TopTips_Betfred

THERE were the usual shocks in the Europa League and Molde beat the top treble early on after missing two penalties against Zyora.

A 90th-minute goal by Elfsborg gave me a double on the both teams to score Trixie but it would have nice to get all three on a night where the games involving the three British clubs brought up this market.

My Super Single in the Daily Record was both to score at Aberdeen and while I didn't predict Stevie May to score first I flagged him up at 15-2 on what could have been his last game for St Johnstone before a move to England.

Friday night sees the start of the English football season with Blackburn entertaining Cardiff in the Championship. Rovers are being tipped by many for promotion after hanging on star striker Jordan Rhodes and seeing owners Venky's finally admit they've made a mess of things.

The additions of Chris Brown and Luke Varney further strengthens their firepower and I'm tempted by them at 7-5 with Paddy Power but even more taken by 4-5 for both teams to score. Rhodes is 4-1 at McBookie and Paddy Power to score first.

We're not sure what to expect of a much-changed Cardiff but while Steve Caulker and Frazier Campbell will be missed they have signed two players in Federico Macheda and Adam Le Fondre who know how to score in the Championship.

Elsewhere PSG launch their French title defence with an opener at Reims. PSG are a biggest 2-5 at BetVictor while Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who won us money last week by netting first in the Supercup win against GuingaBmp, is 3-1 with bet365 to break the deadlock.

PSG won both league encounters 3-0 last season and are 23-20 at McBookie to win to nil and 21-20 with Betfred minus one. It's been pointed out PSG haven't won any of their last three openers but each season they're getting stronger and face a Reims side who finished the season with four defeats out of five.

For a nice little even-money daily double I'm on PSG and Dundalk at Drogheda. The Irish league leaders proved their class by resting players but still hammering Wexford to reach the final of the EA Sports Cup. Stephen Kenny's side are formidable on the road and should win well.

In Holland PEC Zwolle proved their Dutch Cup win against Ajax last season was no fluke as they beat the champions last week to lift the Supercup. They launch the Dutch league season with a home game against Utrecht and with the last five meetings seeing both score that could be the bet at 8-13 with bet365.

Our old friends the Jupiler League are in action, including Helmond Sport, and there are French Ligue 2 games as well others from Ireland and Scandinavia. I've go to concentrate on my Record work on a Friday so these are the only tips I'll be putting up today.

Well here it is lads! The official start of the English season and what a game we have to kick us off!!

Blackburn are my tips to get promotion this season, against another team which should finish in the top 6.

The verdict tomorrow? Goals! Im sure alot of regulars will have an opinion, probably the same, which says goals should be expected in a match which sees both teams stronger up top than at the back.

Im strong on BTTS and over 2.5 goals but with it been the first game of the season caution on should really, be advised.

The main tip which has held strong with me from the end of last season however is that of Rudy Gustede. Alongside his more illustrious and prolific partner Rhodes he can be an enormous presence. They will work very well with each other, as they did at the end of last season.

I see Gustede as the better value among the goalscorers, either first or anytime. Cardiff have only 2 central defenders fit, Cala and Hudson, not first choice, so Blackburn will have chances. Gustede is a monster in the air, without Ben Turner Cardiff will be weaker in that department, Rudy can take advantage!

    Main bets

5 Pts Blackburn v Cardiff over 2.5 goals
3 Pts Blackburn win and BTTS (4/1)
    3 Pts Rudy Gustede anytime
1 Pt Rudy Gustede First goalscorer 11/2

I am going harder myself because I have links with Cardiff (not a fan) and its the first game of the season (not advisable as a long term plan). Lets take the bookies this season!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Carl D, should be goals as I’ve said. Let’s hope for an electrifying start.

Have gone for a BTTS Treble

    Genk v Lokeren
Rapid Bucuresti v Gaz Metan Medias
    Zwolle v Utrecht

Genk v Lokeren 4 of last 6 H2H have seen btts come up 3 of the 6 have also seen O2.5 goals

Rapid Bucuresti v Gaz Metan Medias 5 of last 5 H2H have seen btts come up with 4 of the 5 also getting O2.5 goals.

Mr F covered the Utrecht game

I haven’t posted many predictions so would appreciate your thoughts

psg dominated the first league in france and won the league with only 3 losses.both matches against reims psg won 3/0 so i see them winning easily here again plus the fact psg have bought some really good players by now.there is a big quality gap between the 2 teams and i expect another good game from them and to win minus 2goals,odds are to high not to be on it…

    • Centrecircle 10 years ago

      Celtic v maribor

  11. Carl D 10 years ago

I would probably go for the over 2.5 route tomorrow if better offs MrF, can see goals but as we know footie, especially opening games, can be different from form or previous.

I know you like an anytime goalscorer MrF and as a super single I would really advise Rudy, as stated before. We can get 7/4 at least and if goals are to be had he will be in and around them. We can get these odds because of Mr Rhodes and that means some value. I am taking Gustede to be top goalscorer E/W this season as he can easily hit the 15-20 mark. The way Blackburn finished last season, keeping the squad together this, they can hit lots of goals, if conceding a few.

My nomination for the SS is Rudy Gustede anytime at 7/4!

Tomorrow is the start of 9 special months!

    GL all!

  12. craigyboy 10 years ago

Completely agree with BTTS with Blackburn and Cardiff. Both teams look strong upfront and are expected to have decent seasons but Blackburn will fancy this against a relegated side still licking their wounds.

Just had a look at the weekend games and there seems to be some real value in the League 2 BTTS market. Most of the BTTS odds are showing as 11/10 for yes and there’s a few games that have caught my eye with stats really backing them up from the games between the teams in recent years. Below are the fixtures and the recent results for that particular fixture. The more recent games are to the left.

    League Two
    Accrington v Southend – 1-1, 1-1, 1-2, 3-1

    Bury v Cheltenham – 4-1, 2-3, 0-1

    Dag & Red v Morecambe – 1-1, 1-2, 1-2, 1-1

    Oxford v Burton – 1-2, 1-1, 2-2, 3-0

These aren’t tips but they are fixtures that traditionally have goals and may be worth a few quid each at 11/10 for BTTS.

CORRECTION-BLACKBURN HAVE DRAWN THERE LAST 4 GAMES.
    MY BAD :£

  16. craigyboy 10 years ago

You wont catch me backing any of the three relegated sides this weekend for a number of reasons. 1) I’m a Wolves STH and I think we can match Norwich on Sunday. Can see a draw for this one. 2) I fancy Ipswich to go well this year under McCarthy and they are usually a tough nut to crack at Portman Road. 3) Blackburn will be a dangerous team this year and can cause Cardiff problems and may just edge it.

  17. jimmybeee 10 years ago

legia warsaw under investigation for fielding a player whos was suspended in the last few minutes of the celtic match.Could the hoops be given a lifeline like before?

