MY almost perfect August record came to a crashing end on Thursday and it was no surprise I was tripped up by the Europa League.
Omonia Nicosia just failed to land the Super Single and the double and treble also crashed. Friday sees the start of the Championship season in Scotland and England and I am hoping return to winning ways.
I've posted a preview of Rangers v St Mirren and while I've had a closer look at Brighton v Nottm Forest in the morning it's not I'm trying to call.
PSG travel to Lille in the French league and there are also Ligue 2 games where there were hardly any goals last week.
Dundalk at home to Longford is one of the matches in the League of Ireland and we welcome the return of the goal-laden Dutch second tier.
I put Rangers -1 up as a Super Single last night but after a lost day on Thursday I'm concentrating on finishing my weekend column for the Daily Record. All antepost tips will be on the site by Friday night and for now I'm adding a Daily Double which is Dundalk -1 and a win for Rangers.
Dundalk rested players for their cup defeat to Galway so should be fresh and face a side whose confidence could be low after recent 3-0 and 4-1 losses to Cork.
I quite like PSG at Lille and if anyone fancies making it a treble feel free to add them.

Biting the bullet in the CCL tonight. Unless its some sort of publicity stunt I can’t see Dos Santos not playing with Galaxy even saying he will debut tonight on their website. Centrals first appearance in the competition tonight and under a new manager. Being Trinidadians I expect it to be a physical game and if the likes of Keane, Zardes and Gerrard are on the team sheet as well as Dos Santos, it can oonly be a convinving home win.
I’m also taking Herediano at home to Metapan. The Costa Rican Verano Champions are well seasoned in this competition as are Metapan, but the away sides highest stage has only been the quarter finals in 2011-12. Herediano fell in the semi finals last time out to eventual champions Club America, beating them 3-0 at home but a 6-0 drubbing in Mexico. They played Metapan twice in last years group stage and scored 4 goals home and away.

But in short – rather than win by 1 goal or more (i.e. 2-1, 3-2) for an -1 handicap you need to win by 2 clear goals (i.e. 2-0, 3-1, 4-1 etc)
Think of it like the starting scoreline is
-1 Rangers, || 0 St Mirren.
To win the game Rangers need to score 2 more goals than St Mirren. If they do, the -1 handicap bet wins.
