THE season's started well and yesterday myself and Greg both had a full house of winners.
To be fair my Super Single of St Johnstone draw no bet was void but the goals treble won at 4-1 and Top Treble came in at 5-2. Bet of the Day for members also trapped at 6-4 and my challenge bet won too.
All Greg's tips on Lucerne v Basel landed and he got his late goals – two in fact – at QPR.
It won't always be like this but for me the first weekend of the season is one of the toughest to make a profit and we've done it easily.
Today there are a few games scattered across Europe but none from the big leagues. I'm not putting up a Bet of the Day or Challenge bet simply because I'm not an expert on any of the leagues featured tonight.
If it wasn't for the profit showing on the accumulators it would be a no bet day but after a bit of research I've decided to go with a Daily Double. Team news is sketchy at best and I'd advise a gamble on this only if you've followed the other winners this month.
HullShaker has advised both teams to score in the three Dutch Erste League games and of course that came up in every game on Friday. It's a goal-laden league and tonight's match see six teams complete weekend one.
It's Jong Ajax v Emmen, Jong PSV v Den Bosch and RKC v Telstar. Sometimes how games go depends on the strength of the Jong teams but I wouldn't put anyone off taking goals here.
Biggest game of the night is possibly Stuttgart v St Pauli in Bundesliga 2. It will be a 54,000 sellout after relegated Stuttgart sold 47,000 season tickets – as well as most of their players for a combined £40million.
St Pauli finished fourth last season but like Stuttgart are much changed. A home win pays 4-5 and is expected but I'd prefer to wait to see how Stuttgart adapt to life in the lower league.
I could have put Stuttgart on a treble but instead I'm going with Spartak Moscow at home Kryla Sovetov. Spartak Moscow suffered a Euro exit at the hands of AEK Larnaca and having spent £10million to sign Fernando from Sampdoria the pressure will be on to challenge for the title. They also won their opener and should make it two wins from two.
Add Cork who are back in League of Ireland action at home to Sligo after a battling Europa League campaign that saw them compete well with Genk over two legs before losing 3-1 on aggregate.
Cork are six points behind leaders Dundalk with two games in hand. Dundalk lost in Friday at Galway and Cork will be looking to overhaul their rivals while they are distracted by Champions League football and a chance to reach the group stage.
Sligo are unbeaten in five and in decent form but Cork have won nine out of their last 10 league games and if they're serious about the title will have to win here.

anyone here have knowledge of Indonesian football ?
game tomorrow 10 am sees padang v Madura.
padang won all 6 homes, conceding just 2 goals, but are crap away.
Madura unbeaten in last 10 games winning 8. and have won 4 drawn 1 lost 1 away.

only quote for btts is 8-11, which the way teams sit in the league looks good.
without any reassurance I wont be dabbling as I don’t know if these teams are reliable…

CABALLERO OVER 1.5 TGS + OVER 10.5 MATCH CORNERS.

Returns just shy of 4/1 ?

Ball-sack…12 corners but only 1 Caballero goal depite dominating the game.

Mr F – cracking stuff from yourself yesterday and a belting day for the site in general (as opposed to mine which were sh*te in general)

  7. HullShaker 8 years ago

I appear to have developed a touch of ‘The Doms’ over these last few days and I’m looking at a combination of Dutch and Icelandic games to reverse my fortunes…

    FH v Vikingur…FH Over 1.5 TGS…10/11

    Throttur v Stjarnan…Stjarnan Over 2.5 TGS…11/10

    Icelandic team goal double…3/1

    Holland Jupiler League BTTS treble:

Unlucky yesterday Nathan, those Finnish scores were unexpected to say the least!

    • nathanl 8 years ago

Just the joys of football I suppose!

Confident about today’s to say the least, Stjarnan should win comfortably, fancy Goteborg to do the business but gone extra safe with a +1 incase of a shock result, FH seem very generous odds which alarms me a bit and halmstads should win with ease too

Fairly disappointing first weekend, managed to recoop most of my losses with a big in play goals acca

    Biggest disappointment being 1 goal short in the Sheff Weds/Villa game which would have brought home this 10/1 acca;

    St Johnstone DNB
    Basel win
Sheff Weds v Aston Villa O1.5mgs (lost)
    QPR v Leeds O1.5mgs
    Sparta Rotterdam v Ajaz O1.5mgs

Soligorsk v BATE Borisov BTTS @ 4/5 (Skybet) 5.30 pm

Has come up in 8 out of 9 of BATE’s away matches. They are top of the league and generally draw or win, but concede almost all their goals away from home. Soligorsk have won 5 in a row at home and should notch here as well. Can also see O2.5 mgls coming in at 21/20, but more confient in the BTTS.

