IT wasn't a great night but it was still a profitable one thanks to my EFL favourites accumulator.
I put 3pts on at 23-10 and wins for Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Chelsea, Everton and Newcastle more than covered small losses elsewhere.
My
Super Single was 1.1pt on Oxford draw no bet but they were well beaten by Brighton despite boss Chris Hughton ringing the changes.
The Top treble was nowhere but a Celtic goal beat the
both to score treble – as it did Bet of the Day.
Credit to Greg Browning for his Nap winner and over 2.5 goal treble.
It's Man City's turn to qualify for the
Champions League tonight as they start 5-0 up on Steaua Bucharest. Other ties are Monchengladbach v Young Boys, Rostov v Ajax, Apoel v Copenhagen and Salzburg v Dinamo Zagreb and I've posted a separate preview with Russians Rostov my tentative Super Single.
In the EFL Cup there are four ties – Accrington v Burnley, Fulham v Middlesbrough, Morecambe v Bournemouth and Sunderland v Shrewsbury and having studied them I'm going for a small treble.
Back Bournemouth and Burnley at League Two opponents and add Apoel to score against Copenhagen. I may add something later but it's unlikely.

Paul, yer friends at DR must have this alreafy printing as we speak but just had a look through the coefficients. If Celtic are to get in the 3rd pot they’ll need Rostov v Ajax, Apoel v Copenhagen and Zagreb to beat RB ??
We reckon Rostov, Zagreb have to win as well as either Young Boys or Steaua so it’s unlikely.
Apoel and Copenhagen doesn’t matter as either will be in top four.
Hopefully get Ajax in 3rd pot, CSKA top pot and Monchengladbach in 2nd. Guaranteed to get Barca though, Dortmund and Monaco would be good but all in all who cares ? probably finish bottom but £30M up…plus the £2M fi winning tge league ?
I must’ve been looking at last seasons as had celtic 39, copenhagen 40.9 but can mind seeing celtic 40+ when checking playoffs coefficients. Wish wiki would juat keep them all up and no take after 1st games been played
Yeah Celtic are ahead of Copenhagen but it’s going to take Young Boys or Steaua to win to move up and can’t see that. Can’t see a bad team among the 32 – unless you include Celtic!
Different story last week at home but now a 3+ new players should come in…Shweinsteiger and McCarthy been mentioned but doubt that’ll happen
Defo no chance of getting 3rd pot then ?
Yeah almost no chance of pot 3 but I don’t think it makes much difference. Chance of McCarthy on loan – no hope of Schweinsteiger.
Shweinsteiger meant to be let go for 2M but the wage will be quadruple what Celtic to pay him, he’ll probably be away to China,Qatar or MLS , China with them paying £300K a week to anybody with a decent career most likely. Not gonna turn that down for £30K to play 6 CL games then partick motherwell Hamilton etc
Looked off the pace at Man United – going to Celtic would be a massive culture shock and at his age he ain’t going to take the wages drop.
Well done with the acca Mr F!
No time for a write-up but mentioned a couple of times I fancy Darlington to have a strong campaign this year – this evening they take on an in-form Chorley side in a game that could well see a few goals with the away side not goal-shy…
DARLINGTON 1883 v CHORLEY (19.45 KO):
Darlington Over 1.5 TGS…5/6
Darlington Over 2.5 TGS…5/2
Also going to have pop at this team goal double:
Man City Over 2.5 TGS
Darlo Over 1.5 TGS
Double pays 2.36/1
Best of luck with all bets ?
Mr F thanks for your dedication. I bagged the favourites acca. Just check the Norway Division 1 card. Kristiansund is priced at 1.85 against a Kongsvinger side with only 2 away wins all-season. Kristiansunds have won 5 of the last 6 at home and lead the league overally. The same can be said about Jerv, priced at 1.50 against a poor KFUM with a single away win all season. Like Kristiansund , Jerv have won 5 of the last six home games. Thank you again.
Cheers for the Norwegian tip – I might have a dabble.
Sampiao v Avai
Over 8.5 asian corners 2 025 ?
Sampiao RT7 9/4 ?
HT was 2-1 so a risk paid off, playing wi the money here.
Olimpo RT7 11/2
Over 9.5 asian corners 1.925
Lobos BUAP RT7 7/1
Over 10.0 asian corners 1.825
RT7 obviously small stakes but home sides should be ahead and hope the away teams put pressure on and get a few corners
Good stuff Alves ?
Both Asian Corners WIN
Both RT7 LOSE
?
Cheers Hull, see your no doing no bad yersel wi 7/1, as yi know usually never give praise unless I’m on it but ? both ma games started as expected but corners can be game of 2 halves, hopefully get suhin to play wi later on…
Alright Guys, it is your main man Max here with three tips for you on the Man City game and a value longshot tip at 16/1. I avoid the EL Cup games at this early stage, and having seen a few tips for Burton to score against Liverpool I am glad I did.
I said at the start of the season as a Liverpool fan I expected Celtic to play attacking football under Brendan, and until his last season we did just that, some Lpool fans disagreed with me on here but its a game of opinions. Celtic were an embarrassment last night and to read a comment above that they hope to get Ajax or CSKA is laughable, they will get hammered. Rodgers is there to win the league and then get a job back in premier league or Championship even League 1, or like Gary Neville a side abroad.
Man City are likely to rest plenty but under Pep everyone is out to impress. It is difficult to find value but I never tip anything at ridiculously odds on and my followers appreciate that so here are my tips. Aguero scored a hat trick and missed 2 pens. A player I rate is Kelechi Iheanacho who may star tonight. He recently signed a new contract at City and has scored 16 goals in 12 starts. I rate him as NAP material to score anytime at 10/11 and City win at 1/1 William Hill as my NB. I think he will be out to impress and 2+ is 4/1 Bet365 and I will put on another 4PTS.
Iheanacho to score 10/11 NAP (20PTS)
Iheanacho anytime wincast 1/1 NB (10PTS)
Iheanacho to score 2+ 4/1 (4PTS)
Max’s Longshot bet
Inheanacho Hat trick 16/1
GL
Loving it ???
I wish Iheanacho was still them odds. Will be having him in a few tonight. Probably do all MrF’s bets and add him on at the end.
Last bet blooming 3-0 at HT and 0-1 down, RT7 looks a big price for me

