    Cmon johnb.

I know your not into backing odds on shots but i have had a glance at tommorrows racing and have clocked alot of eve/odds on horses. Could you tell me if picking a ”cert” for tomorrow REGARDLESS OF PRICE LOL who would be your selection?

    thank you in advance

david t, there are no certs. There are tips but absolutely no guarantees. Think like that and you’ll be in trouble.

  2. johnb 3 years ago

David T as mr f says there are no certs but Taghrooda must be as close as you can get & 1/4 is a steal because we have all seen how good she is & maybe she should be 1/40 lol
I think everyone knows how much i like Taghrooda :)

Johnb i see lysino is runnin in the same race as your nap which i think was ur nap last week when finishing second. Is there any main reason pickin ur nap over lysino? Cheers

  8. William bailie 3 years ago

John b . Anthem Alexander not ur nap?? We all know how highly you rate this filly ! Smullen sounded super confident yesterday , let’s hope the rain stays away ! Gosden now says when tagroodha wins tomorrow she will be trained for the arc !! Actually he said if but we all know she will rout them tomorrow :) roll on longchamp!

  9. johnb 3 years ago

William yeah owner has also said she is going to the Arc & i think she eill win that too
I have been watching racing for 37 years & Taghrooda is easilly the best filly i have seen

    • cooldude 3 years ago

John b, imo Zenyatta will always be the greatest mare ever in horse racing. She won 19 of her 20 career starts, 14 of these were group 1 races. She also made and broke countless records in the process.

  10. WN 3 years ago

Going to wait till tomorrow before I back anything else, (backed Short Squeeze but I wish I hadn’t as I didn’t know there is a strong chance of rain in the morning).

I was hoping JohnB would have had a little snippet about Anthem Alexander from the trainer like the last time.

  11. johnb 3 years ago

William i did look at Anthem Alexander for a main tip & was close to being one

  12. William bailie 3 years ago

Good to hear your continued enthusiasm mate ! I’m on at 5s and think she will be mighty hard to beat :) glad to see hamdan al makhtoum having a good season , it’s been a while since he had a real superstar !

  13. johnb 3 years ago

NickyH Lysino has been raised 7lb since last run & i think thats too much also Weather Babe should be different class to Lysino

  14. William bailie 3 years ago

Happy days johnb ! I will however wait till tomorrow to see the ground but if the rain stays away foresee a large bet coming . Although giving 3lb to tiggy wiggy won’t be easy .

  15. DeAndre 3 years ago

York 1:55 Kool Kompany 9/4 (NB)

Watched this nag race last time in Ireland, it got boxed in in a messy race and I thought it did well to finish 2nd, soooo close to winning (if backed it, haha). That was a Gruop 1 race so this is definitely the class angle of the race and it can hopefully defy top weight.

York 4:20 Arabian Comet 9/2 (NAP)

Finished 2nd in a Group 2 at Goodwood last time and beat a couple of today’s rivals. Last win was at today’s distance (1m4f) so hopefully that can get her back to winning ways. Trainer excels at this meeting which is another plus.

Looked like it was a good day on the thread yesterday thanks to Bozs’ wonderhorse…more of the same tomorrow please, good luck everyone 😀

  16. Duncan Poundcake 3 years ago

Dutch Rose last race at York 20/80 14/1 won’t last .

  17. Maverick 3 years ago

Kool Kompany in the 1.55 York is jumping right out at me this morning think thats my NAP for today

  18. William bailie 3 years ago

Does anyone know if York got much rain overnight ? Some media saying only 2mm and a dry day today ? Still good / firm ?

  19. kenneth 3 years ago

Kool Kompany, agree with DeAndre and Maverick on this my only bet at York today took 11/4 with BPG.

  20. double carpet 3 years ago

John was wondering why you didnt go for kool kompany surely it’s a class above these today?