  18. craigyboy 10 years ago

If Legia get thrown out of the competition it would be a disgrace. The guy came on with 2mins left at an aggregate score of 6-1. Granted they need to be punished but surely throwing them out for something that wouldn’t have been done knowingly and replacing them with a weaker team isn’t good for the competition.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

craigyboy, a fine is more likely – different if it had been close.

Really Like your stats Craigy, good work!

The Dag and Red match was already on my list from L2, the other AFC Wimbledon v The Shrews. Mat Tubbs up front for the home side, Shrews have a really strong squad, BTTS for me. Theres a strong looking L2 BTTS double to get the season rolling!

  22. jimmybeee 10 years ago

rules are rules mate and with uefa anything is possible.
Don’t think it would do celtic any favours though and they would be better getting organised for the season ahead which is going to be tougher than people think.

  23. Danny T 10 years ago

Just to point out remember last season psg cost us all a few quid early on by drawing their opening 2 games 1-1 . It’s a mere observation and you do get the odd strange results early in the season. I am not trying to put anyone off psg as mr f is far more qualified than I am it’s just to put it out there really to have a good look at it before deciding to part with the hard earned. The trend goes back to 2012/13 season where psg drew the opening 3 matches of that season. In 2011/12 they lost and drew their opening 2 games . It seems to me they are slow starters in the league and maybe some value in the draw at 7/2 or the home side double chance at 9/4 . Sorry for the long post just feel that it maybe useful info. I am sure having said that psg win 7-0 and you can all feel free to call me an idiot

  24. Carl D 10 years ago

I remember years ago When We (villa) played west ham away in the League cup quarter final. They brought on an ineligible player, Omoyinmi, and had stage a replay. They won the original match. We won the replay! Ian Taylor the legend!

Just a reminder of how innocuous late subs can ruin a run, and career! last note off Omoyinmi’s career was in 2006, 1 appearance for Worthing! Sub’s beware, don’t trust your club to know if your allowed to play!

  25. craigyboy 10 years ago

The four League Two games I’ve highlighted I’ve had as an accumulator. Comes in at about 11/1. Be a nice start to the new season if that comes in :)

  26. Carl D 10 years ago

    Fingers crossed mate!

I dont tend to go of pure previous season H2H but a combination of all the usual plus gut feeling. That will be my L2 double and then a few other added as trebles and accas from the other leagues.

Good luck tho mate, I will look into the games youv’e highlighted.

    Super Single sorted.

Leyton Orient to beat Chesterfield – Evens (Various)

Spent all week looking at Championship games and one look at League One and one game jumped out at me. Don’t expect those odds of evens to stay there for long.
Leyton Orient were fantastic last season and were unlucky to miss out in the race for promotion. They wont be a one season wonder and I’m backing them to be fighting at the top again this term. With new signings Darius Henderson, Jay Simpson, and Jobi McAnuff the O’s are going to be a dangerous side going forward. Newly promoted Chesterfield haven’t really strengthened and its a tough start for them in League One. A comfortable home win in my eyes.

    • Shaun tanner 10 years ago

That is a great post craigyboy and a fantastic bet mate- I’m with you all the way. It’s also worth noting that Chesterfield struggled against teams around them (higher up the table) last season which doesn’t bode well when your stepping up a level. GL to you.

    Friday night MLS

Good day mates. I’ve been quite busy this week but have singles out a late night MLS play. Good luck if you play along.

    LA Galaxy v San Jose

In 14 all time head to head meetings the o/u is locked at 7-7 but recent form has seen a spurt of overs. Notwithstanding the last 2 meeting that finished 1-0 in favor of LA and a 0-0 draw, the prior 5 meetings went over the total of 2.5 including a 7 goal fest (4-3 SJ) and two matches that saw 5 combined goals bringing the over 2.5 to 5-2 in the last 7 H2H. The last 6 at Los Angeles have seen the over go 3-3 (2-1 last 3) with Los Angeles’ record at 3W 2D 1L with LA keeping 4 clean sheets and scoring at least 2 goals in 5 of them.

Over 2.5 is 5-4 in the Galaxy’s 9 home games this season with only 2 clean sheets. However the over is 5-2 in their last 7 at home including a most recent 3-1 win v Portland and a 5-1 win v New England in their last two home games. LA has scored in 8 of their 9 home games . Team goals over 1.5 is 5-4 on their home pitch and 5-2 in their last 7.

San Jose has played 7 road games with the under 2.5 prevailing 5-2. (1W 4L 2D) with 1 clean sheet and failing to score 4 times.

Overall, LA is 5-1 over 2.5 in their last 6 games scoring 2 or more in 4 of them. SJ is 2-4 under 2.5 in their last 6 overall.

LA is 7-3 over 2.5 in their last 10 at home v bottom 6 clubs scoring over 1.5 in 8 of those games.

Assessing all the numbers, LA to win is my favorite but the price is too high. I also think over 2.5 is the play so I have bet LA+Over 2.5 at 2.20 (Bet365).

  45. craigyboy 10 years ago

Guys I’ve checked on Betfred and it appears they’re not offering Goals Galore on their site anymore. All they have is Goals Galore Extra. Does anyone have any more information on this?

    • SWJL 10 years ago

Craigy – always used to go for BetFred as I think they were the first to come up with that particular bet (Goals Galore/BTTS). However, BetFred do not necessarily provide the best odds. Would suggest using the oddschecker site (or similar sites if they exist). Highlight the games where you think BTTS and oddschecker will tell you which bookie is paying the best odds on that particular accumulator.

  46. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Morning gents, the Perth Sainta faired much better than the bookies thought they would but couldn’t do enough to bet the second goal! Saints to score 4/5 and saints double chance 11/8 made up for AIK, haha! At 1-0 up I had the passport out of the drawer for the next round but it wasn’t to be!

On to today we are right back into the swing of things with our beloved Dutch league returning, both lower French leagues + matches from Austria, Denmark, Estonia and a few other places!

The French national league is possibly the worst league in Europe for goals but there is certainly value if you can pick out the the few matches that will have goals! I’m a big fan of the Frecnh liga 1, will post my thoughts later!

    Tomorrow it’s a full card :)

Prezzm those are the rules your management have cost your club how stupid can they be really winning easy and to bring on crazy.
    Also very patriotic raalj lol

  73. Iddy 10 years ago

CELTIC AWARDED A 3-0 win and reinstated back in Champs League. You have to laugh. I feel sorry for Legia to be honest

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Iddy, whoever allowed the banned player to be included in the Warsaw squad should be sacked. Stupid mistake that has cost the club millions of pounds.