    Good luck all!

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

Looks decent considering they conceded 3 at Dundalk.

    • liamw 8 years ago

Yeah and Soligorsk have scored 2-3-3-3-3 in their last 5 homes, so surely they can notch one! Stat was slightly wrong though – W4 D1 in last 5 homes.

Well done on a great start to the season MrF!

Morning gents. A mixed bag last night. The Red Bulls piled on the pressure early in LA but I was 8 minutes late on the goal time. Colombia got their two goals against Japan at the Olympics who fought back for a draw with Gutierrez scoring. Poor Monday card so I’ll be looking to tomorrow. Good luck with your bets.

    NYRB goal before 60:00 @ 5/6 @ 365 – 3.6 points **LOSE**

    Colombia Over 1.5 Team Goals @ 8/11 @ Skybet – 2.75 points **WIN**

    Cambridge v Biggleswade 3GL 1.900
Last 3 H2H’s have seen 5,5 and 4 goals … obviously no idea on the teams but stats suggest goals. Hopefully should at least see 3 goals for a returned stake …

  17. alex_mufc83 8 years ago

Speculative punt on Oakleigh Cannons to come back. At HT currently 1-0 down to Green Gully.

    They’ve scored in their last 4 games. On the following;

    BTTS – 1.50/1 *2 POINTS*
BTTS and Oakleigh Cannons win – 5/1 *1 POINT*

    • alex_mufc83 8 years ago

also gone for Oakleigh Cannons O1.5 team goals

      4/1 *1 POINT*

Keep plodding on mate ive been hit and miss last few weeks and then hit a 140/1 yesterday. Problem was thats all i put on a quid. All about finding our feet with teams at the moment. So much goes on over the summer.

  19. GregBrowning 8 years ago

Was a terrific Sunday for Mr F, myself and many others and what was even better was it was the first proper weekend of fixtures!

I’ve picked out one game today and a pointer for my early goals bet with 5 matches kicking off at 6pm

Djurgarden v IFK Goteborg KO 6pm

The hosts are on a dismal run and are in danger of becoming detached towards the bottom end of the table! They welcome a Goteborg side who are trying to remain in touch with the league leaders and come into this off the back of a Europa league win in Findland on Thursday night! On paper this should be an away win and it may well be but its goals I’m looking at here! Goteborg aren’t too clever defensively and have conceded a goal in 15 of their last 17 away matches in the league! A European regular and on closer inspection they have conceded in recent years in 18 of their last 19 matches following a Europa league match in a Thursday night! I’m taking that to contunue here! Djurgarden may be toiling but they have netted in 19 of their last 23 at home and have a good record against Goteborg at home having lost just two of the last 11!

Back Djurgarden to score before 54 mins (Bet365) (NAP) –

BTTS is 4/6 which has a good chance!

There are 5 matches kicking off at 6pm tonight that will have goal time markets! Got 4 out of 5 up after 10 mins last week with the 5 games landing after 27 mins which gave me a hefty profit! Don’t expect 4 out of 5 up that often from 10 minutes but if you can get 2/3 it sets you up nicely

Three Swedish games, Esbjerg match in Denmark and Sandnes match from Norway

    Backing a goal before 10 , 20, 30 and 40 mins ( will appear inplay)

    10 mins – accumulater , 4 fold and trebles

Accumulator for the remaining time slots

    Good luck

    • iddy 8 years ago

Greg – what are the stake splits on 10/20 and 30 mins?

Btw accidentally reported Gregs post so please ignore that.

  21. philwindy 8 years ago

Hey all, after my successful tips from DK yesterday, I thought I would give my view on the super liga game between Esbjerg and AGF.

Where to start with bottom of the league Esbjerg… they have had financial problems for a while, scandals going on within committee’s board resulting in 3 out of 3 defeats.
Two 4-0 to hammerings from the in form and in my opinion leagues strongest teams FCK and Brøndby.
This was followed by a 2-1 loss to promoted Viborg. They ære leaking goals!!!

To make matters even more daunting for today’s game. Their’s first choice keeper is away in Rio player for Denmark.

Reserve keeper Jonason as been at the club since 2014 but never started!!!

One could argue that their first choice has let 10 goalsin 3 games
and could he be any worse?

I’m willing to stick my neck out and say yes ? He has a 3 month old baby at home , so I am hoping he has had a sleepless night ?

On to AGF the Scottish follower’s will briefly remember Big Morten ‘Duncan’ Rasmussen from Celtic.

