GREG posted another winning nap yesterday thanks to goals at Bury and he’s back with one Wednesday pick.

With not much on today he’s focusing on the League Cup tie at Easter Road.

Hibs v Stranraer

Greg says: There is Scottish League Cup action from Easter Road and a game Hibs should win comfortably.

Their problem this season is scoring goals. For all their good play they lack a cutting edge in the final third.

But I don’t think they’ll have problems scoring tonight! Hibs have a fairly decent record at home in the competition and have netted three or more in their last seven matches against lower-league opposition with 13 of their last 15 home matches in the Cup seeing over 2.5 goals.

Stranraer haven’t started the season particularly well and it would be a surprise if Hibs didn’t score a few here.

Back Hibs over 2.5 team goals
(1-1, bet365)

The nap looks good to me greg.

Will Hibs be putting out a strong team? Hearts decided not to last night and only got through after extra time.

Pydar, there were slight doubts about Hearts but none with Hibs. At home and need a performance after a poor start. I reckon they’ll be full strength.

Pydar, I can’t see Stubbs taking any risks with this game given how they’ve started the season! They are at home and will want to ensure they put a good showing on! The natives won’t be best pleased if they don’t score a few tonight!

Cheers Greg. I went to your old ground when I was in single figures and I think it was towards the end of the season and Aberdeen were wrapping up the league. so maybe 84 or 85. Next time I went it was to your new ground and you beat us like 5-0. We were still good then so it was a shock to my system. Late 80s early 90s. Also, in Blair Atholl castle caravan park there used to be Mainline Baby Squad painted all over the roundabout. Was that you vandalising the place?

Jim, I was just a little nipper on your visit to Muirton park mate, I do remember the 5-0 game, was probably one of our best ever results at Mcdiarmid, even after 25 years! The dons where had a great side back then, was just one of those days! I’m sure the club created 5-0 t- shirts haha!

Ah the baby squad, one of our 80’s mobs aong with the Pack – no me sadly, although I know a few of the boys who were involved back then :)

Definitely should be a strong side. If memory serves me right these teams met 2 years ago in this cup and hibs scraped thru 4-3 with a strong side so I don’t think they will take any chances tonight. A mate of mine plays with Stranraer too and he says their not as strong as last seasons side (yet lol). Over 2.5 hibs goals it is :-)

Hi Greg. Thinking of including Ross county at home to score against Dundee United on sat as part of a dbl with the pars over 1.5 tg. Double is around evens. See any problems with it or any other safer bets around evens you fancy?

I really le the look of it but don’t want to have blinkers on!

Thanks for all the great tips, Greg. Keep up the good work. Let’s keep bashing the bookies!!!!!

Greg, well done with your NAP yesterday mate. I have taken your Hibs tip got 21/20 at Hills. I took Rangers 02.5g at 4/5 done both as singles and a bit of lose change on the double. Good luck tonight mate.

Unlucky tonight Greg – your tips have been absolute crackers recently and, more importantly, are highly successful over time.

Everything prior to KO suggested a solid Hibs win and in-play everything backed it up…like you said, sharpness in front of goal the issue.

Keep up the good work pal – onwards and upwards.

Hull shaker, cheers sir, disappointed but that’s football and it will happen from time to time! Will be steering well clear of any match involving bing Hibs and goals – Stubbs got a real challange on his hands

Still a great tip Greg, under 1.5 hibs goals was still odds against at 75mins so part cover was available, keep them coming mate
