ACTION continues from the US Open although Andy Murray's match won't take place until Thursday so he another day to sort what went wrong as he cramped up during his win against Robin Haase.

Ad's been leading the way with the tennis tips so watch out for his comments and those from others contributing.

The Italian Open golf tees off on Thursday with the Deutsche Bank Open in America not starting until Friday and finishing on Labour Day on Monday. Ace Venturer's tips are up – and he's going for six wins in a row – and I'll list them again for anyone missed out.

I'm on Matteo Mannassero and Emilio Grillo, both each-way, at 28-1 and 50-1 in Italy on a course that suits accurate players.

Meanwhile, if you have tips on any sport put them up here.

Ace Venturer's golf tips

Rory McIlroy 9-2 William Hill 4pts

Matt Kuchar 20-1 Betfred 2.5pts ew

Adam Scott 12-1 Ladbrokes 2.5pts ew

Just copying my post over from the other thread:

I agree with you Ad and have great confidence in Feliciano Lopez today.

After a nice win yesterday, I will be on the following today:

    Treble:
Feliciano Lopez to Win 1st Set and the Match
    Sloane Stephens to Win 2-0
    Agnieszka Radwanska to Win 2-0
    3.04/1 with Bet365

    Treble:
    Feliciano Lopez to Win
Joao Sousa to Win 1st Set and the Match
    Sabine Lisicki to Win 2-0
    3.68/1 with Bet365

    5-Fold:
Feliciano Lopez to Win 1st Set and the Match
    Sloane Stephens to Win 2-0
    Agnieszka Radwanska to Win 2-0
Joao Sousa to Win 1st Set and the Match
    Sabine Lisicki to Win 2-0
    11.06/1 with Bet365

I think Lopez covering the -2.5 handicap at 5/6 is also a worthwhile bet and I might yet have a small stake on Lopez to win 3-0 at 5/2

Stoke playing a mixture of youth and reserves but Diuof will start.

  3. Ad 10 years ago

Wednesday tips: (my reasoning can be found on the other thread)

    Single:

    Lajovic d Janowicz @ 5/2

    Double (NAP)

    Lajovic to win a set v Janowicz @ 8/15
    Lopez d Dodig @ 3/5

    pays around 6/5.

    5-fold: ( today and tomorrow)
    Lopez
    Karlovic
    Mayer
    Bouchard
    Stosur

    Pays 4/1

  4. Wato 10 years ago

Mr Orange can you advise how the cycling goes please mate

  5. Wato 10 years ago

I’m on Lopez and Nationals as a double pays 1.55/1 on b365

  6. Iddy 10 years ago

    From other thread;
    I have picked out the following tips for today;
    Klizan d Darcis
    Anderson d Cuevas
    Cornet d Hantuchova
    Pays 1.3/1 (nap)
2 singles I like the look of
    Pironkova v Jankovic over 18.5 games 5/6
    Peng v Radwanska – peng +5.5 games 1/1
    One possible upset
    Lajovic d Janowicz 5/2

Ad/ Sam are we really confident on Lopez today? I know he has had a good season, especially on the grass. However he is 2-1 down in h2h to Dodig and Dodig is a very good player. I had it as a 50:50 match.

  8. Ad 10 years ago

Those wins for Dodig came on clay though, and I think a fast hard court means advantage Lopez. I can’t see Dodig breaking down his serve on the faster surface over 5 sets. Though he can be very good as you say, he is pretty erratic and unless Lopez had a big dip in form he won’t give much away

    • Dan 10 years ago

You certainly put a good case forward Ad! As someone who knows nothing about tennis I choose to believe!

  9. Ad 10 years ago

Lets hope you’re still a believer a few hours from now! Dodig likes a long topsy turvy match so I’m not sure it’ll necessarily be straightforward or straight sets, but as long as Lopez comes through eventually I’ll be happy.

  10. Sam 10 years ago

Haha, my confidence in Lopez proved to be short lived. Onwards and upwards…

  11. Ad 10 years ago

I expected him to drop a set at least but to get broken twice so tamely in the first I didn’t expect. Played a really poor set but if he goes up a gear he’ll get right back into this

  12. Wato 10 years ago

Oh no thats not what I wanted to hear lol
Hopefully the first set was a major blip

  13. Ad 10 years ago

I hope so mate, and that certainly should be the case, but one game into th second set and I’m starting to get a little worried. At 30-0 up lopez patted three easy forehands into the bottom of the net and looked there to be broken again. Luckily he held in the end, but be needs to cut the errors down. Surprisingly sloppy from someone so consistent lately. Still, a long way to go, and Dodig is prone to go through bad patches himself. Vamos Feliciano!