  21. NickyH 3 years ago

    Cheers for the feedback johnb

  22. johnb 3 years ago

Double Carpet yeah Kool Kompany has the best form so far but for a two year old to win with a 7lb penalty is hard
Also been over raced this season so far which i dont like to see for two year olds but Hannon always does that

  23. boz 3 years ago

not having a bet at york at all but fast act will give it a race i think and arthur martinleake e/w at 50/1

not my type of meeting to bet at

    good luck

  31. double carpet 3 years ago

back over hurdles and has a decent mark
last 3 victories have been at this track

Can’t make my mind up about anything else so will probably wait till later
    gl to all today
    great days racing ahead

  32. clean the bookies 3 years ago

    Cheers appreciate it.

  33. Ritchie 3 years ago

Small bets on in-form Pat Smullen at York today!Won me some stovies tokens yesterday.

  34. Napper valley 3 years ago

A few horses I like the look of today.

Flos las 2.45 dipity doo dah 7/1
Line the father sin combo and a nice weight claim should see this horse home

    Flos las 3.20 minella reception
Again like the father son combo here and think this horse is good enough to win this

    NA 5.25 miss fortywinks
Going for experience here and again a little weight advantage always helps.

I’m also in free entry at bath. No value at 1/2 anymore but in my eyes this is a banker, I got 8/13. I don’t lump on horses just double my stake on a horse like this. Should be easy money

    GL all

  35. Kendog 3 years ago

Mark h put up two a day for a month, if you do better then you can criticise. If not drop the snide comments.

  36. johnb 3 years ago

Mark H everyone is entitled to an opinion :)

  37. Lossie jim 3 years ago

Small double for me today with Kool Kompany and Tiggy Wiggy, and also a small treble adding Bragging!!

  38. William bailie 3 years ago

Mark h seriously ?? Johnb has probably forgot more about horse racing than you will ever get close to knowing ! Take kendogs advise and let’s see how good your insight is 😉

  39. William bailie 3 years ago

I have to however disagree johnb ! I want taghrooda to ease to success today as I want to see hanagan giving it the full tamali on arc day !! 😉

  40. Wez_1982 3 years ago

WTF? Mark, what tips have you put up?

It’s down to individuals to decide whether to follow someone’s tips or not so it’s that person who is responsible for whether they win or lose money.

I’ve put a few tips up and after a good first day or two I was putting up terrible tips, imagine having to choose tips every day from all of the races available and posting up half a day before the race.

So much can change between then

  44. TheButler 3 years ago

Just waiting on Boz ,Tickety Boo and Dougie C tips. Think I will go 10p accumulator or Heinz on all their tips.

  45. boz 3 years ago

and plenty of winners on the thread

Put today’s up soon still got nose in the RP

    Happy days

  46. raaljaca 3 years ago

Boz, Dougie and Tickety are all capable of finding winners mark.

    • cooldude 3 years ago

Raal, memories of your Pontefract placepot :)

      • raaljaca 3 years ago

dudes, will be nowhere near that but I have it 4 times noe and have backed 8/1 and 20/1 winners and landed a cracking forecast and each way bet so more than happy so far. If it paid £100 I will be happy as I will get 4 times the dividend. Fingers crossed!

  47. TheButler 3 years ago

Right I call this me Fix it page L63. Executrix 5.15, burnt cream 2.55, Cataria girl 5.45, Sparkle factor, Kool Company 1.55, Arabian Comet 4.20. Thanks to all the tipsters here, fingers crossed. Small stakes

  48. boz 3 years ago

Mark. There are a lot of great tipsters on this site. But the main man is johnb. He has a great knowledge of horse racing. Personally I would call no one this site. We’re all in it together to beat the bookies and have a laugh along the way.

  49. Napper valley 3 years ago

In my humble opinion jb brings more than just tips it’s his knkwdge of racing. I’ll admit I don’t follow him any more and do others but I’ve learnt more from him than anyone. And don’t forget how much this thread has grown since jb joined as well.