The will be back again today and always posses a threat at this level. Score g 2 late goals against Esbjerg last time out in a 5-1 win.

I would expect them to get 2 goals here.

AGF do however leak their fair share of goals especially away from home, therefore BTTS has a good chance.

    Recommended bets

Esbjerg vs AGF BTTS + over 2.5 goals 2.05 @365

    Good luck today
    AGF +1.5 Team goals 1.83 @365

    CFR Cluj – Dinamo B.
    CFR Cluj :
    – CFR Cluj lost 3-1 away at Botosani in the last round in Ligue 1;
    – After first two games, Cluj are in 12th place having now -3 points(they started with -6 points – federal decision);
    – CFR Cluj has four consecutive wins in matches played at home, the last team that managed to get a point at Cluj was CSMS Iasi (0-0);
    – The team coached by Vasile Miriuta is unbeaten at home in 2016 and last defeat was on 1st Decembre when Pandurii won in Cluj 2-1;
    – In the last 4 matches played at home, Cluj have managed to score 13 goals, 3.25 goals per game;
    – CFR Cluj has 6 matches without defeat against Dinamo, CFR managed to win last season away 2-0 and in Cluj was 1-1;
    ———————————————————–
    Dinamo :
    – Dinamo won quite hard in the last round of the championship, managed to win 2-1 in front of Poli Timisoara;
    – Before the round, Dinamo was in first place with 6 points accumulated, and + 4 goals difference;
    – In 2016 Dinamo recorded just two defeats, both against champions Astra Giurgiu which won 4-1, 4-2 respectively;
    – Dinamo’s last success in Cluj was in 2013;
    – last season, Dinamo lost only two games away, Astra Giurgiu and CSU Craiova the only teams that have won in front of the red-white team;
    ———————————————————–
    – It’s hard to say who will be the winner tonight , the game will be very balanced, and any team could win it, Dinamo did well away from home and i expect to score at least one , and CFR to confirm their reputation at home getting on the scoreboard too.
    Bets to consider :
    – Dinamo to score @ 1.32 (good for combo)
    – CFR Cluj – Dinamo Bucharest – BTTS @ 1.79
    – 2-3 goals aggregate @ 1.95 (MY Bet)
    – draw @ 3.00
    – draw with goals @ 4.35

    Stuttgart v St Pauli
    Injury problems plaguing Stuttgart
Ginczek, Baumgartl and Kevin Großkreutz will all be missing tonight.
They have invested some of that 40 million from the sale of their players on Simon Terrode from Bochum who was top scorer in the league last season with 16 BL2 goals.
Stuttgarts new manager knows Bundesliga 2 having won promotion with Gladbach , Augsburg and then with Hertha BSC!!
St Pauli have consolidated in the close season, they lost their last friendly against Sevilla 2-1 but gave a good account of themselves, I watched them against Cardiff in a tournament in Osnabruck where they lost 2-1 and made a couple of schoolboy errors defensively, but that was a 60 minute friendly. I wouldnt be surprised if the managed a goal tonight
    Stuttgart over 1,5 tgs 8/11
    Over 2.5 mgs. 4/5
    Terrode to score. 6/5
Make up your own minds though, Bundesliga 2 has bitten me on the arse a few times!

Only just seen your post now, nice going. Odd’s were high for over 3.5 in my opinion, looked like it was going to fly in and it did.

Alex, most of there goals are scored in there first half but obviously there will be a few in the next half. Nothing stands out though and it won’t be great odds either. I’d avoid personally

    • alex_mufc83 8 years ago

OK noted, and avoided. thanks chaps

    • harrybaines 8 years ago

@alex_mufc83 there you go mate, there was only one goal in that second half and that was 2 minutes after halftime. Low scoring second half as i suggested :) Good luck tonight pal

    • alex_mufc83 8 years ago

yeah thanks! dodged that one ha. cheers :)

    Iceland 8:15pm
    Throttur Reykjavik v Stjarnan

    STJARNAN over 2.5 goals 1/1 NAP/NB bet365 (double stake)

    STJARNAN over 3.5 goals 5/2 bet365

    Germany 7:15pm
    Stuttgart v St Pauli

ST PAULI draw no bet 9/4 bet365

    ST PAULI over 1.5 goals 9/4 bet365

ST PAULI win 19/5 william hill

In Iceland Throttur have conceded 34 goals in their 13 league games and have already lost 6-0 to tonight’s opposition Stjarnan who have scored 26 in their 13 games.

