I WENT double or quits with the Super Single profit with three small bets and ended up with a big fat zero.
So after a month of ups and downs the November total was break even which is better than losing.
I was more disappointed with the two trebles on Monday after spending a good deal time researching the Dutch second-tier games and putting up a write-up on each fixture. There are usually plenty of goals but just four of nine went over 2.5 goals while six saw both teams scoring and there were two 0-0s.
After being ahead for a lot of time the accas finish 7pts down for the month.
December starts with plenty of games to look at. I’ve posted a separate preview on Rangers v Dumbarton and have checked team news for the Capital One Cup quarter-finals.
Man City will be without Sergio Aguero but their line-up against Hull will be fairly strong while in contrast the Championship side are set to rotate. City -1 at 1-1 with Skybet looks decent.
Stoke should beat Sheffield Wednesday as long as they go strong but don’t expect a lot of goals. Everton will be missing James McCarthy and Gareth Barry at Middlesbrough and this is an interesting one.
There’s no doubt Everton fancy a run to the Final but have been taken to extra time by Barnsley and Norwich and a trip to the Riverside will be tougher if Boro don’t rotate. This looks a tight one but Everton may qualify.
Likewise if Everton go strong take them at a Middlesbrough outfit who should be more honed in on promotion from the Championship.
Elsewhere there are League One and League Two clashes, league games in France and cup ties from Italy and Spain.
My goals treble features both to score at Shrewsbury v Walsall and Morecambe v Dagenham. Walsall’s last five league games have brought up this market while Shrewsbury’s last two have totalled 10 goals.
Historically, Morecambe-Dagenham has been a both to score fixture with the last two on the west coast finishing 2-3 and 2-2 in the league and 4-2 to the visitors in an FA Cup replay two weeks ago. The Daggers have picked up in the last few weeks with one defeat in four while Morecambe have only won once in six and conceded four goals three times in that spell.
Complete the goals treble with under 2.5 goals at Angers v PSG. Promoted Angers have been tough to breach and sit third in the table – 15 points behind runaway leaders PSG.
Angers fans have seen fewer goals at home than Man Utd fans – eight in eight games – and they’re likely to make it tough for the champions who have averaged two goals on the road and won seven out of eight. It has the feel of a 1-0 or 2-0 PSG win but stats point to unders.
If anyone doesn’t fancy an unders with a btts double take btts at Tours v Clermont instead.
I considered away-day experts Wycombe at Bristol Rovers for the Super Single but I’v decided to take Dagenham draw no bet at 13-8 with William Hill and bet365. Having won at Morecambe in the Cup and shown signs if improvement since they look big at 13-5 to win.
For the Top Treble I’m going Man City -1, Rangers -2 and AC Milan -1AH. Milan face Serie B Crotone and word is they’ll be close to full strength with form having picked up after a poor start to the season.