The regs have always been here but so many have come on board since and added to it with great tips.

Moaners like you mark should start spending time learning how to pick a decent horse, then we might take notice of you in a good way. I’m not great but I have taken in enough to pick some nice well priced winners all thanks to this site.

  50. mark h 3 years ago

Yeah boz I agree there are a lot of tipsters but sorry mate I disagree jb is main man no way just coz his on mr f payroll doesn’t mean his main man doesn’t it go down on overall s/rate ppl like myself come on this site to have a look for certain ppl so how can he be main man no chance he has the knowledge no doubt beating the bookies is main objective happy days

    • Profile photo of Mr Fixit Author
      Mr Fixit 3 years ago

mark h, you don’t like johnb then why read his tips? Plenty of people are quite happy to have him on board so off you hop to another site that may provide you with the racing tipster you’ve always longed for.

  51. keano 3 years ago

Mark,I personally do not put up tips or comment very often.Your comments about JB are nothing other than negative and pointless and devalue the racing thread. To bet you have to be over 18 years old, comments like yours are childish and unnecessary.

Act like a grown up! read what you want to read and then act on the information.

Your an adult make your own decisions and don’t blame anyone when things don’t work out.

    • Profile photo of Mr Fixit Author
      Mr Fixit 3 years ago

keano, is he an adult? By his comments I’d question that. People like that should be ignored and then I’ll make them disappear. Criticism of Johnb is fine (all tipsters get it because no one has a 100 per cent record) but not like that.

  52. Scuzzle 3 years ago

Trixie only for me today on

    Tiggy Wiggy 2.30 York 2/1

  56. William bailie 3 years ago

I know wn that bites !! :( hope anthem Alexander gets away with it ! Aslong as it stays good she should be ok ! Might ruin sole powers chance tho in the nunthorpe if It rains more tomorrow or Saturday :(

  59. Prav 3 years ago

Only my opinion but I don’t think anything will beat Tiggy Wiggy in the 2.30, think he will smash that extra furlong!

  60. TheButler 3 years ago

Hahaha that busted a lot of place pots

@ PRAV I doubt HE will smash anything mate as the lowther stakes is confined to fillies ??!!
Oh and anyone worried by the rain the time of the first race compares favourably to yesterday’s 6f races so rain hasn’t got into the ground too much!

  64. raaljaca 3 years ago

Patience Alexander and Shes a Worldie at 18s and 66s each way as they have the same dad as Tiggy Wiggy :)

cmon anthem alexander a we tener on it hope hughes rides like he did in the last race

  66. Daniel 3 years ago

Anyone see Mile House pulled off the track in the 2:10. Was 10-12 lengths clear of the rest when pulled off and then crossed the finish line well in front of the eventual winner.

  67. TheButler 3 years ago

Am on Patience Alexander, he’s beaten Tiggy Wiggy this year at York.

    • raaljaca 3 years ago

Got it with Cursory Glance and Tiggy Wiggy in the placepot.

      • raaljaca 3 years ago

Balducci, Two for Two and Short Squeeze next up for the placepot.

  71. WN 3 years ago

Wow, Tiggy Wiggy is the real deal.

  72. double carpet 3 years ago

    Very impressive tiggy wiggy

  73. GeorgeK 3 years ago

    2.55 bath –

    Burnt Cream (nap)

Come very close on last outings, beaten by a nose last time out, 2 lengths the race before.
Has the advantage of frequent running at bath, so knows the course well. Other market leader has been running in a higher class with little success, dropped down today but wont have the ability needed to deny Burnt Cream from the win.

  74. Scuzzle 3 years ago

Great price on Tiggy Wiggy, I took 7/4 last night because I honestly thought this would go off nearer even money.

