TUESDAY was a no-bet day for me but well done to anyone who managed to pick up any winnings.
I left the Checkatrade Trophy well alone and while there were plenty of games with goals there were enough low scorers to be problematic for anyone picking games at random. These were the first group matches and interestingly only three of the Academy sides won in 90 minutes although all of them were away from home. Tonight's one game sees Notts County v Hartlepool.
On Wednesday there are a clutch of friendlies including Germany v Finland and Ireland v Oman where Robbie Keane will be looking to bow out of international football with a goal to add his 67 in the green.
I'm not keen on betting on friendlies but I'll check team news before deciding whether to do anything.

The New Saints are back in action tomorrow in the Welsh Premiere and come into this game fresh on the back of the 10-0 mauling of Rhyl.
They put 5 past Llandudno without reply prior to that and I see them scoring a few again tomorrow against a Cardiff MU side who’ve not set the valleys on fire so far…
Be interesting to see what Elvis or any of the other Welsh lads have to say on this one but I’m taking on two team goal bets:
TNS OVER 2.5 TGS…4/6
TNS OVER 3.5 TGS…13/8
Good luck with all bets ?
I was looking at this.
TNS are apparently the only full time team in the league. Cardiff are actually students who pay subs to play for the team.
-2AH pays 1.8 surely this is nailed on and we should be going supermassive on this?
Interesting, this. I actually go to Cardiff Uni and a good friend of mine played for the 1st team against Cardiff Met’s 3rd or 4th team last season and got battered. Cardiff Met is a seriously sport-centric university and their first team are not to be underestimated. They won the first division last year to get back into the top tier of Welsh football, something that was apparently a long time coming.
Of course, T.N.S should still batter them, or at least win comprehensively. But Cardiff Met’s ‘students’ are certainly no slouches, as suggested by their early season form. Looking particularly solid at the back, too!
Good luck Hull. I still think you should be bang on as T.N.S have started in unbelievable form.
Avai v Luverdense
Over 5.0 HT asian corners 1.825 :(
Over 11.0 asian corners 2.00 :)
Over 14 corners 4/1 – 1/2 stake :(
HT – 4
FT – 13
Disappointed though as the 12th corner went in with 25 mins still to play
Unlucky Alves – my Over 1.5 mgs 4-fold fell 1 short in Parana’s game…close but no cigar.
Unlucky tae Hull, annoying getting let down when it looked decent early on :(
Bragantino RT7 corners 15/8
Vasco de gama RT7 8/11
Bragantino RT7 corners 15/8 – cashed out £13.64 from fiver after they went 4-0 on corners ?
Vasco de gama RT7 8/11 ?
Bragantino RT9 would’ve cane in easily, last tine I checked it was 14 corners tgey had and 11 at HT
great tip
No stand out games to bet on tomorrow so I’m trying my hand at the transfer specials.
I was ooo-ing and aaa-ing whether to take Sky Bets offer of West Brom to sign three or more players on deadline day. It was 2/1 yesterday and the odds have now been slashed to 5/4 so there lies no value in that anymore.
Instead after looking at all the teams I feel there is value in West Brom at 3/1 to sign the most players on deadline day. Not normally renowned for their panic buys West Brom have finally decided to take the plunge after Pulis threatened that they needed to sign at least five players. Add to the fact that Berahino is potentially going to move on you could argue that West Brom potentially may be looking at four or five more incomings.
I’ve also had a cheeky dabble on the 20/1 bet of every team to sign at least one player. I genuinely think with the added money available most clubs will be keen to bring at least one in. The only issue with this bet is are the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool serious about strengthening further. It’s hard to write it off and at small odds it’s worth a little dabble for interest.
The 20-1 is a long shot of course especially with Jose saying Man Utd won’t be signing anyone else.
Definitely a long shot, I just felt it was worth a low stake bet considering the money floating about.
Steaua Bucharest – CSMS Poli Iasi
Steaua :
– Steaua won away 1-0 against Pandurii in the last round of Ligue 1 with a goal scored by Riky Boldrin;
– after this victory, Steaua climbed to first position in Ligue 1 and now has a chance to distance Dynamo by 4 points if they win against Poli;
– with only 2 goals conceded, Steaua has the best defense in Ligue 1, only Dinamo and Viitorul managed to score against them;
– the team coached by Laurentiu Reghecampf has not lost at home since November last year, when was defeated by Astra Giurgiu score 0-1;
– last season, Steaua managed only a draw at home against CSMS Iasi, 1-1, goals scored by Golubovic and Stanciu;
– Tosca, Pintilii, Philip and Golubovic are injured and will not play in this game and will be missing Enache, Achim , Popa, Cojocaru, Tudorie, Popescu and Tanase, summoned to national teams;
– it will be interesting to see how it will play without Stanciu (Anderlecht bought him for 9.800.000€ – a new record sale for Romania);
– if the first team will be made up and might look decent, on the bench Reghecampf will not have any solutions, therefore it will be interesting to see how he will do in this difficult situation;
=====================================
CSMS Iasi :
– CSM Poli Iasi comes after a goalless draw away at Concordia Chiajna after two rounds ago managed the same score against Viitorul;
– after the first 5 stages, Poli Iasi is ranked 7th in the standings with 8 points accumulated, and a goal difference of +3;
– in case of success in this game, CSM Politehnica Iasi can climb up to 4th place;
– CSMS failed to score in last 4 games, if we include the League Cup match, last time they scored was against ASA Targu-Mures;
– Poli has not won against Steaua since 2008, when managed to impose 2-1, in a match played in Iasi;
– Dan Roman is the only absent for this game which is missing due to injury;
=====================================
– although Steaua starts with the first chance in this game, I expect a balanced game, at least in the first half because Steaua have many absences for this match;
– Steaua has problems in attack and a new formula that will align tonight i think it will not help them so much;
– CSMS has a strong defensive line and I think the chances are pretty good to witness at a goalless first half;
===============================
Bet : Steaua – CSMS – draw HT @ 2.00
===============================
Bets to consider :
– Steaua to win by 1 goal @ 3.65
– HT/FT – draw HT/ Steaua to win @ 4.90
===============================