  74. jimba 10 years ago

    C’mon lads be positive!!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

I’m positive Celtic will be humiliated in group stage jimba ;)

  75. przemm 10 years ago

I’m not a Legia Warsaw fan – I was keeping my fingers crossed for them because I’m Polish and no Polish team has played in CL for like 16 years! After winning with Celtic, Legia had a really good chance of reaching CL group stage because all teams left were ranked lower than Celtic.

I agree with Raal, and they are now investigating who is responsible for that stupid mistake.

Interstingly, there was a similar case number of years back and the team was not disqualified – just had to pay 15k EUR for that mistake

  76. jimba 10 years ago

    Lineker is a celtic fan!!!

Do they not still have another qualifying round to go yet raal??

My mistake William, excellent news. We get another evening of these splendidly well dressed and impeccably behaved chaps at Murrayfield :)

  79. jimmybeee 10 years ago

  81. Greg Browning 10 years ago

William cheers mate, always next season! Thoughts for the new season for your team?

    Cheers Raal! :)

Would advise people to keep stakes sensible tomorrow, it’s going to take a gods few weeks to understand where the goals are, who to avoid etc! One assumption you can make is their will be goals a plenty in the bottom 3 scottish leagues! :)

  82. Kieran Nasser 10 years ago

I’ve got a quick question I had Celtic to win the other day and now legia Warsaw have been thrown out will the bet I had be classed as void ? Someone help please

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Bet is a loser Kieran mate, the 2-0 result for Warsaw stands.

  83. Mattr 10 years ago

Why are they playing at Murrayfield? Crazy rule mind. The guy clearly made not one jot of difference to the outcome.

Everything I look at and read is pointing towards a Blackburn and Utrecht btts double which pays around 1.7/1 Anyone else on it? Good luck if you are.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Commonwealth games Matt. Think you also have to play your home games at the same ground so they cannot switch back to Parkhead now.

    • Marky mark 10 years ago

I’m already on that double too Matt!

    DANISH SAS-LIGAEN

    RANDERS V VESTSJAELLAND 5.30

BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE 4/5 (HILLS)

Randers are decent at home having beaten Hobro and Vestsjaelland are just banging in goals and conceding also for fun. I reckon this price will shrink so worth getting on now. Both to score and over 2.5 is 13/10 which looks excellent but I am happy on this 4/5 bet. The magic sign go 5/6 but will probably change it the minute they see more than £10 staked.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

      RUSSIAN PREMIER LEAGUE

      KUBAN KRASNODAR V ROSTOV 5.30

BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE 21/20 (CORALS)

Kuban are favourites and should win this match, they also defend quite well but Rostov are a side who will score 2 and concede 3 with their approach to matches. They lost their first game 7-3 at Dynamo Moscow and should be capable of scoring here. Both to score and Over 2.5 is nearly 2/1 and could well land but at odds against I will take the both to score bet.

    • SWJL 10 years ago

Another great shout Raal – thanks very much. Took a little while for Rostov to equalise though. Bet didn’t come in until the 25th minute.

  85. Dee 10 years ago

thanks chip…prob go for leyton straight win as double chance is short

  86. Iddy 10 years ago

Raal – I agree the person who’s mistake it was should be sacked but don’t clubs submit their squads to Uefa and so should they not also have told them beforehand that he was ineligible.
I don’t think the punishment fits the crime – agree with Mr F that a fine would have been correct here, as his 4 mins at 6-1 up didn’t affect the outcome.

  87. Dee 10 years ago

celtic were fairly beaten but the rules are rules and it brings up that whole tevez saga with west ham lol this type of stuff would never happen in booby moores days ;)

  88. przemm 10 years ago

Iddy, that wasn’t exactly the case. The thing is that Legia did not put their banned player on the list sent to UEFA and if he wasn’t on the list, his 3 games ban did not count even though he missed 3 games…

  89. przemm 10 years ago

He did not play in 2 games against St. Patrick and in the first game against Celtic but because he was not on the list sent to UEFA that did not count and he was not allowed to play in the second game against Celtic and he played from 87th minute :(

  91. William bailie 10 years ago

@greg . If we can get a striker in ( cavani bring talked about ) I think we will have a good year, I believe lovren will help board up our leaky defence . While markovic and can especially look good signings , then there’s lallanna tho he’s out for a while :( and lambert who’s looked rather off the pace in pre season . All things considered im hopefull for another good season under the guidance of in my humble opinion one of the best young managers in Europe ! Looking forward to those champions league anfield nights as I’m sure we are all aware ITS BEEN A WHILE !! ;) YNWA Redmen !!

  92. craigyboy 10 years ago

Rules are rules and shouldn’t be broken I accept that but surely common sense should have prevailed here.
The player in question had absolutely no bearing on the game whatsoever coming onto the field with an aggregate score of 6-1. I’d love to know if he actually touched the ball!
I suppose the argument here is well at what point does a player influence a game. Does have to play ten mins or more? Does he have to get an assist or score? The answer is really up in the air and probably why this call has been made. Its heart breaking for the Polish team who lets be honest demolished a poor Celtic team and would have won if the player they brought off was replaced with nobody. I wouldn’t even say its great news for Celtic. Another qualifying round to get through on the back of knowing they shouldn’t really be there. Its very much a grey area but I think common sense would have been at the very least replayed the 2nd leg with the Polish team funding the re-played game in the way of a fine. Awarding the game to Legia but handing them a hefty fine.
For me no team is a winner here and that what makes the whole thing a bit sad.

  93. Greg Browning 10 years ago

    Troyes v Tours KO 7pm

The 1st round of fixtures last week proved to be very profitable, two sides a lot of will be familiar with from last season meet tonight! 8 of the last 10 meetings ended over 2.5 goals with both teams scoring in all 8! The last 5 at Troyes were all BTTS and over 2.5 l! Both sides are strong going forward but are always likely to concede! I’m certain I posted both meetings last year over 2.5 – same agin tonight!

    Back over 2.5 goals 1/1

      Greg,
I agree, btts single, good one

  94. Mattr 10 years ago

Oh I see Raal, knew it was because of the games but didn’t know they had to keep playing there then. That would be for ‘whole’ European campaign?

  95. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Mattr, Celtic still miles ahead of all the other scottish clubs mate but Aberdeen to finish second is probably my ante post NAP

  96. raaljaca 10 years ago

When they get put into the Europa League they may be able to switch back to Parkhead I think Matt but there last Champions League game before the Europa has to be here.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

raaljaca, Maribor tie’s definitely at Celtic Park. Pitch has been relaid and ground will be ready.

  97. Mattr 10 years ago

:-) Raal do you think there is any chance Aberdeen could actually win the title?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Mattr, Aberdeen’s chances of winning the title are the same as Celtic’s of winning the Champions League.

