AUG 21-23: SPFL STATS PACK

celticrangersfans

HANDS up if you were stung by the Celtic v Rangers mythical match betting on Wednesday.

Celtic won this 3-2 after William Hill priced up Rangers at 4-5 – then admitted they’d got the odds wrong.

They got out of jail on Wednesday and have again priced it up this weekend with Celtic at Dundee United and Rangers home to Hibs on Sunday.

Again Rangers look interesting at 21-10 while Celtic are 8-11 favourites and the draw 7-2. Gers of course hit six against Hibs in the Challenge Cup at the start of the season and you’ve got to assume Celtic will have one eye on Tuesday’s Champions League return with Malmo as they head for Dundee United.

I’m on the 21-10 but remember I got it wrong last time out.

It’s another busy weekend in the SPFL starting tonight with Morton v St Mirren and these are some stats and specials from William Hill’s Owen Scott. Remember these are not tips.

MORTON v ST MIRREN (Fri)

The last time these sides met in a
competitive match in 2011 both
Peter MacDonald and Steven Thompson
both scored.
MacDONALD AND THOMPSON TO SCORE 6-1

DUNDEE UTD v CELTIC

Scott Allan could make his Celtic debut
at the home of his former club.
ALLAN TO SCORE AND CELTIC WIN 15-8

ABERDEEN v DUNDEE

The last three matches between these
sides have finished 1-1, 1-1 and 3-3.
MATCH TO BE A SCORE DRAW 19-5

HEARTS v PARTICK TH

Hearts have conceded a goal in eight
of their last nine competitive matches.
BOTH TO SCORE AND HEARTS WIN 3-1

INVERNESS v HAMILTON

Inverness are still looking for their
first win of the season. Hamilton will
be confident after last week’s 4-0 win.
HAMILTON DRAW NO BET 11-8

KILMARNOCK v ROSS COUNTY

Liam Boyce scored in Ross County’s
last visit to Rugby Park when County
won 2-1.
BOYCE TO SCORE AND COUNTY TO WIN 2-1 22-1

ST JOHNSTONE v MOTHERWELL

John Sutton will play against his
former side for the first time since
joining the Saints in the summer.
SUTTON TO SCORE ANYTIME 17-10

Dumbarton have not beaten QoS in
the last seven meetings, scoring only
two goals during that sequence.
QoS TO WIN TO NIL 11-4

LIVINGSTON v FALKIRK

Livingston have yet to score a goal
in the league this season.
LIVINGSTON NOT TO SCORE 9-4

RAITH v ALLOA

Mark Stewart opened the scoring in
Raith’s win over Alloa in March.
STEWART TO SCORE AND RAITH WIN 5-2

RANGERS v HIBS (Sun)

Ex-Hibee Kenny Miller has scored in
Rangers’ last three wins against Hibs,

Mythical Match odds were in shops.

Although the 4/5 in midweek looked wrong it was held for as long as possible and it was the weight of money which caused the changes.
