RAFA NADAL wrapped up his record 47th clay title on Sunday and now attention turns to the hard-court Washington Open where top seed Andy Murray heads a decent field.

The Scot is 13-8 title favourite at Betfred followed by Kei Nishikori (4-1, totesport) and current US Open champ Marin Cilic at 11-1 with Unibet.

The pick of today's ties sees Sam Groth chalked up 8-11 by Coral to get the better of Thomaz Bellucci (6-5, BetVictor) while in the women's singles home hopes Sloane Stephens and Taylor Townsend are in action.

On the cricket front there are four One-Day Cup matches and other sporting highlights include the World Swimming Championships from Russia and cycling's Tour of Poland.

As usual post your tips and thoughts here and good luck with your bets.

    Austria-
    Thief @ 9/2
    Carrefour Busta @ 25/1

With third it all comes down to energy levels. If he’s fresh enough, it will be no surprise to see him go all the way again here to make it three titles in three weeks. A first round bye, good draw and home advantage will help.
PCB in good form, took them to three last week and apart from his opener (about to start) has a nice looking draw. Looks like a value pick

Giilrado looks good at evens to beat silva 2-0 (ladbrokes)

This was the score when they met in April on clay in Houston.

There is a massive gulf in rankings and results would suggest he can get this done in straight sets.

Any thoughts/advise welcome, think I will be taking this, odds seem very reasonable.

    Good luck all!

The gods are smiling on you !!

Silva had a couple of 1st set points on his own serve that he failed to convert.

Second set was always going to be a breeze after that.
      Ripe for In-play !!

Should also add the previous meeting in April saw a comfortable 6-2 6-2 win.

    Actually got 21/20 for 2-0 Gilrado 2-0.

    Fingers crossed!

Well Giraldo made me sweat! Almost lost the first set before recovering well to come from 5-3 down to win 7-5. The second was slightly less worrying with a 6-2 win.

All in all a satisfying win at odds against!

Hope anyone that followed is pleased with it after a few heart palpitations!

Dazid – Keep at it mate, it will get easier soon. I think it’s tough pickings in MLB at the moment, especially with all the trades and thus, the mindsets of the teams changing.

Nothing that I amazingly fancy but Tampa Bay has been chucked out as value (at least it was when it was @2.15 earlier) and I can see why. I might have a small dabble on it.

Very new to this, gonna put my bet up and see how it goes.

    MLB 03/08

    Astros

Although Houston’s young pitcher doesn’t have a lot to go by (13 games in the major) he is still posting a winning record of 5-3. This is in part, due to the firepower within the Astros line up (5th in runs scored in the major league) and should see off the injury-ravaged Rangers who are conceding on average, 4.8 runs per game.

    Angels

The price currently stands at 5/6 at skybet which is what makes this an attractive bet. Angels are clearly the better team, with probably, the best baseball player in Mike Trout. Although neither his form nor his team’s recent form are great, Trout is still hitting .309 for the season. Against a fading pitcher in Kluber, I fancy the Angels.

    Skybet double 2.3/1

A more risky one, Houston and over 7.5, Angels and under 7.5 pays 5.56/1.
