen this week.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Arnie, just back what was that goal Lyon conceded like. I should stay away from French games although there wasn’t really a reason not to back Lyon.

  24. weaselwells 11 years ago

Mansfield at evens, can’t go wrong

  25. Jonathan Grieve 11 years ago

Efe Ambrose e/w first goal @ 20/1. Speculative punt

  26. Mr Chris Guy 11 years ago

I seriously hope Wanyama doesn’t come on in 90th minute

  27. Mr Chris Guy 11 years ago

Really hope Wanyama doesn’t get thrown on the park with a minute to go. Where can I check live matchcast. Eurosport showing nothing

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Chris, school show was great. Guy in front of me was sneakily watching the Celtic game on his ipad so saw the Matthews goal just before King Herod tricked the three kings.

  28. weaselwells 11 years ago

can watch the game on firstrow free

  29. Andy F 11 years ago

Typical French game lets us down again lads

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Andy F, need Marseille to hold on and I’ll forgive the French.

  30. lee 11 years ago

    Mr fix it,

What websites do you use for your research?

    Cheers!

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Lee, too many to mention – soccerbase, soccerway, bbc, sportinglife etc and general searchs on a particular fixture usually throws up something of use.

  31. Mr Chris Guy 11 years ago

Absolute shit when you have £90 on an anytime Goalscorer and he doesn’t come on until 65th minute. I think its one if the most unfair advantage that the bookies have. I fully expected him to start. That’s the first game he hasn’t started. Raging.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Chris, either you don’t bet before seeing teams or bet with someone like William Hill who void all non-starters. I’ve had this debate wth bookies a few times over the years and there are sides to both arguments. If you’d be Wanyama at Hills and he’d come on and scored you’d have been just unhappy at the bet being voided.

  32. Mr broke it 11 years ago

I like william hill for anytime goalscorer he’s classed as a non runner if he doesn’t start

  33. Clarks 11 years ago

Took fly boy’s treble but went for under 2.5 goals at 5/4 £5 on it returned £75 which just about saved my night so cheers for that idea!!

  34. Leigh 11 years ago

does anyone have the madrid team? evens on hills at half time

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Leigh, busy researching Monterrey for tomorrow’s game but if Real have a strong side they should do it. But these Spanish Cup games are a nightmare especially as they are over two legs which seems senseless.

  35. Mr broke it 11 years ago

I had tony watt to score anytime against barca but classed as non runner with William hill which was a pain but I’ve had 4 fold anytime goalscorer bet on last season with another firm and one player f#&ked it by coming on as a sub im injury time!! I prefer William hills way, like Mr fixit says check the line ups before hand

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Mr Broke It, definitely pros and cons with that one but if you know the rules you can choose which one you prefer to bet with. Hills‘ argument always was that someone might have a minute for their player to score which seemed unfair.

  36. andy w 11 years ago

full team out, i have them -1 for a four fold. Ronaldo and benzama upfront

  37. andy w 11 years ago

    benzama off at half time

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Andy, when I think about it there’s some rule that’s strictly enforced in Spain about playing a strong team. I think seven starters have to be regarded as first-team regulars.

  38. Leigh 11 years ago

cheers. undecided whether to back them with it being over the two legs, take it this is the first leg?

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Leigh, it’s the first leg. I can’t give any inrunning advice on a game I’ve not been watching so you need to judge it for yourself.

  39. Leigh 11 years ago

    good job i never then!

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Leigh, I assume Celta have scored. If that’s the case I’m sure will want to go back to the Bernabeu level at least but again I’m not watching and maybe they’re just going through the motions.

  40. Mr broke it 11 years ago

Didn’t know that one about the rule in spain Mr fixit thats quite good to know

  41. Mr broke it 11 years ago

Well if real Madrid score only m’boro would have beat my btts line, only picked swans v boro game because oxford game was off :(

  42. Leigh 11 years ago

yeah paul, tempted with the 5/2 on the draw now. think il just leave it though

  43. Flyboivince 11 years ago

    Juventus ruined my night

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Flyboivince, I think with cup games a lot of big sides such as Juventus are just trying to see it through and save themselves for the next league game.

  44. Leigh 11 years ago

what you thinking on chelsea game paul?

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Leigh, I’ve posted a piece on Chelsea. Can’t say I know much about Monterrey but bookies will and they expect Chelsea to win so I’m going with that.

  45. Anton 11 years ago

What a top class 2nd goal that was for Vigo

  46. Tommy 11 years ago

Monterrey is not a bad side, i’m just not sure their recent form coz they haven’t played a lot for about a month

  47. Craig alves 11 years ago

Canny believe sau paulo game got abandoned at ht when they were 2-0 up, had 2 £5 singles on SP -1 & over 2.5 gls, phoned up bet 365 & they say all bets voided. Gonna email them tomorrow and see if they can do anything but can’t see it, now am watching basketball after placing fiver on phoenix suns at 14/5 in play after some guidance from big American haha 27-21 down after 1st 1/4. MON THE SUNS!!!

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Craig, they won’t do anything but void it if it’s been abandoned at half-time because 45 minutes is long enough for a team to score two. Different if it was five or 10 minutes left and even then the rules say void it but usually commonsense comes in to play. See if they’ll give you a £10 free bet for the inconvenience and bad fortune. Tell them you bet on tennis correct scores and they’ll probably make it £100.

  48. Craig alves 11 years ago

Phoenix suns win by 2 points :), was 80-80 and they scored wi 5 tengths of a sec remaining haha only 19.50 back but that leaves me even after last night’s games. AC Milan to win for a free £5 bet tho