  98. Dee 10 years ago

@William i agree with you fully and in addition to Markovic i feel sterling and coutiniho have improved a lot ..However I rate Rodgers but fear he may have an ego problem..both agger and reina were fan favourites and ultimately he has driven them out. But I see us competing with our midfield

  99. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Good stuff William, hope the new players settle in quickly! Totally agrees about BR, not heard a bad word said about him! Lambert was a really strange signing! No disrespect to him but if Liverpool have serious ambitions of Soing well in Europe and challenging for the title, Lambert in my opinion just lacks the extra bit of quality that you need at that level! For me, His level is maybe a Villa or a Newcastle!

  100. Mattr 10 years ago

    Cheers Marky. You too.

  101. Alex 10 years ago

Absolute shocker of a decision by UEFA with reinstating Celtic. I am not sure of the difference between the Debrecen scenario 4 years ago and this but Debrecen were permitted to continue in the Champion’s league.

BBC ” However, in 2010, Uefa fined Debrecen £15,000 but rejected a protest from opponents Litex Lovech, who wanted the Hungarian side kicked out of the tournament for fielding an ineligible player.

Debrecen argued that they fielded Peter Mate in good faith as a substitute in Bulgaria when they were leading 4-1 on aggregate.

Uefa ruled that Debrecen had “no interest in fielding this player for the three last minutes of additional time, when the score was so clearly in its favour”.

I don’t see why Legia do not appeal straight away. Clearly it did not impact the end result in any way shape or form. Nosensical result in my opinion!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Alex, maybe rules have changed since Debrecen, I don’t know, but it seems clear a 3-0 is awarded in these cases.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Alex the difference is between ineligible and suspended mate. The player in the Debrecen was not suspended he just did not qualify to be fielded whereas the Warsaw player was banned from playing in the tie. Small difference but huge consequences.

    • Alex 10 years ago

Raal- I have not looked at the nuances as to the differences between the two case but either way whatever way you look at it neither player was entitled to play full stop. A bit of an anomally when the punishment is so punitive in the current instance. It’s football that loses out mate that’s the main thing that bugs me it’s supposed to be a competition for the best teams and Celtic were not up to much.

  102. Chris Guy 10 years ago

    YESSSS Lol Celtic reinstated.

Ok firstly we all Celtic played crap against Legia Warsaw and the inelegible player they fielded made no difference to the result. Celtic would still have been beaten without a doubt. I find it really funny that he only played 3 mins too. Even if Celtic were to get gubbed in the Champions League that’s fine but all I’m happy about is the possibility of a £10m windfall payment if they get to the group stages. That will be massive for the club. At the end of the day rules are rules. It’s got to be black and white, no grey areas. It’s just sheer stupidity of the Legia Warsaw team and sheer delight of the Celtic fans.

  103. Andy f 10 years ago

I put a bet on Celtic winning on Wednesday does that bet now become void or a winning bet as they have been awarded the tie 3 nil, any info guys?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Andy f, everyone who backed Celtic to qualify must check with their bookie to see if they have won. Ladbrokes have already paid out as a “goodwill gesture”. I don’t think anyone will pay out on any other bets as they have to settle on the actual match result which was 2-0 Legia.

    Angers v Arles KO 7pm

Like a lot of Fench clubs, Arles are on of those clubs who are awful away from home! They are without an away win in 16 matches and picked up a paltry 11 points away from last season! Angers finished mid table last year and have had a decent pre season despite losing 3-2 away last week! Angers have won the last 4 meetings at home between the sides and given most of Arles good work is done at home, the bookies are being generous with the 19/20 for the home win

    Back Angers 19/20

  106. William bailie 10 years ago

Point taken Greg tho 1 thing I will say is that as a reds fan I’m sure class or not rickie will run himself into the ground for the cause! As for Mr Rodgers !! Was never in doubt that my countryman was destined for big things :) good solid ulster man !!

    Celtic v maribor

  108. Chris Guy 10 years ago

If Legia Warasw hadn’t had fielded that player then Celtic could have scored 6 goals in the last 3 mins. Unlikely but nothing is impossible. Regardless of wether people think this is fair or unfair, UEFA deem this to be a fair decision as they had broken the rules. If they didn’t know the rules then they shouldn’t even be playing at this level. I do feel a tad sorry for their players and their fans but I’m a Celtic man so not going to complain. With 3 mins remaining why would they even feel the need to bring on a sub. A costly error by management and an expensive lesson learned. I’m sure they won’t make the same mistake again.

    • Alex 10 years ago

Chrisguy- there has to be consistency in how they apply their decisions across the board.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Chris, don’t be silly. Having scored one goal in 180 mins Celtic couldn’t have scored six in 3 mins. This is Legia’s mess and Celtic are lucky to benefit.

  109. Chip 10 years ago

Andy, as stated by other before in this thread, the bet is a loss.

  110. przemm 10 years ago

Legia has just announced that they will send the case (after receiving an official justification of the decision from UEFA) to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne

  111. przemm 10 years ago

Chris, I see your point but UEFA should be consistent and technically if Debrecen got 15k EUR penalty, so should Legia

    • Alex 10 years ago

przemm-I have a very good friend who is close to Legia and have been talking to him about this issue. I see no reason why Legia cannot say that they fielded the player in good faith i.e. an honest mistake and that his role during those 2 minutes did not and could not have influenced the result in the slightest. If UEFA are to be seen as fair there is only one logical outcome.

    • przemm 10 years ago

Alex, agree with you 100%, mate!

Question: Celtic was awarded 3-0 win and qualified on away goals. If Legia had won 5-1 at home and not 4-1, would they still be in CL despite UEFAs decision? :)

  116. Greg Browning 10 years ago

    Cretail v Chateauroux KO 5pm

If you think Arles are bad from home Chateauroux take the award for the worst away team in the league! They collected just 9 points last season! Apart from Thier sole win last year,’you have to go back to March 2012 For their last away win! ( 1 win in 43 away mathes is horrendous) Creatil are decent at home and and won both meeting last year!

  129. Recoba1980 10 years ago

Agree Chris but as happy as I am it worries me that we could be first team to get pamped out the Champions league TWICE!

Lawall and Co had no intentions off making the Champions league and would be more than happy to keep our money and hope that the Europa league group would just about keep fans happy while Delia etc get bedded in. They definitely got Europa now so they be dining with meatballs tonight while we watch all this from behind the sofa.
They still think the signings from last season are going to magically step up to the plate, which one or two might but IF we make it and they still don’t spend then it could be REALLY painful to watch.
As the BATE Borisov game might be as it will take more than another week to sort this team out.

Hope am completely wrong and players an oaches grasp this chance like there careers depend on it,as it may just for some.
Ps its a real strange happy I feel and certainly feel for Legia..who have appealed so not done yet but have asked UEFA for “reasoning” GL with that!

