IT wasn’t Johnb’s day on Thursday and it certainly wasn’t a good one for any backers of Taghrooda at York.

Are you as confident as last time with Cavalryman JohnB?

  2. Kev 3 years ago

I really like the look of dolphin village in the 1.55 at York. In sure deandre or boz tipped the horse last week. And it’s strike rate is frightening. Also read in racing post that jockey had 100% win ratio for owner. Not a tip, just my pick for the first race! Good luck all tomo. Any thoughts appreciated

  3. Kev 3 years ago

Its 18/1 on skybet paying first 5 places and money back if favourite wins :)

  4. cooldude 3 years ago

John b, what a stalwart Cavalryman is. Just to witness this horse competing again is a joy in itself

  5. Scuzzle 3 years ago

I’m going against Cavalryman with Pale Mimosa so that should bode well for Cavalryman backers.

  6. Scuzzle 3 years ago

Ertijaal in the 3.05 York must have a chance at 10/1. Tough race to win but Ertijaal is a tough horse.

  7. Scuzzle 3 years ago

    3.40 York – Steps E/w @ 22/1

This race usually throws up a big price winner, in the last 4 years a 20/1 a 40/1 and a 100/1 shot have won it so Steps at 22/1 is no forlorn hope in this race.
Good jockey booking with Kieren Fallon on board and if Cavalryman comes in this price will surely contract so should be a good trading price if you get on now.
Roger Varian having a good season as trainer as well.

  8. DeAndre 3 years ago

I’m gonna stick to some big priced EW bets today, so that you lot can back all the winning favs 😀

    York 1:55 (17) Dolphin Village 12/1 EW
    York 2:30 (5) High Jinx 7/1 EW
    York 3:05 (10) Sovereign Debt 16/1 EW
    York 3:40 (15) Rangali 11/1 EW
    York 4:20 (11) Muffarreh 12/1 EW
    York 4:55 (2) Maverick Wave 5/1 Win

Good luck everybody….Raal chuck me some of your place pot fancies and I’m sure we can crack it, gotta feeling it’ll be a big one 😀

  9. DeAndre 3 years ago

Only one thing Scuzzle, Steps will want it wet. Check the forecast before parting with the big bucks :-)

  10. sonix 3 years ago

Our preference is however for Stepper point who is a rapid sprinter and did really well in the King George
in which he ran all alone. If he can join the wagon towards the end of the race, then it will certainly have a
golden chance and at 20/1 with Betfred it represent each-way value.
Tip: Stepper Point (each-way) @ odds of 20/1

    Just one today.

    3.40 York. Take Cover – 7/1 overnight,

Been on a terrible run recently i know theres a lot of people on this site on fire just now but i always seem to pick the losing horse in ur selections and the others win lol… was going to make Cavalryman my main bet before i came on amd seen that JohnB has napped it an hes on a worse run than me so have scratched that one. I’ll keep checking in to see who has picked what but it looks a really tough card today

Not a terrible day but could’ve been better. 3 seconds and an 11/10 winner.

Best of times a clear fav but not convinced it will win so I’m going for weight and experience instead. Better odds and a fair chance in my eyes.

Good stuff duncan. When i saw that it had won and its trainer, i did wonder if you’d backed it.then i saw the jockey and thought that you would have!

A GOOD NEWS STORY ABOUT BET3six5 CUSTOMER SERVICE

I had a nicely priced winner @ 7.50 at Ripon on Saturday past. 15minutes ago I noticed that I had a message in the in box. It was informing me that my winning bet had qualified for a free matched bet in the next Channel 4 race. I was annoyed that I hadn’t noticed the message on Saturday. I noticed that the message was time stamped, and that it had been sent 15 minutes after the subsequent race had ended.