  14. Iddy 10 years ago

Not trying to be wise after the event – was just urging caution around 3-0 Lopez that Sam may have been on.
Lopez could turn it around – a plus for u guys is he does sometimes start 5setters on the slow side.

  15. Iddy 10 years ago

I was going to tip Peng as the upset/ super single at 9/2. But went for games instead. Peng just won set 1 6-3. I really want Agnieszka to win this match though as she is my favourite player.

  16. Ad 10 years ago

Talking about upsets we wish we’d tipped, Australian open finalist cibulkova lost to a 15 year old yesterday… I nearly backed it on an impulse. gutted!

  17. Sam 10 years ago

Thiem to beat Lacko? Thoughts anyone?

  18. Sam 10 years ago

    Looking at possibly:

    Klizan
    Thiem
    Sousa
    Lisicki

    3.74/1.

    Thoughts?

  19. Mr. Orange 10 years ago

    Cycling: Vuelta stage 5 result

    HOFLAND v Ciolek
    D. CARUSO v Kelderman
    Double @ 2.48 with 888Sport WIN! :)

Hofland was 3rd (Ciolek hasn’t finished yet) and Caruso finished in front of Kelderman like he did in all sprint stages.

  20. Ad 10 years ago

Lisicki and sousa look like pretty safe bets to me. Not sure about Klizan. Darcis is a capable player on his day. And I don’t really know how to call the Thiem game either. Thiem will win if he plays his best tennis, but he hasn’t got much experience on this stage.

  21. Ad 10 years ago

Dodig just played the most ridiculous hot-dog lob from behind the baseline. Everything’s go for him right now!

  22. Wato 10 years ago

Worth a few quid on Lopez to win at this stage? Currently around 12/5??

  23. Ad 10 years ago

If have to admit that Dodig looks the more likely player to win this set at this stage. Lopez hasn’t really got going yet and hasn’t had a break point I can remember. On the face of ok those odds are decent though. He still has a good chance of turning this round. Just needs to play a bit better!

  24. Wato 10 years ago

Mr Orange brilliant again mate at Good odds too thanks :)

    • Mr. Orange 10 years ago

      Cheers Wato!

  25. Ad 10 years ago

Well it wasn’t very pretty but lopez breaks back. Hopefully thats a platform for some better tennis. I’m expecting 5 long up and down sets at this rate, and no one wants that!

  26. Wato 10 years ago

Guys forgive my lack of knowledge but I can’t find a Sousa on the list???

Men or women’s section? Lol plus when I find it worth a double along with lisicki?

Didn’t back Lopez at the good price at didn’t want to bring more bad luck to the double I already have him in lol

  27. Ad 10 years ago

Sensible move Wato. It’s 1-1 but he’s a break down now and he really isn’t playing his next tennis. Dodig is really up for this and is on top right now.

  28. Ad 10 years ago

J sousa is playing dancevic in the mens draw this evening

  29. Ad 10 years ago

I’m off out to the Arsenal match. shocking performance from Lopez thus far and I’m glad to see the back of it! Dodig is playing okay but Lopez is beating himself. Looks completely flat.

Paddy power are refunding losing first scorer bets and other markets tonight if arsenal fail to qualify. Girouds and Ramsey’s absences are a blow, but Arsenal always qualify

  30. cheese 10 years ago

Another thanks to Mr Orange! Great stuff.

  31. Daz 10 years ago

Raal ,,, Anthony Joshua fighting Manchester sept 13th against some German ,Constantine or something like that ,will expect your usual expert advice

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Will do Daz mate, the guy lost to Danny Williams about 5 years ago. 2 rounds maximum but need to see how many they schedule it for as it will affect the betting.

  32. Iddy 10 years ago

Dodig – cramping or possible hamstring injury. It’s looking good for you guys.

  33. Iddy 10 years ago

It’s 2-2 now – think Lopez was 4-2 Down in set 4 but won it 6-4

  34. Iddy 10 years ago

Dodig has quit – so should be a void bet or Lopez if ur with ones that don’t void

  35. Iddy 10 years ago

On the downside Lajovic is playing pants v Janowicz
And my tips Anderson/ Klizan are getting battered

  36. daz 10 years ago

    Stoke 2-0 :) Just need another one for -2 @ 4/1

  37. mregnid 10 years ago

MrF Just to let you know that the Deutsche Bank starts on Friday not Monday as you state in your comment.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

mregnid, meant to say started Friday and finished Monday.