  130. TommyTucker 10 years ago

Noticed Fleetwood are evens to win at home against Crewe tomorrow in League 1.

A team on the up signing new players (we have seen plenty of back-to-back promotions so moving up a level might not be as daunting as it once was) against a team who just scraped survival last year on the last day, and who have lost a couple of their key forwards since then too.

Any views on this would be appreciated, as that info is from my instinct, but missed the RP this past week so don’t know any details which could help with the decision making.

I’m thinking of putting it on a double with Orient to win at home to Chesterfield, double pays 3/1.

    What do you guys reckon?

    • craigyboy 10 years ago

I did consider Fleetwood Tommy. Another very reasonably priced game by the bookies. Crewe are really fancied to go down and the confidence at Fleetwood will be high. Its a good shout. As I’ve had the single on Orient I may go for a treble which will include Fleetwood and Preston. Haven’t decided on the third team. Considering Peterborough at Rochdale.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Skoosh, just back in. Bookies don’t have to pay out on anything other than what happened in the match. That’s in their rules so I’d be amazed if anyone paid out on 3-0 Celtic. I’ve had an email from Ladbrokes saying as a “goodwill gesture” they will pay out bets on Celtic to qualify but not anything else. Don’t know what others are doing.

Just been in contact with betfair regarding the celtic result and they say exchange bets will stand because the announcement was not made within 24hrs, but any bets made through the betfair sports book may be resettled as their traders have not made a decision yet.

    • przemm 10 years ago

I had the same situation in the past with Betfair Sportsbook (not exchange) and they resettled my bet as a winner!

  139. Mattr 10 years ago

Spurs have drawn Limassol. Should be straight forward enough.

I made it clear that if my bet on celtic to win is not refunded as a gesture of goodwill then I will be closing my account. Let’s make a stand after all they are happy to take our money time after time, let’s c them do the right thing for a change

  141. craigyboy 10 years ago

I think people looking for refunds on the Celtic game are letting this get out of hand. Celtic lost 2-0. The games only been awarded 3-0 because of an administration error. The bookies don’t have to pay out or offer a refund of any kind.

  142. William bailie 10 years ago

FC Flora v Tallinna Infonet over 2.5 goals @4/7

JK Lokomotiv v JK Sillamae Kalev over 2.5 goals@2/7

JK Tammeka Tartu v JK Tallinna Kalev under 3.5 goals @1.6

    Treble @2.23/1

The first game sees two teams that are capable of scoring home and away. It might be a tight affair but head to heads are good. The second game is the one I am most sure about and I will be taking that as a single over 1.5 fhg @1.9 and over 3.5 mg @1.725. The last game sees the two worst defences come up against each other. The problem is they don’t score many either. Tammeka average a goal a game and Kalev even less so I am going for unders here. Only 4 of their last 14 encounters have gone over 3.5 goals. Watch them go and blow each other out of the water!

    • Yugo 10 years ago

Will be on them games myself Alex, will wait for the in-play markets though I think.

    • Alex 10 years ago

Good luck Yugo, the Flora game has the potential to go haywire. Despite strong attacks there is always a risk that the defences cancel eachother out so I may monitor that as a single.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Mattr, Celtic are still streets ahead of the rest. Aberdeen can beat them in a one-off game but will drop a lot of points to teams round about them. Jury’s out on Deila and of course there are no big signings but possibly Champions League money now.

  148. banksie 10 years ago

    przemm
there is no comparison with debrecen as they fielded an ineligible player and warsaw fielded a suspended player. warsaw didn’t register the player for the st.pats game allowing a full compliment of 25 players in their squad, but still counted the games as part of his 3 game ban from the europa cup last season. A massive mistake, which can only help scotland try and salvage some kind of progress in their co-efficient. The rules are clear, if you field a suspended player the result is a 3-0 defeat.

    • przemm 10 years ago

      banksie
thanks for sharing your opinion. I don’t think I can fully agree with it though. Suspended player is in other words ineligible to play – I don’t think the difference between these two terms (if any) is as big as 15k EUR penalty compared to 3-0 defeat which means kicking out of the tournament.

Massive mistake by Legia, with that I fully agree.

THE NEW SEASON IS HERE, gutted for Legia but happy for the Scots

  151. SWJL 10 years ago

The Austria 1 Liga seems to have it’s fair share of goals. For what it’s worth, I’ll be on an over 2.5 goals double (small stakes) on the Austria Lustenau and Kapfenberg games.

  152. Andy f 10 years ago

Cheers mr f mine’s was a single win with stan james I’ll give them a bell and see what there stance is

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Andy f, don’t expect or demand to be paid out – just ask. It’s not something they usually pay out on – if it was they’d have to withhold payments on every match in case there was a dispute.

  153. Tony g 10 years ago

Mr f looking for a bit of advise here if the celtic game the other night was void surely bookmakers have to refund all losing bets no ?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Tony g, the rules clear and I’ve already said bookies don’t need refund anything. They must pay out on 2-0 Legia – anything else would be a goodwill gesture.

  154. Jack Fenn 10 years ago

Hi guys, ahead of tomorrow I’m going for a treble, going to give you the very simple reasons:

Leyton Orient to beat Chesterfield at evens: Craigyboy has already given several good reasons.
Derby to beat Rotherham at 4/7: Rotherham are newly promoted and Derby are at home and one of mine/the bookies favourites for promotion.
Preston to beat Notts County @ 8/13: Preston are again at home and one of the favourites for promotion and Notts County only just about survived relegation. Notts County away against a top 12 side last season, and Preston won 8 out of 1

  155. banksie 10 years ago

    przemm
Think it’s horrific for the warsaw players, but imagine a player being suspended in the semi for a final, but the team decide to play him and he has a great game, resulting in them winning the trophy. Would the runners up be happy with a 15k fine for the team. Uefa are not interested in what the score was at the time in the celtic game as they apply the rules to their laws as and when they are broken.

    • przemm 10 years ago

      banksie
There are 2 things I suppose. First a question whether UEFA’s law says if a player that should not be playing, takes part in the game and penalty is clear and it is 3-0. I’m not sure that’s the case. If it was, why the whole commitee was debating today for over an hour on the decision to make?
I think their law may not specify the penalty and it is always the comitee’s decision to make after looking at individual case.
In your (very valid) example the penalty should be different than in Legia’s case. There are different situations and for me all aspects should be taken into consideration.

It is definitely horrific for Warsaw players. As I was saying, I’m not a Legia fan but because it is a Polish team and no Polish team has played in Champions League for the last 16 years and Legia was very close this year, I feel like I was punched in the face.

