Putting this up early as I really can’t believe the spread and think this can only increase later. Nizhny entertain AEK this evening in the Eurocup. AEK are reported to have a lot of internal issues at the moment and have lost some really good players. Things really dont look good for the near future. Today they will have the arduous task of travelling all the way from Athens to Novgorod, whats more, the climate is very different in these two cities and this has to be a factor.
Their previous 2 games have seen them lose to Galatasaray and Aris respectively and here they should lose their 3rd to a strong home side.

Don’t get me wrong, you’ve had some nice finds and wins but if you’re 350 down, you’re losing more than what you’re winning.
I broke even in November from my personal picks but I still made profit cause I’ve been following some of the regulars here (Jordan, Huggy, Hunter, Raoul), on the football thread (Greg, Desmond, Jordan, CenterCircle) and Ace’s golf tips. Taking their tips into account is also working well (for me), for example if Raoul is not having the same idea as I am, then avoiding the bet is probably the best bet :D

Cheers Oriaz. Appreciate your insight mate. It’s mainly just the NBA that’s killing me – other leagues & sports have kept me at Evens for the past few weeks. After winning a couple of $K last year on NBA I just can’t pick a game this year. Gets me so frustrated & the frustration just leads to more bad picks (picking winners is all about momentum…). Then I chase the losses on matches I wouldn’t normally touch.
i know it’s been said a thousand and one times mate, but chasing losses is what does it.
Attila maybe just take a break for a few days, and come back playing for small stakes until you get some momentum going.. aim to slowly build your bank back up.
At least you can still enjoy betting.. without risking anything major.
Another thing I did is just to note down the bets that I would have done but just not place them.
Did that beginning of the month when I hit -10 pts (which is a limit is set myself), I then just noted down my ideas and exchanged with the guys on the thread. After a few days the confidence got back and I started to get some winners.
Result at the end of the month is that the losses have been whiped out and I’ve got a healthy looking rolling challenge going.
Chasing losses is definitely not the right approach.
Oriaz, I’ve been doing the same on the NBA but my non money picks always seem to do well but as soon as I go back and place money on the NBA I lose lol. I’ve resigned myself to the fact that in the early stages of the NBA I just don’t have enough knowledge to be confident enough with my selections. I really don’t have enough time to study Euro Basketball and the NBA at the same time. It’s a slower process for me over the NBA season and usually improve in the final 3rd of the season. I remember last year, I was mainly following others on the NBA and doing reasonably well from that.
My only advice would be to stick to your strengths and build on your weaknesses with the help of others on this site. Betting ain’t easy, if it were, this site wouldn’t exist.

Was looking at cashing out for £165 at one point and in hindsight prob should have.