  38. Iddy 10 years ago

Well Klizan has come back from 2-0 down to win 3/2 and bring in the nap at 1.3/1.
Klizan/ Cornet/ Anderson was the treble
I was also 2/3 on singles today
    Peng +5.5g v Radwanska WIN
pirinkova v Jankovic over 18.5g WIN
    Lajovic d Janowicz LOSE
Close to a full house – hopefully more of same tomorrow – good luck to those with matches still in play

  39. Wato 10 years ago

Brilliant Iddy yet more winners have dazzlers playing overnight so hopefully wake up to a new balance lol

  40. cheese 10 years ago

Anderson and Kilzan coming back was mental. Great job Iddy.

  41. Mr. Orange 10 years ago

    Cycling: Vuelta stage 6

Great stage to look forward to tomorrow. First serious test with a spectacular finish on a very steep hill. The leaders jersey is up for grabs tomorrow, because this stage will be to hard for race leader Matthews. I think we will see a uphill sprint with all the GC contenders.

I will be on below match-ups, winner in capitals:

    KELDERMAN v Samuel Sanchez
    EVANS v Gesink

    Double @ 2.13 with 888Sport (Bet365 @ 2.30)

Kelderman already showed in the Giro he can be with the best on these extreme steep finishes and was also with the best (4th) on the first uphill finish last Monday. Sanchez is not as goods as he was in the past and with Kelderman’s current form I can’t see him get to the line first.

Evans also showed he is still kind of a specialist on these finishes. He had some good results in the Giro on similar stages and is tough to beat. Gesink is on his way back, but isn’t a fast finisher and is better on the longer (less steep) climbs.

  42. cooldude 10 years ago

Ad, was there any major upsets today?

  43. Ad 10 years ago

When I left the house your boys were getting battered Iddy- I come back and they’ve both stormed home for the win! Well done mate. Top stuff today.

  44. Jake Hicks 10 years ago

    Mr F,
who were the guys that gave basketball and ice hockey tips not so long ago and will they be back?
    Thankyou,
    Jake

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Jake, I’d imagine tips will be back for the new season.

  45. Mr. Orange 10 years ago

Jake Hicks, the new NBA and NHL season hasn’t started yet. I am sure we will see them again when it kicks off

  46. Ad 10 years ago

Dude- Radwansa getting dumped out in straight sets is a pretty big upset. That seems to be about it for today though. Sharapova has been teasing us as usual by dropping the first set but looks to have things under control now. I really need to Remeber I back 2-1 sharapova every time she plays. It’s just free money in the long run!

    • cooldude 10 years ago

If i could only do the same with Mark Selby in snooker! the guy seems to to drop 3 or 4 frames and comeback to win. A true champion

  47. Wato 10 years ago

Ad you need to leave us more often it was carnage until you left lol ;)

  48. Ad 10 years ago

Well I’m off to New York for 10 days at the weekend Wato so you might get lucky!

Dude- another big shock was Sloane Stephens blowing a set and a break lead to get beaten by Larsson, a player with nothing that can hurt her. But sometimes all you have to do against Stephens is get the ball in play and she’ll do the rest, so it’s not as big a shock as Radwanska who never beats herself.

  49. Ad 10 years ago

Well we just about got there in the end today, but it certainly wasn’t pretty. My nap either half landed or fully landed, depending on whether your bookie voids retirements or pays out if a sets been completed. hopefully we can avoid all such issues and drama tomorrow. I’ll have my tips for Thursday up late morning.

  50. Wato 10 years ago

Looking forward to those and also Iddy’s choices and thoughts I had Sousa and Lisicki there as a double for another few quid before bedtime so a pretty good night cheers guys :)

  51. Jake Hicks 10 years ago

Mr Orange, Mr F, cheers for the reply. I should do a little homework before asking stupid questions…

    Thanks,
    Jake

  52. DeAndre 10 years ago

    Jake,

I’ll be putting up NBA bets every night that I’ve got the cash to do so :-) But once I’m skint you’re on your own haha :-D

  53. Dan 10 years ago

Got there in the end Ad, kind of! ahaha

PP voided my bet, which I was actually reasonably happy with in the end, as it was nervy for the whole match.

  54. Iddy 10 years ago

Yesterday was crazy – felt like a loss when could have had Klizan at 10/1 and Anderson 8/1 at one stage haha.
Anyways will have a look at today’s card and see if I can pick anything out.

  55. cheese 10 years ago

It feels like in-play tennis betting could be an absolutely gold mine, but you do need to put the time in.

    • Ad 10 years ago

It can be cheese, the key is being disciplined and only betting in-play when you have good reason to believe the comeback will happen, not when you’re seduced by long odds and optimism. That’s how you bleed your balance away. You have to accept sometimes you will miss out on a big price that ends up coming in and kick yourself for it. But as long as you place more winners than you do losers that’s all that matters.