  156. Jack Fenn 10 years ago

Hi guys, ahead of tomorrow I’m going for a treble @ 4/1, going to give you the very simple reasons:

Leyton Orient to beat Chesterfield at evens: Craigyboy has already given several good reasons.
Derby to beat Rotherham at 4/7: Rotherham are newly promoted and Derby are at home and one of mine/the bookies favourites for promotion.
Preston to beat Notts County @ 8/13: Preston are again at home and one of the favourites for promotion and Notts County only just about survived relegation. Notts County away against a top 12 side last season, and Preston won 8 out of 12 matches at home vs the bottom 12.

For a single I’m going to go for Middlesborough at home to Birmingham. Middlesborough have kept their key men, and under Karanka have been very hard to score against keeping 9 clean sheets in 15 games. Birmingham really struggled to pick up points towards the end of last season and for me Middlesborough at 5/6 is a good price.

  157. Richard 10 years ago

Just my tuppence worth but as a massive Celtic fan who was at murrayfield it’s totally embarrassing to get humped by a clearly better side but still qualify on a technicality – wouldn’t grudge it at all if legia got it overturned on appeal

    • cooldude 10 years ago

Richard, Im pretty sure it wont be overturned if an appeal is made. The main message the authorities are sending out is field an ineligible and suffer the consequences.

    • cooldude 10 years ago

      *player*

    • przemm 10 years ago

agree, it won’t be overturned – games will be played as they are. The only thing that may happen (very unlikely though) is some kind of financial compensation for Legia. If the court agrees with Legia of course

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Richard, the club probably feel embarrassed too but it’s not Celtic’s fault. Legia flagged this up themselves and UEFA have acted without any encouragment from Celtic.

Afternoon Lads Football season kicks off tomorrow and i cant wait been looking at stats, comments, websites etc since tuesday and lost some life but hopefully it will all come together starting tomorrow!!.

Im am going to be specifically looking at the conference national, north & south and scottish division 3 on the advice of some on here that it can be profitable with good research and will be sticking with either BTTS or Overs. Its early days and no doubt it will be crazy with strange results at this time of season but it should steady as the season goes along.

Ive picked a few out after heavy research and hope to emulate some class tippers on here but will go small stakes untill i see decent form.

All the best for season lads

    • Marky mark 10 years ago

Cheers for heads up Raal , having read the Exeter fans forum, none of them were confident prior to the illness bug and now are convinced they’re on to hiding with their manager registering himself as a player for tomorrow (which a lot of them seem to be very embarrassed about)

Lumped on at 6/5 as a single!

  162. Bob H 10 years ago

for anyone still keen to pursue a payout on Celtic to beat Legia warsaw last Wednesday, the UEFA.com website now has the match result shown as 3-0. Paddy Power online are NOT paying out on Celtic -2

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Bob H, it’s my last word on this – bookies don’t have to pay out on any Celtic result except what actually happened. Giving Celtic a 3-0 win isn’t what bookies settle on. The score was 2-0 Legia and for betting that stands. Well done to Ladbrokes or anyone else settling on Celtic (and Legia) to qualify but they don’t have to do it.

  163. Bob H 10 years ago

    Derby, Preston, Portsmouth …5/1

    • przemm 10 years ago

Richard, Mr F is correct. The issue was not raised by Celtic. It was raised by UEFA delegate.

  168. Elliott 10 years ago

I lost an 8 fold accumulator on the Celtic result the other night worth over £200. I needed over 2.5 goals. Is it wishful thinking to think the bookies might pay out now the score is a 3-0 win for Celtic or could they even void the result??

  169. Leveller 10 years ago

Really looking forward to betting action again starting tonight. I’m going for a little £5.00 double with
    Psg
    Blackburn
Both to win and return me £15 to get my betting off to a nice winning start.
I can’t see psg not winning and the same with Blackburn as I think Cardiff will struggle this season mainly due to Their behind the scenes antics with Mr Tan. I think it could be a long difficult season for OGS he struggled last season and I think he could be out of his depth at Cardiff.
Good luck with your bets everyone.

Although it,s harsh on Legia now that Celtic have qualified I think bookmakers should pay out on bets for Celtic to qualify after all the bet was to qualify and they have. That,s what I,ve emailed skybet who are not paying out my £50 at 7-1 for Celtic to qualify.

  173. mark 10 years ago

Hey Mr F question for you or anyone else the celtic match with the result changing do bookmakers pay out for celtic?

Hi guys I’m looking for a bit of help. Hi, I placed a 4 team accumulator the other night. The teams were zenit -1 handicap, red bull Salzburg -1 handicap and steaua Bucharest to win which all came in. The other team I had on was Celtic who lost 0-2. Celtic have now been awarded a 3-0 victory as legia Warsaw fielded an in eligible player, what happens to my bet? Does that mean I will win my bet as Celtic should be void?

Mr F I have incorporated your double with the Blackburn game going BTTS after reading a lot of comments on here. GL all! 181. Stephen 10 years ago

MarkS, i think he has to, they were hammered over the 2 legs .celtic have been given a 2nd chance and lawell hopefully knows that by now. That team has no chance of qualifying unless they buy quality players and they must do that ASAP

  182. Chip 10 years ago

Will people please read the comments above before asking the same question over and over again – check with your bookmaker if you will receive a fee from Celtic going through to the next round. Most likely you will not get your money because they didn’t win the game. Please read the comments which have already been answered before asking.

  183. przemm 10 years ago

Let’s assume Legia won the first game 3-0 and then won the second game 2-0 but that second game was later awarded 3-0 to Celtic. Who would qualify in that situation? :)

And finally to clear up all first goalscorer bets in the 3-0 victory; :)

CELTIC have invented a fictional hero to take credit for the three goals it never scored.

The club was awarded a completely made-up 3-0 Champions League qualifying victory over Legia Warsaw after the Polish team accidentally fielded an invincible football robot for two minutes of injury time.

Now the Glasgow club has honoured the achievement by awarding the goals to the fictional attacking midfielder, Declan Sanchez.

A club spokesman said: “Declan is a working class boy from Galway whose grandfather was an Argentinian human rights activist and a close friend of Che Guevara.

“Declan joined Celtic at the age of seven after being spotted by Kenny Dalglish, adopted by Charlie Nicholas and trained by Henrik Larsson. When he is not creating and scoring magnificent goals he writes poetry about imperialist oppression.

“And he has the voice of an angel.”

My bets for today are as follows:

BTTS in the Blackburn and Randers games reasoning has been covered already, prices vary but both @8/11

BTTS and O2.5 mg at the Oss v Volendam game, last five meetings have seen this come in, price @4/6

Then going to the Austrian Regionalliga Central for ATSV Wolfsberger v AC Wolsberger, ATSV first game finished 2-1 and their oppenents lost 5-2, should see goals here and O2.5 mg is all that is available right now on bet365 @8/15.

Four fold pays 7.6/1 but advise caution considering it’s a four fold.