I used Live Chat to query this, Bet3six5 worker informed me that I was indeed correct that the message had been sent late and explained to me that the volume of bets it goes through on a Saturday means that it’s not always possible to send messages instantaneously. All fairly plausible and I was already aware that the onus was on myself to be aware of these bonus bets.
I had a brainwave and suggested that as a good and fairly new customer that the bonus could be reinstated as a one off goodwill gesture. After only a few moments, he came back and said that wasn’t possible but that he would credit my account with £50, matching my original bet. Bookies always stand their ground, but if you offer an alternative solution, then, ! wahlah !

To conclude I ended up with the £50 credit in my account and, not having to wager it.

A great start to the weekend.

  138. Duncan Poundcake 3 years ago

I’ll try that for a 3rd time Moscato 7.20 Goodwood @11/8 win bet.

    Thanks Raal,

I hope that you are winning and behaving.

  143. DelC 3 years ago

RaalI know it’s wrong thread but how do you fancy hearts’ chances tomorrow?

    • raaljaca 3 years ago

DelC, I do mate. Raith are not a bad side but I reckon if we keep the ball on the deck and moce it around like we can do then we will win this match. Will be around 4,000 Hearts supporters there so atmosphere will be excellent.

  144. Duncan Poundcake 3 years ago

F Lynch rides 33/1 winner at Hamilton

    • raaljaca 3 years ago

      Boooooooooooo cheat.

    • cooldude 3 years ago

Swany, Lynch has always been a talented jockey. He rode many many winners for 3 or 4 years on the all weather Dundalk and amassed a serious amount of money while riding in the US. In saying that he will always have the negative criticism which he brought upon himself. Since he’s been given another chance in England he has ridden 3 or 4 winners I think and he’s a great jockey when he gets going.

      • swany 3 years ago

Will keep an eye on him dude, that was an unusual booking and we should be taking heed.

  146. Napper valley 3 years ago

I’m having a tiny tiny interest stake on l Morris ride in the next.

So many times a good rider like him has a short price fav turned over only to win on a good priced horse next. No other reason than that really.

  147. cuppel69 3 years ago

Dougie I hope perfect words is a good shout I was on early and I’ve been putting a little more on each winner I got will 10 xs my start stake if wins cmon

Raal mate are these from sources or just tips?
Not that it seems to matter with you as everyday you seem to win a 4figure sum!!

    • raaljaca 3 years ago

Mine Kendog but hoping to get some info later tonight or in the morning. Pale Mimosa was info from Ireland that stated, it cannot lose barring falling over or PJ jumping off. I win that amount rarely but will pass on anything that is well worth a decent bet.

    YORK

GOING: GOOD (GoingStick 6.9; Home straight: Farside 6.9; Centre 7.0′ Stands’ side 6.9) (Rail moved out 3m around home bend and back straight adding 7 yards to official race distances of one mile and over)
    WEATHER (Mostly sunny)
    STALLS 5f & 6f – Stands’ side; Remainder – Inside
i know boz hates the telly races so…. York
    2.05 Graphic
2.40 Connecticut (Luca Cumani’s record in the race is very good – 14163 since 2004)
    3.05 Jungle Cat
    3.50
Only four of the last seventeen winners were drawn lower than ten
Only three last time out winners have prevailed since 1997, from 84 to run
Three year olds have an excellent record: won three from 20 (15%) and placed 50% of the time – pity then, that none run this year; four year olds have a lamentable record: won three from 141 (2%) and placed 17% of the time; five year olds have a very good record: won nine of 94 (10%) and placed 23% of the time.
No horse since 1997 has carried more than 9-04 to victory, and only two have lugged more then 9-02. That said, it is a tightly compressed handicap this year
No horse rated higher than 102 has prevailed since before 1997, though again, it is a tightly compressed handicap this year
All bar one winner since 1997 was running within 60 days of its previous start. Got my fingers bitten by a short priced Prescott horse earlier tonight so one he used to have Mutual Regard and Dare To Achieve.
4.25 Littlemissblakeney ,Hugo Palmer five winners and two seconds from his last eight runners!!! ok Swany
    5.00 no surprise AJMAN BRIDGE
5.35 Speed Hawk, trained by king of the sprinters, Robert Cowell.