Manchester City – Steaua Bucharest
==============================
– although it has only theoretical chances to qualify, Steaua hopes to leave a better impression in this match after first leg they were dominated by City ;
– Steaua lost their last six trips to England, against Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea , Middlesbrough and managed only 2 draws in 9 trips;
– I am counting on a new game with many goals, because I think City will again play very offensive, and will be able to score since the break;
– Steaua has nothing to lose and probably will want to attack , so the show is again guaranteed;
– Manchester City scored 2 goals in the first half and missed 2 pens, i think reserve players will want to make a good impression , looking for a place in the first team , and goals should come in the start of the game;

Not posted so far this season but with the good start I have had coupled with some very close monster accas I feel confident enough to share some tips, last night I missed out on a 400/1 fold by the fact bentike didn’t score why added a ATG to it I don’t even know! Today I’ll go simple.
Melbourne Victory over 2.5 TG
Darlington over 2.5 MG
Leatherhead over 2.5 MG
Corby over 2.5 MG
That’s 6.15/1 on bet 365
Add:
Burnley, Sunderland and Bournemouth over 1.5 TG
25/1
Man City over 2.5 MG for 39/1
Was tempted to add Aguero to score 2+ to make it 77/1 but I’ll keep it simple but feel free to add that to.
All of the first set of games have a very good record of going over 2.5 with Melbourne scoring at least 3 against their opponents in the last 4 meetings.
Good luck
Can’t see aguero playing tonight pal
Fair point, I went with the simple one as I can still see over 2.5 MG.
Iheanacho ATG at 5/6 is a nice bumper or 2+ goals at 15/4 would take that to about 100/1
treble
man city
sunderland
burnley to qualify
£20 returns £40.40 @betfair
It must have been nervy for celtic fans last night i must admit i am surprised they went through,i would of thought beer sheva would have won both legs just goes to show how important it was that celtic gave a good showing in their home leg so well done celtic, there would have been no shame going out to the israeli team as they normally are a well organised unit.
There should be goals in the blacktown vs Bonyrigg game about to kick off
Over 3.5 EVENS
Over 4.5 12/5
Blacktown over 1.5 TGS 4/5
MFK u19 vs Sigma Olomouc in play
Over 2.5 EVENS
Just scored as typing so over 3.5 will be EVENS now but I hot on over 2,5
*WON*
5-0
So both options came in
Mrf/anyone i see Shrewsbury are evens to score a goal v. Sunderland what peoples thinking on this one?
Anything goes in EFL Cup.
Tips are up, it’s a low stakes – off to golf in the heat.
There is always a chance especially with moyes in charge!!
I would be cautious tho as Shrewsbury have failed to score in their first two away games and have only scored 1 away goal in the last 5 away games
As a Sunderland fan I’d say this has an excellent chance. Mannone is injured so Pickford will be in goal and our squad is full of kids as cattermole Larson Kirchhoff Kone and billy Jones are all out injured. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Shrewsbury qualify
Leave max alone, his tips are first class.
What a terrible start I’m sticking with the same bet gonna add iheanacho to score 2+ small stakes
Nice to see your on my tips, hopefully we will all be rich by tonight. GL

The shortened version of his name seems to be accepted. Yes, I think when max calls people his followers he is just having a giggle. His posts can be fun if you take them with a pinch of salt (like his ‘live on location’ reports from Euro16 – we all know he probably wasn’t there but it was a laugh reading it) I thought at first he was a certain previous member but I don’t think so. He’s okay in my eyes.
Lol. Yeah didn’t mean to doubt you were at the Euros, fair play.
Keep going. The threads are all the brighter for yr lively posts.
You’re spot on – don’t take Max seriously and you’ll be fine.