Stuttgart may look like they have improved from last season but I managed to watch a couple of the pre season games and they didn’t look that good but St Pauli have looked pretty decent and could better last seasons fourth place,
preseason they have been beaten 2-1 by Sevilla and 3-2 by Dortmund, I didn’t get to see the Sevilla game but they were unlucky against Dortmund and played well

  32. andrzejstarba 8 years ago

Love tge polish league. 40 mins 0-0, 45 minutes 1-1.
    Btts winner
1 more goal for over 2.5 goals. Easy cover

Bah, I did the same as you, tenner, and was looking great at ht, problem was, wasn’t sure which game to hedge against until cork scored, then was a bit late! Always tomorrow….great effort though

  36. andrzejstarba 8 years ago

    posted earlier –

A bit short notice but the polish match at 5pm Ruch looks good for goals. Both teams recent games have produced a lot of goals and both need a boost after loosing last 2 games.

Gonna go half stake on btts and half stake on over 2.5 as I reckon goals are on the cards in this match.

    Final score 2-2.
    Winners x2

    • alex_mufc83 8 years ago

Thanks andrzejstarba! I followed your tips, and also got BTTS in 2nd half, for a tidy profit. Keep up the good work!! :-)

    Well done all winners

    • nb89 8 years ago

Was on this but covered Chelmsford under 2.5 at 7/2 at half time so made a small profit.

    • dc john boy 8 years ago

Wish I covered to but expected goals. Never mind.

    • bixieupnorth 8 years ago

hard luck, gutting when you get the early goals and then no more, the BATE borisov game was a killer tonight, 0-1 after 6, and 0-2 after 8 mins, and thats the way it ended!

    • liamw 8 years ago

@dc-john-boy I liked your selections (solid as per usual) but went for trebles (as well as a smaller on the nose bet) – 4 bets on trebles which I cashed out for odds of 4.5 to 1 with 2 left to come in, hoping that the on the nose would land then too I left it to run. Could be a worthwhile tactic considering how close you usually are?

    • dc john boy 8 years ago

Thanks for that @liamw. Been thinking of doing something like that for a while. May try that tonight as plenty English cup games to choose from & should be goals just al about picking the right games.

      Yes it was mate, offside

    • HullShaker 8 years ago

Elvis, all I can see is a big, fat ‘LOSE’ sign against all my picks today…absolute car crash ?

Closest was a Telstar goal letting the Dutch BTTS treble down but Iceland was an unmitigated disaster ?

    • elvis parsley 8 years ago

Hmmmm, fh just gone 1 down shaker.
Onto tomorrow, and fight back day
Plenty to choose from Mr shaker.

By the way my local team bangor city just signed danny nardiello, he was with bury recently.
Is there any fuel left in his tank, or is he coming to my club for some easy dough ????

    • bixieupnorth 8 years ago

yeah i was watching, chalked off correctly for offside

  50. dom77 8 years ago

Once again the team that never loses at home lost at home.
The team that hasnt won in 6 games won convincingly.
Even FH lost to a 98th min goal after I backed them.
Lost my entire betting bank today.

    • harrybaines 8 years ago

      What game was this mate?

    • dom77 8 years ago

Cork city. Only needed them not to lose.
Other was djurgarden. Just need them not to win by more than 1. They won 3-1. Lost the last 6or 7 straight games.
This happens all the time. I seem to end runs of results with my bets. Sometimes its teams that have been unbeaten for a year or more. Eg 25/30 games.
I always ‘land’ on the one in 20 or so games where the unbelievable happens. Usually an early red card or something wacky will happen like throwing away a 3 nil lead.

    • harrybaines 8 years ago

Unlucky mate, i hate it when teams loose loads then pull off an amazing result. Happens to me quite a bit t be honest, that’s why i prefer goals now. Well sometimes ;)

  51. bartley 8 years ago

    Speculative Serie A bet
    America MG and over 2,5mgs
    Corinthians and under 2,5mgs
    5/1 double
America on a good run at the moment
Corinthians not so convincing but could go joint first tonight

    • dom77 8 years ago

Corinthians stadium is being used for olympics so its not a home game.

  52. ediddem 8 years ago

Anyone with thoughts on Atletico MG to win?

  53. GregBrowning 8 years ago

Dom, not just saying this because my Djurgarden bet came in but sometimes you need to look further than a team just being on a losing run! They have a good record against Gothenburg + as i pointed out Gothenburg have lost an incredible 18 of their last 19 matches following a Europa league game!

