GREG'S double won last night but his single lost and today he's focusing on the Scottish leagues.
He says: “It will be Scotland for me on a Saturday and I'll be leaving England until September when we have a something to go on. Nothing flash for the opening day for me.”
Falkirk v Hibs (3pm)
It can be argued JohnB has the green-tinted glasses on when talking about his beloved Hibs but I can’t argue with his thoughts if you back Hibs most weeks you won’t go far wrong. Falkirk are a shadow of last seasons team, they’ve lost a few of their star man including Blair Alston and were toothless when my St Johnstone beat them 3-0 two weeks ago. Hibs are as close to a banker in my eyes for the league as you’ll find! Fully expect them to open the season with three points and will be backed by a big travelling support.”
Hibs (5-6, Paddy Power) (NAP)
Rangers to beat Hamilton (12.30pm)
Dundee United to beat QoS (3pm)
Clyde to beat Montrose (3pm)
Treble pays 2-1, bet365
Three teams who’ll all be at the top end of their respective leagues come May. Rangers will take care of Hamilton, Dundee United are enjoying life under Ray McKinnon and Barry Ferguson has recruited well at Clyde adding some quality, notably Dylan Easton who was one of Elgin’s best players last season.
Good luck to everyone and for the season ahead, Greg.