My Derby straight win tip bombed, so apologies to the site for the duff info.
It was a last minute barbeque invite that got me out of the house and Derby rested 8 players – in anticipation of Fridays match against Burton.
Carlisle embarrassed Derby in the first half and it was stalemate with 0-0 at ht. Derby grabbed a goal about 10 mins into the 2nd half and sometime before 90 mins, Carlisle equalised. No goals in extra time took us to penalties. I think Derby won 14-13 or 13-12 which shows we scraped through.
A pattern for Derby is very evident, ignoring pre-match friendlies, Derby’s matches have all ended up under 2.5 tmgs in league and cup. We’re not as free scoring as we were and whilst everyone else seems to of raised their own bar, Derby have stood still. A new manager sometimes spurs on a side immediately, it seems that Nigel Pearson is having a very tough time to make that 4-4-2 work. We are more resolute ( slightly ) than with the 4-3-3 BUT the Derby goals have dried up. We also tend to be contributing less than usual in the corners count too.
I cannot remember the last time Burton beat Derby ( we’ve been playing them in pre-season matches for as long as I can remember ) and with Nigel Clough back, it could be a very closely fought match.
If Derby players had started to play at anywhere near their capability, we’d push Burton aside and rattle their net 3+ times, but we’re not. Nigel Clough knows how to make players work for him and he must be rubbing his hands at this fixture. The advantage surely has to be on him. He rested 5 players yesterday, whilst Derby rested 8. I’ll look more into the match between now and Friday.

Just a speculative punt for me today ahead of the weekend card. I was planning to look ahead to Friday’s fixtures but a little something in the 2nd tier of Polish football caught my eye.
Podbeskidzie have started the season strongly following relegation from the Ekstraklasa. In three away games, they’ve won each of them 2-0, while they’ve drawn their only home game 1-1. However, that draw came against top of the table Suwalki who, after 4 games, are also unbeaten. Today they are visited by Chojniczanka, who have seen BTTS land in all 4 of their league fixtures this season – including a 5-4 home victory! I like the look of relegated Podbeskidzie here, but cannot affirm enough that this is only for small stakes as a knowledge of lower-tier Polish football is not something that I possess.
Podbeskidzie O1.5 Team Goals @ 9/10 (Bet365) -small stakes-
Following Carlisle’s last-kick-of-the-game equalizer at Derby, at least I collected on insurance in the Insurance 5 game Acca. I am largely availing myself of MrF’s selection box to use the free bet.

Not really a lot I fancy again tonight, have seen Iheanacho mentioned and I will be on him to score if he starts, also going to be on Man City to win both halves at 11/10.
Have been looking at the weekend as I’m heading to the Highlands for a long weekend and I am quite surprised to see the odds for over 2.5 and btts in the game between Chelsea and Burnley. Its currently at 7/4 which seems way to big to me considering chelsea have yet to keep a clean sheet this season. The only thing that worries me is Burnley will need Andre Gray to perform and with whats been going on in the media and getting charged by the FA that could not happen.
Im also interested who Mike Dean will be refereeing, I’ve had a quick look but not sure if it will be released yet?? After the two penalties given in the game between Man City and Stoke he could be under pressure to make sure he’s consistent in his decisions on pushing and pulling at set pieces.
Also well done to Mr Fixit and Greg on for there tips last night! Always nice when your tips loose but your still in good profit at the end of the night!
Cheers, enjoy your holiday.

Inplay- kristainsund to WIN 8/11.
Just about recovered from last night’s celebratory Rum and Ether binge, its time for another Champions League Qualifier bet…
Rostov v Ajax – KO 19:45.
Rostov have the advantage after picking up an important away goal in the reverse fixture, which finished 1-1.
Ajax aren’t exactly broiling with confidence at the moment, after inexplicably losing to Willem II at home on Saturday, not the preparation they needed going into a very tricky fixture in Russia.
Rostov are vying to make the Champions League Group Stages for the first time in their clubs history, and the home crowd will be buzzing tonight! So far this season they’ve been impressive at home, picking up 7 points from a possible 9, and conceding 0 goals in the process. Whilst you could argue that the Russian Premier League is a poor one… 3 clean sheets in a row at home is nothing to be sniffed at!
I expect Rostov to set up tonight with a back 5, and will be very difficult to break down, Ajax could be in for a long frustrating night.
Rostov to Qualify @ 1.80 (Bet365) – 2.1 Points
Ajax No Goal Before 60mins @ 1.83 (Bet365) – 1.1 Points.
Good luck with your bets.