    • harrybaines 8 years ago

Djurgarden you mean Greg? I agree, a team that is on a loosing streak will break that at some point. Sometimes you have to go very deep and think.. example – “they haven’t won/drawn a game in 11 games, what are the chances that it will happen again, they have to win at somepoint” then the odd’s are muddled up a little bit and becomes more in there favor, irrelivant who the opponent is. Remember when Barca got beat at home by Valencia last season at 17/1 after having about 20 straight home wins excluding madrid? That is what i mean when streak can’t go on forever and the opponent becomes irrelivant, it becomes more than just Barcalona vs Valencia; it works both ways team winning and loosing. Not sure if that makes any sense but i do and it pays off so hey ho

    • elvis parsley 8 years ago

Fair point Greg, but to quote you, you said
(On paper this should be an away win and it may well be but it’s goals I’m looking.)
So even you didn’t fancy Djurgarden to win

    • dom77 8 years ago

I know greg. I did gothenburg +1AH just in case. But it wasnt enough.
Im terrified of goal betting. As so often games are 0-0 at half time and goals are hard to come by as teams are often happy to win 1-0 so long as they get the 3 points.
Thats why i do a lot of dnb so you can in theory not lose the bet even if your team doesnt score.
It really feels like the universe is telling me not to bet anymore but im kind of addicted now like all of us on here.

  54. bartley 8 years ago

Hm thanks for the info Dom
Corinthians unbeaten in 26 at home,

Any thoughts on Atletico MG to win?

  57. bartley 8 years ago

Atletico MG have won 8 of their last 10 matches (Brasileirão).
There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Atletico MG’s last 6 home games (Brasileirão).
Atletico MG have scored at least 2 goals in their last 6 home matches (Brasileirão).
There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 7 of Chapecoense AF’s last 8 away games (Brasileirão).
Atletico MG have kept a clean sheet in their last 3 home matches against Chapecoense AF in all competitions.
Atletico MG have been winning at both half time and full time in their last 3 home matches (Brasileirão).
Atletico MG have been winning at both half time and full time in their last 3 home matches against Chapecoense AF in all competitions.
Atletico MG have won their last 3 home matches against Chapecoense AF in all competitions.

Real Madrid v Seville tomorrow in the UEFA cup.
There hasn’t been a 0-0 in the last 39 head to heads dating back to 1999.
      Should I be backing a 0-0 bud ?

  58. GregBrowning 8 years ago

Elvis, on paper it should have been an away win but that’s why you always have an edge with goals! I fancied them enough to suggest they were going to score before 54 mins!

The point I was trying to make was just because a team is on a losing run, It’s no reason to back against them unless you have a good look into it!

    • Jordan 8 years ago

I second that, Greg. Ever since I’ve started trading I’ve backed more underdogs to score before their goal time than I have favourites. Ok I’ve not done so well the past few weeks but I haven’t had the leagues to dabble in. Those goal times are pretty much the best value out there if you can find the right games. They are close to EVS, it’s a 50/50 outcome, and you only need one thing to happen.

    • elvis parsley 8 years ago

In other words you might as well toss a coin for money, heads or tails as that has a 50-50 chance also.

    • elvis parsley 8 years ago

In 16519 games played in national leagues this year 47.3% of these have seen Btts.
Basically this means statistically if you do a Btts double, treble etc, long term you will statistically lose.
Yet bookies I reckon offer over 75% of games odds on for Btts yes.
      No wonder they are rich

If this isn’t Pogba official then I don’t know what is. a tweet that has since been deleted by UK rapper Stormzy consisted of this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yommBu-FwEU&ab_channel=TheStriker10HD

Crane, aye you’re right – whisked me and Mrs Hull away for an exotic weekend in New York .

Spellings never been my strong point though and turns out it was an erotic weekend near York…as I speak, Colin from Oswaldtwistle is adjusting his gimp mask and winking at me ?

The Night Owl sees me looking for salvation in South America…

ATLÉTICO MINEIRO VS. CHAPECOENSE (12.00 KO)

Mineiro are on a solid run of form and have seen 8 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss in their last 10.

They have scored 2+ team goals in 60% of those 10 games whilst conceding in 70% in the same spell.

Highlights of Chapecoense’ ’10 game form’ is as follows: BTTS =70%, conceded 1-2-1-1-0-1-2-3-2-5.

Also worth noting that the corner counts in Brasil are looking as good as ever and Mineiro’s last 2 games have seen 12 and 13 respectively whilst Chapecoense’s read 10 and 14.

    3 Selections to consider:

    BTTS…19/20

    ATHLETICO MINEIROS OVER 1.5 TGS + OVER 10.5 CORNERS…2.14/1

    OVER 3.5 MGS + OVER 12.5 CORNERS…8/1

    Good luck ?

PS – Elvis, Nardiello was a great little striker but has been crocked for the best part of a season and a half.