Hi, although I dislike betting on (unders) it seems like the obvious choice here???
What’s ur thoughts on this Radu?
@bluemooner1894 – cheers , it is a game for – under , probably 1-0 Steaua , like you , not a unders fan , in my point of view – a football game should have goals :D , but this is another story… ;)
Yea, I wld normally fancy steau all day but with players out …..
looking at japan this morning and hope for goals on…
Tokyo fc ov 2.5 mgs
I shall also put some interest on hiroshima game as they are capable of scoring both halves bt shall play safer for them to have OV 1.5 tgs

Hi @wato, great month, well done! Have been on a good few, much appreciated. What are your criteria for selecting if you don’t mind me asking? Obviously you look for the average number of match goals in the right range for each team, is there anything else?
Liamw, thanks mate and I am even more pleased with the winners knowing you were on some of them. They are mainly stats based but a few are from games were I think only one of the teams will score and likely to win the game “comfortably” they would have to go some to score 4+ but of course could happen. One example recently I nearly backed Chelsea v Burnley thinking Chelsea would win 2 or 3 nil. Best to avoid the high scoring leagues obviously that regularly go over 2.5/3.5 goals. You could of course pick virtually any game for this market but with so many games best to narrow it down to 1,2 or 3 days a day and importantly don’t have to pick anything that stands out on the quiet days. The staking plan of including doubles and trebles will hopefully help too.
I agree with haruni on over 2.5 goals in the Tokyo vs Fukuoka game. Fukuoka have been in the goals recently and the following are worth a punt:
Over 2.5 goals at @2.07
BTTS @2.10
Over 1 FH goal line @2.05
BTTS first half @6.00
Will also be on BTTS & 2.5 in Kobe vs Urawa which came in at the weekend and the previous fixture in June. Pays 1.90
I agree with haruni on over 2.5 goals in the Tokyo vs Fukuoka game. Fukuoka have been in the goals recently and the following are worth a punt:

What are people’s thoughts on this match in the Chinese second division
Nei Mongol Zhongyou v Beijing Renhe
looking at the league table (14th v 4th) you would assume there would only be one winner, and it looks like the bookies have took this view.. However looking a little closer into it, the home team have only lost 1 of their last 8 at home, winning 6 of them. The away team also has a very poor away record, winning only one of their last 8, losing 6 of them.
At 9/2 for a home win, and the safer option of Nei Mongol double chance at 4/6 surely both bets are worth a punt
Nothing tipped yesterday as no bet day due to short card!
Welsh double Today…
TNS -1
Aberystwyth win
1.92/1
Short card? It was a pure goal fest in, England, N Ireland, Cork, Dundalk, etc
Short is maybe the wrong word – it was a difficult card due to the unknowns in the Checkatrade Trophy.
I’ll take a closer look at the friendlies later but for now it’s 9 holes of golf before it starts chucking down.
Short as in ‘predictable’ outcomes… Anything could happen in EFL with seeing many tipping Peterborough who were smashed and I tend to stick away from Ireland
Was still guessing going for goals in the EFL no matter how you see it as no one can determine the strength of academies vs the charltons and boltons etc
Are we alowd to post funny links on here on quiet days?