    Good luck gents.

  189. Pedro 10 years ago

Mr F, as a supporter, I am glad that you mentioned Derby as your Championship tip in your article the other day.
However, I do not think we will win the league. We haven’t really strengthened over the summer and the injury to Thorne is a big blow. I do not know much about our replacement for him, from Madrid. For the past two seasons I’ve said that Keogh is a liability, and that proved in the play off final – we need another centre half.
We do, however, in my opinion, have the best coach in the league, so I am confident that we will make the top 6, and 5/6 is a decent price. I will say that we should beat Rotherham, although I never bet on Derby. Good luck if you do.

  190. Pedro 10 years ago

    League 1:
    Preston vs Notts County

Preston will be there or thereabouts again this year, and I expect them to overcome a Notts County team that struggled away from home last year

    Back Preston at 4/7

    League 2:
    Exeter vs Portsmouth

With Paul Tisdale making the news for registering for tomorrow’s match, Exeter’s problems are now public knowledge. Portsmouth will be looking to get promoted this year after four or five nightmare seasons.

    Consider Portsmouth at 23/20

Fleetwood and MK Dons also look decent shouts at home with odds of about evens. I’ve also mentioned derby in my previous post.

  191. Jack Fenn 10 years ago

PEC Zwolle to beat Utrecht @ evens.

Zwolle were fantastic yet again in beating Ajax in the Dutch Super Cup. These teams finished next to each other in the Eredivise last season, but Utrecht were very poor away from home. Zwolle could build on last season as long as they manage to turn a few of their many draws into wins. Although Zwolle were not fantastic at home lasts season, Utrecht are trying to build a bit of a new squad.

The over 2.5 is of course always a fantastic option in the Eredivise but at 13/20, I’m not going to be straight on it.

Added a single home win for Shamrock Rovers who will be taken charge for the first time tonight by former Hibs manager, Pat Fenlon. Rovers’ home form was very solid until the recent events that saw Trevor Crolly lose his job unfolded. Up until a few weeks ago they had only lost to the top two, Cork and Dundalk. Derry travel to Dublin with something of an injury crisis with a minimum of four players out. Top marksman, Rory Patterson is highly likely to miss out for The Candystripes.

Not a great time betting in Europe this week so back to the English Leagues.

    Considerations for Saturday
    Derby win win
    Orient win win
    Preston win win

    Portsmouth win (Raal)

Had a good look at some stats for English leagues over summer break and looking at value bets on win, win/win and HT/FT. Lower strike rate but looking at improved profit.

Picked out earlier in week for 4 home win acc
    Middlesbrough, Watford, Bradford & Preston

Legia Warsaw aka We Are The Poles (WATP)

Legia Warsaw Is a special case, a team that deserves to be treated different from all the other clubs.

Unless Legia Warsaw is immediately reinstated, I predict a football Armageddon.

The Champions League can not survive with out Legia Warsaw!

Who are these nameless people that sit on the Uefa council? I demand their names, addresses, home phone numbers, the childrens ages & what school/nursery they attend. If they have nothing to hide then why not give me the information I request? I ask only for transparency.

    My final evidence is as follows;

My mate down the pub reckons that in The Warsaw Convention 1929, he’s sure that it states Legia are special & should not have to follow the rules. Rules are only for diddy teams..

    RUSSIAN PREMIER LEAGUE

    KUBAN KRASNODAR V ROSTOV 5.30

BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE 21/20 (Coral)

Kuban are favourites and should win this match, they also defend quite well but Rostov are a side who will score 2 and concede 3 with their approach to matches. They lost their first game 7-3 at Dynamo Moscow and should be capable of scoring here. Both to score and Over 2.5 is nearly 2/1 and could well land but at odds against I will take the both to score bet.

    ** WON ** :) ** :) **

    Evening Guys Blackburn v Cardiff

The new season gets underway and hopefully it could produce goals. Cardiff will be without two centre backs Juan Cala and Ben Turner, and have lost Steven Caulker from last season.

In attack both sides have a wealth of attacking options. Cardiff have the likes of Adam Le Fondre, Nicky Maynard, Kenwyne Jones and Federico Macheda. Blackburn will rely heavily on Jordan Rhodes, but will hope Luke Varney, Chris Brown and Rudy Gestede can take some of the burden. I think with this attacking talent and Cardiff’s injuries at the back, I am taking O2.5g 1/1 Paddy Power.

Other bets I like are both teams to score, and I think Blackburn could win this at 13/10 Various. Blackburn finished last season strongly and Cardiff may take a while to find their feet. In the end I went to the goal scorer market and Jordan Rhodes who scored 25 in 48 last season and is 6/5 Betvictor. If it is a high scoring game then he could exploit Cardiff backline and 13/2 to grab 2+ looks a small wager at 13/2 Paddy Power.

    OVER 2.5 GOALS 1/1
    RHODES TO SCORE 6/5
    RHODES TO SCORE 2+ 13/2

Good luck if your having a bet

    Przemm,

It was a tongue in cheek piece as the forum was being inundated with comments about the Celtic V Legia game.

Also Scottish football has previous for moving the goal posts when it suits it. It is a shame for Legia. Rules are rules. I think Mr F’s World deserves a capital. It’s in the rules….

  241. Horsing Around 10 years ago

I recall last season Cardiff City were good for corners.

Going to have a punt on over 5.5 Cardiff City corners tonight at 1.83.

    Small stakes.

  242. MonLosBlancos 10 years ago

I have decide to avoid accumulators this week at football as there is always one that game in Euro games that kills an otherwise on paper good acc.

    HULL V AS TRENCIN

I can’t back Hull @1.28, Hull may very well win & win well, but for an inexperienced European campaigner those odds are too short. Trencin is available DC @ 3.50 and 10.00 for a win. I am going with

    Trencin DC @ 3.50 *LOST*

    ABERDEEN V REAL SOCIEDAD

Real Sociedad is better for this return leg after being forced to shaking of the cobwebs last week.

    Real Sociedad (-1) @ 2.60 (-2) @ 5.50 (small stake) *LOST*

If playing, Agirretxe to score 2 or more @ 11.00 DIDN’T Play
    ——-
Apologies to anyone who followed my tips. Trencin scored within 2 minutes & could have been cashed out for a decent return.

  244. MonLosBlancos 10 years ago

Raal, I missed your BBTS Kuban tip, but noticed you thought Kuban was likely victors.

I placed a win for Kubin with 63 on the clock, 30 seconds later Kuban scored. I cashed out for double my money as soon as an offer was made. Thanks Raal.