  75. Skippy 3 years ago

Damn you pat smullen thort tonto had it there, oh we’ll will take 9/2 for the place all day long, raal thanks for pointing out the place only market

    • raaljaca 3 years ago

Skippy, wasn’t bothering today mate but swany and Dougie sent me some stuff so placepot rolls on and had a 2nd and a winner from Hugo’s yard, over £1000 up already from swanys tips alone

Currently on holiday in olu deniz, and trying to take my mind off the scorching heat by keeping up to date with all the goings on in here. Shame there are still the odd idiotic individuals sharing nothing but negativity…anyways, just had offer of evens for taghrooda to win by 2 or more lengths come through on betvictor instabet. Good value or not?

  85. gus 3 years ago

as pointed out yesterday chaps NO such thing as a dead cert

  86. double carpet 3 years ago

3.55 ffos las von galen 14/1 taking a risk but if he jumps could get a place small ew

  87. WN 3 years ago

    WOW

  88. alec 3 years ago

bookies mst have won a fortune their a guy on site today was looking for a dead cert mr did warn him no guarantee bet hop the guy didnt put his money on it tagorah

    • raaljaca 3 years ago

alec, they are horses not machines so anybody who backs blindly and heavily without any info deserves to lose. A stable will know if a horse is fit for the day but without that info tipping and/or backing is pointless unless it is for money you can afford to lose. Swany’s info was priceless and gave me an 11/1 second, 9/4 place only and a winning 8/1 shot.

  89. clean the bookies 3 years ago

What a training performance from o brien WOWWW

  90. TheButler 3 years ago

    Hahaha what a shock

  91. raaljaca 3 years ago

    TAGHROODA 10/1 ARC DE TRIOMPHE

Still a possible each way bet.

  92. double carpet 3 years ago

    Omg what a shock !!!

  93. Russ 3 years ago

tapestry best fiver ever spent :)

  94. alec 3 years ago

ive learned from the site dont back big money on odds like tagroda to try get money back from loseing bets thanks guys their was a lot of money on it channel 4 said they must be sick well done anyone backed ryan moore

  95. prav 3 years ago

    No value in a 1/5!

  96. Stormin 3 years ago

Watching C4 they said someone put £10,000 on Taghrooda, ouch!!

  97. boz 3 years ago

always said it these big meetings on c4 are bookies benefit meetings

    • raaljaca 3 years ago

boz, following Hugo Palmer has made it an excellent day and if Weld and Smullen can win one of the last 2 would make it even excellenter!! :)

      • boz 3 years ago

raal hope it comes in for you mate

        • raaljaca 3 years ago

Cheers boz but more excited with my placepot, 8 lines at 25p up so 2 races to cme but would settle for a £100 odd dividend as I will have it twice so far.

  98. Russ 3 years ago

Raal.. winning makes Russ happy :)

  99. alec 3 years ago

rajacca yous certainly no your stuff with horses it must take yous some time to pick winners and study their form i bet 2 horses today now where just backed legia warsaw at evens looks a good bet chers

    • raaljaca 3 years ago

alec, I know very little like most on here and rely on info which I get, swany, ticketyboo and Dougie have a knack of identifying excellent priced winners and boz sticks his nose in the Racing Post each day and produces results. Just following these guys is very profitable but for me also football is where to make the money.

  100. prav 3 years ago

Good luck Raal with the last race.

    • raaljaca 3 years ago

Cheers prav mate. 20/1 winner and a £110.03 forecast in the last, unbelievable day.

  101. raaljaca 3 years ago

    Remaining placepot picks;

    TAGHROODA TAPESTRY

    STARLET-QUEEN OF ICE-ARABIAN COMET

    SPARKLE FACTOR-DUTCH ROSE

25p lines with 4 winning lines running so far.

Just gets better and better. Queen of Ice and Arabian Comet in reverse forecasts with Starlet pays £110.03 :) and gives me £4 running into the last leg of the placepot.

  102. prav 3 years ago

    Happy days
