GREG’S Monday match was postponed so no damage done unless you were the poor pitch being battered by the conditions.

I’ve already warned about League Cup night and Greg’s advice is to back goals be it over 2.5, both to score or team goals as opposed to WDW. Shocks almost reached double figures in England in the last round but as I’ve said in Scotland the tournament is taken more seriously by the top teams.

Bury v Leicester

Greg says: The visitors have started the season well but this is a tricky trip. The Foxes have seen BTTS in their last nine matches and when you look at their League Cup record away from home it suggests goals will be on the cards.

Eleven of their last 12 matches saw over 2.5 goals and they play a Bury side who have witnesed 22 goals in their opening five matches.

The pleasing thing from a Bury point of view is they have scored two or more in four of their five matches this season but have conceded two or more in four of those.

I don’t see Bury’s gung-ho mentality changing especially given they’ll fancy their chances of causing an upset. Leon Clarke has been an useful addition and there should be goals at Gigg Lane.

Back over 2.5 match goals 4-5 (NAP)

Dunfermline v Dundee

Greg says: As Mr F has pointed out, Scottish teams tend to take the legaue cup seriously as its the only real chance of winning a trophy + the financial reward that comes with it.

“The American owners of Dundee have made it very clear they expect Dundee to be top 6 and challenging for cups every single season. There is no chance of Paul Hartley playing a weakened team tonight.

“Dundee will be at full strength and should be too good for the Pars. They lost one of their influential players to a broken leg last week and having spoken to a Dunfermline colleague he’s a massive loss.

Back Dundee 4-5 (Ladbrokes)

For small stakes I’m taking Exeter, Notts County and Port Vale all to score away at Sunderland, Villa and WBA respectively. It’s the cup, the big guns will have the little guns on, would be very surprised if at least two of them didn’t net, here’s for the three to net.

Pays just over 9-2

    Hi Greg,

Just a quick thanks for your tip’s.

I am looking at the form table’s of East Fife vs Motherwell and 8.00 @bet365 for a home win seems a lot. Have Fife really no chance against a dire Motherwell???

GL tonight and i will be backing your NAP!

windy, form tables aren’t as important when you compare teams from different divisions. It’s a tricky trip for Motherwell but if their attitude’s right they should win.

Ben, it’s not necessary and only adds pressure to Greg.
He’s proved himself over the last couple of years and doesn’t need to put up points to justify his tips.
However, if you want to keep them you’re welcome to do so.

Ben it’s a good idea to keep a record of all the bets you place. You could also add Greg’s tips to your own to keep track of how you are getting on on a weekly or monthly basis. For your own bets it can be good to see which types of bets you are doing better at than others

Backed your team to score treble. Out of interest I priced both teams to score on same 3 games and bet365 price it at around 5/1. Worth a wee dabble

Greg, decent show on a tricky night but loads of goals.
Wouldn’t have touched Hearts with that team but at least it was covered for no loss.