Delete if not aloud. I found MrFixit through this guy.
Greg Browning will love that one.
Surely too late in the day for Roma to be making moves to sign Wilshere?
Bournemouth at 7/4 and offers value for me.
He met with Pardew and Howe yesterday and is deciding today. The fact that Palace are now looking at McCarthy from Everton indicates maybe Wilshere’s leaning towards Bournemouth. Add to the fact Howe plays attacking football and his old pal Afobe is in the ranks on the coast probably offers Wilshere a change of scenery.
Wilshere to Bournemouth
7/4
SkyBet
Celtic v Rangers early prices are out and 3/4 for the home win looks a steal, also 23/18 -1.0 AH at 23/18 and can see this behind odds on by KO
Another transfer bet…Sissoko to Spurs at 2/1 now.
He’s been released from international duty, issues over agreement over the fee but surely they will come to some arrangement with Sissoko heading to London.
Sissoko to Spurs
2/1
SkyBet
boy, that moved quick. Could only get 11/10 myself…now 10/11.
7/4 Skybet 4/11 PP big difference
I posted earlier about West Brom signing the most players. They’ve been very quiet and are now out to 7/1. Stoke the favourites look likely to get in Bony and have just signed the goalkeeper Grant. The interesting point is they are both loan deals (which don’t count). I still expect West Brom to get in at least two to three players today and it may be worth a gamble at that price.
Loan deals do count if your betting with Sky.

I was looking for a price on Aberdeen winning the league without Celtic, but the sites i have looked at
are offering without Celtic or Rangers, can any one help out ?
Don’t know if anyone will do that and I’ve not seen it.
You can’t get ew on the Premiership so it’s unlikely.
Without Celtic or Rangers it’s a 2-horse race between Aberdeen and Hearts with Aberdeen favourites so it would be a short price anyway.
Cheers Mr F. Aberdeen are just 4/5 to in it without the old firm, i just fancy they will be to strong for Rangers
and finish second
Might have a better idea at close of play tonight.
At start of season I tipped 1. Celtic, 2. Rangers and 3. Aberdeen and sticking with that just now.
If I understand it correctly, without just Celtic it ranges between 3/1 and 10/3 for Aberdeen to win it. Ladbrokes, Hills, Coral, BetVictor, BetFred, Paddy and half a dozen others are offering it to you. Have a look at Oddschecker.
Cheers stagger i will check it out.

Not seen Cardiff met or tns yet this season.
My mate saw them play Airbus and said the students are well drilled, and as they are physical education students pretty fit.
They don’t concede many but have a lack of firepower.
There has been an unusual lack of goals in the league so far, bar tns that is with most averaging under 3 match goals.
Going blind on this but tns correct score spread of 0-2 0-3 0-4 won’t be far off.
2-0 my shout to tns. Tns win to nil, -1 or -2 handicap.
Connahs quay should beat cefn on a form line through my team Bangor, we beat cefn but lost to connahs.
Fancy aber to win by 1 goal at Rhyl.
And as for Bangor I hope we play as we did in beatng bala, if we do a narrow 2-1 win maybe ???
Going for a straight forward treble tonight.

TNS over 1.5 team goals

McCarthy 2/1 to join crystal palace ( loan counts ) WILLIAM HILL
MacArthur is at palace and they bother played at Hamilton and Wigan
Palace also lost out of wilshire so every chance if Everton will in to loan out
£20 on fingers crossed!!
Also on the Welsh double thanks to Nathan
Forgot to add, shaker.
Only 4 of 20 games have seen btts in our league, which backs up the lack of goals situation.
Cardiff met 0-2 0-3 or 0-4
Rhyl 0-1 0-2 or 1-2
Cefn druids 0-1 0-2 or 0-3
Bangor 1-0 1-1 or 2-1
Correct score spreads Or even 2-3 match goals on the 4 games which sounds good to me

anyone know why all but one of tonites copa sudamericana games have been postponed cheers
Was wondering same crane as a few looked good for goals
Just taken this from the South American football ruling bodies website:
“We have had a large amount of money placed on individual Copa Sudamerica games for tonight (Wednesday) for a player in each game NOT to be struck by lighting.
Although the odds are short at 1/1,0000,0000, we are concerned for the players safety as this is not the first time Dom 77 has laid such a bet”
Hahaha, quality!
How close can you get denmark score on literally 29 mins 59 secs look like. Bet365 have paid o u t!!

Palmeiras are slugging it out for top spot in their domestic top flight and as it stands, they’re winning the battle.