@warktheline
I have killed my betting bank on inplays the last 3 days. On a bad run since the weekend. So need to get a clear head and start at the weekend.
Wark you seem like a solid tipster and I like a lot of your tips, so a bit of collaboration could help me come out of this mini rut!?
@philwindy, no worries pal, I don’t put much stakes on Inplay , but still, it all mounts up! Anyhow, for me, by stopping Inplay betting enables me to retain discipline . My next port of call is Austria league 1, Friday early evening.
I will keep an eye out maybe dig into that league and trade thoughts ?
Good evening and thanks for reply ?
Ive noticed a good number of people have Burnley in there accas in the cup against Accrington tonight. We dont tend to focus on having a successful cup run when in the top league and rightly so as Premier League survival is the priority. There wont be wholesale changes to the team (We dont have enough players in our squad to change the complete team) but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Accrington go through tonight. Forewarning, Gray is very unlikely to start and we will probs lineup with the big lump Jutkiewicz alongside Vokes so two target men up top which typically doesnt work out too well for us. 4/6 is way too short for us tonight ( We should be around Evens) and we are not worth backing.
I tried posting several times last night but im guessing the site was down for some reason.
@warktheline @hosay
Brøndby vs Copenhagen this weekend. Without looking to much into it the no brained bet is BTTS @1.90 BET365
Brøndby stadium Will be bouncing after a rejuvenated Brøndby are scoring for fun domestically.
Fck (Copenhagen) have a tough game tonight and will certainly be tired of traveling and playing in the conditions expected in Cyprus.
Brøndby on the other hand have a 2ND leg fixture at home in Europe league qualifying. After a 3-0 loss to Panithnikos they are going to need a miracle to get through, with this in mind I reckon they will put all their effort into beating FCK instead. This is a huge game in Denmark. They are always trying to grab the bragging rights of Copenhagen.
I am going for Brøndby draw no bet, but first putting the bet on Friday after a see PUKKI makes the game tomorrow unscathed. ?
GL tonight all.
Cheers Kyle. Still think yous are good enough to beat Accrington Stanley tonight. Fancy Sam vokes to score he’s 4/1 fgs and 6/4 ags.
Vokes is defo the best bet for a goalscorer if we do net tonight
Cheers Mr F. Still not right but such is life. Been told to get on with things that make me happy, so here I am. I’ll add write ups for these on Friday but a bit of free time so thought I’d look over the weekend fixtures.

No pressure to post just wondered if you are still keeping one eye on the MLS. As I recall it was a profitable league for goals last season.
Anyways all the best.
Fancy Morecambe to net tonight against Bournemouth, BTTS looks ok @ 4/5 but I prefer Morecambe to score before 79mins @ 11/10. I said I was going to have a bet for tonights MLS card but it was too short for what I wanted. Philadelphia Union are a team I like away and should score at Columbus who are always liable for a goal going past their own net. Even more so for Orlando who host Toronto FC. Toronto and Philadelphia to score in a double pays around 75/100, but again, I felt it was too short. William Hill are also doing goal times and you can get both these sides to score before 75 minutes @ 97/100. Obviously a bit riskier but more valuable.
Here’s a scenario to mull over for the Night Owl…
So, you are a better team than your opposition to start off with and the 1st match of the 2-legged Cup tie is on your home ground – you are going to give it a bit of welly to make the most of the home advantage yes?
Add two more factors in:
a. The second leg is in a different country so this 1st home game becomes even more pivotal.
b. The away leg is being played at THE highest ground in the world .
I know what I’d be trying to do in this 1st leg and it wouldn’t be holding out for a 0-0…
CERRO PORTEÑO VS. REAL POTOSÍ (Copa Sudamerica – 23.15 KO):
Real Potosi play out of the Estadio Agustín Víctor Ugarte which sits a staggering 3960 metres above sea level – higher even than Bolivar’s La Paz stadium and by my crude calculations, like playing 90 minutes just under halway up Everest.
Don’t underestimate altitude as a factor in that 2nd leg and it is an incalculable advantage to those players who are trained at altitude – as proven week in week out in the Bolivian leagues for those who follow.
So, it may be a case of ‘making hay whilst the sun shines’ for Cerro Porteno tonight because no doubt they’ll be literally gasping for air in the return fixture.
Two selections:
CERRO PORTENO OVER 2.5 TGS…11/10
CERRO PORTENO OVER 3.5 TGS…3/1
Good luck ?

Gonna go for the underdogs to qualify tonight.
Apoel to qualify – 4.00
Dinamo zagreb to qualify – 2.87
Apoel have got home advantage and extreme heat in their favour whilst Salzburg have a few players out.
On the night dinamo zagreb made it count and decent profit with one winner and one looser in apoel.
