THE big five Euro leagues have yet to kick off but there’s plenty other action across the continent and PSV Eindhoven start their Dutch title defence at Utrecht tonight.
PSV have kept most of their star players from last season – the only high-profile departure was centre-half Jeffrey Bruma to Wolfsburg – and have good attacking threat in the likes of Luuk de Jong and Gaston Pereiro.
Philip Cocu’s men suffered a shock cup defeat to Utrecht last season but have dominated them in the league, winning the past seven meetings, and are worth a look today at 15-16 with Marathonbet.
I’m adding them to a double with Norwegian table-toppers Rosenborg who’ll be keen to bounce back from their Champions League sickener (they conceded three goals in injury time to exit against APOEL) when they travel to struggling Lillestrom.
Similar to PSV, Rosenborg have won seven on the bounce against today’s opponents and are 8-13 at Ladbrokes to make it eight.
There could well be goals in the French Super Cup, which is being played in Austria, where Unai Emery takes charge of his first competitive game as PSG boss.
He’s without Edinson Cavani, Thiago Silva, new signing Gregorz Krychowiak and Adrien Rabiot for the clash with Lyon who should field star man Alexandre Lacazette and both teams to score pays 7-8 at Unibet.
I’m adding the Dutch opener between Willem II and Vitesse, which pays 13-19 at Unibet, and completing the treble with Thun’s trip to Young Boys where four of the last five meetings in Bern have seen both score and a repeat is 7-10 at Unibet.