JK Lokomotiv v JK Sillamae Kalev over 2.5 goals@2/7 FINISHED 1-2

JK Tammeka Tartu v JK Tallinna Kalev under 3.5 goals @1.6 FINISHED 2-0

    Treble @2.23/1 WIN :P

The first game sees two teams that are capable of scoring home and away. It might be a tight affair but head to heads are good. The second game is the one I am most sure about and I will be taking that as a single over 1.5 fhg @1.9 and over 3.5 mg @1.725. The last game sees the two worst defences come up against each other. The problem is they don’t score many either. Tammeka average a goal a game and Kalev even less so I am going for unders here. Only 4 of their last 14 encounters have gone over 3.5 goals. Watch them go and blow each other out of the water!

I also lumped on the Kalev game at under 2.5 5/4 and under 3.5 4/7 bigger stake!!

Have to feel sorry for Legia Warsaw, who knows when they will next get a realistic chance of getting into Europe’s elite football competition. Celtic are there year in year out rubbing shoulders and regularly beating the giants of the CL at home at least and will realise how lucky this reprieve is.

Let’s hope Legia can take this one on the chin and come back stronger for it. A very harsh lesson at the pinnacle of club football.

It was pointed out to me today that a pro golfer can win a major by 20 shots and still not pick up the trophy due to a technicality signing a wrong score on his card, even signing for a higher score. Harsh world in elite sport.

A little bit from talkSPORT about the Arsenal v Man City game on Sunday…

The Gunners have had a mixed pre-season, despite Chilean World Cup star Alexis Sanchez’s arrival, and finished with just two wins and two defeats from the summer.

Manager Arsene Wenger has fitness concerns going into Sunday’s Wembley showdown and he admitted his team, particularly frontman Olivier Giroud, aren’t physically ready after last weekend’s 1-0 Emirates Cup defeat to Monaco.

The season’s curtain-raiser offers Arsenal another quick silverware tilt and the opportunity for Wenger to assess his team’s condition, minus its German World Cup winning trio, before their Premier League campaign kicks off against Crystal Palace next Saturday.

Even though Arsenal beat City 4-0 in the 1934 Community Shield – the last time the sides met in the competition – Wenger’s biggest concern will be preventing another 6-3 City drubbing eight months on.

    ——–

I think the main point to take from that is the fact that Wenger has admitted his team are unfit for the game on Sunday. City are priced as high as 5/4 to win in 90 mins so I reckon they’re well worth a bet. Podolski, Ozil and Mertesacker are all doubtful for the match.

    Just a thought :)

    Decent night in Framnce :)

    2-0 WIN :)

    Back Cretail 4/5

    3-0 WIN :)

    Troyes 1-0 Tours LOSE

freak result in france cmtfk! PSG

As I said just an observation rather than a tip but hopefully some of you got on to this psg trend in their early games

    • MonLosBlancos 10 years ago

      Danny T,

I was going to include PSG as a banker in a few bets today & over the weekend. But after reading your post earlier, I decided to leave out PSG as I wasn’t prepared to back -1 to get decent odds. The odds for a straight win put me off totally.

      Well done Danny,

Thanks for saving several of my bets this weekend.

    • Danny T 10 years ago

Mon if I have helped save money then I am just as happy with that as winning it . Like I say it wasn’t a tip to back Reims as such it’s more to be wary of psg in the fact that they seem slow starters had this game been in October I would have been on psg. Glad I have helped you though mate thanks

  306. William bailie 10 years ago

Jonny j freak result?? I must disagree as this resembles far too many match days last season with this over paid bunch of twats ! As Danny pointed out !

Raal…..How confident are you that Ghana will score….??? That’s all I need to know.???

    • Danny T 10 years ago

Harpeet Noth Korea most recent game saw them go 2-0 up then kind of capitulate so my thinking is they are not the most solid at the back however Ghana haven’t much recent form to go off . I think they will score but that’s just my opinion as you say it’s more important to find out how confident raal is as he knows about every sport in the known universe mate

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Harpreet, I didn’t tip the game because I was worried about Korea managing to score. The fact they are 1 up means Ghana have to attack them, Ghana are a very defensive side at this level, and Korea do concede. Womens under 20 football though is not something you can rely on.

madmanRab, Hills do have Australian Premier Divisions up by Friday night. If you use oddschecker mate it will show you who is pricing individual games

  333. MonLosBlancos 10 years ago

Glad to read that Danny T,

I was watching it streamed and got 3.70 for Sevilla to win shortly before the first goal. The benefit of B.E.T 3 6 5
is that its cash out is second to none when you have a (-1) bet, it almost always offers a great cash-out when it goes 1-0 in the match.

I managed to get better odds last week, you can get Sevilla against Real, DC @ 3.00 and to win @ 7.75. My thinking is Sevilla to get the first goal allows a decent cash-out on both the above bets. Sure Real Madrid on its day can beat most teams by 3 or more, I will post well before Tuesday.

Was waiting for tomorrow’s thread but no sign so here’s some thoughts for late night games

    Argentina Primera Division

    Rosario Central vs Quilmes 00:30

It’s the first game of the season so obviously no form as yet so looked back at historical meetings

Rosario finished above Quilmes in both the Torneo Inicial and Torneo Final stages of the league. Their home record in the Inicial was P9 W5 D2 L2 finishing 10th and in the Final was P10 W4 D5 L1 where they finished 8th.

Quilmes had an away record of P10 W3 D1 L6 in the Inicial stage finishing 18th before improving slightly to P9 W3 D2 L4 in the Final stage when finishing 14th

Head to head is strongly in Rosario’s favour as they have won 5 of their last 7 meetings including all of the last 3 and have not conceded in their last 5 against Quilmes.

Rosario Central to win @ 1.90

    Mexican Liga Ascenso

Mineros de Zacatecas vs Dorados 01:30

These two sides have had greatly differing starts to the season as Mineros currently sit top with 7 points from their opening 3 games and it’s worth pointing out the two sides they beat currently sit 4th and 6th as they won their other two games.

Dorados sit 12th from 14 having taken only 2 points from their opening 3 games and both of these came at home. They haven’t played anyone currently higher than 8th and lost 4-0 in their last away match to 9th placed Atletico San Luis.

    Mineros to win @ 2.00

    Mexico Liga MX

    Veracruz vs Monterrey 2:30am

Again these are two sides who’ve had very different starts to the season.

Veracruz sit in 15th out of 18 having taken two points from their opening 3 games but unusually enough these came away from home.

Monterrey are currently in 3rd with 7 points from 3 games which does include one draw at home with 6th placed Santos Laguna

H-2-H also looks good for Monterrey as they’ve won last 3 on the spin although to be fair only two of these matches are recent but with fairly comfortable 3-0 and 4-1 victories (for reference they won the previous meeting 7-2) it looks like they enjoy Veracruz

Well done with all your winners mate, saw you had some good ones, shame every night can’t be like it but thats betting for you, :)
